Our heater stopped working in the middle of a cold spell. I called and in less than 8 hours it was fixed. Great cost for labor, and tech. was responsive, friendly, and masked. Will use again.

Nick and Jason inspected my furnace today--they explained the issues they found and discussed what was most important to get done, and what it would cost. They were clean and worked efficiently, and then they showed me exactly what they did, so I felt confident about their work. I highly recommend this small, local, and family-owned company. They are now my go-to company for heating and a/c maintenance and repairs--great company!

They installed my heater quite a few years ago. I had an issue with it this year and Tom came right away to take care of it. I felt like I was catching up with an old friend as he walked in and he took care of everything. This company is the best at making sure that the job is done right and you feel great about who you are having the work done by. This is the kind of business all other businesses strive to be like.

Called Alternative Heating & Air for a second quote. They came in lower and were able to complete the repair the next day. Will use them again!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one is well deserved. Great company, the owner went out of his way to make sure he serviced my unit the very next day. If you’re looking for a trustworthy HVAC contractor that won’t give you the run around and make sure he does everything he can to fix your unit this is the company to do it. The best. In an industry, like many, that has the ability to take advantage of people they are a refreshing alternative. They are honest and talented which I think are the two most important attributes you could wish for when having someone diagnose and repair your issues. Theyve always done right by me. All around excellent service!!! The technicians, Tom and Edwin, thoroughly explained what needed to be done. Tom gave me some diy options which didnt make me feel pressured to use his service. Look no further, this is the only company you should use for any heating and air issues!!!! I had another company come out and look at my HVAC unit that was not putting out any heat. They had told me I needed to put in a while new unit, in the amount of $8,500, because the control board was bad and the part was not available anymore. I then had Alternative come out for a second opinion, in the hopes of maybe getting a slightly lower price on a new unit. They came out and within one hour had figured out the real problem and fixed it!!! So instead of having to buy a new $8,500 unit, I only had to pay $89 for the service!!!! The most honest and reliable company ever!! I will never use anyone else ever and neither should you!!!

Service! Service! Service! These guys are professional and have figured out that integrity and word of satisfied mouth will get them more business than selling people things they dont really need or cant afford.They explain things to you. I like that.But best of all, they show up when they say they will! Not everyone does that.They really ARE the Alternative to the others!

Great service with an emphasis on quality and value. Very friendly and professional technicians. Installed a new condenser and serviced our 30 year old system 4 years ago and still going strong.

A.C. went out last night & called the next morning at 8am. They had Tom come out just after 1pm same day & in less than 30 mins he had found the problem & fixed the faulty wires & checked everything else out just in case! Tom is awesome & we will definitely be reccomending this company to our friends.

Its the middle of August in Chico. My AC quits. I call Alternative Heating and Air at 6:00 p.m. Tom shows up before noon the next day and fixes it. Although my system is going on 15 years old he does not try to sell me a new on. Im all in with this company.
