I have brought them my car to check rear suspension since other shop couldnt do alignment. In the other shop they told me repair is going to be very expensive.On the Petes shop they told me everything is ok with suspension and they brought the car to their partners (Firestone) to do alignment.Alignment is done and no need to any other action. I wish all the businesses are honest like this shop. My recommendation!

Had to do a brake job on my car and called Pete’s Automotive. The owner picked up and told me he could service me the next following work day. I tried to pay extra to get it earlier but he does t do that type of business which I’m very proud of and honor. I dropped off my car and got a call later in the day about my car and when it’ll be done. Highly recommend them. And the price was perfect.

This is truly a hidden gem. The service is great and so are the owners and mechanics. My rear breaks had gone bad and since I did not have tools in my garage yet, I was unable to change them that day. I had already purchased the parts but since I was no longer doing it myself, I needed a shop that would install customer provided parts. I called several places that morning. Some refused to service the car since I was not buying their parts, and others tried to charge me an arm and a leg just for the labor. I came across Petes and decided to try my luck. They informed me that they would definitely be able to install my parts and their prices were extremely reasonable compared to other shops. After getting my estimate, I took my car down there only to find a packed garage. I went in and spoke with the owners and they were very helpful, understanding and told me they would get me in as soon as possible. They made the time and the room for my car and serviced it well. After leaving, I was at home only to get a call from Petes telling me that I needed to comeback. They informed me that they found my credit card in the front of their shop, and they would secure it until I got back. Not only was it quick and reliable service they went above and beyond. Petes automotive, youve gained a customer for life.

Had to get my car’s A/C recharged. Pete and his team did it quickly and for a fair price. Highly recommend and I’ll be sure to bring my cars for all repairs.

This place is fantastic. Went here recently to fix a loose panel. Tim gave me an honest quote and a 2 hour window (seemed to be a bit of a busy morning so this was understandable). I left and he called me back in less than 90 minutes to come pick up my car. Due to the simplicity of my fix, Tim scratched my quote and let me know the service was complimentary. Never been to a place like this. Fast, efficient, to the point. Much appreciated.

Where do I start with this wonderful business. I came in to fix my heat shield that a tow truck had mangled. The owner was extremely kind and courteous. He had one of his mechanics work on my car and even helped him with the process since it was mangled badly. He kept a close eye on my car, as he took care of his business. His attentive nature and kind demeanor has made me a returning customer. I will come to him for oil changes from now on and General for my car care. Also, when the mechanic finished working on my car, the owner told me that I did not have to pay him, and refused to take any money, although his mechanic had worked on my car and straightened out my heat shield and screwed it back in. I highly recommend Pete’s auto motive because they are what a business model should be. Thank you!

I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful this place is...from the owner to the mechanics! We were visiting Chicago from Michigan and broke down about a half block away! We called Pete and he said bring it in although they were closing in about an hour. He got us in and out as fast as he could and stayed late to make sure we were all good to go. To top it off, we had 6 kids with us and he didn’t even mind all the chaos in his tiny office. Pete said he would be hugging on our kids but had the sniffles. 🤧The quality and the price couldn’t be beat as well! Thank you Pete and staff! We would have been lost without you!!!

I felt compelled to write this testimonial for Petes Automotive because his shop provided me services above and beyond the call of duty. My VW GTI failed an emissions test which needed service to identify and remediate the issue. I read the reviews on this site and gave him a call. When we spoke, I told him Id leave the car in his lot and key in the dropbox. Pete spent almost 48 hours identifying all of the potential causes for the emissions failure and explained the least expensive path to resolution.Then I informed him of another issue - I was leaving the country for a 2 week, pre-planned vacation and had no way of picking up the car before I left. Pete fixed and garaged my car for the full 2 weeks while I was away. I picked it up on my way back from the airport (conveniently located near the Jefferson Park Blue Line stop). The very next day I took it the testing center and my car passed the test. Heres the kicked - to this day I have never met Pete, everything over the phone, yet he treated me like I was a long time, well-known customer. I cannot possibly speak high enough about his shop, their knowledge, and integrity of repair and support. I hope to one day meet this man, and shake his hand. You dont find this level of customer service anymore... I will never go anywhere else.
