Hassan (Hasko), the owner, is a great business and family man. Ive been coming here with my beat up 2005 BMW (that has required a ton of work) for a few years now and theyve worked miracles for my car. Their quality of work has been nothing less than 5 stars and Ive never doubted their ability in completing a job efficiently and honestly. Cantic Auto Repair is the only mechanic I recommend to my friends and family. Ive been to other mechanics (due to car breaking down nearby that mechanic) and theyve always tried to overcharge and/or attempt to charge for unneeded fixes. I sleep easily at night knowing that when my car inevitably breaks down again, I have a mechanic I can rely on to have my back.

Needed an oil change so called Cantic since its so close. Said I could come in and be done within 15-20 minutes. Ended up taking about an hour start to finish, which is fine (things happen!), but the price was worth it.

This place was fantastic! Needed a starter, the owner came and got the car, git it in right away, took less than a day. They filled up all the fluids and replaced the badly needed windshield wipers. All the staff were super friendly & helpful. We are sold on this place from here on out! Thank you!

I have gone to Cantic Auto Repair for over a year now. Oscar is so knowledgeable about cars and only employs a staff that meets his expectation of standard. I brought my car in several times to him and will not have anyone else do work on my car. He is honest, and does not try to scam you for extra service or nickle and dime you. He is willing to take the time to figure out any concerns regarding my car and my car then runs better the day I got it!!

This guys really professional I like this place

My CRV was making scraping sounds at low speeds and while braking, and a loud whining sound in reverse. I figured the scraping sounds were brake pads and/or rotors (or maybe a wheel bearing), but was worried the whining sound could have been the transmission or differential. I had been avoiding taking the car anywhere after a few bad experiences at other mechanics and not really trusting anyone. I called and they said I could drop off the car later that day.I drove over and they asked to ride around the block with me so I could point out the noise, which was much more reassuring than just handing over the keys and leaving. When I put it in reverse and it made the whining sound, he immediately said that sound was the brakes. I pointed out the scraping sound and he thought that was also the brakes. Back at the shop, he walked around the car with me, I think looking at the wear on the rotors. He said he would get it up on the lift and give me an estimate soon.About an hour later, he called and said the rear brake pads needed to be replaced and that the front pads could be replaced now or I could wait a few thousand miles for those. I thought about it but then told him to just do the rear pads for now and that I would be back for the front pads in a few thousand miles, which I definitely will. He said that the rotors were okay and didnt need to be replaced or even turned.An hour after that, they called and said the car was ready and that I could pick it up. When I picked it up, I asked how badly the pads were worn and he went back into the shop and got the old pads, and explained what was making the scraping and whining noises.The price was great. It was the advertised labor rate and barely any markup over the online price for parts, if any. In addition, he confirmed he had loosened the transmission drain plug and tightened it again, which was something I had asked him to do since it was really stuck on there when I had tried and failed to remove it myself to drain and refill the fluid.As someone who would do basic work on my own car if I had a garage or driveway, Im extremely happy to have found an honest mechanic with fair prices. I will be bringing my car back in the future and would be comfortable telling anyone in the Chicagoland area to bring their car here. Highly recommended.

Owner and his entire team are professional, courteous, and their work is excellent. I’ve had an oil leak due to a mechanic not closing an oil cap after changing my oil at the dealership. Asko towed my car and fixed the problem in no time. This summer my AC got clogged and all the water was coming into my car. Askos team took care of the problem right away again. Today I’m getting my tires changed. I made an appointment and as soon as I came in my car was taken to be serviced. I’m so glad to have found such a great mechanic.
