Slower than a snail customer experience. It literally took them 30 mins to attends you each customer how can they fill they flight with that kind of pace. Just horrible.

Great and outstanding customer service starting with Bilal and Amy they been a great and amazing to me and my family we use the air line cause we feel comfortable with them from the moment we step in to the counter we feel that we are welcomed thank you again definitely 5 stars .

I would give zero stars if I could. What a nightmare! Got booted off the flight due to my covid test not having a time on it (which isnt my fault nor something I can control. The state gave it to me that way and I dont know why) so now I am stranded in Chicago and spent money on a whole new ticket with super long layovers and extra stops! Tried to get a refund and the customer service line wont help me at all and every person I speak to on it arent from Abu Dhabi but other countries. Also the staff were heartless as I stood bawling my eyes out because Im traveling alone and am stranded, they pretended I wasnt there and took their time assisting me and escorting me to a new place I could get a covid test and even then didnt escort me to the right place. A taxi driver helped me and a hotel worker after they heard my story.

Horrible service on phone, by multiple employees i was lied to, bumped off my flight i had gotten 2 plus months ahead of time. I was told no as in zero flights available for 1 month to rebook. I also watched my 1st flight as i had several friends and family we were traveling also who in fact the plane did travel and did land on time, my kids and myself were bumped off, i was scheduled to wait 8 hours at the airport for another flight but within 4 hours of saying ok that flight cancelled as well, or so i was told it was, recieved an email to rebook again. I missed my major family event, as well as missing all attractions we had booked during our 1st ever family vacation where our family was all able to go together ! Im so heart broken as we habe still 3 weeks to wait until the flight they put us in as the next and 1st flight going which is a lie as i confirmed my suspension this week :( more than 15k dollars tied up with them! I have never in my life felt so uncomfortable with a company as i do with them. We recorded all calls and were shocked at the representation and responses recieved from them. ALWAYS BE UP FRONT AND TRUTHFUL WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS! Never again my 1st and last time to deal with them. Who bumps customers and then makrs them wait close to a month to revook them with out any sorry or let me help?

Business class check in was a very long process(it took about 30 min from arriving at check in counter to getting boarding pass); there was no other passenger on the queue for business. I usually travel economy and now know there is no difference in check in time between business and economy class with Etihad Airways

I can give 0 Stars if I could. I flew from from Chicago to Mumbai on Nov 24th with my family. We had allowance of 2 carry on luggages which included one standard carry on sized bag with 7kg weight + one personal item which included a small laptop bag.At the checkin counter, a person stopped us to check our carry on Bag, we put our bags (3 person, 3 of them) to their box and they didnt fit IN. it was about 3 to 4 mm bigger than their box. Being standard carry on plastic bags, we couldnt bend it or do anything to make them fit. Guy at the checkin counter understood the situation and allowed us to move forward (however he did not tag our bags and told us he can not as part of his job, if something dont fit, he wont tag it)We checked in our check in bags. Went through security checks and reached gate. We were about 2 hours early so, waited at the gate sitting area. When our group was called they selected everyone without tagged bags and called aside. They again made us put our bags in to the measurement box they had there. They chose about 8 to 9 people from the line. As expected it didnt fit exactly as they wanted, they told us to check in our carry on bags, we agreed. They asked for a CC saying they are going to charge $60 per bag. Which clearly was not fair because all of the bags we had were less than 7 kg each and all of them were standard carry on size bags. There were many other passengers who had connecting flight from other airline to Etihad (same flight) and they all were allowed same or even bigger sized bags, but we were turned down because we were boarding fresh. Turned out that these people from Etihad were ripping people off from long time because strangely, their luggage criteria is not aligning with US criteria, check other reviews online. All of us bought carry on sized bags from the store which clearly fit to all American airline rules and regulations and Im pretty sure All international airline rules as well, I flew 6+ times to India and back with the same carry on bags with family and it never bothered any other airline.We all argued and tried to explain the situation, the guy at the gate counter was very very Rude and threatened us to pay the money or he will off load our checked in baggage from the flight and cancel our tickets, his arguments were so intense it made us feel like we were hostage to the situation. After arguing for about 10-12 minutes, he called airport security on us and very rudely made us all pay $60 each for the 3 - 5mm size difference because of their own baggage policies they made out of thin air which clearly is not aligned with any other airline out there.They did not mention specific bag sizes on the ticket we purchased, nor while managing my booking on their site. Ive attached screenshot of their mention of the carry on bags which doesnt say anything specific that made us feel standard size should work just fine.It was very humiliating experience we had with Etihad. They do not respect their customers, rip them off on things and rules they make and change as they please and will for sure call police to make you feel like thief and fraud.This will be my last flight (return to US) with Etihad and will make sure no one from my family or social circle flies on Etihad.I did not take pictures. Totally forgot due to all these hassles and confusion we had to go through. But I attached other peoples picture to give idea of what happened.WORST COMPANY EVER !

Worst experiance ever! do not ever take this airline, the staff at the counters need to be dragged to court for treating the customers the way they do. Document and record everything they say....especially the baggage issues and seats assignment.

The check- in service was as smooth as it could get. I fly quite often with various airlines and I am so pleasantly surprised by the customer service Jamileh provided me with today. Jamileh was incredibly kind, positive, and assisted with all the questions I had. She is definitely an asset to the company and a great representation of Etihad. Thank you for making this a pleasant experience for me

Great routes and fares but I hate their customer service. My child was travelling internationally and they refused to provide guest passes. The gentleman guiding passengers in the line refused to give us a cabin baggage tag. With the traffic at OHare, you would think they would make the process easier but they did not. Avoid Etihad!

I traveled from Chicago to India. The person who is checking the size of cabin baggage didnt allowed me to carry my cabin baggage because the wheels are big when my bag is checked for the size. These guys are super strict about size of the cabin baggage. Either you have to pay the fee or three it away. I have never seen such a strict policy. I used same bags in international flights with other airlines without any issue.

Worst communication and service by this airlines. My parents are traveling back to India today, they came with 2 handbags that were okay when they came here, but while returning they were told by Mr. Rizvi that the bag was too big.. How does the measurement change here.It is such an incovienence to all the customers.. Airlines gimmick to charge more 💰.. My parents both are in their 70s and are. Heart patients with open heart surgeries done.They had to wait and carry their bags cos their belts were not working.. They have no value for customers health or safety.. Extremely disappointed with their service. People at the counter were rude too.. My parents had to wait forever for their wheelchairs..Shame on the airlines and their staff..

My friends were passenger on Etihad flight #EY151 on August 18 (last Sunday) and still 3 pieces of 4 luggage are missing. I’ve tried various phone numbers and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone who knows to help . This is now 5 days later and I can’t even track the luggage. Which email may I write? I can’t find an email even to write with info .numbers disconnected, voicemail filled. No one no one gets back to me. One Chicago female agent said her help was “personal” — not to assist my friend with lost luggage! Outrageous.#etihad

Yeah your handcarry has to fit into their magic box. If it doesnt they will charge you more than $300. My hand carry was way under 7kg and its flown with me on many other airlines no problem. This airline is a joke, never flying it again -- do Qatar aAirway or Emirates people.

Their check in bag size is smaller then other air line so they can charge you extra 300$ Be aware with other wise they will rip you off.Try to talk with supervisor he was rude say pay $300 or change bag avoid to travel this airline. They dont care about customers care about $ only.

I flew Etihad between Bangalore and Chicago via Abu Dhabi. Until Abu Dhabi, I had no issues. Right from the time I entered the second flight, the cabin crew was EXTREMELY RUDE. An elderly co passenger asked for help to lift her cabin bag to place in the overhead compartment to which the stewardess replied I cant help you Maam, if you travel with the bad youve got to lift the bag. Not a trace of respect for the customer, no respect for or intention to help a fellow human being. I was outraged at this response and needless to say, the old lady was stunned too. She then proceeded to lift the bag herself along with help from other passengers.It did not end here. Another stewardess provided me with a chicken roll instead of a vegetarian one. When I brought this to her attention, she responded saying so what do you want ? No apology, no trace of regret. I asked if I could have it replaced with the vegetarian roll. She stormed off and returned with another chicken roll. Finally, upon being sent back a second time, she provided me with the vegetarian roll.The cabin crew was extremely unhelpful. They took eons to respond to being called or to any query or and do not have any training in dealing with customers and seem to lack basic courtesy.Will be spreading the word and will definitely not be flying Etihad again.SincerelyAn extremely unhappy customer

Very poor courtesy from the etihad staffs... Infact quite rude. Some old people literally struggled bcoz the food given were not suiting them as well it didnt have a fruit or yogart for them to keep going..... Immigration at Abu Dhabi was another pain in the neck with so much overcrowding....... The worst part was when there was a faulty luggage belt at Chicago Airport, extremely irresponsible staffs made us wait for more than 4 hrs running between poles in search of our luggages.. Wont recommend this airlines esp for aged ppl.

Etihad has a carryon policy that makes absolutely no sense. Standard carryon sized bags were “too big” to fit into their required dimensions. Why have a carryon policy at all when it is unusable for basic carryon luggage. Their customer service is ridiculous and incredibly rude. Bottom line, there are other budget airways to travel abroad with that don’t make you jump through all of these hoops, fly with them. Never again, Etihad.

Worst ! And very bad customer service especially at tha baggage counter.they charge you as they wish without following particular proforma. I was traveling from india n I was on time. But at the check in my luggage was weighing 2 kgs more so,I said i am ready to pay! So they told me to pay $120 n asked me to sort out the luggage to stuff the extra luggage in one of my bag . After m done with that I went again to check in n dat fellow says v don’t accept dollars so go n get indian currency which they should’ve told me prior. I have to leave the baggage n then run for currency exchange . After I came back they say its just 3000 rupees😡” I have exchanged 120$ “. I have to exchage the remaining amount again. ( rupees to dollars) which is waste of time n money.So I am at loss coz of the exchange rate this pissed me off 😡😡😡😡.worst airlines I wouldn’t recommend it to others.
