My husband and I lived in a Berryhill property for four years and we are so thankful for the home that it was for us. Berryhill Realty Co provided excellent service, quick and clear communication, kind customer service but also so much more! They provided a home full of memories, a neighborhood full of friends, and a place to raise our first child and grow together as a family. We are so thankful for the past four years at their managed property and for all the ways we were blessed by their service. I would definitely recommend this company and feel excited for the next person who finds their home through them.

I have been renting houses in the Charlotte area for 10+ years. Last year I decided to make a move and rent a house from Berryhill Realty. Poor decision on my part. I ended up having to put substantially more of a deposit down than expected, but I figured in the end I would receive it back if/when I moved. After paying for numerous improvements out of my own pocket both inside and outside (fencing, flooring and paint) a year later I decided to move into a better living situation. After lease termination and inspection, Berryhill decided to keep my deposit “because the improvements were not done with their knowledge” so they kept my deposit. They listed the house after I left for way more than I was renting it for as well. Maybe because of the improvements? Lesson learned on my behalf. Go there and rent if you must, just know that whatever you put down for a deposit is gone. They will find a way to pocket your money.

Finding a place to live thru Berryhill Realty Co. was a good choice to make. The process went very fast and smooth.And the people in the office are very nice and very helpful when you step in the office.

I rented a house through this company a long time ago. We took good care of the house (which was very old and not in great shape)and always paid the rent on timeWhen we moved out they tried to keep a ridiculous amount of our deposit for things they claimed we damaged which we didnt and were ridiculous. The only reason we got our money back was because I threatened to take them to court for illegally charging for things they never fixed. Let me add that I have even received letters thanking me from other places I rented throughout the years for being a great tenant, taking care of the property, and leaving it meticulously clean when moving out. Berryhill is extremely unethical!!!

I suppose I overlooked the reviews prior to wasting my time with their archaic viewing process (you have to drive to and from the property your interested to pick/return the key). Anyhow, I had a question for the property manager after my viewing from the moment to came over ATTITUDE. She had the “what do want face?” I introduced myself, no acknowledgment. Then in the middle of my question she cuts me off and says “No”. Hmmm ok, so I take a moment to keep my professional hat on since I’m in hospitality and again she cuts me off. Miserable people shouldn’t have client/customer facing jobs. The receptionist was a sweetheart but you could tell she was hesitant to call the manager for my question.... geee i wonder why! Thankfully I figured out before spending money here the property manager is RUDE!

Berryhill realty has managed my rental property for over 16 years. This has been a great experience with all the staff at Berryhill. They managed my property with great care, advice and respect.They are always on top of any issues that may arise and they are always taken care of immediately. To have long term tenets of 10+ years is a testament of how well and efficient Berryhill operates. I highly recommend Berryhill Realty to both property owners and tenets!!!

They had my deposit over week just to tell me I was denied anyway and they kept giving me the run around. They are very prejudice and asking my references personal questions that dont concern the property.

I rented through Berryhill for nearly 2 years and had a wonderful experience. Ronisha and the whole office staff were extremely responsive to any questions or needs. If I ever needed maintenance, they had someone there that day to make repairs. Overall, Id highly recommend renting through them!

Berryhill reality has honestly been the best experience ever. This was my first apartment that was only mine with no room mates, and they made every step easy and made sure i was informed. They have always been there when i needed to give them a call for something or had any questions. The knew me by a first name basis and were always incredibly welcoming and helpful. I honestly wish i could be taking them to my next place with me, but thankfully Ive bought my own home, so no more renting for me!I would highly suggest them to anyone looking for a wonderful company to rent from.

Attentive to our needs over about 2.5 years of renting a house through Berryhill. Never any payment issues and maintenance requests were addressed. They helped us out with a security deposit refund misunderstanding, too. Leigh and Ronisha do a great job.

They actual deserve zero stars. Over 17 years with this horrible company. Only because of my mom. They never came to fix things in timely manner. They charged me for leaving a dog house that had 2 fallen trees on it. The trees fell almost 3 yrs ago and they never came to get them. It was mold & mildew throughout the house. They didn’t care just said wipe it with cleaner. The upstairs bathroom flooded downstairs through kitchen 4 times through light fixtures and all. The issue was never fixed. I could go on for days & upload tons of pics. I’m just glad we’re gone. You can tell by the reviews the company is trash.

Just spoke with Kathy and she is was pleasant but laughed when I asked her what the qualifications were to move in as if I worked with her and knew the answer. Thats insulting. Still sitting here trying to figure out what was Kathy amused about.

The associate staffing the desk in their office was very friendly, pleasant, and wanted to help answer questions and make sure I wasn’t overlooking any available properties.I like that you can just check out your own key if you don’t have an agent.The application process is overly strict and rigid. You have to sign a lease/pay deposit at the time of application. I would argue that paying an application fee and agreeing to a credit check, etc. demonstrates enough skin in the game where folks don’t take it lightly. The process is all on paper, there is no electronic portal to process an app. I am sure they get tenants, but for me it was just too rigid for what I needed being someone relocating to the area.

They are always prompt returning calls and providing timely rent proceeds. Agent Aric Beals is the best, always being able to listen, to provide feedback, to communicate with the renter and to keep on top of things. I will definitely use Berryhill in the future! If this sounds like an advertisement for Berryhill, then so be it. A good company like this needs to be known to everyone!

They were very helpful and accommodating when I was looking for an apartment. After the credit check and application process, I had a small issue with which they were more than happy to help.Every time I have stopped by to pay my rent, they have been happy to help and make sure that everything in my apartment is still good.If I ever need to find another place to stay in Charlotte, Im going to call Berryhill first.

Ridiculously overcharged when our security deposit was returned. Charged us an astronomical security deposit of $1875 then took 800 for some ridiculous things. Just an example, the microwave handle broke off (a microwave that’s been there since the kitchen was remodeled 20 years ago-the neighbor that helped remodel the house told me this) After the handle broke you could tell that it had already been super glued back on at least once before. They charged us $200 for this broken handle. I wonder how many past tenants they’ve charged for this broken handle that already had super glue all over it. Also I’m pretty sure you can get a brand new microwave for much less that $200. Anyways, the backyard is fenced in and the fence latch is broken. My roommate and I have 2 dogs and asked if it could possibly be fixed before we move in. Their response was it’s not their problem. So we lived there for 2 years rigging it closed with bungee chords. The company was completely unfair with our security deposit and I hope this review deters some others from having to deal with this company.

I didnt have a great experience with this company...We rented sight unseen because we moved from out of state and the photos they had of the house were not what the house looked like when we got the keys.. They do try to fix things quickly when there are maintenance issues but the companies they go through for service are terrible.

I was about to call & apply but I’m so displeased at the reviews. Like wow 10+ people said they’re racist. TBH I believed the first person. According to their website you have to pay the security deposit at time of application. Refunded or not this is very displeasing. They clearly just want to slow your process down with other properties & guarantee their money. Believe me if someone pays $45 for an app fee that’s commitment. When they start putting customers 1st I can see them being more attractive in the market. Thanks for the reviews because I’ve completely changed my mind & will spread the word.

This rental Company is money hungry!!!! My fiance has been living in a property for over 3 years and the rent has NEVER been late and has always been made on time. The neighbors tree fell over into the yard when Hurricane Michael came and we had to harass them for 2 months before they did anything about it. A hanging gutter in the front yard was reported in November of 2018 and has yet to be fixed which caused him to start looking for other living arrangements. When you pay almost $900 in rent you dont want to live in a home that looks like a dungeon!!! We submitted a request for verification of rent and they said it will be $45. Wow Berryhill, you guys sure have high class cost for low budget rental properties!!!

Ineligible to rent because I chose a promotion at a different job within the same industry that happened in the last 6 months. No gap in employement and proof of income from the job before & that means nothing. 🤦🏽

Worst realty place I have ever been to. Came from out of state to see a home and called to let them know we were coming to return the key in 10 minutes she said no problem we will be here. We get there and the vehicles were still there but nobody answered the door or the phone. Due to this we had to stay an extra night so we could return the key. The next day I told them how displeased I was with their service and how we had to stay an extra day due to them and all they had to say was huh and no apology at all. I will never rent from them or recommend this company. Awful customer service!

This company is awful. They make little to no effort to keep up their properties. They are incredibly unprofessional and extremely rude to their tenants. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone i know, ever.

Berryhill Realty is very responsive to all questions and issues I have. I have rented from them for one year, and they have quickly repaired everything I reported.

In my experience with this company its was all smooth, they would always work something out f aometimes i didnt have my rent on time, they were nice over the phone, and if I could always just drop off the rent check on their mailbox if I came after they closed. The only thing I didnt like is the manteinance guy back then (2014) i change my locks because he seemed untrustable, (since he has access to any unit he could come anytime he wanted), he told on me to the office but they didnt mind lol. My application process was very easy amd I gpt approved within 2 days, (this was my first rental property).

Awful management company very unprofessional...properties are under kept...I have lived next to prostitues and drug addicts thanks to these people

I just moved in and needed to wash clothes and this piece of junk washer included in the unit is leaking water everywhere! Water is coming out of the vents downstairs!!! The dryer doesnt work at all!!! I guessing my year lease will be a year of absolute HELL!!!
