Im so glad to have found this place in Charlottesville. All of the staff are so kind and do a great job. Laura is awesome, always pays close attention to details and has been really great in doing nail patterns or colored tip designs recently. I 100% recommend!Try to call ahead in advance to make an appointment.

Really liked it here. Came by on a whim for my birthday. Had never been but they were awesome and my legs really enjoyed it.

I am sitting in the salon right now. I have never experienced worse service. I was seated immediately, my technician began to remove my SNS color, wrapped my hands in aluminum foil then… left me. For a full hour now. Never once spoke to me, told me it would be this long. It’s horrible.

Service has really gone downhill here, I had a 10:45 appointment and was left waiting for nearly an hour while they welcomed walk ins and later appointments before mine. Only 2 nail techs in the whole salon actually seem to know what they’re doing. One nail tech didn’t know what a gel overlay was. If you want any type of real nail art you have to wait for the manager to do it.

After returning to the area after nearly 2 decades, I decided to treat myself to a mani/pedi. I wasn’t able to get recommendations from any local friends and ended up at Nail Capital on a whim. I was rushed off to a broken massage chair without having the opportunity to choose a polish color. I’ll skip all of the minute details but, the services I thought I was paying for were not rendered. For a basic manicure, a sugar scrub and hot oil massage were listed; I received neither. When I brought it up to the owner, she replied, “Oh, we can go do it now!” My nails were already dry at this point, I declined, and she refunded me $5. My pedicure was very poorly done, the water was cold, at best, the leg massage was sloppily done, and I had oil running down the backs of my legs, after she’d “wiped” it all off. The quality is poor and not worth the prices they charge. To add, there’s an upcharge for quick-drying top coat and the tech I had almost aggressively tried to get me to take an essential oils pedi package. Steer clear. I definitely could’ve had a better experience elsewhere for what I paid here.

The employees were very pushy. Up-charging regular nail polish, up charging pedicure service and even adding money for fast-drying top coat. The owner is very sweet and I only wish I would have gotten my services from her.

Terrible service. I booked an appt and had to wait 30 minutes for my service. Why bother taking appts if you dont respect the time slot or bring enough staff on to cover all business. The actual service was fine but there are so many options that its not worth the wait. Go somewhere else. What a waste.

Over charge you so be careful look at the price list

Went to get nails removed and they forgot all about me being there and had to leave and i still was charged after having to remove them myself

This is probably the best nail salon I’ve ever been to! Super friendly staff, relaxing, quick and efficient! I loved my nails and it lasted for over 2 weeks!! Wish I lived closer so I could continue to give them my business. Thanks again to Nail Capital for the wonderful experience!!

Great value! Ive gotten manicures, pedicures and waxing done here and Ive never left unhappy with the service I received. Great place to go for walk-ins too.

Have been going in for years, went in for my graduation pedicure today and completely ruined. They said it was dry and now it’s awful had to cover it with cheap sparkle nail polish. Spent $100 for my a special day and it didn’t even make it till graduation Sunday:( not even 5 hours so upset!!!!

Went there today and I have to say they were so nice and the job they did was probably the best I’ve had done in town so far! Also love that they showcase there LGBTQ+ support on here! Thanks ladies! Will be back!

It was fine. Not the best pedicure Ive had, but for the price, it was good. It felt a bit rushed, and the exfoliation, massage, and callus treatment were less extensive than Im used to. Good pedicure for getting your toes cleaned up and painted. Wouldnt be my first choice if looking for relaxing spa experience.

This is the only place I will go to to get a pedicure. They do great work and are so friendly.

Quick in and out for an eyebrow wax while on vacation. The tech listened to exactly what I wanted and took her time to make sure my brows were perfect. Exactly what I needed at the right price. Only complaint is the overwhelming chemical smell. But I wasn’t there long.

I walked in on this particular day and was asked what could they do for me today. I replied with saying I needed a fill in using Shelac. Im assuming she was the owner bc she called for another nail technician to come out and help me as to everyone else was busy but she herself wasnt. The owner then tells me to have a seat at the table. The nail technician walks to the table seeming to be bothered by something and at the same time having a conversation in their language with the owner. She then says to me what can I do for you today I say again I want a fill in using Shelac she picks up my hands examining them and once again speaking in her language to the owner. Ok so I get it now, theyre talking about me clearly!! The NT looks at me and says do you have acrylic nails on I say to her NO its Shelac and these are my nails. She tells me I must be confused bc we dont do a fill in using Shellac. Its called a Shellac ManicureMy response to her was Ok so forgive me for not using the proper terminology but you can clearly see that I have Shellac on my nails and I need it to be fixed so was all the other dialogue necessary and the fact now that I have been sitting here for 10 min.waiting for you to get started. It wasnt and she was ABSOLUTELY RUDE and she didnt seem to want to help me from the beginning. At this point I was defiantly ready to leave out of this shop!!! There are a lot of different ways I could have handled this situation and some resulting in being a complete nightmare on Water st. But I refrained from allowing myself to step outside of my character and possibly taking a risk in being labeled as what WE so often are when we express our feelings due to other peoples ignorance. So I say this to my readers: please know exactly what you want when you walk in this shop because if not your experience may be just as different as mines was. She did a good job on my nails but my overall experience with her was very unpleasant!

They got us in super fast then did our manicure and pedicure fast. We were in there for not even 30 minutes for a mani and pedi. They added gratuity to our bills as well. Couldn’t wait to get out or even stand to ask them to fix our nails because of there demeanor.
