I will not be returning to this location. The employees were not helpful and they seemed to be annoyed for you asking questions or needing help. It was one male employee that was helpful and tried to explain the situation. The inventory was not available but online it says available. I understand if you dont have the product but dont act annoyed if I ask you to check to see

I really really wish that I could post the rating lower than one star ..it never fails with this particular location and one might ask why do you continue to shop there ? well I happen to own a business for balloons myself and a lot of times getting to my normal vendor is not an option seeing as they are out of town and this is actually the closest to me when I am prepping for an event ..three days ago I visited to the store and I could not place a review because there was no receipt available ..i actually I left the store with a “hand written receipt”… and when I asked the manager what I could do in the event that something was wrong with my order he said it there’s nothing we can do the machine Will not print your receipt there’s nothing we can do any left it in that didn’t try to go above and beyond or at least try to write out the receipt the actual customer representative in the counter wrote out the receipt he walked away… placed an order this past Friday for some balloons at 11:01 AM and let them know that I would be returning at 6: 30 p.m. to pick up the balloons to take to the venue when I arrive to pick up the balloons they had not even been blown …and they couldn’t be found ..!!after about 30 minutes in the store the balloons were just being simply replaced by the manager on duty one of the customer service representative young ladies seemed very annoyed that she was even being asked where the balloons … why the order had not been fulfilled is crazy …every single time I shop at the store it never fails there’s always a bad experience literally every single time ..this being the worst yet.. when I place the order and the time of pick up I could not believe that my balloons still hadn’t been blown and to add insult to injury the balloons couldn’t even be found while the manager attempted to just blow another set of balloons ..the balloons were finally found they were placed into another bin and they weren’t even scheduled to be blown until the very next day ..incredible ..the store never has the inventory that’s displayed why do you have it displayed on the wall if it’s not available the amount for any particular item given online as opposed to what’s available in the store is never correct … One of the balloons that I ordered it was said online there was 147 in stock when I ordered them at the store there were 2 available …I just don’t know what to say any further or how much worse my reviews could get for this location I really don’t.. and seeing other reviews about the terrible customer service or unavailable stock up or whatever else I just makes me wonder how much longer this location will stay open will these things just continue is anyone in corporate paying attention it just is worrisome and bothersome and thrive for excellent customer service in my business there were customers in line I was up Repeatedly apologizing to because they were all standing there waiting while my order was being taken care of and this whole dilemma was holding up everyone in line …that many people on a busy Friday night and they were only two people working upfront one of which was trying to help me she had to leave the counter just to get The manager on duty who was very helpful and helped me and profusely apologized over and over and I accepted it I just wish that this wasn’t a constant thing at this location I really really do but I have an overwhelming feeling this won’t be the last of my not so good reviews for partycity Northlake in Charlotte North Carolina… I deserve a completely full refund I doubt that that will happen probably just get offered what is normally offered ..five dollars off the next horrible visit ..!

Will never order online for pick up in this location again. Placed a balloon order for my daughters 1st birthday and after getting the email saying it was ready, I went to pick up the order and an hour of waiting in line it still wasnt ready... Had to go to another location and wait an additional 1.5hrs before getting balloons (had to buy them all over again) and almost missed the party. Now Im having a hard time simply getting a refund for the order I placed and didnt get.

I just had one of the best customer service experiences to date. I never write reviews but had to brag on what happened today. Not one but TWO employees at this location provided A+ customer service and seriously went above and beyond. I sent in a online order to be delivered the next day because my son’s daycare told me about an Easter egg hunt last minute and asked us to come with 20 stuffed eggs for him to participate. One of the items I ordered went out of stock so one employee called, left a detailed message about the situation. I called back and he walked me through similar items in stock and made a switch for me, taking into consideration price and the fact I needed something small enough to stuff in a plastic Easter egg 🙃. He was so kind and accommodating. Secondly, I got another call later in the day from another employee explaining they didn’t have as many delivery drivers as they thought. He asked if it was critical that I received the items today and I explained it was due to avoid egg-gate (or eggless-gate). HE CALLED AN UBER TO DELIVER MY ITEMS. My jaw dropped and here I am writing this review. These guys made a busy working mother’s life so much easier today and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Wish I had their names but if reading, they know who they are. Thank you so much!!

I’m literally standing in this store as I type this. These are probably some of the best workers I have ever seen. The store is very crowded and there are only 3 staff here. The manager has been patient and kind with everyone in the store despite the chaos. He thanked his workers for their help, allowed them to stop and breathe when they needed it and helped them with whatever they needed. Even though the store had to make concessions due to being short staffed, they all handled it with grace and most importantly a smile! 5/14 at 7pm

This facility is absolutely filthy! There were candy wrappers, open lollipops, and trash littering the floor and shelves. The aisles were obstacle courses filled with haphazardly stacked boxes. Objects were mishelved and out of place. The floor was sticky. I waited in two different lines to be told it would take 45 minutes to fill balloons. Next time I will know to order ahead online and spend as little time as possible in this space. The customer service was great, but it didnt make up for the unorganized, unsightly space.Edited: I spent $15 for helium filled yellow balloons. I bought them less than 24 hours in advance. When I woke up the next day (party day) all the balloons were on the ground!!

I visited this location twice with a friend and got the same rude service both times. First time was around Valentine’s Day and we waited in line for 30 minutes to get some birthday balloons. They were so unorganized with there orders that they just decided at that moment to stop taking orders for the people that were already waiting. The second and last time I’ll ever visit this location we had rude encounters with staff around the store and at the register. Please try not to go here unless you want to get frustrated or get terrible service :)

The store is fine. Theres no issues. But that parking is nonsensical. The parking is not where you think it is. The parking is in the back where there are more spaces but the the shopping center is built in such a way where there is an obvious display as to where the front should be. Aside from that, there is no problem.

Came to pick something up that was listed as in stock online. Store was a complete wreck. Employee was clueless, tried to tell me it was an online only item. When I showed it to her as having 18 in stock in the store she said the system doesnt update properly and has no idea what is actually in stock. Pretty sure if she actually looked, or if they organized anything, then they would have found it. Avoid this store.

The customer service at Party City in North Lake was horrible. We asked for one balloon & were told we could not get any balloons until after 4 pmHowever Guy the manager in the store was blowing up 10 balloons for a lady that had just purchased them ahead of us in line. We did not want a bouquet of balloons just one ballon but could not get it because he was to busy popping old balloons & socializing. The young lady that checked us out was even confused as to why we could not get one ballon blown up.

I placed an order online for some Halloween goodies to give to the kiddos at my sons daycare who are too young for candy. I specifically chose this location because it said that they had both things I wanted in stock even though it wasn’t the closest. I prepaid for it all online and went to pick it up the next day. When I got there they informed me that they had nothing I had ordered (and PAID for) in stock. I never got a phone call or email telling me my order was unable to be fulfilled. I received a refund but it’s extremely frustrating to drive all the way out to a store only to be informed of something that could have easily been taken care of over the phone, especially since there was a full day in between the time I placed my order and came to pick it up.

I pulled up before 8 and tried to come in the wrong side on accident, they saw me trying to come in the wrong door. When I realized I pulled around and walked up to the correct door, it’s 8:01, they wouldn’t allow me to come in and grab plates even though I knew exactly what I needed and they still had shoppers. They could’ve let me grab what I needed after driving all the way there rushing in the rain after a long work day. I probably would’ve been quicker than the others they were waiting on. It was rude and the lady working could’ve had compassion and chose not to. I won’t be back here.

This location no longer accepts balloon orders over the phone. Other Party City locations do, so not sure why this one makes you come in to order balloons. Youll end up ordering and stand around waiting for 30 minutes while they inflate them. Ill shop elsewhere.

Went to this store on saturday night (11/24/18) for balloons. The store was an absolute disaster. The two girl working were very friendly and attentive. However, the place looked tore up! Empty boxes everywhere, even blocking the emergency exit. Tons of empty shelves. Good thing we only needed balloons!

Received a welcome when I walked in, but sounded very dry and robotic. Store floor very dirty, line long with 3 ppl working up front. One blowing up balloons, One doing nothing and One working the register (Ms. Dry & Robotic). Ohhh and the manager standing in the back with his hands on his hips. Did not receive good service, was not offered a bag and basically was thrown the receipt to get out. Pitiful!

They are always really friendly and helpful at this Party City. I had one employee actually go through a box they just got in to see if they had gotten something back in stock I was looking for. No matter how slammed they are, I have never had anyone be short or rude with me, in fact, theyve always been super patient. I always go out of my way to go there for party supplies even though I hate going anywhere near the mall! :)

TERRIBLE. Offers same day delivery but doesnt happen. Then blame the delivery company. The manager, Brian, could care less. I ordered decorations for my sons birthday to be delivered friday evening. They even called me in the afternoon to say they were out of one item but would be delivering the rest soon. NEVER SHOWED UP. I went down there the next day when they first opened (same day as party) and Brian argued with me saying that the freight delivery company never came and the delivery company should have notified me. They didnt, however I feel it was Party Citys responsibility to keep me informed. Brian wouldnt give me the decorations while i was there insisting they were on their way to be delivered at the moment. Got home an hour before the party was to start and still no decorations. They finally came thirty minutes before the party. I paid 10 dollars in shipping, and was not compensated at all. I will do my party buying elsewhere from now on. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Stock is totally random, staff is horribly inefficient, and unable to maintain proper manning, as well as single focused. Had a staff member trying to get someone else to cover the register instead of just checking people out, as there was one person on the phone, and about 7 in line.And 4 staff in the back stocking. At 3pm. The guy up front called multiple times for help, but every time it was My customer is on the phone, and there is a line that I dont want to walk away from. If he had been calling for support WHILE checking people out, it would have gone much faster.

Was not able to find exactly what I wanted from this location, but grear overall inventory to choose from.Management here was very thorough and helpful. The cashier this past week was a sweetheart as well (I wish I caught her name so I could recognize her in the survey after my experience).Make sure to do the survey mentioned on the receipt and give your email address in order to get a good coupon if you are a regular at Party City or have an event in the making in the near future.This will definitely not be my last visir here, hope to go back soon.

So I went to the store last night looking for a couple items. When I was walking around the store it was full of boxes and very cluttered. One item I needed was not on the shelf. I figured it was in one of the many boxes sitting around. So at the register I asked the lady if they had the item I was looking for and she said yes but it could be in the boxes. I asked her when would everything be out of the boxes by and she told me by the end of the year. I needed this item by Saturday. I asked her if I placed the order online would I be able to pick my item up before Saturday and she just flat out told me no. Lazy employees that couldnt help a customer out. They should have to look in the boxes for what I needed. Management should schedule hours for the employees to stay when the store closes to get everything out of the boxes. That was just so rude! I ended up calling the Concord store and they have what I was looking for and put it on hold for me!

I visited this store today, and I was in total dismay and shock at the appearance of this store. The store is actually a safety hazard to the customers. There were stacks and stacks boxes of stock that needed to be either emptied and placed on the empty shelves or placed in the stock room. You could not get to certain areas of the store due to these stacks.The shelves were empty. They had a disarray of holiday items strone everywhere; holidays ranging from Halloween to Valentines Day! I shop in this store frequently and have never seen it in this type of mess. When I spoke to the manager (or so call manager) she stated it was because 1person called out and no one wants to help out. You can’t place the mess I saw on one person.To be honest I feared for my safety in this store with the stacks of boxes. Someone fromCorporate needs to make a visit to this location.

Ordered three sets of 15-count balloons online but when I picked up my order and delivered to the location, those setting up realized the order only contained three sets of 10-count balloons. We were missing 5 balloons from each set. I called the store and after being on hold more than 8 minutes, I spoke to Kate (Mgr) who told me I needed to drive the 27 minutes back to the store for a refund for the missing balloons or to pick up additional balloons. The event had already started so neither of these were an option. Not what I expected for a mistake they made or for the cost of balloons that started to deflate before the event was over. #UnresolvedComplaint

Definitely one of worst party cities in Charlotte. There are cardboard boxes everywhere, but yet a really limited selection, nothing is organized, the prices are nowhere to be found, and the staff is rude. I literally stood in line for 5 minutes while the ONLY cashier played around on her phone and when I asked hey are you open, Ive been waiting she was super rude and just motioned me to her register.

Stopped by one evening to look for some Christmas decorations. It was late but the store was a mess, walls were bare and boxes where all over the place. I looked at Halloween stuff too, just for fun. When asked how much it was, I was told it was regular price... didnt expect Halloween stuff that was thrown in boxes on a table to be regular price in December. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day.... but wow was this a retail disaster.
