John is one of the best fishermen in New England, I’ve never seen a day where John doesn’t go all out to put fish on the deck for his customers. He will always go the extra mile (or 10) to make it happen, no matter the species!

Great captain and very comfortable boat. John is the person to talk to if you want to charter in Chatham and have a wonderful experience.

My group went bluefin tuna fishing with John on back to back days in early October. I’ve fished with a lot of captains all over the U.S. and you never know what you are going to get no matter how much research you do. John is exactly what we were looking for. He fishes hard, is constantly searching for fish and is quick to change up what he’s doing if plan A is not working. He was also extremely flexible and adjusted his normal schedule to allow us to fish within the weather windows that were open over the two days. We had rough conditions, but his flexibility allowed us to get out on the water when the majority of boats stayed home. We had tremendous success (4 bluefin over 2 days, including a 73” fish), but that is not what is driving this 5 star review. I would give him 5 stars if we came home empty handed as it was clear that John was doing everything in his power to put fish in the boat.
