Highly recommend stopping in at Blues Barber Shop on 53rd Street anytime for a haircut. Aaron helped me out today and he did an excellent job. Space was comfortable, wait was short and just an all-around great experience.

It was very clean with a old school feel. All the barber are not only professional but very skillful in cutting hair. I recommended my brother n law go, he was very pleased and satisfied because my barber waited for him to show up before closing.

Such a vibe. Although its located in the trendier side of Hyde Park, this barbershop still has the classic vibes that we all recognize and love. Good conversation, excellent music, and the barbers really know their stuff.

Ive been going to Elliott for over a year and he keeps my haircut and shaves looking very good. Those who need a good barber should stop by or make an appointment to see him. Im happy that he doesnt have any issues with cutting my Caucasian hair, and does it right! He is professional and takes his time on getting me looking handsome every time. I get my hair cut here by Elliott, and this man is good! My haircuts and shaves are always on point and hes professional. He is on time and doesnt keep me waiting all day like some barbers do. Hes so worth whatever he charges and I dont mind one bit because its a good quality haircut. Those who complain are used to hood barbers that still charge $10-$15 for a cut, that looks like it. He takes pride in his work and is the best at what he does.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and the barbers were very friendly and polite. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place even for the children.

Worst haircut I ever got in my 21 years of living. One of my sideburns is gone and the other one is faded in. I asked for a fade and for everything to be cleaned up on my neck. I didnt get a fade instead I got one of my braids cut into and an uneven cut on both sides. Youd be better off almost getting no haircut at all.

Elliott is the best barber a person can find. He keeps all the men and boys in my family looking good. He specializes in fades, bald heads, linings, razor cuts, multicultural hair, and arch eyebrows too. He also does cuts for the ladies as well. What cant he do? This is the only place my guys goes to because he gets it right every time. Appointments are encouraged and appreciated and walk-ins are also welcomed.

I tried not to give a bad review about African Americans. I think the prices are too high and they over charge for haircuts here BECAUSE THE Service IS NOT THAT GOOD Here At All. Fades, Afros, Baldheads, Designs. Whatever you want, Elliott can get it done. Ive been going to him for years.
