Had a hard drive with over 1 TB of very important files that decided not to work anymore. Brought it in to Noel, he had everything transferred over in less than 24 hours. Smart, efficient, fair prices.... this is the place to go for data recovery.

TekGuyz is the way this kind of small business should be: effective, reasonable in cost and -- importantly in this increasingly impersonal world -- personal. As I would discover in my contact with the operator, Tony, its nice to deal with a nice guy. I didnt have much hope for my clunky and slow 8-year-old HP desktop when I presented it to him after it refused to boot up. It proved to be a tough case but Tony persisted and the problem was solved. In addition, he tuned up the machine, cleared out hundreds of viruses and backed up everything onto a complimentary stick. All for a price I only dreamed of when I first stepped into the shop. And, as he predicted when I was leaving the shop, my machine is much, much faster. Bravo, Tony.

They are AWFUL!!! Where do I start? #1 - They dont ever answer the phone or return your phone call after you leave messages. #2 Dont ever just go by there during their so-called business hours of 10 am -8:00 pm because they close early, dont open, were never open and just are TOTALLY UNRELIABLE. I live in the neighborhood and I dont know how many times I have been by there and they are closed when they should be open.My co-worker told me they fixed her laptop for her and gave her a warranty for the work. However, the laptop still doesnt work, so she brought it back to them. Now, she is calling over and over again trying to get them to fix it and/or return her laptop to her. She is totally pissed because she keeps calling to see if they are even TRYING to fix it.....but AGAIN, NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE.If I were you, I WOULD STAY AWAY.....FAR AWAY. I am EXTREMELY SORRY I told her about them. I will NEVER, EVER recommend them to anyone again.

I brought my Mac in because it wouldnt power up. He immediately diagnosed it as the PSU was bad. I was very skeptical because it was just replaced. I brought it back with me and I opened it up and marked the PSU. I then brought it back to get it repaired and he told me he swapped the PSU and told me it was fixed. I got the mac back and it still didnt work. I immediately checked for the PSU and it was the old one. Brought it back and he tried telling me the PSU went out again. Do not deal with this guy...

Extremely professional and curious. I lost a very important file and stopped in to see if they could recover it. Im not sure what the gentlemens name was (maybe Antonio) but he tried for over 45 minutes with multiple programs to recover it. He even brought me around back to show me the files that he could see and took the time to walk me through how to remove a hard drive on my own time. At the end he graciously donated the smaller sized screwdrivers needed to remove the back panel of a MacBook. I was very impressed by the service here and just how friendly this guy was. Ill be back for any computer related issues in the future!

This place, and Tony especially, has been nothing but fantastic to me. I live in the neighborhood and every time I have a computer issue, hes right on top of it. Computers are vexing machines and Im completely overwhelmed by them. Tony tackles it all and has always fixed my problem, or sold me equipment at a great deal. Hes a guy with integrity. Im glad I can count on him.

Please do not use this company. Tony Colon lost 2 weeks of my salons information simply because he didnt think to back up my hard drive when reinstalling my salon software. The information lost includes all appointments made during that two week period. He may be cheaper but he is costing me so much more money in the long term because of his sloppy and unprofessional work. I should have known better after he canceled or rescheduled for various reasons 6 times, but he seemed like a nice guy. Now I have angry clients and employees and I have to work through the night to try and redo some of this unrecoverable data. Untrustworthy work and I am suffering from anything he touched.

Ready for a little story? As I was backing up my laptop (Cuz I knew it would crash any day now) IT CRASHED! Error message Imminent Hard Drive Failure. Holy what who?!?!? Wedding pics, daughters 1st birthday, work files. Gone. I scurry over to the Geek Squad and stand in line for 10 min. Then sit for 10 more. No help, not even a well be right with you. Im out. Run over to Micro Center. Dude tells me my files are most likely gone, caput. The hard drive is reading failure. You burned it out, he exclaims! And that it would cost me $475 to go down this repair rabbit hole. $475?! Cmon man! My daughter has ALL my money. So I remember this little store front, on the corner of Kimball and Fullerton, I drive past every day on the way home. I doubt they can help me but Ill give it a shot. Tony, the owner plugs in my hard drive and the look on his face is not a good one. He tells me that it doesnt look good but to leave it with him and hell do his best. I didnt expect much after that. MAYBE put in a new hard drive and start over. Less than 48 hours later he calls me to say my laptop is ready to pick up. Yup. Thanks for trying, I thought. Then to my surprise, he was able to retrieve ALL my files. The cake cutting! CHECK! Daughter smiling at her birthday! CHECK! Work files showing that client C12 still owes me $98! CHECK! WOW! To top it off, Tony cleaned out my dusty laptop to stop it from overheating, added new software, and it is moving at the speed of light. Cost? WAAAAAAY less than Micro Center quoted. #ClientForLife #NowIDontHaveToTellMyWifeIAlmostLostOurWeddingPicsAndDaughtersFirstBday#TodayIsAGoodDay

Took my laptop in for a screen repair. Quoted me a fantastic price and fixed it within the week. Called me back when it was ready to be picked up! Good service, laptop works great and they even added anti virus on my laptop. Paid less then $200, when Best Buy quoted me $500+ jus to have it looked at . Tech guyz litterally saved me!

UPDATE: DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE FRAUDS AND POS. THEY USE THE SQUARE CASH APP. THEY DID NOT FIX MY LAPTOP AND PROCESSED A REFUND, GAVE ME A REFUND SLIP AND NEVER PAID THE REFUND. WHEN I DISPUTED IT THRU MY BANK, CHASE STATED THESE POS SUBMITTED THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT SAYING THEY FIXED MY COMPUTER WHEN THEY DIDNT AND NEVER SHOWED SQUARE CASH (THE APP THEY USED) THE REFUND RECEIPTS. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE REVIEW BELOW, HE STATED HE HAPPILY REFUNDED MY MONEY. HE DID NOT!!DO NOT USE THEM!!! THEY ARE FRAUDS!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!In response to the owner, Tony: I am the co-worker of Lynn Payton. I cant control Lynn, but I was not going to say anything because I actually had sympathy for you and know that sometimes small businesses go thru changes. So, I just let it ride after I got my money back and my laptop fixed by someone else. No harm, no foul, right? However, you are NOT telling the truth at all. I did not break my laptop again. I brought it back because 3 weeks after you so-called fixed it, these notifications kept popping up saying I had a non-activated (FRAUDULENT?) copy of Windows 7 and MS Office. Then the screen went totally black after that. And you did nothing. There was no physical damage. I called you immediately after the notifications before the screen went black and you never responded. And, I kept calling. Then I came by like 4 times during your POSTED business hours and the store was closed. When I finally did get it to you, you kept it for TWO weeks and did nothing until finally I just showed up and took it back. Even then, you were saying give you a few more days and YOU DID NOT GIVE ME A FREE HARD DRIVE. The smelly guy in the office put me on the phone with you where you said the hard drive cost $60 but I could not take it because I asked for my money back and I WATCHED HIM REMOVE it right then and there at the counter which was TOTALLY fine because I was SO DONE. But, you wanna know the kicker? The one you put in there was NOT MINE. And, you want to know how I know? Because after I took it to UBREAK-IFIX, they told me and FIXED my laptop!! Lastly, you did NOT happily return my money. You gave me RECEIPTS saying you PROCESSED my refund. I ended up having to dispute it thru my bank because not only did you NOT fix my laptop, you NEVER processed the refund either. So, PLEASE MISS ME WITH ALL OF THIS. Again, consumers and party people of the house, PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK. As a matter of fact, do NOT proceed at all.

Dunno how these guys got such a good review on yelp. was the reason i made the visit. will surely be my last. the people here are completely incompetent. and the kids they have up front managing the shop dont seem to know they even work there. every time i went it it was like a deer in the headlights. computers? what?brought my computer in because it had a virus on it and the screen wasnt working. they said they would be able to fix it in about 3 days. a week later and no phone call i go in. they had it for over a week before they figured out the processor for the screen wasnt working.how long should it have taken to figure that piece of information out? however long it takes to hook the computer up to another monitor with an HDMI cable. so 30 seconds.they tell me they should be able to fix it by the end of the daythe day comes and goes. no phone call.i go in again they say theyll be able to fix it but they need to order the part. TWO WEEKS go by. no return phone call. (notice a trend?) i go in. the job still is not finished. they claimed the part came that afternoon. where in the hell are they ordering from that it takes two weeks to get there. and when i made a complaint they were all but happy to return the computer, as if it were my own fault that the job had not been completed. i doubt they even had the part.completely incompetent.dont go here

I found Tek Guyz on Yelp and was so happy to hear that they offered repair services on Apple products.I brought my 2014 13 inch w/ Retina Macbook Pro to Tek Guyz since my keyboard/trackpad/motherboard needed repairing (due to a water spill). It took about 3 weeks for it to get fixed (1.5 weeks of that was waiting for the parts), and the team was responsive, attentive, and reassured me that it would get fixed.It did and now I have my fully functioning MBP.THANK YOU TEK GUYZ. I highly recommend.

My computer had 1 issue and he messed it up completely and left it unusable. I had to get a new computer for which he said he would help pay. 2 days later he went back on his word, did not pay me for it and stopped answering my calls entirely. He was VERY unprofessional, lied and though an “oops I’m sorry” would cut it. NEVER TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE.
