Mr. Sanchez is the man! He was happy to chat about different things, takes his time to make sure your cut looks fresh and clean, and the inside of his shop is really unique. Its got a big TV for you to watch while getting your cut, a large fish tank, a computer for patrons to use, and some interesting decor, like the pictures of people with various haircuts across the top of the walls. It was a pleasant experience for $20 and Id recommend him.

Great COVID protocols! Plastic up all around and chairs are covered and cleaned after every haircut. Staff strictly wears masks and will kindly ask you for yours.Great haircut, great conversation, big tv with something educational from Netflix, and great price! The barbers can fade and shave and do it all. Paid street parking just outside on Irving Park Road and free street parking around the corner. Two blocks from Sheridan Red line and close to Irving, Broadway, and Sheridan bus stops! Ask about the free massage chair!

Excellent place for a haircut. The owner does a phenomenal job and is very particular. Love supporting a small business especially given the economic decline as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Cash only, so be prepared. $20 for haircut and $20 for shave. Highly recommend if youre in town or just moved into the area.

And the service is reliable, whether it is Sanchez, his wife, or another barber, I consistently get a good a quality cut.The ambiance is the icing on the cake. Always something good on the big screen. The computer chairs are comfortable. The multiple fish tanks make me feel at home. There is no barbershop in Chicago quite like Sanchez.

I dont know if it was sanchez or the other guy that did the haircut but i had missed spots of hair on the forehead, that I couldnt see since he didnt clean good the leftover hair. Definitely not worth 20 $. On the plus side there is a big tv with Netflix on.

I was trying to find a reliable place to get a haircut that was worth the price and I have to say Sanchez Barber shop is the best. I lived down the street for a year and being able to get off work and stop in to get a haircut was the best thing. He is cash only is the thing but $20 for a haircut is a damn good price in Chicago. I recently moved to wicker park but I will always make the trip back just to support him.

It’s true what they say, you don’t know what you got until it’s gone. Mr Sanchez was my trusty barber for 2 years. After moving across the country a year ago, I find myself back in Chicago in need of a haircut. I would never consider going anywhere but here despite the hour and a half of travel it will cost me. Very reasonable prices and a great haircut.

The Barber Mr. Sanchez, is very patient and is very precise. Gives a quality haircut at a reasonable price. It is an old school barbershop. I love how kitschy it is, and that it is family owned and run.

One of the best hair cuts I have gotten in a long time. Super affordable, and Mr. Sanchez is a great guy. He even let me leave and go get cash out after the haircut to pay him. The quality of the haircut was exceptional. He completely cleaned up all of my facial hair, and even nose hair!

This place is great. Gotten a few cuts from Sanchez now and cant see myself going anywhere else. He is very skilled at what he does, price is perfect, and the atmosphere is just what youd expect at a local barber. Highly recommended.

Seriously the BEST cut in Chicago - Hands down. Hes old school. He prides himself on his styling abilities. Hes one of the most grateful, positive people youll ever meet. If you havent tried him, do it. Hes more than reasonable on his prices. I paid $15 for a classic side part, not including tip. Ive tried Floyds, but theyre overpriced and overhyped, in my opinion. Really, the only downside, if I had to complain at all, is that he only accepts cash, no debit/credit. But this really goes along with the whole old school mentality. Its all a part of the experience. For fans of the US version of The Office, youll leave there satisfied and smiling.

This guy is the best. he is my best friend. he opened up shop when i needed it last minute. he shows boxing on his TV. hes an ex-body builder from Mexico. nice guy and very conversational. hes been cutting hair forever. actually knows different hair styles. impressive for a dude his age. just saying. anyway, Sanchez is the best!

Sanchez Barber Shop is great but only when Sanchez cuts your hair. Last time I went my hair was cut by the other gentleman and I was less than impressed. Incredibly uneven fade, my head looks square, and the top of my head is shorter than the sides. Ive been to a lot of places in the Chicagoland area and this has probably been my worst cut so far. Feel free to go, just make sure it is Sanchez cutting hair that day.

Mr. Sánchez is a nice guy but he f**** up my hair like no one before. My hair is not blended, the fade isnt a fade he just used the machine #1 and I could tell I was bleeding when he was shaving the back of my ears. 🙈

Exactly what I want out of a neighborhood barber shop; nice middle aged guy who knows how to cut hair and doesnt charge much ($15 as of 10/2013). Obviously knows what hes doing, is super friendly, and as a plus has a big screen TV playing sports in the corner.

I ventured the icy and slippery streets to get there, and I would do it again. I loved my haircut and as anyone would understand its ones look when it comes down to it. So, highly recommend this establishment. Lets support our local businesses.In my encounter with this business, I was very satisfied. I made sure to call to find out if they were open, and with a very good luck they answered. Well with the weather that day I made the most resolute walk to arrive, and I would do it again.
