I went here several years ago for a clutch issue and was quoted at over $2,000 to get my car running again. It was more than the blue book value of my car so I asked what was absolutely necessary and they said all of it and offered to buy my car from me if I couldnt afford it. I went to another mechanic who fixed my clutch issue and replaced my brakes for $450 and said that none of the things that Brocks Auto listed for me to get repaired actually needed to be repaired. He told me that they just made up all of those repairs to get more money from me or to manipulate me into selling my car to them for a cheap price. Its been several years and I still havent gotten any of the repairs they said I needed ASAP and my car is running fine. Ive gotten it serviced by a few honest mechanics in the city who have all said that it still doesnt need any of the repairs that Brocks told me I needed ASAP years ago. They are not honest mechanics and will do work that your car doesnt need just to charge you more. The issue with my clutch was resolved by just flushing the hydraulic lines. Brocks wanted to replace the clutch cable and the clutch which was totally unnecessary. These folks are just scamming people out of their money.

My boyfriend and I took his 2013 Hyuandai Santa Fe to Brocks for a turbo replacement after receiving a crazy estimate to have it replaced. The service was phenomenal. They were very professional, honest and fast. All these qualities are super hard to find in mechanics these days. Definitely will recommend this place to friends and family and probably won’t be taking our vehicles anywhere else.

Had a common issue with my VW A/C that required a solenoid replacement. Called 4 different garages, and Brocks was the only one that would do it without insisting on replacing the entire A/C compressor.To me, thats a sign of an honest shop that cares about their customers.They were crazy busy, but squeezed me in after hours to get the job done. From the front desk, to the manager, to the mechanic working on the car... All were friendly, accommodating and professional every step of the way.I always hold my breath before bringing my car to a new mechanic. So so glad to find a place I can trust. I cannot recommend them enough.

I was changing my oil yesterday and found that I couldn’t get the drain plug off (First oil change on a CPO vehicle, possibly over torqued). I called this shop late Friday afternoon and they said they could help me out. The gentlemen there couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. They got my car up on a lift immediately, loosened the plug, showed me a trick for how to fix this problem if it ever comes up again, and didn’t charge me a dime. They really saved the day for me. I will definitely be back.

I was looking for a local, trustworthy auto shop and am so glad that I went to Brocks. I ended up needing transmission work done and they had me in and out in no time. Pricing was reasonable and most importantly transparent. They went to extra lengths to make sure that I was satisfied with my experience and I will definitely be going back if and when I have car issues again. Cant recommend these guys enough.

I’ve been taking my cars to Ron at Brock’s for years. He’s always very helpful with explaining how urgent repairs may or may not be and always squeezes me into his schedule when I need it. He solved a problem on my old Bonneville that 5 other mechanics couldn’t figured out and keeps my 22 yr old Tacoma running smoothly. I couldn’t recommend him more!

Got my brakes serviced on my Honda Fit, and Ron fit me in with while dealing with a full schedule. This is an excellent shop. He explained the extra attention that was paid to the job to optimize the results. I decided to drive Uber tonight and this is the best and most balanced feel Ive ever had from a pad and rotor service. Couldnt be more pleased or grateful. This is workmanship and honesty at its finest.

Broke or not, take it to Brock’s! I take my car here for oil changes and they’re always finding things that I have noticed, but never really acknowledged. Like that moldy air filter, which I notice for the first few mins of turning on the AC. Or that I’m out of windshield wiper fluid, but don’t remember to pick it up. Or that my brakes are a little soft. Things that I don’t take as seriously as I should, they do. They’re looking out for me and that means I’ll continue to bring my car here!

Ive been a Northside resident for about a year and a half. In that time Ive been to Brocks a handful of times. Ron is super friendly and knowledgeable. I had a coupon for an oil change at Pep Boys recently, and they recommended I get my valve stem replaced. I called Ron to see if the price they were offering was reasonable and he said to do it. Hes also talked me out of getting work I thought needed done, despite the fact it meant he lost on the money. Thats why Im writing this now. Hes a stand up guy and hes won me over as a customer. We came in in a hurry and from out of town (so had no idea of where to go) to fix a horrible scraping noise after a snow storm. They got us in so quickly, pulled out kids toys for our restless toddlers while we waited. Were incredibly quick, thorough, and even replaced things we didn’t even ask about (Athens snow storm bent up our windshield wipers very badly to the point of needing replacement). To top it all off they just handed over the truck my 1.5 year was playing with just because. I’ve honestly never enjoyed a auto experience or mechanic and staff more. Don’t go anywhere else!
