I had an amazing customer service experience at Mildblend with Tulip. The shop was busy and she was going 200% to provide every single person with a high-end-boutique denim shopping experience. Tulip learned and used my first name, had the knowledge to find me the perfect pair of jeans, and then found a shirt that fit me perfectly. It was amazing and she deserves major recognition. This is by far the best denim shop in Chicago.

You can try on as many as you like which is very important when buying jeans of this quality and price range.Customer service was super helpful and very friendly. I can only speak of the online experience I had but I wasnt too impressed. I at first sent an email asking if they do international orders, to which I got no reply. After some research on their website I figured they did, so ordered a jacket that is out of stock everywhere but their store, and got an email saying there was a tear on it so they couldnt sell it to me. After a couple of emails back and forth, they told me they were going to send it back to 3Sixteen to get it repaired, and would let me know if that was possible.A week later, no reply. I ring them up on the Friday, and the girl says the guy Luke is not in the store right now, and will get in touch on Monday. Having waited all day on Monday, still nothing, so I call them and they tell me that the jacket is discoloured and 3Sixteen would probably give them a refund. To be fair to the guy he said he would give me a discount on a similar jacket, which is why I have given 2 stars.I call up 3Sixteen, and they say they have neither received the jacket or any correspondence about it. It seems to me the shop is very disorganised, and/or that they were lying about the jacket although I have no idea why they would do that. I got a weird feeling that they just didnt want to deal with me or sell the jacket to me due to their lack of communication and responsiveness. Their online experience leaves much to be desired, and they should really focus on customer service. Its not a good look when the customer is chasing you up about orders and such.

I never ever write reviews but this place rules. Its premium so expect prices to be high but for what they do, they are the best in Chicago. The employees are so nice and cool and knowledgable. Im always super happy to patronize Mildblend even if I leave having spent more $$$ than I intended :)

Very cool place in Wicker Park to shop. They offer a lot of premium denim along with boots and various clothing for men and women. Looked like you could also do some custom stitch work or alterations.

This is a thoughtfully-curated clothing store.The staff was extremely helpful in explaining the differences between (1) washed denim vs. un-washed denim and (2) selvage denim vs non-selvage denim.Importantly, the staff took the time, over 3 visits, to get me properly fitted into a pair of Pure Blue Japan XX-019-WID 14oz. Deep Indigo Deep Rise Relaxed jeans.In short . . . they hooked me up! I would recommend this place without reservation to family and friends.Edit (12-30-19): I recently returned here to purchase a pair of Pure Blue Japan XX-013 18oz. Indigo Black jeans.The overall experience was easy and relaxed: the staff are top-notch and they will go above and beyond to guide you. I was expertly fitted into the exact item I wanted. As such, I am again a very satisfied customer.

Great online store with a huge selection of heritage products. I wish I lived close enough to go to there in person. Customer service was very responsive and helpful when I needed assistance with an order. Luke took care of my need and I couldnt be any happier with my purchase. Good selection of clothing. Attendant would not leave me alone though. Kept banging on the door of my try on room every 5 or 6 minutes. No one was waiting for a room so she was either suspicious (no reason to be) or bored. Either way, it was too much.When I purchased, I had my own bag and she refused to put my purchase in my bag for me. I had to bag my own items? Not a big deal if it werent for the attitude.

I recently purchased a pair of designer jeans on sale and some awesome boots I was intending to get on Amazon. The employees were super helpful and understanding with the boot sizing/pricing. They even took the time to reassure me a month later when I was worried about the boot sizing. They sell a lot of made in USA products and I will continue to shop there in the future.

Great selection of fantastic quality denim and best service Ive ever experienced in a clothing store. They take the time to help you find the best brand, style, and fit in your budget. Its refreshing to interact with sales people who are 100% knowledgeable about their products. They also do repairs and alterations on site and the quality and service is, again, impeccable. Knowledgeable staff and great products. Obviously japanese denim comes at a cost, but if you know that going in there shouldnt be any sticker shock. When I can actually afford to buy I will be buying here. In house tailoring means not having to cuff your new denim.

Chicago’s best selection of denim, hands-down! Luke and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but not pushy, and I always feel good in their well-stocked shop. Price points vary, so if you’re looking for something a little fancy, or something more affordable, you’re sure to find the perfect garment here. Bonus tip: they can hem your new jeans on-site, saving you a trip to the tailor. I buy my denim here, and only here: this place is a tremendous asset to Chicago’s independent fashion community.

Great Wicker Park boutique which truly shines in their selection of denim and other clothing for men, perfect for the urban environment and weather. I wasnt shopping for womens clothing the day I stopped in, but it seemed that mens clothing was definitely more prominent, so nothing for women really jumped out at me. I did notice that they carry a very nice line of natural skincare I havent seen anywhere else, and was told that there are occasional demos in-store. Plenty of neat things in stock make it fun to browse.

Really great for those of us that have trouble finding jeans for tall/skinny people. A bit pricey but worth it.

Really good selections of denim goods and high quality gear. Staff is friendly and knows a lot about their products. Minus 2 stars for the unorganized and somewhat inaccurate delivery of their denim service. Went here a couple times for repair, and one time it was quick & diligent. The other time it was delayed, and they never called about the delay until I came in to the shop and demanded they do my repair on the spot. Still I had to wait 30 minutes. Nice work on the repairs, regardless.

I gave it a 5 stars but I didnt buy anything. Lots of cool stuff but $$$$$ prices. Many jeans $300+. Lots of items $250+. Be prepared to spend big!

Tulip passes judgement on what she thinks customers can afford. Shes cruel and shouldnt be running a business with hate in her heart! Her thing is to harass kids, and lock them in the store to try to force them to give her more money than what the item actually is.Watch out for her!!!

For denim and the owner I give this place 5 enormous stars. For some of the snooty, non customer service minded staff, if give it a 1 star.Ive been in multiple times with friends that I introduced the store to, and more often than not a snyde remark is made or the whole process is too sales minded and seems like the employee only cares about commission.For example, when my brother moved to town itll him in. He recently had become a raw denim fan and I turned him on to Naked and Famous. He went in looking at the HUGE selection of their jeans and an employee told him it was a good starter jean.If you know what you are looking for our need excellent tailoring, go here. If you need advice, its hit or miss.

Mildblend is an awesome shop for not just raw denim, but also for other clothing (including womens). Ive bought several pairs of raw denim here in addition to having repairs done on my Samurais. The complimentary hemming with a denim purchase is nice as well (people often forget to factor in the cost of chainstitch hemming when buying from sites like Denimio or off grailed, eBay). The owner Luke is very helpful and Ive found other staff to be friendly and knowledgeable on denim. Highly recommend.

There arent many models that fit the waist because of the relatively thick legs, and the store clerk doesnt have a disgusting face (I think it was really disgusting ..) He has been searching for various things all the time, less than 20 I got them put on and finally bought a pair of jeans. If purchased, hemming will be free.I have been living in the US for about a year, but this is the first shop Ive been impressed by customer service.
