AC needed evaluation after slowly losing its steam over the course of a week. Technician (Tyler) did a thorough job listening to what was going on and evaluating everything both inside and outside. He thoroughly inspected parts of our very old (21 yrs) AC unit before declaring it brain dead. We expected this news, but we’re happy to get someone out the same day at a convenient time. We will use them to quote a new one, someone is scheduled to come next day!
My AC stopped cooling my unit and I was able to get a technician to come out the next day. Tyler was on time and very professional. He explained everything that was wrong with my unit as well as showed photos and videos. He cleaned up after his evaluation and helped me schedule someone to come out and give me a quote. Guardian was very responsive to our needs during this busy time. We requested AC services on Thursday afternoon and they were able to come the following afternoon. Nelson communicated his arrival time and was very punctual. He was able to diagnose and fix the issue with our AC and had it working within an hour. Of all the contractors, repair people, and home improvement companies we’ve ever worked with, Guardian has been the very best. Their response and follow up communication is top-notch, and they are absolute professionals in installing and assessing HVAC issues. We’ve had their seasonal maintenance contract for many years and 3 different residences, and it has paid off at each. We also contracted them for a very complex job, and they worked through difficult electrical issues to make sure everything worked, coming back to our house -- with no additional fees -- numerous times to find a solution for us. They are honest and upfront, and it’s the best experience we’ve had with any service company. I’d recommend Guardian to anyone.
Tyler came to my house within a few hours of calling. He was able to diagnose the issue with my air conditioning, check the age of my entire hvac system and talk me through the best path forward. As I agreed putting a bandaid on a 23 year old unit is not worth the cost, he helped guide me to programs that will save me money on the replacement.Would highly recommend
They were able to repair our AC in about 2 1/2 hours but the price was shockingly high. Not only was it way more than I expected, but the $89 service fee was still charged. In my past experiences with other companies, a service fee is absorbed into the labor cost if you proceed with repairs after diagnosis. I would not use this company again, there are others that charge less for repairs.
Very poor customer service. Our unit was 90 degrees with a 18 month old at home and they wanted to charge $500 for a Sunday “emergency” visit. We opted to spend $150 for a hotel room and a different company to service our unit later that evening.

Guardian Heating & Cooling is the most professional, courteous and biggest value for the money. Jasper Pitrello, co-owner, is hands on and if there is an opportunity to save the customer money he will step in. They have replaced our furnace, heater and assisted with our air conditioning. There is value in their monthly subscription as you save money on services and they come within 24 hours or less, in most circumstances. I cant recommend this company enough and have told all my neighbors about how great this company is. Easily a five star company.

I called to have my heating and cooling checked in a new condo I just moved into. Tyler came out and did a great job. He really went above and beyond. The AC units I thought were mine were not. After a long search, we finally found mine on the roof. Our furnace stopped working during extremely cold weather, of course. Guardian tech was here the same day. He showed us the issue, explained the problem and answered all our questions. The salesperson was not high pressure; was one of the co-owners. He showed us what was recommended based on square footage of our home, gave us his thoughts on what was a good value and investment and what was extras/nice to haves. They helped with the paperwork for the energy efficiency rebates. The installation team was friendly and efficient. They walked us through everything, including programming the thermostat with our phones. They also provided us with space heaters to use to get us to the next day when they installed our new system. We are happy to support our neighborhood businesses.
When our AC gave out in the middle of a 90 degree week, we were pretty worried it would be a costly repair. Guardian was able to send out a technician quickly, and Peter got right to work investigating the problem. Getting the AC back on ended up being a quick fix, but while he was here, he also made some repairs to the furnance and gave me information about replacing it in 1-3 years. We joined Gaurdians membership program and were able to save $700. Excellent value and service, love that they stand behind their work. We will be using Guardian for future HVAC repairs and replacements. Highly recommend.

My first time using this company. My furnace has been acting up so I googled HVAC + my zip code. Guardian came up as a top 10 in my area on Yelp. After reading the reviews, I decided to go with them. I was able to get same day service. Awesome on a 10-degree day. The technician, Nelson, was very nice, professional and informative. You couldnt ask for anyone better. Im hoping the next time I need help with my furnace I can request Nelson specifically.
I had a competitor out to look at my furnace. The competitor quoted me $2000 for the fix and recommended a brand new unit be installed. I called Guardian for a second opinion. Jasper was at my place the next day and probed about what was happening. He proactively suggested he have a look before just providing a quote for a new furnace. Upon review, Jasper said I absolutely didn’t need a new furnace - and that the repairs would be a couple hundred dollars. Jasper was thorough and professional. Working with Jasper (company owner) was great. He came over to my house twice - the first time to diligently review the issues I was having and the second time (which he volunteered to do) he came by with a Carrier technician to ensure all questions I had were answered to my satisfaction (which they were). Jasper went the extra mile and earned my business. The only complaint I had with the experience was with the day of install. The crew, while nice and professional, didnt listen to our repeated requests to keep our front door closed, which got pretty annoying. They finally got it but it was after we reached the point of exasperation with them.

We recently bought a new home and our furnace almost immediately broke. Sadly the manufacturer and the installer would not stand by the warranty. Guardian came out promptly and identified the issue and gave us several options on how to handle the problem. They never tried to upsell us! The people weve dealt with at Guardian have always been personable, explained things to us, and provided prompt, efficient service. Living in an old house with funky things we dont fully understand, like radiators and boilers, its been a learning curve, but we feel comfortable with Guardian guiding us along.

This company came highly recommended so I had them come to do a furnace clean and check. They came and did not properly clean or check the furnace. The tech said there was an oil leak and gave me a quote of 2K to replace the motor. He said he would email pictures of the oil leak..., those pictures never came .He also encouraged me to pay another 100.00 to become a member. I called the company and they said I was doubtful the service was performed properly, they said they would send someone else, I waited all day on the day of the appointment. Nobody came.They sent a salesman to talk to me about my options and he saw the furnace had not been cleaned. I called another company, the furnace was fine, no leak and they properly cleaned it with a vacuum and checked using meters which was not done by Guardian. I am glad I got a second opinion, turns out I do not need a new motor or furnace. I am pretty horrified that the Guardian tech would lie to me.
I called Guardian around 10:00am because my AC wasn’t blowing cold air. They told me that they would be out by the afternoon, less than an hour later Tyler called and said he was on his way. He was able to get the air working within an hour. Very professional and very pleasant to deal with. My air conditioner decided to stop blowing cool air. I called Guardian on.a Sunday night and was able to get someone out the next day!! I lucked out big time as the gentleman who came out, Nelson, was FANTASTIC! He was determined to get to the bottom of it. After toiling on the hot rooftop, he diagnosed the problem and replaced the necessary parts. He concluded no freon was necessary. So conscientious and diligent in his approach!! We were careful looking at options for a new A/C unit in our first home. It’s a big purchase, right? We appreciated the patience and respect from Jasper & David when they visited us to talk about the estimate. They took time to look at our unit thoroughly rather than focusing on the numbers.On the day of service, we had Don and the crew install the unit and they were beyond amazing! Polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and even sensitive around our 1yo —warning about the noises and safety hazard particles. I mean those details to share while flying up and down the stairs all day long with the heavy equipment? That’s the winner service. I dont do reviews unless service is worthy of 5+ stars or 1 star.- This is the only company in the area that charges 1.5x their normal rate on the weekends.- This company repeatedly told me that the part needed to repair my furnace was $650+. After searching online for parts and speaking with other companies, I found that the part was $300 with labor and trip fee included. So when you add in the $150 for the trip fee, Guardian charges 2.67x more than other reputable companies. That is not fair pricing by any means. No one in their right (business) mind would pay almost 3x more for a simple parts & install job.- I asked for warranty on parts and labor and was told they do not provide a warranty. (1.5x trip fee on weekends + 3x job fee vs other service companies + no warranty for the work)- I was told that the part may or may fix the issues, which already plants the seed for more cost at a 3x rate- the rep also discussed my decision with my tenant. I believe that a business should deal with the property owner / individual who requested the service. It is not that companies place to discuss financials or decisions with a tenant or resident. The rep did not mention that I declined the job because of inflated price, lack of warranty on parts, lack of guarantee for labor. Therefore my tenant became angry assuming that I merely declined the service due to price alone.I would recommend Lakeview instead. The rep at Lakeview laughed at the quote that I received from this Guardian Heating & Cooling. They came out promptly with the part needed to fix the issue at a fraction of the price. Very very pleased with their service. Unfortunately, I still had to pay Guardian an inflated price for the diagnostic. Lakeview diagnostic price is half of Guardians.
Nelson came out to assess our HVAC system on a house we recently bought and are about to move into. He was awesome! He called me about 30-40 minutes before he arrived and was on time. He was very professional and dealt with my dog barking and being annoying at times, which was much appreciated. He was helpful in explaining all the repairs before he did anything, which I appreciated, and even helped us fix a few minor issues while he was there (such as the weird settings on our thermostat). Overall, very satisfied with the service!

Peter was tremendous. Our plumber had declared our water heater dead. Peter came out with his friendly assistant Matt to haul it away and hook up a new system and he fixed the unit instead, in much less time and at much less cost! Tyler came over to perform the yearly maintenance inspection of my furnace and was super thorough and informative! Tyler took the time to ask me questions about how my furnace was performing so that he could pay special attention to certain details. After the inspection and cleaning was complete Tyler showed me what he found, and even documented some things by taking pictures of the furnace interior. I love that Tyler took the time to educate me about some key aspects of my furnace, such as how its use affects air quality and ways to mitigate its effect on my utility bill. Outstanding service oriented company with highly professional and friendly staff. Ive used them several times for annual checkups and/or maintenance work. This year a young Guardian serviceman named Tyler checked out my boiler over the course of about an hour, pronounced it in good shape and then convinced me to sign up for a reasonably priced maintenance package that covers the boiler and water tank, as well as offering substantial discounts on any needed repair issues. In the coming cold weather, its good to know that I have Guardian at my side if needed.
My AC had a blown fuse and I replaced a new fuse. I was looking for a replacement because the technician from a different company said that the compressor is done. I called Guardian Heating & Cooling Service and requested for a quote for a new AC. The technician came to my house and fixed the problem. I would not hesitate to recommend and refer my friends to this place!

Tyler the technician was very professional, has a personality that makes you feel confident that the right things were going to be done. He was knowledgeable and appeared to be working in a systematic manner to find the cause of the ac problem. He had no problem working on a slanted roof where the unit was located. He exhibited a hard work ethic. Being a first time customer with Guardian, Tyler left me with a very positive view of this company. I will be calling them for future heating and cooling needs.

UPDATE: Ive been a Guardian member for a year, and couldnt be happier. The service has been fine (nicest techs!) but, last week, I found out that Id have to replace my A/C. Jasper came out to go over what Id need and, with no sales push at all, I realized Id be wise to go ahead and replace the entire HVAC.This morning, Rory (lead) and Akim arrived to install my new system. Theyre a real dream team. Though I was working from home, they did not disturb me. Hard as they worked, they never seemed to break a sweat, and always had a ready smile. The cherry on top? They left my home at least as clean - probably cleaner! - than they found it.If youre looking for a quality, fairly-priced HVAC contractor - call Guardian!____________________________________Out of the blue, my A/C stopped cooling. Time to call Guardian! Sergio, my service tech, was A+. He arrived right on time (masked), worked efficiently and professionally, clearly explaining the issue (coolant leak), and was considerate (even asking if he could write on my wooden table). I happily signed up for the membership plan, and only hope Sergio is back in the Fall to check out my heating unit. Hes the best!
They did a fantastic job repairing our 20 yo furnace that went down on Christmas Day. They were quick efficient and friendly. I’ll be using them for regular maintenance from now on.
