Recognized the brothers who run this shop from their military service, and was happy to know I was supporting fellow active duty Guards and a veteran run business.Had them inspect a car I had just purchased (2007-Saab 9-5) they found an exhaust leak and within an hour had the resonator replaced and two sections of tailpipe they bent custom for less money than I could buy the parts would have cost me even with my military discount! They are fair and honest and I dont think you can go wrong with them. They have taken great initiative to train on hybrids and electric vehicles, and if you drive one they should be your go to guys.

Friendly mechanics, very knowledgeable and honest people to do business with. I stopped in here (for my first time) to get my brakes checked, and Miguel was honest enough to tell me they looked fine and just oiled down a little metal piece on each wheel that seemed to be making a noise every now and then when I would come to a complete stop. (I have no idea what that metal piece is called, Miguel showed/told me at the time, but I forgot! lol) It worked! I later brought my car in for an oil change and it was done in a jiffy ( no pun intended.) Saul took care of my oil change that day, he was very personable, and he told me about some great local spots to grab a bite to eat, while I waited for my oil change. I will definitely be back. Its risky searching for an honest business with reasonable prices for a vehicle, so Im glad I found Green Wheels. Definitely contact them if your vehicle needs anything.

I will spare many of the detail and just get my review up. I went for an oil change, and radiator flush months ago. They didnt fill my radiator back up, which lead to the radiator itself almost exploding on the freeway. When I went back minutes later I was told that they didnt top off the fluids, despite the fact it had no fluid in it, so by top off I think they meant to say, refill. Later on I found out they apparently dont top off any fluids, windshield washer, brake, power steering etc. So, dont count on that being in their service, however they will try their best to find things wrong/serviceable that do not pertain to the service you are paying for, which means it took two and half hours for an oil change and radiator flush. When I came home and wrote a negative review they offered to win me back by offering free brake pads, which I declined, I thought it a nice gesture but figured that was enough and maybe it was a mistake, also I would rather not have someone who forgot to refill a radiator touching my brakes. Then upon finding more things wrong with my car I reposted my review, at which point the owner wrote me on Saint Patricks Day, when they were closed (do the math on that, what are most people doing on that day) a condescending email where he questioned my intelligence and belittled me. I then of course took my review down again not wanting to deal with them any further, until today when I finally decided, that even if he emails me another belligerent tirade, someone needs to leave an honest review on them for any other current or potential customers. On a follow up note. Anyone reading this should know green wheels wanted to charge $250 for rear brake pads. Its not a bad deal, its only a hundred more than doing it myself. But, if you want to save money and go over to a great place. Go to Belmont Auto Enterprises 4118 W Belmont Ave. They just changed both rear brake pads for $180. Make sure you call and set up an appointment.

There are times you meet people in certain businesses that you know right off the bat youre going to like them. That is how it feels at Green Wheels. Im taking the chance and writing this from their lobby. First and most important they are not a big business, by the clock type of place. If they are slow, they close if they have business they stay open. I respect that, so make sure you call and make an actual appointment. I came for an oil change and to potentially get my brake pads fixed. They charged me $180 for both rear brake pads and rotators. I can assure you now, that is the cheapest you will find it outside of doing it yourself. They fix anything that needs to be fixed and they dont scour your car just looking for ways to up charge you. If you come with a coupon thats what you will get. They wont suddenly tell you that you need a dozen extra things. I imagine this environment is extremely helpful towards people who lack car knowledge and or most females, as you wont be told that wizards are waging a war in your muffler and itll cost $700 to send in dragons or else your car will explode. Im extremely happy to have found a place and as of now and until further notice trust their work and opinion.I would be remiss if I didnt say, they are using re-refined oil. The same stuff that nascar race cars use, its the oil that was used, its cleaned up, and can be used again. Its more efficient and it means we arent wasting. Cars are a messy business, and green wheels does everything it can to make it as clean a business as possible.

Ill relay my experience. My car has over 200,000 miles and about time for its 100,000 mile maintenance items. One of these items is changing the transmission fluid. When dropping off the vehicle the mechanic was giving me some push back with a smart aleck attitude claiming, Toyotas have a lifetime fill on their transmissions and we dont usually change the fluid. The vehicle had actually had the transmission fluid changed at 100,000 miles as recommended by the Toyota dealer and in the past Ive had to pay $3,200 to have a transmission rebuilt on a Mercedes that supposedly had a lifetime fill on the transmission fluid. I was cordial about it but thinking to myself Just do what the f#@k Im paying you to do.After getting the car back I noted that they charged me for 5 quarts of transmission fluid when the vehicle capacity is only 4 quarts....which was an extra $9. Im not the nit picky type and just let the extra $9 go without questioning it. The car is a hybrid and I also had them change the inverter coolant. A week after picking up my vehicle upon checking fluids I notice the inverter coolant is low. I take it back so they and top it off...and two weeks later I notice it is low again. I dont live in proximity to the shop so I just purchase a gallon of fluid for $17 and top it off myself...thinking it may have some air in the system and will eventually top off. After eventually adding the entire gallon to the inverter reservoir I begin to realize that something is not right and its likely losing coolant from somewhere. I make an appt and take it back and they tell me I have a hose that is leaking. Im thinking, Wow, what a coincidence. I take my car to you to change the coolant and NOW it has a hose that was leaking...and it only started leaking after you changed the fluid. So they charge me for the supposedly leaking hose, for another gallon of coolant and 1/2 hour labor for changing the supposedly leaking hose. Did they show me the supposedly leaking hose they replaced? Of course not, because there likely wasnt a leaking hose. But I likely had to pay for an additional $90 in parts and labor because the mechanic didnt button it up properly. Thats not including the extra quart of transmission fluid they charged me for.So the combination of being an ill informed smart aleck, charging me for an extra quart of transmission fluid and likely getting over on me on the supposedly leaking hose they didnt show me has resulted in this review.
