My go to waxing spot! I’ve been going here for over a year maybe and have never been anywhere else. Nicky does a great job & makes it as painless as possible. She’s also quick. Make sure to check yourself before you leave because sometimes there are thinner hairs hiding that you can find better than the technician. I’d also recommend to get a steam it helps lessen the pain and open your pores up. I’m always treated with respect at this waxing salon and I will continue to be serviced here!

I’ve only been serviced twice...however, I’ve booked 4 times. Twice I had to lose $25 due to their horrible cancellation policy. One time I was on my menstrual and felt uncomfortable, the other time I was 10 mins late. There should at least be a 72hour cancellation policy. Nonetheless, I’ve happily found a waxing facility that does just that, have a 72hour cancellation policy.

I have never had such a luxurious wax spa treatment as the one that can be experienced at Queen Noir! The Boss Ladies are very professional, personable, and excellent with serving their guests! I always want to support my own if I can!Second, they are professional, sanitize very well and are always timely. I have never had to wait to be seen as they stay on track with appointments.Last but not least, Brazilian waxing can be a pain. I’m always a little nervous before each appointment. I can roll with the punches of waxing because beauty is pain right? Well the way Star waxes, makes it feel painless even when I wait longer in between appointments. She uses a chocolate wax and I love the smell and aroma of it.I highly recommend them and will continue going here as the service is impeccable. I’ve already started referring friends.

I’ve gotten a wax from plenty of major chains, and this black owned business has given me the best result out of my 10 years of waxing. To be transparent with those considering this business, I lean on the coarser side of the spectrum, so I can imagine the outcome for many will be great. Che did my wax It was ok but I feel that maybe she felt that she HAD to talk to me through the whole session which made me feel a little uncomfortable but other than that everything was good definitely going back

So I went to another wax place that uses chocolate wax and let’s just said my experience wasn’t nearly not even half of the experience I had today at queen noir! Nicky omgggg she is everything! Pain bare minimum! No lie! I will definitely be back! I give that a A+ for service!! And it’s black owned what more can you ask for.

Love this place.My go to girl is Tosin, and she is beyond amazing. My first time was last month, and I was really nervous. But everyone there assured me that it would be fine. I was then lead into the room by Tosin, who took time to explain what she was going to do, and the pain that I may feel in certain areas. My first wax took about 45-50 mins, mostly bc I hate pain and Tosin wanted to make sure that I was as comfortable as possible. My last appt was Sat, and I was again scheduled with Tosin who gave me some maintenance tips to use before my next appt. I highly recommend this place for anyone with sensitive skin or its their first time.

So comfortable! Ok, so obviously getting waxed isnt going to feel like sunshine and marshmallows (sorry to burst your bubble), but everyone here works to make the experience as great as possible. The storefront is adorable and has a ton of art on the walls, most of which, is for sale. This was my first wax in years, and my previous experience low-key traumatized me, so I was super nervous. The lady sitting at the desk (Nikki, I think) was so welcoming and warm! She immediately struck up a conversation with me and made me feel at ease. Skye was the same. They answered all of my questions and she turned on music to play in the background. She then worked to make me focus on her and our conversation instead of what she was doing to me. I was too nervous to get everything waxed, even though I booked a Brazilian, and she calmly and gently reassured me that it was ok to just do a bikini wax until I was more comfortable. Meanwhile, I didnt feel much pain at all! Ill definitely be back and Ive already made a follow up appointment for their South Holland location.

I have been getting waxes for three years and this is hands-down the worst place that I’ve ever been to. I was bleeding when she was done with my wax, this is something I never experience in all my three years of getting waxes. The facility when you first walk in is nicely decorated, but next I was presented with very rude customer service, so that was disappointing. The wax room is self is raggedy and half put together. There is spray paint on the wall and the wax table is DIY and barely holding up. There aren’t even any mirrors in the wax room to look at your service once the wax is complete. The owner was very rude and nasty when I paided at the end. The wax specialist children was there too so I guess it is a day care also. Overall I would never be returning, I couldn’t believe how rude my service was they make it so hard to support black businesses. Words can’t describe how disappointed I was. I wouldn’t send my worse enemy here.
