I called to get a car towed that was parked in my spot, as it is the only place I can park legally on my property. I waited 45 minutes in my car and called again, they told me they didnt know when a tow truck would be able to come in a very rude manner. I waited another 30 minutes to call, no answer, so I called again a couple times to find out they had blocked my number. Unbelievably unprofessional.

Service was prompt and of high quality. I had a bit of body work and an oils change done and I feel that the work was affordable for the good quality it was.

Shakee is friendly and upbeat. He took great care to tow with no damages to my sons motorcycle. There are surprisingly few towing services in our area and this one is in my contacts.

I had to leave my car because it got stuck due to snow & they towed it to my house for a great price. Robert Burgess was the responding wrecker for when my car broke down. He ended up dropping my vehicle from 2 feet in the air because he didnt properly attach it. Then took off squealing tires and left me to call someone else. Called and spoke with the owner and he claimed they had never been out to pick my vehicle up. Shaddy business, stay away!

I do not leave negative reviews as a business owner, unless it is really needed. In this case, it is needed!We have used two other towing companies in the past, but today we used Schulls because no one else could get to us. I never thought the price would be more than double!I will never use or recommend Schulls. I guess when its a business, they feel the best thing to do is get as much as possible. Our last tow was from a location close to where Schulls picked up our vehicle today. Our previous tow, the driver from another company had to disconnect the drive shaft and the fee was $140.00. Schulls charged $300.00 to put the truck on a flatbed! This is how you do not get repeat business! My hope is others will not call Schulls.

Was towed in a “fire lane” while the fire lane is on the other side of the road. Operator was incredibly kind woman, however.

My neighbor died in an ATV crash this past weekend. The police took the ATV as evidence and stored it at Schulz. My father went to pick up the ATV and Schulz charged him $900 for storage, while it was being investigated. When we tried to negotiate the price down Schulz told us “it is not our fault your friend was stupid and died”. DO NOT CHOSE Schulz!

Currently waiting outside for a car that was towed by the city at possibly the worst establishment in Charlottesville. They make Colliers look good. Spoke with a “gentleman” who said that he would meet us outside so we ubered here as my boyfriend has a show to play which he expressed and agreed to meet here. Lights are on in the office, called back and someone said “a few more minutes” and still no one is here. Regardless of who you are contracted with, there needs to be a level of professionalism here and there’s not. Also, asked my boyfriend if he was “being smart with him.” Pretty sure normal business owners and workers who work with the public don’t try to engage in conflict with their clients. I will say the guy who was in the office who met us was kind, but the original guy who spoke with us was the worst. This is not a professional establishment and even if we didn’t contract them, we are potential future customers who will likely one day need to pick out a towing company.

Car broke down in the middle of 64/called Shulls. They sent a unit my way immediately. James was there within 5-10 mins. After he asked me what the problem was he promptly and kindly directed me into his truck to get warm as it was very cold and raining. Within 5 minutes we were on our way. He was very personable and professional. Arrived at our destination and he stayed until it was clear that the staff there would be able to help me. Overall- for my car deciding to throw a tantrum - the towing service from Shulls couldnt have been better. Thank you, James.

Good service every time I hit them

So this is going to be a pretty detailed sharing... I called them after what it already been a very hard day doing battle with DMV and reacquiring my large RV. A Winnebago elandan, if youve ever seen Spaceballs you know how big it is. Even though Google said they were closed, the phone was answered by young man who asked some intelligent questions and then told me it would be about an hour and a half before you get to me. This was after having already called four places with no help and no referrals to anywhere else. I was relieved and told him to come on when he can. It took him a little longer than he thought which is understandable because sometimes the unexpected crops up in their business but he did get to me within a half hour or so longer than he said which is not bad at all... When he got there he got me hooked up, detached my drive shaft so my transmission wouldnt be damaged and then towed that big b!+(h 44 miles over Afton Mountain for what was a very reasonable sum and quite quickly also. I have to say Cory is a fabulous tow truck driver and his company should definitely do whatever they can to hold on to him. Anytime I need a tow or need to refer someone to a tow truck company on that side of the mountain, I am definitely going to give them their number. Even if Google says they are closed, give them a call anyway because youre probably going to need them at the time and they will probably answer the phone and definitely give you good customer service and honest work for your money.

I was at the Emily Couric cancer center when my car would not start. After several calls I finally found a tow truck company that could tow my car from the parking garage. When the guy got there he asked me one simple question and you immediately that my battery was dead. He jumped my battery and I was on my way.

My son locked my keys in our van by accident. I had all 3 children, one a baby and my 6 yr old in his wheelchair, and it was really hot. We live an hour away. I called Shulls and they were there and had my van unlocked in 10 minutes. They were extremely nice. I cant even put into words how thankful I am.

I was visiting Charlottesville on a Sunday afternoon on my way back to Delaware. I discovered I had a flat tire at 4 pm with no spare. These guys showed up ten minutes after I called, took me right to the Merchants Tire Service which was soon closing. Dont like them signed a title of vechial over to them bcuz car was inpounded due to being in accident after car was released they wanted an extreme amount for storage. Have been trying sence 9/2016 to get letter from them stated I signed it over to them. They have never taken car out of my name or gave me letter. I have had to pay taxes on it for 2 extra years.

The wrecker driver was very helpful and tried to help diagnose the problem to get the car started so we could avoid a tow. Very easy to deal with and punctual.

If you use Shulls via your insurance company, expect to be confronted with a made up $25 charge only once your vehicle is on the truck. Expect also that the pimply faced youth operating the tow truck wrecks your bumper because he frankly doesnt care.

Towed my car and didnt notify me (as ordinances require you to-- my car qualified as abandoned), lied about how much they were legally obligated to charge me, gave me the wrong address when I called ahead to give them the outrageous sum they demanded, showed up half an hour late to their run-down, smoked-out office, and threatened not to take me check after I had written it.Avoid at all costs.

Our personal experience with them was great! After waiting 6 hours for a service from whom we got a complete run-around, our road service personnel called Schulls Wrecker Service. And... fantastic service is what we got! Denzel, the driver was dressed in uniform and was professional, friendly and reassuring!In the future, we will ask for Denzel at Schulls....then we can relax!

These people told me that they would waive my deductible to keep my business. my car sat there for a week before the damage was appraised because of the snow. they called me and asked for payment up front, and then made some excuse about how they all of the sudden became super busy when I contested. my car was towed there by the police because I was distraught when another driver hit it and ran. They have set the repairs on my car back at least a week.

My daughter’s car broke down . I called them they were super nice . Usually you have to wait a while . Not them they were to my daughter within 10 min . Reasonably priced . Third time I used them . Yes my son has crashed a few cars . Thank you again Shulls Wrecker Service .
