Tom did an excellent job on my nails and was super quick to remove my previous dip. The establishment had a great vibe and i didn’t have to wait at all, despite even dropping in without an appointment during a busy time of day. The staff is very friendly and pricing for services is fair. I will definitely be visiting here again!

Horrible experience! I was asked to come back after coming to the shop once. Then when I got there I was told they could not service me but they took another person who came behind me. I. Hate pulling the race card but unfortunately the person who came 20 minutes after I got there I did was of a different race. When in the service industry the only color that matters is green. Very disappointed because they do a wonderful job but this was down right disrespectful

Kim Hoang and Linn Hoang run a tight ship. They are personable, clean, have reasonable prices and can almost always take you when you need to be there!!! And they do a GREAT job at creating a happy, nurturing environment to enjoy your experience!!!

Lotus is wonderful. They are very clean and friendly and have a huge selection of colors. I recently made an appointment now that salons have reopened in phase one of covid, and I was really impressed by their spacing and sanitation.

I have no idea how this place has anything close to 4 stars. I gave it a good “go”, too. At least 4 different times because it’s super close to home and seemed popular. People are either lazy or pay no attention to sanitation. It’s disgustingly dirty at the nail tables. So much dust and grime on everything! They share tools and supplies without cleaning them first. The rags that hang over the pedicure baths are rung out after use and used again for the next victim. There’s no money put into cleanliness in this place and the nail work is anything but impressive as well. Sorry, I don’t give negative reviews unless it’s something like this where fungus and diseases can easily be transferred from one person to another. That’s kind of a big deal. 😕

Two sisters walk into the salon. Both requested the same pedicure. One got a 5 star treatment and the other 2 star. No joke, sitting side by side. One in the chair for 10 min. The other for 20 min. Just sayin it will depend who works on you. Wish I had asked their names. Good luck!

I had went in for a scheduled appointment for an acrylic full set. The lady doing my nails was named Lee lee, she had asked me a lot of questions and we had a good conversation(the only good thing about my time spent there). She had requested that I pay before she started painting my nails. I paid $43 for the worst set of nails I have ever received. I had asked for jewels on some of my nails and she had put the glue down ON THE NAIL and not of the back of the jewel before setting it down. She put the jewels on after, there glue was all over my nails leaving so much excess glue on my nails that will still not come off without chipping the paintL; and on top of that she had used different sized jewels on the nails when I asked for the same size and refused to do what I had asked. Once she finished I had said something about the glue and she completely ignored me and started on another customer without any words and another worker had to come and tell me I was done after 20 minutes of me sitting there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND LOTUS NAILS CHARLOTTESVILLE. I was overpriced for a terrible job.

Not sure why the ratings are so low. I went in for a basic French pedicure and the guy was great! He was efficient while still paying attention to detail, even taking time for a nice foot/leg massage which is definitely the best part of a pedicure. Great nail salon!

This place is absolutely awful. Got my nails done and acrylic was coming off and my tips broke and came unglued all within 24 hours. My acrylic was no where close to thick enough. And half of my nail wasn’t even covered with acrylic. I see why they automatically add in their tip because if not they wouldn’t get one.Edit; At the Charlottesville VA location. I will be going tomorrow and requesting my nails be redone free of charge or my money refunded so I can go else where and get them fixed

I recently went to this nail salon and had a horrible experience. Not only was the nail technician constantly on his cell phone, he even stopped several, times in between to respond to text messages. Very unprofessional! Also, his English was a little hard to understand so he would give me a gesture instead of speaking to me. Me not being in nail salons a lot, I dont know what it means when you tap my hand... I later learned he wanted me to put my hand in the dryer. Would have been easier if he took his eyes off his phone or look at me in the eye to tell me...I moved my hand and smudged one of my nails and he was clearly irritated! My nails look sloppy as well as mu toes. Bad experience all around. My friend came with me and the girl that helped her did a great job though! Very friendly!

Currently sitting in the chair receiving the worst botched set ever. Was informed that my nail preference was “too long”, ignored on what I asked for, and delivered a sub par result. Only visit here if you want to spend more money having your nails redone. I know I’ll be going elsewhere as soon as I leave here to get what I actually want and not just what a tech feels like doing.

I would not recommend this salon. The totally messed up my dip powder job. It completely ruined my nails. They were sloppy and took forever even with an appointment. I would never go back.

Ive been here twice. The first time I went was okay. I got a full set and the girl who did my nails just made them a little too thick which was no big deal. The second time, I did not get the girl I got the first time. I had a man who made crude jokes while also telling me to watch tv instead of watching what he was doing. Uhm? Im paying for a service and I want to make sure that its done okay. Cherry on the cake was when he cut me along my cuticle with the buffer square. I didnt flinch and when it started bleeding and he realized that I noticed it, he didnt ask me to go wash my hands or stop using the same buffer square! Makes me wonder how many times he has done this and how many other people have bled on the tools! I will definitely not be back here a third time.

Unprofessional and communication gaps.I went here last Thursday on my birthday for a mani/pedi. Its on me that I didnt speak up about my pedi water being cold. However, she did a good job. It may be on myself as well that I just moved here and if i say I want a mani pedi full set where Im from they give me the acrylic...and Ive been to several nail salons back home they always get it right! So I say this and the woman sits me down and asks what color. I say well, again french tip. Then she gets the colors and begins to massage my arms and hands. Im thinking shes being nice seeing as how Im 6 months pregnant. Then she begins to paint tips on my nail nubs (always been a horrible nail bitter) I say wait wait No, I thought we were doing the acrylic? She stands up and leaves says nothing. Now theres a guy sitting in front of me saying you want powder? Im like yeah acrylic with french tips. He puts on the nails then begins to put two different colored powders on my nails one for the pink and one for the white tips... not only does this process take forever but the two powders ran into one another creating a shaky white french tip line. The lines were not straight, very bubbly, the nail themselves looked 3D, and you couldnt even see the pink in the nail due to all the bubbles underneath the nails. When I spoke up the guy became very rude, he didnt understand English hardly, he continued to argue to get his point across telling us your nail short we need use this powder. Im like no you are wrong Ive been doing this for 15 years at many different places. He said he could paint a straight white line over to fix that part. But, that would had not only been redundant but would had meant half my nail is now white ( yes thats how thick the white powder was placed on) so the guy continues to talk over me raising his voice didnt want to listen my husband and I just wanted out of there at this point. I was tired, hungry and had spent near 4 hours at this place on my birthday and then he over charged us. $101 For full set/pedi.. I was so upset but trying so hard not to create a huge sceen in their packed store as everyone looks at me like whats that girls problem lol sigh. Saved the receipt and btw that was Thursday, as of Friday I already had gaps forming and cracks at the cuticles.

Always a good experience when I go for shellac nails or a pedicure. I go at least once a month and always pleased when I leave.

If i could give it zero stars I would. Rude staff, dirt cheap prices but you definitely get what u pay for. In the hour I was there 2 customer complaints about there nails being broken after only a week. I wanted My dipping powder nails removed to get a new set and instead of taking the time to soak in acetone And wrap in foil the rude girl caught an attitude and started filing them down with electric file burning my finger after numerous times telling her I wanted them taken off with the acetone. I was treated as if I was a burden. Even down to them not being in uniforms and being rude it was completely unprofessional. And then the so called owner had the nerve to respond to my review and accuse me of having the wrong Lotus nails this is the Lotus nails next to kabuto sushi on pantops. I know its the correct place by the photos of the tacky décor.
