The folks at Animal House are amazing. I have brought my cats in to see them for 4-5 years now. Although it can sometimes be a bit on the expensive side, they are also open later in the evening. This is very helpful, because having a 9-5 job limits the time I could bring them in during the day.A couple months ago, one of my fur babies was diagnosed with intestinal cancer that couldnt be removed. They were most helpful during my time of trying to make difficult decisions. When my cat had to be put down, they were very comforting and helpful. A couple weeks after the fact, I received a very sweet sympathy card signed by all members of the staff. Made me cry, I was very touched. Ive had only good experiences here. Thank you Animal House!
This veterinarian is only concerned with money. When my horses needed emergency care they were more than willing to come to my home or see me in office. As long as I had $200 cash for the initial visit, that bill above over $1000. Now even though it it may not seem like a big deal but when I have a goat that his family to me it’s not a concern. They told me to bring it in the morning we’re gonna be closing and couldn’t wait 15 minutes longer. If you need a good vet It it may be a be a little drive but the prices are amazing at Houston County Veterinary. There you can find amazing doctors that are in the business for animal welfare versus profit.
Even though I only went in for my loved cat Mouse of 14years to be Euthanized since he was very sick. The Doctor and staff was very understanding and comforting. Then yesterday i was helping a new mommy cat for the first time who left her baby feeding it with a bootle but the baby didnt make it they took the baby to see if there was anything that they could do. But it passed. They staff was sympathetic and comforting. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much. Also for the card for mouse.
I just love this place and all of the people who work here. EVERYONE is great! The vets, vet techs, vet nurses and the office staff are all very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. I feel like theyre a big part of my family. They have taken care of my horses and my cats for more than 25 years, and I would never go anywhere else. They always go out of their way to help the animals and the people who own them. I wish they treated people too. I would be the first in line to be their patient!
Thank you to all the staff and Dr C. at Animal House!! I was so worried bout my old girl Ab going in and so happy leaving. Everyone super sweet, all my questions answered and got piece of mind. Definitely my go to.
So far they have been an amazing experience, Ive taken all of my pets to them. They do great work, are friendly, and affordable!
My favorite Vet in Clarksville, Of course I have been going to them since they opened up back in the 80s when it was Pollards Veterinary not Animal house. All the people who work there are awesome and Laura at the front desk has been there since it first opened and she is awesome. Thank you to all the staff that has been my fur babies family when they needed help.
Were able to get an appointment less than a week out, and at the time of the appointment, we were able to be in and out in about 15 minutes. Excellent service and care for our cat as well and the prices were much better than I expected, great place to take your animal
Savannah and I would like to thank Dr. Stephanie Bridges and Fur Baby nurses Ms. Alysha and Ms. Martha. We appreciate all your hard work and dedication for helping Savannah and all the fur babies. She was seen yesterday on June 24th, 2021 and she is recovering extremely well from her surgery. Thank you to all the Animal House Veterinary Clinic Team Members.
I went to animal house yesterday incredibly stressed, worried, and just out my mind. My puppy, and it’s my first too, wasn’t herself, and I was fearing the worst. I went there for an emergency visit and Brittany came out to help us. She was incredibly kind, calm, and explained everything in way I could understand. She was an amazing person to interact with and if every other staff member is just like her, well then this place will continue to be amazing. Thank you so much Brittany and Animal House staff(Also it wasn’t what I feared, and a simple enough fix thank god)
After my bloodhound fractured her tail and couldn’t get in at my normal vet, I called Animal House. They were able to get me in the same day! The vet tech that took my girl in and back out after the appointment was incredibly sweet, professional, and compassionate about the situation! Even though I wasn’t aloud to go in due to Covid, I felt 100% confident that my girl would be taken care of.I will be sticking with Animal House for the rest of my pet needs! Thank you so much!
The front desk attendees are rude. They take advantage of their no customers in the door policy. Were unable to ask questions about why our pets are at the vet to begin with. If they dont have your telephone number then theyll sit in the office and let you wait instead of being courteous and walking 30 to your vehicle and letting you know that they have finished.
There are no words that tell just how much our family appreciates the staff and Doctors at this clinic. With four farm dogs, two horses and multiple cows, there is always a need for some clinical guidance for someone who has gotten themselves into something and it usually always happens on a holiday. Dr. Johnson and staff are amazing. Thanks does not begin to tell them how thankful we are for them and their expertise.
I’ve been bringing my two golden retriever puppies here since I’ve gotten them. I brought them for their wellness checks when picked up from the breeders. The staff has been hands down family towards our dogs. The staff runs out to see them any time we are here, takes photos of them, and remembers all their medical records of the top of their head. (I think her name is mckayla or McKenzie.. sorry bad with names.) Dr. Mary loves our dogs and remembers all their quirks and behaviors. Recently my 5 month old golden had ate a sock. We rushed her to the emergency vet. Dr. Edwards performed emergency surgery on her and saved her life. She was informative, professional, and caring. Addy was her vet tech who tended to her at night and helped with the surgery. They gave me updates whenever I needed it and I couldn’t ask for better place to take care of my fur children.
They take your dogs away and bring back a $400+ bill when all you wanted was their yearly shots. They only care about money here.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My dog (miniature schnauzer) started to throw up blood, and we brought her here Tuesday, September 8. They don’t have someone who stays overnight, so we took her home, and brought her back the next day. That was the last time we saw her. Whenever we called, they would be busy, and couldn’t really tell us anything, but the doctor would call us back. Wednesday they said they’d call back about 2:30, they didn’t call until almost 5. They told us that she was getting better and we most likely would be able to bring her home Thursday. I called Thursday, and they hung up on me. I called back, and they couldn’t really tell me anything other than “she’s still not eating”, but the doc would call me back. Nobody called me back. My dad called same thing. He actually went there, and called them. They told him the doc was busy, but the doc would call him back. He said I’m in the parking lot. Suddenly the doc had time to talk to him (24 hours after they last called). They basically told us she’s getting better, but she’s not really, and they could never tell us what was wrong with her. Friday, September 11 we got a call that she passed away in the night, during this call they asked if we just wanted to pay for her stay over the phone. We went to pick her up, and she hadn’t been cleaned up, there was still blood all over her beard. I know with COVID, they’re just being extra cautious, but I wished they would have let me in to see her. Overall, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a vet, and I would never recommend this place. If you love your pet, and want to make sure they’re getting the best care possible, DON’T go to Animal House!
Price discrepancy. They tell you one price but charge you another. Im not even sure they did everything I asked because of covid restrictions but were happy to charge me accordingly. What was supposed to be less than 50 ended up being almost $80. After hours staff must just be random folks on a cell phone with no actual medical degree because they were less than helpful. I should have listened to the other reviews and taken my baby elsewhere.
I love this clinic so much, the staff is so kind and helpful and they genuinely care for the wellbeing of your pets. They are always extremely friendly and polite on the phones and often go out of their way to schedule appointments and answer your questions. My love of Animal House Clinic started 4 years ago, I was new to the area and I had to bring my puppy in for an emergency. We werent even patients there, but they got us in right away, reassured this nervous dog mom, took excellent care of my pup, accommodated our every need, and even called to check up on her the next day. Now I take both of my dogs and my rabbit to Animal House, I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else in the Fort Campbell area for pet care.
Weve been going to Animal House for a couple years now, since our last vet retired. They are absolutely wonderful. The staff is so very friendly. Recently, one of our cats had to have surgery to remove a bladder stone. She had some blood clotting complications a couple days after (a risk but normal) and they were so very attentive, making sure they she healed well. She couldnt have gotten any better treatment.
The doctors are very good and they care. They deserve 5 stars. However, I am giving only one star because of the people that work at the front desk. They are not organized and have no compassion for the animals. This isn’t the first negative experience I had with them. Talking to the office manager didn’t help. This morning they hung up on me 3 times. Then they transferred me to a voice mail. I called back told them I had an emergency with my animal and they said to leave a message at the voice mail. I will be called back shortly. 2 hrs later when I called back I was told that the person I left the message for wasn’t in today and neither was the large animal doctor. So you had me wait for 2 hours for nothing and I had to call someone else, which I could have done right always if I would have received the information and not been lied to.
I brought my pup in because he was not able to hold it through the night. He would go in the house and was really gassy. He started to become very thin even though he was eating plenty! I brought him to my vet twice... to just get antibiotics twice. And then my neighbor recommended dr Jerrod at animal house. They got me in immediately. Kept my pup over night took X-rays and did a blood panel and watched him. The dr called me 3 times within the first day and was so earnest about figuring out what was wrong. Communicated so clearly with me and took his time answering question. I bet all three conversations in that first day were 10-15 min long! They found out he had EPI within two days and he contacted me immediately and told me how to treat it and the most inexpensive place to get the medication. I’m so happy that my dog was so cared for and I felt so grateful to have a dr be so caring and communicative with me! I’d recommend them to anyone and everyone!
Called on a tegu they tried to tell me tegus dont require humidity. And gave me a bad attitude when i asked questions about husbandry and compairing information from what i know and they gave me completly wrong information on top of tereible and unprofessional attitude speaking down to me. Would not recomend taking any reptile to see them.
My fur babies have been going to Animal House Veterinary Clinic for several years now.The staff are always professional and courteous.I would like to thank the reception staff for all you do in your very busy clinic. The reception staff are always caring and helpful to everyone. Whether its making an appointment over the phone or coming in person it is always reassuring to know that you will be received with kindness and concern.I would like to thank Ms. Kerigan for everything she did for my fur babies and the medical care she gave to them. The care you gave was greatly appreciated.Thank you very much.
I have been using Animal House for the past six years and I absolutely love it! I have several cats and dogs and all are treated exceptionally well. The receptionist do a great job at explaining vaccines/procedures that each of my pets need yearly. They are very flexible when it comes to scheduling as well. The techs and doctors always take their time and explain everything along the way. Everything that can be done in the exam room is completed there to minimize stress on my pet. The facility is clean and I trust the staff with my precious furry family members.
Our fur baby, Piper, was rushed to Animal House with severe gastrointestinal bleeding and labored breathing as a result of what we believe was FIP. She was seen quickly, but unfortunately did not survive due to the severity of her condition. The vet tech (?) that I spoke with has been extremely helpful with keeping me informed in regard to protecting our other fur babies from becoming ill as well as planning for Piper’s remains. I would recommend this facility.
A few weeks ago the team did fantastic on my puppies tails... Yesterday my boy was shot. Not only did Dr Holt and his team do a phenomenal job dealing with me personally as stressed out as I was. most importantly they SAVED HIS LIFE!THANK YOU TO THE TEAM AT THE ANIMAL HOUSE!!! I CANT GIVE THEM ENOUGH PRAISE!!!
Brought in my mastiff and french bulldog for the first time and was very pleased with the service! the vet techs were very informative and the doctor was very sweet. my pups loved her!! I did not wait for a very long time and the prices were reasonable! I would recommend to anyone looking for a new vet.
They take such good care of our pets. The staff is great and they always go the extra mile.
My 8 month old Australian Cattle Dog had gotten a hold of a single shotgun shell plastic and pellets were all over the floor, thankfully he didnt get any of the powder. I called clinics in our area and they werent able to help me because they either werent taking new patients and wouldnt just transfer me to a vet just so I could get some help for my puppers or there were no 24/7 services in the area. I am so thankful for for the veterinarian and staff that were on call this Sunday they were able to help me over the phone and saved me an emergency visit and get my pup back on track. Even though he only ingested a very small amount of the pellets the vet on call was able to tell me what to do as a precaution if any were ingested and to prevent poisoning. This clinic went truly above and beyond for me and my pup and I am truly thankful for clinics like this one.
When you run an animal rescue like I do, you need dependable veterinary care, at any time of the day. Animal House is open nights when most clinics are closed. We use Dr Johnson and his staff for all of our rescues vet care. He is incredible- you truly cannot find a more competent, compassionate vet anywhere!! We are so grateful to have found them!
Dr. Johnson is the only vet I will ever trust to see my reptiles. He has helped me on so many occasions and has gone above and beyond to help me. I recently lost one of my three bearded dragons and was so worried about the other two so I went to him to have bloodwork and x-rays done on them to make sure they were healthy and it was so much cheaper than I expected. Bloodwork was around 140 and the X-rays were around 80. Dr. Johnson is such a wonderful and kind person and I can’t thank him enough for what he does.
I cant say enough good things about this place. I went in April of 2018 my 15+ year old dog Turbo was having breathing problems. I rushed her in at 5:30ish and they quickly formulated a treatment and diagnosis and keep her on O2 until they HAD to lock up for the night and set her home with me every night for piece of mind because there was no point of her staying over if she couldnt get oxygen. They treated the problem and came up with a solution. This March the unfortunate happened, Turbo had been backed over by car and was hurt very bad. They quickly sprang into action again. Giving her something for the pain and seeing what needed to be done. They advised my family and I every change without taking importance away form my girl. Even after the decision had to be made to put her to sleep they were EXTREMELY respectful and showed the deepest sympathy and compassion. They even asked everyone to keep the noise in the lobby down while we said goodbye. and after an appropriate time sent us a card. Dr. Mary (Im sure the rest of the staff is as well) hurts when your pet hurts and is very knowledgeable, but is not afraid to ask for help or second opinion in your pets best interest.
Awesome staff and Dawn Neal, DVM is amazing! They are nice, work around your schedule and very welcoming. I’m a new pet owner and they answer all my questions.
Nice staff and quick service. Waiting to be seen in the car can be a nightmare because of not being seen.
Great facility. The staff is always really nice and have always taken really good care of me and my babies. The first experience I had with them was when my cat got poisoned by a terrible person in my neighborhood and the staff was very supportive. They made getting my boy put down as nice as the possibly could. I was able to love and comfort him until the moment he passed. Theyve taken care of every animal Ive had since then. Im eternally grateful for my experience here. I would recommend them to anyone that truly loves their animal and would like to provide the best care they can. Wonderful place. Theyre open later than most and are more than willing to really talk to you and answer questions to put your mind at ease.
I gave Animal House one star for not adhering to an appointment . However I should add a 4 star for the healthcare my pets get at their clinic. I wouldnt mind waiting for any pet emergency. But I was made to wait on walk ins when they pushed for me to commit to an appointment. They provide top of the line medical care.
My 13 year old maltese has been hospitalized twice over the last month with Pancreatitis. The staff at Animal House have been absolutely amazing!! The first time she was sick I showed up first thing in the morning and they got to me very quickly and admitted her for IV fluids and observation. The second time was in the evening mid-week. I called, and they told me to come immediately and they worked her in. I was beyond satisfied with the level of care and the responsiveness of the staff. Each of the doctors who have treated her (Neal, Penick and Chandouin, and Edwards) have been very thorough and kept me well-informed. Stephanie at the front desk has also been absolutely amazing at looking out for my little girl and keeping my mind at ease while she was hospitalized. I have also utilized the emergency after hours service, and had a great experience. I would strongly recommend this clinic. They are very qualified and truly care about both the animals and pet owners.
Animal House has taken such great care of our dog. They have a wonderful staff and take very good care of our Molly. We have used the boarding service and we were very pleased. Great Job!!! Would recommend them to everyone. We use them for all our pets needs. Love the Doctors and staff... Happy Customer 😀
My male dog was attack by another dog and they saved his life. Since then all my dogs go to Animal House. The staff is friendly and professional.
Have an emergency with our pet. Called the after hours line and was immediately referred to Nashville. On call doesnt exist at this place, seems they dont want to get out of bed. Ridiculous! Wish I could give 0 stars!
What a friendly and welcoming atmosphere! Everyone was very nice and extremely efficient. Trixies exam was thorough and informative. No pushing of unwanted and unnecessary tests and treatments. Animal House is definitely our go-to for vet services now!
I was told this is the go to spot for emergency animal services, as they always had someone on call. After making 3 calls and waiting half an hour while my dog was bleeding, they hung up while we were trying to get help. Dont even bother with this place, it would be quicker to drive to Nashville to get pet care.
I absolutely love this place! They are amazing with my pets and they have the most friendliest staff!
Soo, I just wanna say, I dont recommend this place to anybody who would need medical attention outside of a regular check up. Reason being, I had a puppy who needed special requirements, quite possibly surgical attention. They failed to tell me what was wrong with him, had very poor communication and was never able to talk directly to the doctor who was supposedly being in charge over our puppy. They had him for almost a whole week and we kept getting told he can come home tomorrow without being told what was going on. Whenever we did get him back he was Skinner than before and nothing seemed to be getting better. We were charged more than what was originally quoted and was never given a break down prior to the procedures being done. Under 5 days his condition reverted back and Worsened, still didnt know what he had, because they could never tell us. Then we got him to another vet to get him medical care, only to be told that there was nothing they could do, because of how long it had been going on and the stage it had reached. So, with all that being said, this place is responsible for the death of my puppy, because to me, they were just in it for the money.
Thank you to everyone at Animal House last night that helped us last minute with my elderly dog Tick, I wish it could have had the same outcome as my last visit with an elderly dog. Saying goodbye was very hard but you all made it easier by showing compassion and understanding. Once again Im left being thankful that you all are open until 9 p.m.
My boyfriend and I recently lost our baby girl Madi. She was a 4 year old Boxer who unfortunately became randomly sick one day and passed away the following day. I was not around due to Army Schooling in another state so the news was extremely devastating. However, the personnel at the clinic were extremely helpful when she came in. We decided to cremate her so we can always have her in our lives. They said it will take a couple weeks to receive them. However, they came in really quick. Unexpectedly, the clinic sent a sympathy card due to our loss and it was truly appreciated. This clinic is absolutely amazing and the staff truly care for you and your animal(s).
I just want to thank Animal House for working with my vet from another clinic to make my dog comfortable with an overnight emergency. Unfortunately, he had to pass on but we are thankful for the care and understanding this team and doctors were able to give him with his brief time left with us. Thank you Animal House for taking care of our Buddy.
I super appreciate taking care of my dog right away after dislocating his paw. Great customer service and the vet techs were super nice to him ❤️.
As an independent rescuer, fair prices along with wonderful staff and care can be near impossible to find. Animal House is absolutely perfect. Working on our limited budget and doing everything they can to help us, this office has never failed to please me. What started as an evening emergency visit only ended up being our permanent new vet. Even for emergencies and overnight care they are fantastically priced. Their doctors truly care about making sure our animals, pets and rescues alike, are given top notch care. If you are looking for amazing vet care, Animal House is the place for you. Even if it is not close, it is worth the drive over.
Front desk ladies always seemed to be confused. The waiting room is pure chaos! They need to get pets into rooms right away otherwise they all go nuts and bark at each other in the waiting room. The pet care provided is good though.
Sweetest group of employees that thankfully worked with my budget so my boy could afford surgery. 10/10 would recommend. The hours they have are amazing also!
My husband and I take our two dogs here. We have never had any issues at this vet and we are usually seen very close to our appointment time. I also like that they do walk-ins considering you never know what to expect from our two lab mixes. I will continue to go here for all future visits with all of my animals.
On a Sunday my dog got sick very suddenly. After calling banfield and them telling me they are closing and can’t help me I called animal house. To be honest I was waiting for the same attitude and carelessness in the call back from animal house, but that was not the case at all. Dr McClousky was so understanding of my situation and told me should could meet me in 20 mins (on a Sunday y’all). Unfortunately I had to put my sweet dog to rest and when I tell you she was absolutely amazing, she was more than that. She reassured me I was making the right choice, explained ever step to prepare me, she sat with me, listened to stories, loved on him, gave me space when I needed it. I am forever great full for her and her tech Madison’s kindness. If i can ever find the strength to get another dog I will use animal house for everything!
We took my jack russell in Monday morning and he was diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatitis. We were told he had to stay in the animal hospital until his glucose levels were stable. This was devastating to me. He stayed through Thursday. I received calls twice a day with updates and have called back a few times with questions. I can’t put into worlds just how amazing, supportive And knowledgeable the doctors and entire staff were and still are!!! Thank you Animal house!!!!
We brought in our shih tzu puppy with a head injury. We were so scared and they did everything possible for him, all hands on deck, before transferring him to a 24/7 vets office in Nashville. He is still recovering, but at home now, and I truly believe the staff at Animal House made that possible with their immediate response. On top of that, they were so kind and compassionate and presented us with every available option with prognosis included. My puppy and I owe a great debt of gratitude to these wonderful people. Thank you so very much.
One of the best clinics weve visited across the country by far, let alone the local area. Weve been there several times, have seen most of the vets and techs, who have been great each time. Late hours are a super plus. Highly recommend!
In and Out fast with Nice and professional staff. Good with pets.
These people are the best. The genuinely care for your pets needs
I called at 9 am this morning with the promise someone would call I never heard back from them until I called back at 430 and was told the same information again and was also told they cant give you suggestions over the phone..when I called they said they were handling a emergency I guess my dogs bleeding nose wasnt...i will never take my dog to them
Hi! So, this is a long shot.. But I figure if you’re reading this you want to adopt a cat?I am moving in the next month & have three beautiful cats that I desperately need to rehome. No kill shelters. Not outside at my parents home. I rescued them as kittens & They are all too sweet for that:Shadow - solid black male 16-18 months oldSmoke- Ash’s brother, solid grey male 10-12 months oldAsh- literally looks like a mini Siamese puff ball, male 10-12 months old, small bc he’s the runtAll need shots and check ups.Insta ladyhaley_
Long story short took my 9 week old cane corso here and was told he had lung trauma and he was put on oxygen and the dr said he would be fine and to take him to Nashville so he can be put on meds and oxygen for 24 hours 10 minutes into leaving my puppy stops breathing and sadly passes away. Terrible experience here and my puppy could have lived if they put in more thought and care into him.
Not happy with this place. Should be zero stars. Took our sick puppy there. Was told she was getting better. Lack of returned phone calls from the staff over a 2 day period, and lack of communication between the 3 doctors who cared for our puppy is totally unacceptable. The front desk was saying our puppy is doing fine, but in fact she was dying. Due to this lack of communication, we were not there to hold our dying puppy. Totally inexcusable. And all we got was excuses. Never again, animal house.
Me and my fiancé went to the animal house vet, about a month ago numerous times, and we were told that they have exceptional care for their patients. When we walked in, the animal house looked very up kept and the front desk, along with the other patients and their owners, were very nice. When it comes to the actually reason for being there, I wouldn’t go to animal house at all.its $25 for a nail trimming and It’s $40-$50 a visit, not including anything else you need, like medication, or a cone. They kept telling us different information than what the other vets were telling us, like that our dog couldn’t get a rabies shot until a year, and we couldn’t get him nutuered until much later also. They gave our dog the wrong medication. When my fiancé called, they said sorry and to come pick up the right medication, but left out that we had to pay for that also. At this point we are feeling like they just wanted our money. Making strong “suggestions” to keep coming back every other day or other week for something. The breaking point was when they started to have us pay for medication or treatment before our dog got treated. When I asked why we are paying for this, the front desk simply said that I wouldn’t have to pay for it next time I come in. But we never had plans of returning . This isn’t a worker there, this is real life. We now go to animal clinic of north Clarksville. You can see that they actually care, and nail trimming are free.
They were nice but, we waited a long time for our appointment. On the phone, we were quoted about $45. I knew my kitten had an infection so, I figured we would need to pay for some medication so, I set aside $75. Yeah, we ended up paying $115 because apparently, the $45 is just for seeing a vet? I didnt realize the test for the infection cost extra. They also charged us $11 for giving her the first dose of medications. It was a syringe in the mouth, not a complicated medicine. If I would have known it would cost $11, I would have done it myself. This was a few months ago and, I realized today, I forgot to leave a review. Take your animals to someone who cares.
Amazing doctors and office staff . I recommend this clinic above all others in Clarksville. They really care about the animals and go above and beyond . Thank you Dr.Mary and staff for keeping me updated and taking such great care of my little Tori 🐕 ❤❤❤❤
Animal House is by far the best place in Clarksville T.N. to take your sweet animals. I have never felt so much compassion before from a staff as I have from here. I have 2 dogs and a cat and they are a part of our family. They have helped us with preventative and emergency procedures. They do a little bit of everything. The staff is very friendly and very prompt. Dr. Shane Sykes is the one who always helps us and he is very professional and friendly and really knows his stuff. They treat household pets as well as livestock. Thanks for all of your great work Animal House!! My animals will be life time patients.
Thank you so much to the awesome staff and vet over there for seeing my baby boy so late at night! I am beyond impressed with the fast service I received and the overall atmosphere of the clinic!
Did not have the best experience when we brought our old dog here. They kept him for about a week. Ran multiple tests on him. When we would see him he looked like he was laying in his pee. After getting the run around we took him home where we called a different vet that came to our house. We will not be coming here again.
Someone or something dumped three maybe two day old kittens in my garage a few days ago. Needless to say I had no plan to provide care for three additional animals especially needy kittens with no mama Cat. Two folks stepped up to help with feeding and care as I travel frequently and the little bits need frequent feedings and care. Tonight we had a huge scare because two of them seemed to be struggling to breathe. In no time upon entering the clinic the techs and vet were working on checking out the kittens and providing care. They were all wonderful and caring. I was most scared of what the bill would be and when it was time to pay I wanted to cry because of how fair the pricing was. There is no way these kittens deserved to be left to fend for themselves and I am totally appreciative of the care given and fair prices for the care. We still have a long ways to go but with hope and a prayer hopefully these little bits will thrive. Thank you.
My wife called them out for a simple 30$ horse vaccine and we were located down the street..after mileage fees and the barn call fee it totaled 140$. Dr. Skies was there for 2 minutes. I called, after my wife felt completely taken advantage of and their response was we actually helped you out with only charging 79 for the call instead of 89.... Rediculous. Thank you for YOUR service Animal House.
Love this clinic. They are so caring and considerate. Always extremely helpful every time I bring Tobey in.
We love Animal House. Theyre always attentive and helpful.
Im reading all these negative reviews and I honestly think theyre pulling them from where the sun doesnt shine. Having something wrong with your fur baby is obviously very stressful but theres no need to take it out on the people trying to help. Ive always had amazing service and care for my baby Keetin, even though hes an anxious barker and causes commotion.🙄 Gotta love him and Animal House!
Will never return here. We took our Pomeranian here a few months back, and recieved the worst service ever. We usually go to Eastview on Madison Street, but the only reason we came here was because they have extended hours. There was an incredibly long wait, and I was the only one in the waiting room. My dog was throwing up on me in the waiting room and no one gave an ounce of care. We finally got a room after repeatedly asking about one, and he was bleeding out of both ends. I came out after approx 45 minutes of cleaning this up in a room without anyone checking on me and told them to come in and help us or I was going to go to my regular vet and happily pay the emergency fee to have someone that cared about my dog take a look at him. He ended up staying overnight for an IV and just getting them to communicate with me the next day was like pulling teeth.. no one could tell me when I could pick him up or what his status was... 500 dollars later, he was feeling better, but I do not feel as though he was appropriately cared for. I will NEVER be back. NEVER
This veterinarian clinic is fantastic! The entire staff treats me like family, and treats my dog the same way. I cant praise them enough. From all of my family - thank you Animal House!
Absolutely the best vet I have ever been to! We have been using them for years and they take such wonderful care of all our animals when we come in! Very pleased with services and prices! Especially since they accept the spay/neuter certificates from The Humane Society of Clarksville. Weve used them for illness, 2 spays, a canine dental and shots. I also love their hours and its really nice they can handle emergencies as well. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for a vet in Clarksville!
We recently had to have our dog put down due to old age and hip issues. Dr Goodlett, Brooklyn and the rest of the staff were so professional and caring during this difficult moment. I know we did what was best for Smokey and it hurt to make that decision. Dr Goodlett was hurting with us and Brooklyn consoled our children the entire time. This staff is absolutely amazing! Thank you for making this a bit easier.
I take all my dogs there now. They helped save my wifes dog from parvo and were able to work with my budget. They arent over priced and the actually care about your pets needs.
They have a good habit of turning away dying animals. Their reasoning? Who knows. But theyre definitely in business for all of the wrong reasons, if helping the patient the best they can isnt their first priority. Theyve made it abundantly clear that it is, in fact, the least of their worries, actually. Scum! Do NOT take your beloved pets here. ESPECIALLY in an emergency!
I have used Animal House for years for my dogs and horses, and always been pleased with the vets and vet techs. I have spent thousands here, but will be taking my business elsewhere after today. I took my four dogs in to be seen, had made an appointment for each. I come in and verify what needs to be done with the office staff. The lady asks if I want bordetella for all of them, I confirm “that is the shot for the groom, dog park, etc?”. to which both ladies up front answer “yes”. I respond saying that “only Wyatt needs this shot, he is the only one who goes to the groomer and is ever around other dogs besides those at our home”. Upon check out after I had gotten all my animals in the car I realized I was charged a bordetella vaccine for all four dogs. I called the office and the receptionist I spoke to initially was very nice and apologized for the miscommunication, and told me they would credit my account for the three that were not supposed to be given. Then Stephanie, I assume one of the office managers, calls me back and tells me she spoke with the person who checked me in and I definitely said I wanted that vaccine for all four dogs. I politely responded that I was positive I said “only Wyatt,” after our conversation about the groomer. She replied that again, the person who checked me in knows what I said and the animals had already been vaccinated. Seriously? I didn’t ask for them all to be vaccinated for it and at over $20 each that is almost $70 of services I did not ask for. She told me she would “check with staff again” and get back with me. But at this point they can keep my money because that will be the last they get from me. I could have easily over looked the misunderstanding and miscommunication by the receptionist had they made it right by reimbursing for services I did not request. However the way I was just spoken to, and accusational tone as if I am now lying about what I said is insulting and unprofessional. I was ultimately offered a credit for ONE of the THREE vaccines that were incorrectly given. Poor customer service all around. We will be finding a new vet.
I took my dog there as an emergency after 5 pm, and they were pretty much the only ones open. The techs that worked with me at first seemed very nice. The other techs that came in werent. They were rude and unsympathetic, and hurried us. It seemed like they were only after money and didnt even care about my sick puppy, the only time they even got near him was to take his temp and to test for parvo. This is the first and last time I will ever bring my fur baby there.
Friendly awesome with our dog. And even though she gets shots she goes,to them with no problem.
Weve tried several local vets and none were knowledgeable on English bulldogs. Treated with great care, not over charged, treated my girls for what they came in for. Pther vets have done th. Well you need this or you need that but they didnt. She gave me nothing but positive complements on how well cared for my girls were and that I was doing great. Highly recommend!!
Dr. Lewis and the rest of the Animal House staff are wonderful! Answered all of our questions and have taken great care of our babies!
The office worked us into a busy Friday evening schedule to see our puppy who was having UTI symptoms and in pain. It was a huge relief to us and our furbaby! Also, they have a very friendly staff and a cute and comfortable office.
Im giving four stars, only because I loved the Veterinarian/surgeon I met with and morning staff! But, intentionally, I called and made an appointment and they asked if I would like them to call and get the records from a past vet and I said yes. Day of appointment asked me if I had my babies records and I told them that they said they would get them for me. Day of the procedure, I showed up on time and they once again asked me if I had them. Then told me I didnt have everything my dog needed to have the procedure so I had to drop more money than expected. No problem. They told me they would call me to let me know if it came back negative/ or positive. Never got a call. Which, again. Is fine. Staff is super friendly and makes up for it. But. During pick up. The woman who pulled us in the back was extremely rude to my mom. My mom corrected her saying that our dog was a she and then she continued to call her a he. My mom then corrected her again and she rolled her eyes and said sorry, Im just night staff. I warmed up the situation but when my mom continued to ask questions, she had no idea what my mom was talking about (who is a medic) and she scrambled through papers. It kind of broke my heart that the surgeon didnt come back (who I loved) to talk to me about it all and the process. When my baby came back to me, she had feces all over her bottom and some blood on her chest. She came back smelling like she wasnt just groomed two days ago.Genuinely. I loved the morning staff and the person who performed her surgery - her teeth look AH-mazing. But the little things did throw me off.Updating: Very sad and disappointed. Have been going to for a while and kind of feel let down. Moo went in for an emergency and the vet was amazing. The girl going over the medications with us was just reading off the package and could not answer my questions. Was given two useless (technically three) useless prescriptions, one sold to me JUST IN CASE she had diarrhea. What ultimately hurt was I was sold a medication my dog was allergic to after a $480 bill and was told to just give it to my other dog “cosmo” after I have said in the past and to that woman that Cosmo is not my dog, I just gave moo. So on top of the $480 bill I have a three useless medications, one she can’t use because she is allergic to and the others because they were for “just in case.” Asked if there’s anyway they can accept that medication that I didn’t touch and the one that I used one pill from back to go toward the new now $90 medication and was denied. I for sure miss my old vet tech Alexa and feel like everything is just about money since Covid. Will be going elsewhere.
I absolutely love this place the staff is very friendly and they really care about the pets😍😍😍chi chi loves it too
These nurses and doctors here are amazing....I would recommend them to anyone!!
Had a great experience ! Mr. Johnson was my vet and he was excellent!
Today I had an appointment at Animal House Veterinary Clinic to drop my dog off for a dental cleaning procedure. I was supposed to drop her off, sign some paperwork, and be gone. I arrived for my 8:10 appointment at 8:14, checked in as usual, and was told to wait. I spent the next THIRTY minutes waiting and watching as 3 other customers checked in AFTER me and were all called back to be seen before I had even been called back. I asked 1 of the 3 ladies working the front desk what was going on and was told I would be the next one called back. Before I even sat back down, another customer (who arrived after me) was called back. Finally, after FORTY-FIVE minutes of waiting in the lobby I had to get up and leave because I had to get to work. I then had to drive across town to return my dog home, then back across town to get to work. Completely wasted 2 hours of my morning. Never in my life have I had to wait in a lobby for 45 minutes. No explanation. No apology. I have been bringing my 2 dogs to Animal House since 2008. That ended today.
Animal house in Clarksville on Dover road was best experience I have ever had with a veterinary clinic. They took there time explaining the problem with pet. Friendly, kind And warm staff. My Brady had pravo and they helped him thru the deadly awful virus. When I thought it was all over and no hope they cared for him and got him well for my family. Super service. I would recommend they to all pet lovers. If you not satisfied with were you are going pretty need a new version. This is the place. 100% satisfied. Thank you for all you do! You brought my family back together. I will forever be your customer. I love the animal house!!
The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We wouldnt take our cats anywhere else!
They told us they would work with us on our bill, had us pay a $300 down payment. Then when we went to pick her up, they tell us we cant have our dog back until we can pay at least $500 more. I will never use animal house again, and we have been going there for years. You dont tell someone you will work with them and then hold their dog hostage, that just isnt right.
I would like to express my gratitude to the entire staff at the Animal House. A truly professional caring group. Thank you ALL, so very much!!!!!
No matter what vet I see or what time I come through there, they are always on the ball and give my animals top care. Theyve helped me out when Im strapped for cash. They take care of all of my horses and smaller critters. Ive never had an issue with them that wasnt quickly resolved.
I want to thank everyone at this clinic. My cat mj was very sick pretty much on a not so good level. The doctor Mrs Edwards here saved my cat she makes miracles happen. Ive never been so happy. Shes totally my number 1 vet... all did an amazing job.. thanks everyone means alot ♡♡♡ my cat was in here 12-21-15 to 12-28-15 and the days they were also closed they let me sneak in and see my loved one because I was soo worry. This vet needs an award...
Last night my pet had to emergency surgery, they staff was the emergency staff, they were amazing and caring towards both myself as well as my dog, they explained when things got rough and y during surgery and when the options are. Very great group. Dr shannon ( from new hope) and dr Goodlett, and Mr cody thank you for taking care of my best friend and helping him.
I have went to Animal House dover road since 2001 and low and behold just because I was 2 mos behind on rabies shot for my lab that they would not sell me the heart worm prevention lmbo, really!!!! My income hasnt been the best lately but do they care? They can kiss my butt cause I can get heartgard plus from other places and probably cheaper. But I wanted to keep all things on record there. Times are getting tough and finances are tight for some. Oh well lol
Took both my dogs here for a year. There is always a wait and the waiting room is very hectic with very little organization. They spayed my puppy and tried to charge me more for her being in heat before the surgery, but there’s no way she was in heat. She started two and a half months before and ended her cycle prior to the surgery. They did give me my money back, but it seemed as if they were trying to con me.
