After repeated calls and emails to this Tidewater Mechanical to schedule our pre-paid spring maintenance check, we are unable to get a return call from them to schedule servicing. I’m wondering if they’ve gone out of business and are not fulfilling their customer service contracts.July, 24, 2021 Update. Tidewater Mechanical contacted us Friday, July 23, and although they are understaffed, they came out today and completed our HVAC maintenance as per our contract. Joe was thorough, explaining procedures and addressed our concerns.

Tidewater Mechanical installed an HVAC unit for us approximately 6 years ago. Functionality and service has been absolutely perfect, until we noticed a bit of an issue yesterday. We contacted the company this morning and they had someone come out just a few hours later! After a thorough inspection, they were able to fix the problem quickly and then took the time to explain not only the issue, but the correction made to ensure it would not be a repeat issue. I HIGHLY recommend this company and will continue to use them in the future!

I purchased a commercial freezer for my family from an online restaurant supplier. (yes I have a big family - 6 boys) After 5 months the freezer began overheating. I called multiple appliance repair businesses and no one was willing to even come and look at it. Tidewater Mechanical came and diagnosed the problem and fixed it in just an hour. Due to the fact that we keep it in the garage a mouse had crawled into it and died. It was obstructing the cooling fan. They only charged me the service call fee. They were professional and a delight to do business with. I will definitely recommend them!

Very slow company that gives the “run around”. When first called they said they’d be there within 4-24 hours and this was on Saturday but didn’t come till Monday because they deemed it not an emergency because outdoor temperatures were not freezing. But my house was 50 degrees with a 1 year old. They came Monday said it needed a part or new system left never heard anything. I called and asked for update and unable to provide one. I called again Tuesday they said they are ordering the part and will take 5-7 business days meanwhile overnight temps are dropping in 20-30 degrees. They called Friday saying the part was there but they can’t come until Tuesday next week. They don’t give you any times when they are coming all they offer is to call you 30 minutes before they come.

My family and I were in the middle of a heat way and needed a new ac system. We were calling around and all the other companys couldnt come out for at least 4 days. I found Tidewater Mechanical.Danny and his crew were able to come out the next morning and replace our AC. Danny and his crew were speedy and professional. In a few hrs. my AC was blowing cold. Their prices were fair. I havent had any problems with my AC ever since. You you can depend on Tidewater Mechanical.

Joe called to set up a full install in a short time frame, and was very professional, polite, and courteous. He walked me through all that will take place and what issues may arise. He even offered to have a handyman he trusts accompany him to the first day to give an estimate on other needed repairs to our home. I have been very impressed, and will update after the install.

When my AC goes out Kellie is right there talking to me and before I know it Joe is at my house. This is a company that has a heart. They genuinely care about their customers. Joe works very hard fixing your problem AC. Mine is old but he manages to get it up and running. Im so thankful for that. Most companies wouldnt even try. Joe does. He understands. He is very professional, he will answer your questions and he will explain what he is doing. With this company there are no surprises. As far as Im concerned Tidewater Mexhanical is the best,honest and caring company around. If your AC is broken dont hesitate to give them a call. I am always telling others about this company. I highly recommend them. If you need your AC fixed give them a call. You will be happy you did.

I agree with the other reviews here. Great communication, knowledgeable, professional and courteous.Signed up for the yearly maintenance plan for my HVAC system. It provides many features and allows for an opportunity for a professional to inspect the system to make sure it’s running at its peak.Worth every penny!I would recommend to friend based off of this experience.

Tidewater Mechanical did a great job installing our new HVAC system. They also repaired and replaced some of our ductwork. It was a huge job and they got it done how we wanted it done for the right price. There were a few snags but Joe personally made sure we were happy with the work.

They were supposed to fix my A/C system. Came out and said they found and fix a leak without leak testing my system. Few days later my house began overheating again, I found my refrigerant lines frozen which meant my system was low on refrigerant. Hence, they NEVER actually fixed the leak. They came back again filled my unit with refrigerant and said they will be back to nitrogen check it. I called and they claimed they never said that and as a matter of fact they already fixed my unit. I HAVE THE WORKER ON CAMERA STARTING THAT HE WOULD BE BACK TO TEST! WHY IS MY HOUSE 80 degrees!! Be very careful if you are not familiar with HVAC or have no experienced with such. They are lairs and will charge for work they never completed!

I spoke with Kellie and she told me the price for someone to come out and it was a fair price she was respectful and answered the phone as soon as I called. Then Mike came out and fixed my AC and it was running just after he was done. I strongly recommend Tidewater Mechanical.

We have been using Tidewater Mechanical since we moved here last year. They came out in the middle of a snow storm to restore our heat when no one else would. They always make a point to check in on our new unit and always insure the satisfaction of their customers before leaving the job. Would and have recommend tidewater Mechanical to everyone I know!

A year ago our AC. went out. The outside temperatures were hitting in the 100s. I live in a mobile home and the heat was unbearable. It was like sitting in a tin can. We called Tidewater Mechanical LLC. They came right out and in no time my AC was up and running.Now a year later my heat went out. A family member had another company give an estimate on the cost of fixing my heater. The quote was 600.00. For the part and labor plus I was told they would have to have the unit mandatory cleaned. Plus they may have to modify the part to fit my heater. All I could see was dollar signs adding up. I knew at this point it was going to be over 600.00. I couldnt afford that. I was so frustrated and tired of freezing as I have been without heat for several months. Then I decided to call Tidewater Mechanical LLC. Two men came that evening. They were extremely kind and professional. The younger man was the apprentice. He explained everything and answered any questions I had. It turned out I didnt need the part the other company said I needed. Nor did I have to have the unit mandatory cleaned. I needed a different part. In no time I had heat. My electric heat and the heat pump was tested to make sure they were working properly. This company is honest and does not take advantage of you. I highly recommend them. They do very good work. They are highly knowledgeable in their field of expertise. If you need your ac or heater worked on,Tidewater Mechanical is the place to call.

Very professional job. We were having issue with unit turning on right after it turn off with no heat. Joe came promptly and was able to diagnose the issue and corrected the problem. Nice to have heat again. When having a problem with heat or ac, I know who to call.

Joe did an exceptional job making sure everything was in working order. He went above and beyond to repair as much as he could in his first visit. Im definitely going to call him again if any other problems arise.

Man my basement broke after the kids broke out, And they did a good job repairing the water damages.

This is the second time I have had Joe help me. Last year during the hottest time of the year my AC went out and he had it fixed the next day. Not my heat went out and Joe came out the same day and fixed it. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else

Joe and his team are the best around! He has been working on my units for years and he has always been more than reasonably priced and responds quickly to any repair or emergency!

Had a claim with home warranty company and although the process with them was very troublesome Joe with Tidewater Mechanical was there to help smooth it out and help navigate the process. Even though it wasn’t his fault he was very apologetic and went above and beyond to make the repairs quickly once the warranty company approved and ordered parts.

So I have been dealing with a condensation issue on my AC ducting that all i could see was water spot on my ceiling downstairs. I have had other HVAC companies out here that literally did nothing except assume. Joe came out and instantly started digging deeper than the rest of the contractors. Went above and beyond the normal helping us with what we needed!!!

Joe and the crew of Tidewater Mechanical came through when other HVAC technicians could not. An initial fix of our system involved a $15 part, where other contractors quoted us in the hundreds or thousands for a fix. When we ultimately decided to update and expand our HVAC system, we were impressed by the speedy service, involving new air handlers, additional duct work, a larger fan and updates to all the electrical. The work was done for a reasonable price and in just two days in tight quarters. I would highly recommend these guys.

I needed a second opinion for my heating system and I decided to give Tidewater Mechanical a call. The first company I had out condemned my system in lamans terms means i wasnt able to use it. They said it had a non-repairable freon leak. My system is only 6 years old!! When the technician, from Tidewater Mechanical showed up( I believe his name was Josh) he was early, pleasant, professional and you could obviously tell he liked what he does and isnt just there for a paycheck.He asked a few questions and got right to it. He FIXED THE FREON LEAK! $700 dollars and 2 1/2 hrs later the job was complete. The other company quoted me $6000 and offered me a payment plan. I feel because I am a female the companies are always out to get me, but i did not feel this way with Tidewater Mechanical, he actually talked to me in lamans terms (rather then throwing a bunch of technical words that i have no clue what they mean) and i actually understood what he was saying. Im so glad I found a company with such kind staff that have my families best interest in mind. They have since fixed a bunch of refrigeration at the restaurant my boyfriend works at. I highly recommend this company for your A/C and heating needs.
