Worst customer service. They dont have resolution to your problems. I had told them to stop sending their illogical promotion offers in mail, phone and email. My mailbox continues to be filled by their letters. I started with an internet pack at $49, then it became $65, now it is $80 and the speed they promise is a joke. I had called technicians 5 times in my apartment to get the required speed - no resolution.Called them to downgrade my service to a lower speed, the manager said I dont have any options on my account. She said I better terminate my internet on the day of billing otherwise even for a day I will be charged for the entire month. Absolute predators!

Actively searching for another internet provider! Do not care about customers! High prices. Give you the run around! I talked to three different representatives to cancel my cable service because it keeps going up. When you cancel Spectrum service, they still charge you for the full month. The representatives try to charge you the highest Internet rate when you cancel your cable. If you have a time Warner Service, they make you cancel and go to a really pricey plan.

The most god awful company ever. Call to get pricing and are told to go buy a piece of equipment thatll be needed. I buy the required equipment only to then be told the monthly price will be a lot higher than what was quoted. Even after being given the reps name, was told by a Manager sorry we cant help you. Canceled ALL of my services and went elsewhere. I will NOT do business with lying thieves.

Call to cancel my Internet and the customer service woman told me that they do know it split the bill because my payment due date is half way through the month. Now they have sent me a bill that extends halfway into MA, even though they are fully aware I will not be using the service and have not done so for 2 weeks already. Last time I made the mistake of having them as my Internet service provider, I had to email the vice president of the company 3 months after I had canceled my service to actually have it canceled. Go with AT&T, you will be much much happier and get better customer service.

Spectrum Bundle I took for their internet speed !!was not explained that these Apple Boxes they sent me is a Streaming Service and that I will not be able to pause or rewind on any TV and the thing is, once you open the Box it cannot be returned! The agent did NOT EXPLAIN the features otherwise I would NOT have taken it! Now I have to pay 561.00 for something I dont want! I asked for the supervisor to listen my conversation with the agent who did not to explain me anything about the actual features of the BoxTo no avail! All I wanted was the regular TV!Now I have to pay for her tardiness!!!!!!!!!!

Worst company in the history of companies - in Oriental NC been waiting 22 days to have them bury a line and have spoken with 10 different people. All 10 have told me incorrect information, and or that the work was scheduled every time ( over 6 supposed appointments now ) luckily the neighbor allowed us to run a line from her house so we can have an internet connection given I work from home and have to be connected. It’s amazing that this company is allowed to stay in business, the COVID tragedy has awoken us all to some really bad companies, here’s my list of the top 3 worst companies ever!!!1- Spectrum 2 - BB&T 3- Hickory Station downtown Hickory NC, at the tracks ( worse managers ever and Ava the waitress makes Hitler look good )

I was without phone and internet for over 3 days. After it came on, the speed was 20 and nowhere near 200. Rep said she would send out a tech. Tech looked at everything and said speed should be fine. I used my own modem and he said that was fine. He said it was back to what it should be. On my bill I was charged a service call. Was told it was because I used my own modem. No one ever mentioned a charge. I only knew after getting the bill. I paid when the service was down, yet I am charged to check speed problem cause I use my modem. If you have these type of charges, communicate that to the customer. I will keep this in mind and look for a up front, clear transparent company. Shame on you for doing this, but you can cause you only care about your profits.

If you decide to bundle, you had better know exactly what you are doing. I was convinced by Spectrum staff that if I bundled my cell with my other services, I would save money. As it happened, I didn’t save any money. Factually speaking, it cost me a bundle. I paid a total ofof $163.00 and have been reimbursed $104.00.I had to pay $181.00 to return to my GREAT CRICKET SERVICE. I will never leave them (CRICKET) again. This transaction was within 4 days. Some of the staff are so nice and courteous but are predators when it comes towith holding information that shoul be shared with the consumer.I miss Time Warner Services DVRservices. With Spectrum,I can only record 1 channel and watch 1 channel at a time. This company sucks.

Spectrum internet charges you for services you did not receive, and is very cold and uncaring. despite numerous attempts to fix this unwarranted charge, spectrum refuses to do anything but continually state that even if your service wasnt used, you canceled 5 days too late, so were charging you for the whole month. After I was beat half to death in a domestic violence crime. To top it off, this happens. Ill pay you little 50$, but you wont ever see me, or anyone I can get to switch. While you might not know me, Im sure I can be persuasive enough for you to loose several customers. You are cold, hurtful, and uncaring. I have been unable to receive help elsewhere, I am hoping maybe you can help. I paid for the first month, and then due to domestic violence I was forced to move abruptly and canceled my service. I was not aware that I owed money. I paid for the first month, was forced to cancel 5 days after the billing cycle started, I had not even used any internet during those five days. If I am forced to pay this bill, you will be loosing a customer, forever.

This worst absolute worst review if I could give them - 10 Stars I absolutely would. First they promised 44.99 internet and cable thats everything included and $45 each line everything included unlimited phone internet and texting once my husband decided to order it everything changed we went from $90 for internet and cable $130 because they forgot to add the fees and taxes even though they said it included that. Then the same thing with the phone line the 45 didnt include unlimited internet only 1 GB of Internet a month total plus they wanted to add fees and taxes even though we were told that was added in to begin with. Once they sent out all the equipment they tried to send us a bill that was $65.99 for cable and 49.99 for the internet plus fees and taxes they jacked our cable price up over $20 for no reason at all so we canceled it but we kept the phone service because they said it was going to be the same well I got my phone in today and it was a generic Galaxy I asked for an S10 Plus because they were charging over market value for the s20 or S21 they sent me the generic version of a galaxy after I told them point-blank I didnt want it so they have us on the phone all day today for the internet the cable and then the guy had us on the phone for two and a half hours for cell service. Once he transfers us to a different part to get my phone and to get everything done right and to get it sent they tell us they dont have that phone anymore they want us to spend 2 times as much for the new ones well Id rather go buy it for cash money then then pay monthly and then get finance charges. So once we started getting irritated with him and told him just shut up we dont want you to say another word to us just cancel the service weve been on the phone with you guys all day we dont want to talk to you anymore we dont want any of your explanations just shut the hell up and do yourjob our representatives decided to hang up on us that way Spectrum can keep charging us for every second we have that phone they even tried to charge us tax and fees for a wrong phone. We even tried to call them back and they hung up on us again and my husband didnt say anything other than we wanted to cancel the service it wasnt mean he wasnt rude he didnt raise his voice he was calm cool and collected and they still hung up on him again. With everything Ive had to say all I can say is spectrum is still Comcast they still suck and their representatives are they worst most horrible people Ive ever had to deal with. I move to a new address and the switched the service address from old to new. But spectrum accidentally opened the new account on the new address so that it was charged twice on me.I called to cancel the new account and the customer service said it was completed and not to worry about it.2 months later I received collection bill from third party agency, and this is going to be recorded in the my credit report as well. I called in again, hope this time they can really fix it and also fix on the credit bureau.

This company is double dipping. When you pay your bill by cash the receipt show the balance remaining for the next month bill. However, the service is interrupted because it takes up 24 or 48 hours to process a cash payment. Well, thats the first explanation. The second explanation for why your service is interrupted is the next balance is due March 10th. Ok well Its March 3rd.???

I have explained to them that I have kids here who need the internet for school. Their is a pandemic going on right now and these people dont care. They just turn your stuff off. The 1st representative I spoke to had an attitude. When she could not help me, I asked for the corporate phone number and she asked me why? I found her rude. On top of that, my bill went up $24.00 dollars and I thought this would be the best company to go with, but I was wrong, they are like Dishnetwork and Directv both of them - your bill goes up without notification. They misrepresent their discount when they advertise. I will be looking for another company.

Poor InternetI have had 6 technicians at my house due to no internet service. I have worked at home for 10 years and have been with Spectrum for 2 years. I have never been so stressed in my life. I work for a fortune 500 Company and I have deadlines that have to be met required by the statesAnother concern is Covid. Six technicians have been in my house. I recently moved to a new apartment which already had Spectrum service. I contacted Spectrum on Sunday February 2, 2020 to cancel my existing account since there was no reason to transfer it to my new location. During the conversation, one of your agents informed me that I would continue to be charged through the remaining billing cycle even though my billing cycle had just started three days prior on January 31, 2020. Of course, I was not happy when I was told this and questioned the agent’s statement. She told me “that is our policy” as she read from a script, insisting there was no alternative. I suggested a logical solution to the matter and that was to pro-rate the bill, after all, I did use the service for three days. However, she reiterated I would be billed for the entire billing cycle as she read from the same script, word for word.I knew further conversation would fall on deaf ears, so I asked for a supervisor, to which she replied “yes, you may speak to a supervisor but he will tell you the same thing”. After 10 minutes on hold, a supervisor named John answered the phone. He had been briefed by the agent as to why I asked to speak with him. To my continued disappointment, he read from the same script as the agent and didn’t waver as he read, “that is our policy” again and again as I tried to interject some semblance of rationalism. Needless to say, I was more perturbed at this point and asked to speak to a manager. I was informed the manager was not on duty at the time and that “he will tell you the same thing”, but I persisted and the same reply was repeated another three times before I insisted the manager call me back when he/she was on duty. Needless to say, I never received a call from any Spectrum representative.I then sent an email to their Customer Service department only to be told the exact same thing. This is no way to treat your customers. I had been happy with the service and would have eventually gone back to Spectrum, but after this experience, I will be looking elsewhere for service in the future. Ironically, at the end of the call the agent said we appreciate your business, and I said, No, I dont think you do appreciate my business!Your unfair policy of not pro-rating your bills is appalling! Ive read some of the reviews about Spectrum and there are many others that express the same views on this policy as I do. I could understand if the new policy was meant for new customers, but it was not in effect when I started my service, so I should have been grandfathered in the original TOS, and not to have new changing terms imposed on me in the middle of my service.Is this how your company treats their customers? They are extra friendly when they know you are going to sign up for service, and they are very pleasant when you have to call for technical service, too, so I expected the same customer-first service I was used to when I called to cancel my service, but instead I felt like I no longer mattered now that I would no longer be a customer.I am not asking for anything other than a fair and equitable agreement. I am more than willing to pay for the service I used and will agree to a pro-rated bill.

We had Time Warner for years (and now Spectrum). The service has always been very reliable (phone, Internet and TV), but they continue to raise their rates. Our bill jumped $10 in October due to a rate increase, then our promo ended in November, so our bill jumped an ADDITIONAL $20.I called them to see about other promos and of course, there are none. To top it all off, they told me some other promo we have now will be ending in December 2020, so our rates will jump another $25, putting us at $200 for phone, Internet and TV. Ridiculous!. This is exactly why we need competition. They have ZERO incentive to reduce their rates. I have no real alternative. Frontier only offers maybe 15 Mb for Internet. Were hoping we see Google Fiber or 5G soon so we can drop Spectrum for good.

I would go as far as to say that this is the worst isp I have ever used.The representatives are sometimes helpful but most of them are not informed on what they are trying to up sell.I have had connectivity issues as well as internet speed issue due to multiple reasons. At times, it is the modem and at times it is simply due to it not being a dedicated line per unit.As far as pricing goes, they will give you an amazing deal to signup and will lock you in for two years where the price will sky rocket on year 2. After that they will not give you good prices until you call the department that handles customers that are wanting to terminate services. If you are willing to give good pricing to customers when they are about to terminate, you should be able to work with the customers to give good services at reasonable prices.I have been lied to by representatives at Spectrum many times and I have had to bare the brunt since the company does not hold them selves accountable for anything they do.I will avoid this company as much as I can, unless I have no option.If ATT is able to give 1000 upload and download for 79, you should not as customers to pay the same price for 10 upload and 200 download on a shared line. That’s ridiculous. Lastly, I was lied to by the representatives at Spectrum that ATT is unable to provide those speeds I mentioned. If I was not aware of technology and what is possible, I would have believed those lies and not switched. If they are willing to lie about the speeds and services to me I am sure they would do it to many unsuspecting customers without IT background.

I have been a customer for a little over 2 years now. I switched from another company. I have the triple package. I have had the worst customer service from spectrum ever!!! I had had to return one of the boxes twice, sit on the phone with a rep while they tried to walk me thru fixing the problem. This happened several times. I then asked for a tech to come out and check the line. By now am sick and tried of being sick and tire. The tech came out and found that the piece in the wall was defective!!!!! So for a little over two years, Spectrum had me running around like my head was cut off. Basically working for FREE!!!!! When I call and requested 6 months of free service, based on what I pay per month, and the fact that the reps had no idea what the real problem was, so they used me to do their job. Again, working for FREE!!! So I called again, no one has come out!!! to check the other outlets, no one returns my calls, but they want to get paid!!!!!! Where is the customer service here!!!!1 month later, an they still havent done anything!!!!! This is horrible!!!! Maybe I should just file my complaint with the CFPB and or the FTC!

See Update Below: 6.3.2020I am a 3 month customer of Spectrum internet service. We purchased the fastest internet wifi package available. Supposedly 1200 mbps. I was assured the wireless internet would cover the entire area of my home. I have 2 areas that barely receive wireless connection. I have communicated with Spectrum support. The Spectrum customer support is terrible. The phone representative hung up on me & did not call back. The technician that initially set up my internet wasnt bad, but service after that went down hill.Update 6.3.2020.Spectrum dispatched a serviceman out to take a look at my wireless internet service. The serviceman was great but & I now get better connection to the 2 areas but slow. I would give them a higher rating but the terrible phone customer service must improve.

Among other issues, I have been in collections for $155 for about two years. Each time the debt transfers, my credit takes another hit. I owe them nothing. I changed services and my account number changed from x-801 to x-802. Now I am in collections for the inactive x-801 account (x-802 always current).Most recently, they replaced a buried cable (not at my request). I told TWO techs face to face exactly where the irrigation line is buried and painted the line. It was not added to the notes and the burier cut it anyway. My lawn is now dead for lack of water, and I am highly doubtful I will be reimbursed for my time and cost of fixing THEIR mistake.Plus your rates will go up without notice.Absolutely garbage company and exactly what you would expect from a monopoly. If you have ANY OTHER CHOICE of ISPs, dont hesitate to take it. Spectrum sucks.

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They know beyond a shadow of a doubt I was without service as proven by their own technical support person for 15 days and they only want to give me partial credit that doesnt even comply to their own rules. When I asked to speak to the next level management they tell me that noone else will speak to me that I am at the highest level of customer facing management. So they make their low level management with NO authority pass the news of poor decisions on to their customer. I was promised a credit and I got about 1/3 of the credit their agent told me. Per the manager, Tiyara, operator# P8Q, they denied the credit even though their agent said NOTHING about the need for the credit promised/communicated needing to be approved. Their agent represents them and therefore they owe me the credit he communicated to me in FULL.

Time Warner/Spectrum/Charter - whatever they call themselves; is the largest, fraudulent thieves I have ever witnessed.We purchased the bundle of cable TV, home phone, and internet then added in their Intelligent Home service in 2016. The initial hardware costs for the Intelligent Home was $199.00 down and $500.00 paid over 2 or 3 months then the monthly fee and a 2 year service agreement/contract. We were told the equipment we owned.All charged for these 4 services cost us close to $200.00 per month.Then the real problems started... Internet down more than up, cable TV would go out, etc. We had this company representatives to our home so much it started to feel like this company lived in our home.Year 2017 came and problems continued, actually picked up with frequency and this company started raising the monthly fees every 3 months.Finally, in 2018 - we had had enough and cancelled everything in November 2018, all of this companys equipment returned to them.Then this company sent a bill to us for unreturned equipment of more than $325.00, sent us emails and people to our home for the equipment. We have tried to get this company to correct their errors and it continues to get worse.Highly recommend NEVER obtain service from Time Warner/Spectrum/Charter/Bright House (all the same company). It is far better to obtain a different provider, no matter the cost.1 star rating is still too high- this company needs to be closed down

If I could give less stars I would. My wife teaches over the internet, so having spectrum is the worst. When the internet drops mid class, instead of the students paying, the teacher pays. At the point spectrum is costing us money. The internet drops whenever it wants to. I’ve had a tech out on two separate occasions to fix the issue. Both times replacing the router. Today is the third time and I am now dropping the service. When I called they said they only had a record of a month prior. When I told them when they were out before that and told them when, they suddenly remember.When I called in the representatives I was talking to would keep passing me around because 1. They don’t want to handle someone with complaints 2. They don’t want to take responsibility 3. Id they can’t get more money out of you they don’t really care.The service I’ve received really explains why bigger companies hat dwarf spectrum. Don’t use this service unless you want someone to steal your money

Terrible I hate spectrum!! They are ALWAYS making mistakes, and then you have to pay for their mistake by waiting on VERY long wait times to speak with some one to get things resolved. Each call to them for even the smallest issue takes at least 30 minutes. I had to go into the store twice because they gave me the wrong power cord for my box, and I ended up waiting 30 mins with a bunch of other people who also had been given the wrong equipment. Eventually I traded cords with another customer and left, only to get home and find out that I had been given a DVR box instead of a cable box. This company is a greedy company, and seems to have monopolized the cable industry in this area, so there are very few cable options besides spectrum if you want cable. There are some serious usability issues with there service, because they are so focused on making money that they don’t care about their customers being satisfied. Also they don’t have a place to file formal complaints. Don’t get their service!!

Spectrum has a virtual monopoly in the Charlotte area, and so they can charge whatever they like and they know that. I get only internet service from them, and they are charging me $69.99 per month for only that. As soon as any alternative becomes available, I will cut their service as quickly as I can. If they cared about their customers in the least, they would be more responsive to the level of ratings you will see on this site. Also, since it was made illegal to force customers to use a particular router, they no longer charge for the router separately, but incorporate that charge into the bill. This accomplishes the same thing for them that the law was passed to prevent. I urge everyone to write to your state Congressman to try to force them to stop these predatory prices and practices.

For the last 8 months my internet service with spectrum has been extremely terrible. I have never seen a business more incompetent than spectrum. For the last 2 months I have called them every day and had technicians at my house every other day and still my problem hasnt been resolved. My modem reboots every 5-10 minutes which means I cant use my internet service. The technicians have already determined that it is the main line that is the problem and after numerous work orders the main lines still havent been fixed.

Super slow internet for prices that can be found lower at most other internet companies. When we canceled even though it was well before the end of our billing cycle and we weren’t locked into a contract they informed us that THEY DONT PRORATE which means that they still charged us for the whole month even though we used 9 days out of the month before disconnecting the service. Total rip off, and that policy I assure you is only in place to take your money. I know companies like this, they pretend they care about customer happiness but it’s all just money to them, they don’t care. Save yourself money and go somewhere else for your internet services.

During this work the water line to my house was damaged. i have documentation and requested that they pay the repair bill and my claim was denied. This company is unethical- do not deal with them. Worse company I, at 77, have ever deal with. If you want to test your patients to the extreme limits, try their service. I would not invest one dime in their stock or ever use their phone service: Terrible service, rude people, incompetent employees.

Didnt show up TWO DAYS IN A ROW after scheduling appointments to activate service at our house. TWO FULL DAYS wasted while waiting for them to arrive. They never called to apologize or let us know the tech would not be arriving as promised. Each time I had to call to follow up after the tech didnt arrive. Each time I called them, they said were noting the account...somebody will call you back to resolve this. Nobody ever calls back. Worst company EVER to deal with as a customer (or prospective customer). Had to select at least 1 star before this review would post...otherwise, theres NO WAY Id even give them 1 star!

Once Time Warner switched over to Spectrum it went downhill. They just bumped up my internet by $10 a month after promising me nothing was going to change price wise including their modem/router use. Woke up and found no internet. They informed me I would need to pay an additional amount to have use of their router and had an email sent to me stating that I authorized them to update the new charges. Thats a bunch of hogwash. I called several times but got nowhere. Then they called a day later and I asked for a manager to call me. They promised a return phone call within 15 minutes. Nope, never got a phone call or voicemail. Spectrum is a joke and absolutely strong arms its customers. Not right what so ever. If you have the choice of getting internet elsewhere that would be best. The cost is just like everybody else out there. There is no different having service with Spectrum except a headache. Terrible company!
