John is the absolute best! I have been going to him for the last 2 years, and he is easily the best barber I have ever had. Very professional and provides a comfortable experience, and of course the haircut itself is phenomenal. All of my friends have told me how much better my hair looks after I go see John. I cannot recommend International Salon and Spa enough!

I have been going to John for 20 years now. I tell him all the time that I use to pay $8 for a hair cut from him. Time and price has changed but the fantastic job he does never changes. I live an hour away now but I I still will make the trip to get it done right.

I have been getting my haircuts from John since the original Devon and Western location. Its been about 20 years, and I never once had a complaint with my haircut or beard line-ups (he did beards before the pandemic). Hes a professional, and takes all precautions for the pandemic very seriously. A gentleman. There are services available for women as well such as nails and eyebrows (not sure about during the pandemic, however). The online booking system is simple and really convenient - you know you have to be there at a certain time and you dont have to wait so long for a cut. The times I had to go to another barber, I honestly felt like I was cheating on a gf lol. Love this barbershop. Check him out!

I’ve moved away from Rogers Park, but still make it back on occasion to catch up with John and get a superb haircut.Prices are extremely reasonable and John does it the European way— complete with hot foam and a straight razor.Highly recommended!

John is my savior man 🤣 I’ve been going to him since I think March 2019 and he has never disappointed. Great price, he could easily charge 30$ if he wanted too. Great service as well. Edit: He still has not disappointed. I used to be nervous to go get a haircut but now I’m relaxed because I know he’s going to do a great job. He has great prices for how good he cuts hair so please try to give a little extra if you have to spare. :) It is September 2020 by the way. Almost a year and a half now.

I will never get my haircut anywhere else. John is the best of the best and takes the time to make sure Im perfectly satisfied with my style. Super affordable compared to other salons in the city, and much more personable. You never feel like youre being rushed out. Youre more than a paycheck at International Hair Salon. 10/10 would (and do) recommend.

Only go here for eyebrow threading and have been for the last couple years. Jessie is by far the best threader Ive ever been to- she is quick and pretty much pain free. And my brows always look so much better after leaving. I recommend her to everyone! Plus you cant beat her prices. Make sure you call ahead to check that shell be there, she doesnt work all day.

Ive been getting my haircut here for over a year now, and my experience gets better and better each time. Jon is fantastic at giving mens haircuts (European style) and pays attention to details. He genuinely remembers how you style your hair and how he cut it last time. Love that he uses an old style razor blade to clean up your neck after the hair cut.I would recommend him to anyone.

After my first visit, this is my new favorite hair cut place. After showing a photo or 2 of my previous hair cut, and a minimal description, John not only perfected my desired cut, but improved it. I would recommend anyone to use this salon, especially with their inexpensive pricing.
