Repairman came did some adjustments. Problem still existed. Explanation was it was installed wrong for the Last 25+ years. To make this correction would be thousands of dollar. Dont call back until I wanted that done. Service fee for adjustments was $375. Note. Boiler was working fine for years. Minor replacement of parts. I released some water which I pointed was probably the problem in the first place. Repairman refused . Boiler working fine after removing water. With the condition the world is in today. Being a Senior Citizen (female) I feel this company was taking advantage of the situation. He agreed that his time was worth about $100 per hour. So he charged that and the problem was not fixed. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE, UNLESS YOU JUST WANT TO GIVE THEM A DONATION.

As a landlord, we have used Wantuck for years and found their professional service to be of great value to both ourselves and our tenants. They are responsive to emergency calls and very professionally when ever they go on site. We also use them for regular spring and fall checkups to make sure everything is up to spec. Wantuck installed a mini-split system for us - and of the many companies we had come out and bid the job, they were the only ones who actually listened to our concerns - and then found solutions to address them. They were also very reasonably priced, and the installation team worked really hard to get our system installed in early spring. Its now a year later, and weve been extremely happy with it! Highly recommended! I also appreciated that they serve neighborhoods on the south side of the City - so many hvac installers wont come to our neighborhood just because its south of Roosevelt. Wantucks professionalism is so-so. This company installed my furnace and air conditioner about 25 (twenty five) years ago. And only recently, another contractor, who installed my present furnace and air conditioner explained, why those installed by Wantuck was so INEFFICIENT: Air conditioner had too small diameter pipes (tubes) connecting evaporator with the main unit, and furnace lacked a wire connecting thermostate with furnace what in effect caused that two-stage furnace worked like one-stage. Meanwhile air conditioner was repaired several times by Wantuck, most recently two years ago, and still nobody paid attention for that lemony.On January 29 this year - 2020 I called for a furnace repair, and Wantuck serviceman ordered a part on my behalf, however meanwhile I decided to not repair, only buy and install new units. So, I asked for return that ordered part and to reimburse the paid amount back to my account. After eight (8) weeks they still keep my money and do not reimburse it. I have documents which confirm withdrawal by Wantuck from my bank account and the part order by Wantuck.

We have had a great service from o we have had a great service from Wantuck. We been able to get a service call done within a very short period of time. the service person has always been on time and the work that theyve done has been very good. we recently had them disconnect our rooftop air conditioner so that we could get a new roof put on and then they came back and reconnected it. everything is working perfectly.

The tech they sent (David) was amazing! He diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes, and he had the replacement part on his truck and ready to be installed. Amazing! It seems repairmen never have the part you need with them so this was a breath of fresh air Great job, polite, respectful and totally knowledgeable, this was the best service tech I ever had at my home. Wantuck is a great company, but recently, David C went above and beyond. I already trusted them to replace my entire A/C system. It was time to get a new furnace. The old one was 20 years old. Of course I picked Wantuck. Kristen came over, at a really convenient time, to talk me through all my options. Never any pressure with Wantuck. I picked my selection and David came with another person to do the installation. Turns out that the technology in my home was not talking to the new furnace. Plus, the previous owners had created serious challenges, in terms of wiring, etc. David went above and beyond to make everything existing work. He was on the roof, in the basement, back on the roof, then in the wall and around and around he went until he figured it out. And he did. He just kept working until he figured it out. It is just something I dont see many service folks do. Kristen could not be more helpful and David made it all happen. I cant say enough about David and his work ethic and skills, and problem solving skills!

We use Wantuck for our regular maintenance. But after my air conditioning system broke, Wantuck Comfort Solutions was quick to give a VERY good quote (they were many hundreds less than competitors!), came quickly on the hottest day of the year, and efficiently replaced our whole AC system. Kristen was easy to work with, and worked really hard to help us in our hour of need; she was especially helpful in getting us great financing. Jaime came early to our house and installed our new Carrier system. By mid-afternoon, our AC was back up and running strong. I HIGHLY recommend Wantuck Comfort Solutions!

No stars. Called three times. Left three messages. Talked with three people. And NEVER got a call back. I have an HVAC issue and I had multiple people recommend them. I do not know who is running the show over there, but its truly incredible that I still havent gotten a call back and its a week later. I even told the third person I talked to that this was the THIRD time I called with no response and she said shed put a note that that was the case. Still, nothing. Take your money and effort elsewhere.

I have had Wantuck services for 26 years and give Wantuck a 5-star rating. If a technician is needed, appointments are quickly made. All technicians who have visited my home have been polite, friendly, and competent. Further, I once had an emergency at midnight (air-conditionong failure in blistering hot summer night) and a technician 20 miles away came to my home as soon as he could drive the distance to fix it - no waiting until normal morning hours. I bought a new air-conditioner and furnace from Wantuck and couldnt be happier with my purchases at prices for installation about 20% cheaper than other heating and air-conditioning firms in the Chicago area. I strongly recommend Wantuck over competing firms.

They answer any and all my questions and their prices are reasonable (less expensive than others I have used). Their office staff are always willing to comply with scheduling changes, sending duplicate invoices, service reminders, etc. They are just great.

Wauntuck repeatedly failed to correctly diagnose issues with both our thermostats and the underlying heating and cooling systems, all of which they installed for our homes previous owner no more than 4 years ago. The last straw came today when they came out to find that both our electric heat and radiator heating systems were totally nonfunctional, leaving us without heat or hot water. Wauntuck informed us that it would be impossible to get the needed parts for replacement same day, despite being told the obvious hardships this would create. As it is currently 35 degrees out, I decided to call around to see if there was another solution. After having to call Wauntuck multiple times to get the number of the part we needed, I started to feel confident that they were hiding the ball. Sure enough, within 30 minutes I found a local supplier (hotwater911) that had the part in stock. Wauntuck holds itself out to be a quality company - they certainly arent economical. Im willing to pay for quality if I actually get it, but thats not the case here. Youre just paying over market prices for rank incompetency and a total lack of care. If youre savvy, youll look elsewhere.

Recent;y (2/15/18) our furnace broke down. Its practically new. With so many Heating/AC providers available we werent sure who to call and which one would be honest, qualified and above all not charge us an arm and a leg to fix the problem. We spent the night without heat and called Wantuck the following morning.As per our experience we hit the Lotto, with Wantuck they fixed the problem.Even though the problem was very hard to pinpoint Mike, our service tech would not give up. He worked very hard to resolve the problem. He set up and climbed the ladder to the roof line to check the chimney flue for an obstruction. Other service people as per our experience would not bother or give us some tech talk excuse that the problem was with some strange sounding part in the furnace?I asked Mike a lot of questions and he professionally and patiently answered each one!Hes a great, highly qualified honest guy! Even though I have not had experience with all of Wantucks service staff I am sure all of Wantucks service people reflect the same work ethic, very qualified and honest including support staff, Monica. Whats more I couldnt believe his boss Bill came to our home to make sure everything was good!Turns out the problem was with an elbow leading out from the furnace that was loosen by falling icicles causing our heater to flame on and off.Aside from fixing the problem the biggest relief was that Wantuck charged us just for the service call!!! You never know we could of been unknowing victims of an unscrupulous vendor charging more for unneeded parts and labor. Yet they were very fair. Hard to find in this world nowadays.
