Dr Azim and the folks at East Erie Dental are wonderful to have helping me. I have been patient of Dr. Azims for over 10 years and have always gotten careful attention. Highly recommended.

Very good practice, I have a fear of the dentist and it’s been a great experience here which has eased a lot of that anxiety. Dr. Azim is my primary dentist and Dr. Akbar has done my fillings, both are wonderful and take the time to explain things to me and make sure I’m comfortable during exams and procedures. Dr. Akbar spent a lot of time and effort making sure my fillings were just right which I really appreciated, and when I had a issue with tooth pain, Dr. Azim made time for me in her schedule ASAP to make sure I got it looked at. All the staff have been kind to me and it’s a cute office, some of the chairs even have a massage feature. Definitely would recommend this office!

After not having dental insurance for a few years, I had A TON of dental work that I needed to get done. A dentist I went to in the suburbs gave me a complete evaluation of roughly $10,000 for my “perfect teeth” plan and asked me if I had a rich uncle that I could borrow the money from when I said how unrealistic that would be for me. Needless to say I was very intimated to go to any dentist, and I tried quite a few until I found East Erie. On top of being the friendliest staff, they are always considerate of the work I need in relation to my insurance, and what’s realistic for me to get taken care of in that specific insurance year. Since I had so many issues, I was always self conscious of my teeth, but the staff here never made me feel judged or embarrassed about them. I have finally gotten down to my twice yearly cleanings and needing very minimal work done in the future. I truly never thought I’d see the day! Not to mention how careful and gentle the hygienists are- something very noticeable to someone with a sensitive mouth. Thank you so much to the entire staff at East Erie ❤️

Definitely a very clean, welcoming, and relaxing dentist office.As for staff- very efficient and knowledgeable.HOWEVER— pricing warning! Very expensive.I’ll be back for a follow up but won’t return after that. I can continue my follow ups for $600 less than what I pay here. It is clean and relaxing, but I rather save my money!

I have been getting my teeth cleaned at East Erie Dental since September 2020. Im so so happy and thankful to be in such great hands with Shannon and Dr. Azim! All the staff at East Erie dental is so wonderful from the moment you walk into their door to the moment you leave. Everyone treats you with such respect and kindness. Now that I have found East Erie dental, I am not going anywhere else to get my teeth cleaned or any type of dental work done unless referred by Dr.Azim because I have found a such a wonderful dental family! I always have a great experience at East Erie Dental... the dentist are so good at what they do and all of the clinic staff are very friendly and professional and they’re very understanding... the clinic is top-notch clean and the dentists are all very knowledgeable and so is the staff... and I love the fact that they offer payment plans and they work with you financially... this is the best dental office I’ve experienced!!

Honestly, I would not recommend this clinic. My wife is always in pain for a week or two after each visit. The work they do isn’t the great, she has tried a different clinic now & has not been in pain, the results are superb, & they wouldn’t cheat you! This clinic apparently want to charge my wife $150 for not being able to attend her appointment. She doesn’t want to continue dealing with them & they insist on charging her! From what I know, that’s called rip off! Wouldn’t recommend this Clinic to anyone!

Staff and safety measures are the very best.Dr. Azim is extremely talented in creating a tooth that looks real. Her expertise is bar none. All my experiences here have been excellent. If you have any preliminary questions, they explain it well. This is the best dentistry I have ever experience in my many years.

Got a pretty extreme diagnoses upon my visit only to have a 2nd and then 3rd opinion entirely contradict what my dentist here said - for reference, it would have been THOUSANDS of dollars had I trusted the dentist here. The 2nd and 3rd opinions I received were both vehement in saying that I in no way shape or form needed the service they claimed I did. I had a friend experience something similar in which she took her suggested services from East Erie to another dentist who had never heard of the service she was told she NEEDED.In addition, I requested medical records from my visit to bring to another dentist for an opinion and it was a process from hell to obtain. Instead of released MY RECORDS they questioned me, the secretary said she had to check with the dentist first (makes no sense, they are my records therefore I am entitled to obtain them), and then on top of that, once the records were received, another dentist called to discuss the diagnosis I had received and the staff here was unwilling to collaborate. Poor practice, would not recommend.I think they try to take advantage of younger and/or naïve people to make money.

I love the service that I receive at East Erie Dental. The dentists and hygienists are great and they care about the health of your teeth and gums. The staff is excellent and are super caring. The location is convenient, too. If you are looking for excellent dental care, I highly recommend East Erie Dental-SE!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Azim for 16 years, I have never made any review of Dr. Azims practice until now and I think it is time that I express my opinion about her office (East Erie Dental) and about dr. Azims dental practice.When I was 8 years old a misfired slingshot of a friend broke my upper middle tooth and since then I have been to tens of different dentists in several different countries. I have long experience with many different Dental practices and I find Dr. Azims practice as one of the best ones if not the best. And, I find her staff to be most professional and very friendly.When you make an appointment with Dr. Azim you should be there on time because basically there is no waiting for your dental work and the maximum waiting in their waiting room is 2 to4 minutes, at most. The wait room follows the policy of social distance completely and when you enter the receptionist measures your temperature and asks you to disinfect your hands before you sit down.When you enter the operations room you find the equipment are spotless and shining and very clean as well as most modern and sophisticated. When you sit on the chair you feel the soothing massage on your back and you watch the beautiful scenery from around the world on TV in front of you complimented with a soft and relaxing music. The tools to be used in your mouth are opened from a sealed and disinfected plastic bag right in front of you. After few minutes that a friendly and very professional dental assistant examines your tooth and does the preliminary things including disinfecting your mouth with the special gargle and takes X-Rays, if necessary, the doctor arrives in the room with a big smile and greats you.Dr. Azim is one of the best doctors that I have seen in my life, if not the best of them all, shes extremely competent and very very aware of all the new advances in dental practice and she is very very careful with her operation and tries to keep your comfort in mind at all times and minimizes patients cost with suggesting the best solution for the problem at hand. You can always expect to receive the best care at East Erie Dental. It means something when you see the same doctor and main receptionist for 5 years and counting when you could go elsewhere for free !

As you can probably guess I was not looking forward to my root canal appointment! I was expecting a lengthy and painful experience, however I was surprised to be in and out of the office within an hour! They did a great job, and everyone was super friendly. The dentist checked on me multiple times throughout the appointment to make sure I was doing okay and not feeling any pain. It was very appreciated!! Thank you!

So happy to have found E Erie Dental! One of the best cleanings I have had in years by hygienist Shannen, and Dr. Cheng was fantastic. He took his time to thoroughly educate me on my dental health. Highly recommend!!

I have been going to this practice since 2008 and have stayed loyal because of the service and genuine care they have for their patients. I have nothing but great things to say and with COVID, they are extremely safe to keep their staff and patients safe.

This place is the best. The staff is so nice. I’ve been to many other offices before and this is one is by far the best. The office is super clean and nice. Dr. Azim is amazing and has great bedside manners. I usually have anxiety going to any dentist, but she took good care of me. I’m Very happy.

I feel very fortunate that I found East Erie on my first shot of finding a dentist once I had moved to Chicago. They are very friendly and honest about what treatments are necessary or not. The space is very clean and Ive never had to wait long at all to be seen.

This practice is absolutely abysmal. Although they are higher in price compared to other practices in the area, I continually came back for about 2 years due to location being walkable to my apartment and evening availability. Aside from that I do not recommend. My final straw was being spoken to via email like a child when I asked for an extension of a week to pay my bill due to a messed up bank account from fraudulent activity. They proceeded to be very nasty to me and remind me of a time I held a balance for 6 months. Which was laughable considering I had requested not to have work done because I could not afford it at the time due to the death of a close family member that had financially drained me. I thought at the time they were being nice when they said I could hold a balance til my next appointment. Which I did and paid promptly at checkout at the next appointment as they suggested. Fast forward a year later after a cavity filling when I called and asked for a one week extension while I get a new debit card due to the fraud and my account being a mess in charges and they proceeded to be nasty and throw the time I held a balance in my face. These people are crooks, they also never give you the same dentist, its a rotating parade in there. I would rather my teeth rot than ever come back to this abysmal pit of nasty humans.

UPDATE ....THE OFFICE CHARGES $50 TO RELEASE X-RAYS. I’d give zero stars if I could. Where do I start? Let’s begin with the office’s deceitful business practices. When confirming my appointment, I was told this wasn’t a major appointment and all that was going to occur was the placement of a cavity cap. I mentioned multiple times to anyone that would listen at this shady practice I preferred to hold off untilthe new year to get any major work done. My appointment was late last year. Twenty minutes into my appointment I realize the dentist drilled my tooth down to nothing to prepare for a temporary crown. I was deservedly upset after the appointment and expressed this to the front desk staff. Also, I am a Type I Diabetic and the appointment occurred the day before Thanksgiving. Performing this work at a time when everyone was going to be out of the office for a few days was irresponsible on the dentist’s behalf. A minor infection for someone with a chronic illness can produce life threatening complications. A few days later I experienced tooth pain where the crown was placed and was advised to come in and speak with the owner of the practice. I schedule an appointment to see her and hope for a resolution to a less than idealsituation. I arrive at the appointment, this woman comes into the room, we discuss the matter and I express frustration with what happened. How do I walk in expecting a cavity cap and leave with a temporary crown? Of course the doctor blamed me for being misinformed, offered a root canal with out of pocket costs partially covered by the practice (this never happened they always told me their root canal schedule is full). The best part is while I expressed my frustration with the matter I told the doctor/owner that I felt the only interest they had in me as a patient was the amount of money they can collect from me by year-end. The doctor/owner then replies, “Do I look like I need your money? No..seriously, tell me...do I look like I need your money?” Now I’ve encountered individuals with inflated egos because of whatever title or power they think they hold but never anyone as pompous and obnoxious as this woman. Avoid this place at all costs if pompous, obnoxious, dishonest and irresponsible dentists are not your thing.

East Erie Dental is the best place to go. All the staff helps the patient feel comfortable and at ease being at the Dentist. Dr Azim is so wonderful, she explains all the work that is being done in your mouth so that we have a good understanding of what is going on. She is gentle and caring. I have never had such a wonderful experience at a dentist office.

Everyone here is very friendly and upbeat. My dental hygienist was very thorough and informative. She was also very personable which is always nice when your mouth is agape! Thank you East Erie dental for a great experience.

Dr. Azim is amazing, didnt even feel the Novocain shot. Thorough and explains what is going on, I believe she truly wants the best outcome for her patients, not just the fastest or easiest. The support staff is attentive and pleasant. Altogether they make an anxious situation bearable

I have been visiting Dr.Azim for 8 YEARS now, she is always nice and professional. She can detect any problems at the early stage and get it fixed perfectly (I have a lot of teeth problems T-T) She is the best, book her early because she is such a popular doctor in Chicago!

Just started going to Erie and Ive had an amazing experience! The front desk is very friendly and the dental staff walked me through everything. The chairs are super comfortable (Theyre massage chairs!) And the dental procedure was done very gently. Probably the most comfortable dentist visit ive ever had seriously. Love them :)

A colleague recommended East Erie Dental to me, and Ive been very happy with my experiences there. My first assessment was incredibly detailed, and I learned the exact state of my mouth, tooth by tooth---this is pretty awesome because before I would blindly accept whatever a dentist told me without really knowing my options. I was then able to judge which cavities I wanted to fill sooner than later, and I have an idea of what the next 5 years of my teeth will be like. They are incredibly professional and efficient, and visits have been effortless (aside from holding my mouth open for lengths of time!). For example, they have a woman who takes care of billing, and you sit down with her and discuss payment options based on your insurance plan. Ive seen 2 dentists there, and both where intelligent, professional, and warm people. The offices and decor are professional and modern, and you get texts reminding you about appointments. In short, yes, you should try this place out because youll likely keep coming back.

I should have listened to the other bad reviews. They couldn’t figure out how to put the stand in my mouth to take pictures and had me bite down on it, even though it was placed wrong and was hurting like crazy. Also numbed my gums to check them and they started to bleed. Had a sore in my mouth for a couple weeks after. Nope. I have been going to the dentist my whole life and have done these things multiple times without any pain. Also the prices are crazy.

I have been going to east erie for the past few months and every experience I have there with the staff and Dr. Cheng has been excellent. Typically I dont like going to the dentist but they really make my experience so stress free and calm, Im starting to like going. Everyone is very informative when it comes to scheduling, billing and procedures and I really appreciate it.

I needed to find a Dentist at short notice. It wasnt quite so easy! After searching online and making multiple calls (not able to get appointments for several days), I spoke with East Erie Dental and they fitted me in next day. Staff are very professional and service is very good. Everyone cordial and very responsive, explaining each process and costs. Dentist also spent time reviewing my file afterwards, recommending additional work, and all done in a very practical and phased way so that it didnt involve breaking the bank! Would have no hesitation recommending them.

This was my first time at this place for a regular teeth cleaning. Honestly, I felt like this was a business and they wanted my money for further items. The teeth cleaning was kind of hap hazard and a little painful which I never experience during teeth cleaning. I just felt a weird vibe after that they wanted more $$$ for extra items that arent needed right now....

I went to the dentist because I have not been in years!!! The staff was awesome and professional. They were all very nice and welcoming and listened/responded to every detail. They have a very nice office and pleasant atmosphere. I recommend this place to everyone :)

Today I was informed from the staff-member that the dental practise will not hold me responsible for the 80% amount that insurance refused to bear and write it off on their books.As of the moment, we are resolving an issue related to mouth guards and me getting billed for something that should have been covered by my insurance according to East Erie (if this is an honest mistake) OR East Erie has sold me something that my insurance does not cover without doing proper due diligence. Jury is out as to which one of the two is the truth. You decide. Here is the story - I was offered a mouth guard by Dr Azim herself without me asking for it, and I was told by their staff that they have called my insurance and that my insurance covers 80% of it. At the time, I naively believed them at their face value - big mistake!! I happily paid $140 out of pocket and reluctantly accepted the mouth guard thinking hey my doctor advises for it, and insurance covers it 80%, why not.Surprise surprise - a couple of weeks later, I receive a bill for approximately $700 for the mouth guard as outstanding from East Erie dental - no phone call, no explanation, nada. They tell me that insurance has refused the claim. This experience has totally soured my taste with East Erie Dental, and if you are reading it, my suggestion would be to not sign up for extra services with them on any procedures without getting things in writing from them - they will leave you fighting for insurance bills and wash their hands off the whole thing in case insurance denies your claim as it is happening to me right now. They may also misguide you intentionally or due to lack of proper diligence that your insurance covers the procedure in order to make the sale happen. So far, no one from East Erie dental has called me saying our fault, we got this, do not worry about this bill. The staff member at East Erie (lady called Agnes) has genuinely tried to resolve this for me after ME spending 4-5 hours on the phone with both insurance and the dental institute but her efforts so far have primarily been due to my verbal pressure and not of her own undertaking.As of this moment, I am fighting this claim out with East Erie Dental as well as my insurance, who allegedly, according to East Erie, agreed to 80% reimbursement but did not follow through. When I called my insurance they said they only cover the mouth guard if there has been a specific surgery in the preceding six months. How could East Erie not know about this? Did they care to find out? Were they told this by the insurance and they ignored the advice? Did they know and intentionally misguide me to make a quick buck? These are some of the questions I have now. I will update the review based on the outcome but regardless my trust in this establishment has taken a nosedive and I advise everyone going to this facility to not trust what they tell you is covered by your insurance. Call for yourself, do not sign up for any procedure with them unless your insurance specifically gives you in writing that it is covered with an exact amount.

I love this place. Dr Cheng is the only dentist I’ll go to. He’s knowledgeable, honest, and talks to me like he’s a friend.

I used the weekend Internet message system and received a prompt reply early Monday morning. Even though I was not an existing patient, I was seen the same morning for my toothache. Dr. Daitch thoroughly explained my x-ray findings and ordered appropriate treatment and referral to a dental surgeon who accepts my insurance.

Very thorough staff and clean office. Had been about 5 years since my last dental checkup and was dreading it. Although there was pain during the cleaning, it had been a long time so was to be expected. The dentist came in and was very informative and we developed a plan to restore my gums and bond over exposed roots, get a deep cleaning, two fillings and fitted for a mouthguard for sleeping/working out. Hoping to keep this dentist and my teeth and gums heathly from here on out 😁👍

I am new to Chicago so I did what all new people do when they need something I yelped for a Dentist and after reading all the reviews I decided on East Erie Dental, It was a great find - So friendly and they have state of the Art equipment to show you just what they are talking about. I like that no fast talk and straight to the point of the problems with Picture to prove it. I would refer them to anyone.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Everyone in the office is so nice and accommodating! I was very nervous about visiting the dentist due to a past dentist being very rough and hurting my mouth, but this office makes you very comfortable. Now I look forward to my visits!

My Mom has been in for an emergency visit today. Dr Djukic took a great care of her - and this is considering my Moms English is very broken down and she can barely express herself. They say, smile goes a long way. Very true. Its an international language of good will. And thank you, Dr Azim - our head DDS, for employing the best team ever.

I came to this dentist because a friend highly recommended this office and my husband was in so much pain I needed a dentist asap! I called and Anna got him in immediately she was great at scheduling him and working with his crazy schedule! He went in for his appointment and Dr. Azim explained the problem he was clenching and grinding his teeth so bad that his muscles were in knots and she took pictures of the wear on the teeth and showed him what he was doing and recommended a night guard. They did all the necessary steps to make him a night guard. He went in for the second appointment and gave him the night guard that day!! He started wearing it that night and from then on he still wears it and No More Pain!! His muscles relaxed and hes not holding his face in the morning anymore!! After that he goes in every 6 months for cleanings and check-ups! Dr. Azim and her Staff were amazing and accommodating to my husbands needs!! We both will be going back soon!!

Considering my anxiety and anxiousness about dentist offices, I had a great experience. I was treated well and everything was explained to me. I can actually say I will be going back. So hopefully my great experience continues.

Refused to honor initial quote per insurance pre-authorization and raised the price. Jocylyn the manager is very rude and interruptive to customers. After going to this dentistry for 5 years, they will loose my business and my referrals due to horrible customers service. As far as the work, its hit or miss. It took me a while to get a good dentist there as there is a huge turnover in that place, dentists constantly coming and going.I will not go there again and strongly recommend you dont either

I was looking for a primary dentist in Chicago for so long! I recently chose Dr. Azims office East Erie Dental to refill several of my back teeth black fillings(filled long time ago) with white before my wedding. Dr. Azim and her team were incredible!She was very patient and paid a lot of attention to all the details. She kept confirming with me that I am feeling fine and comfortable in the whole process. She even showed me all the details in my teeth with a small mirror explaining how and why she is doing what she does. I love it when doctors keep you well informed of your status and their treatments.Also although they were completely booked before my wedding date, but they were very concerned to get my teeth done before the date so they were calling me every time somebody cancelled his/her appointment. Very caring and respectful!I highly recommend East Erie Dental to anyone thinking about getting any dental work done. A big shout out to Dr. Azim and all the assistants for all their great work!

For someone who is afraid of all dentists, I have not had a bad experience here from routine teeth cleaning to having a filling replaced. They talk me through everything and answer all my questions to put me at ease.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL YOUR COST!!!Trying to make money out of you as much as possible.1) lie about how many cavities you have. Told me I have 5 cavities. I got 2 filled with them. My new dentist told me the stain does not count as cavities, and they drilled huge holes in my tooth to put the filling on. I only have 1 cavity at the beginning.2) Ridiculous over priced. I paid over $500 for 2 un-exist cavities, and I have FULL insurance on, and they are in net-work too. I only paid $23 for one real cavity with my new dentist. The insurance company have to charge me extra, because their price is way over the reasonable price range.3) Charge you whatever you can think about. Cancellation fee, release your information to the new dentist($50). Guess what, my new dentist took new X-ray for me for FREE!4) Super unorganized, dont even remember how many cavities they lied to me. Sometimes saying I have 2 left, sometimes saying I have 3 left. And made appointment with the WRONG doctor.5) The doctor is not every nice. I feel violated when she was doing the fillings. Super rude, and I cannt even find the doctors name online! ZocDoc said I had an appointment with the dentist which wasnt that one I had!Seriously, avoid this place at all cost unless you want to be offended and giving your money away.

I have been to two separate visits. The first was very rushed after they took me 30 min late, then asked me to come back an hour later for the cleaning because they over booked the time. My hygienist was very nice though.My second visit solidified my decision to seek another dentist. Dr. Azimzadeh has not once washed her hands between patient encounters. Her hair continuously falls into my face, with several large particles of gunk, from who knows where. Im not impressed.

Very friendly and professional doctors and staff. Informed me of their delays so that i didnt have to sit and wait in their office, the checkups are top notch as well as their cleaning and dental work. Would definitely recommend for someone who lives and works in Downtown Chicago.
