Found this spot while in the city. Always clean, courteous, and on time. Love my nail tech, Tina. A gentleman has also done my nails and did an excellent job. I really have enjoyed the service here.

Went for a birthday sns manicure with tips. I showed the manager two photos of what I would like and she assured me she could do the white nail design I requested. I questioned whether she could and that it would be quite alright to go with the other photo if she had any doubt. Again, I was reassured that they could and that they would take care of me. At the very end of my nail service, she is finishing up and proceeds to tell me no one in the salon knows how to do that design and what other design did I want to go with. This enraged me as I would have chosen the other design had she been honest! Infuriated I tell her how disappointed I am and still was charged full amount. The nails were subpar - Way too thick and bubbly, not smooth, and they all ended up lifting within a week! She ended up filing my pinky natural nail too thin and caused it to painfully crack. Definitely will not return as honestly and quality are two things I cannot go without.

I called ahead to make sure there was availability and asked how long the wait would be so I could plan accordingly. I was told on the phone Not a problem come in now and we will seat you. See you soon. After I arrived and sat down to wait I was told twice that I would be helped soon. Three other people who walked in after me were helped before me. I was finally seated but no one spoke to me or came over to my station for another 15 minutes. Ended up walking out without any service because it had been over an hour. Wish I could have gotten my time back, it was my one day off during the week. I probably would have enjoyed my service if they had just been honest about timing/availability!

Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Relaxing w/ waterfall sound and music. They even do kids mani pedis and have pint size chairs! The color selection is great. The parking is horrible.

My friend and I called an hour before closing to ask if they had availability for two pedicures and they said yes. They were kind to let us in so late. However, the lady that did my toes ended up cutting a whole corner of my nail off and it was extremely painful. Also, the woman who did my friends toes didnt even paint the tops and while we ordered the same service we got different things. They were very nice but I did.not have a good experience and will not return..

I used to go to this nail salon all the time and never had a problem my nails always came out great. I moved away and recently wanted to come back because I always loved it. I won’t be coming back the nail shape was good but the design was not at all what I asked for and then I asked for a flower and it looked like a 5 year old could have done better it was literally 4 dots on my finger not even connected just horrible . I just had a friend go in there and the same exact lady did the same thing! She’s great with the shape but the design just is not there. So I had to go pay somewhere else to get the color redone and a little bit of a shape redone. Because one finger she put on sideways.

I came to Urban Nail Bar while I was visiting Charlotte on vacation. Right as I walked in, I thought the place was very elegant and clean. I was seated right away for my pedicure and was offered a complimentary glass of wine. I thought the entire experience was great. The nail tech did a great job of massaging and exfoliating my legs, and I am very happy with how my nails looked. I will definitely return to Urban Nail Bar during my next visit to the city.

I did not plan on leaving a negative review I was just going to take my losses but I got my nails done late Sunday afternoon & 1 nail is already broken. I showed an inspiration photo and nails turned out nothing like the photo. SNS was way too thick. The woman who was doing my nails was very distracted and kept leaving to take payments. I guess see got frustrated when my nails were 80% done because weren’t looking good and it was obvious... some guy took over to try to improve but it was too late + he was very rough with my nails. I did not enjoy it. 1 star because They do serve wine. I paid $60 plus tip for these nails I do not like at all.

I came in before 5 people today and had been told to wait wait wait, until I got very upset. I came in with my 7 year old daughter and had been just pushed to the back of the line. This lady kept on sitting everybody else that would come in after me on to the pedicure stations, turn their water on and since I kept on staring at her, she would just look at me and said just a second, I’ll get your station ready. So, I left didn’t say nothing to her and just cry my anger out in the car. I only wanted a nice day with my daughter since she was so excited she’ll finally get her nails painted at a salon. No those people did not have apt, because one of them ask how long it’ll take, then the others would come in and sign in and sit.

DO NOT GO HERE !Discriminatory !I felt very discriminated against during my visit at this salon. I came in for an SNS manicure along with a gel pedicure. When I requested additional services to my pedicure I was told NO because she was busy. The nail tech kept looking over her shoulder trying to tend to the white patrons, pleading with them not to leave. I then pointed out to her that you could see a lot of imperfections in my polish and asked her if she could fix it. (as it was white so you have to take your time with it .) She then very loudly smacked her teeth and roughly removed the polish and did it over both quick and sloppy. I was then asked to move to the table for my nail treatment. That’s right no oil, no massage, and no lotion. I then sat there for over an hour unattended watching numerous white customers be served ahead of me. Both my friend and I would periodically ask if someone was coming for me. After a 4 hour visit I was almost finished when they stopped my SNS and asked me to pay right then. Considering your nails are not wet after this service this has never been a normal practice that I have ever experienced. I paid and looked around to notice that me and 2 other black women were the only ones left in the salon bc we were waited on last despite our arrival time.The quality of work itself was mediocre and the service was absolutely horrible and left me feeling very unwelcome and unappreciated. Cost of service was $95 plus tip and all the patience in the world

I always come here for my full sets, fill ins, pedicures, and eyebrow waxes. My favorite tech is Ivy when it comes to my nails and eyebrows. She makes sure that my nails are exactly the way I want them to be - I usually have other people work on my pedis but Ivy is truly amazing . She even did my birthday nails back in January and I received so many compliments. This is one salon you can’t pass up in the Plaza Midwood area!

My daughter started going here a few months ago and her nails have never looked better, her manicurist Ivy does a great job. Today she took me there and I got the best pedicure I have ever had by Natalie. Natalie was so thorough, took her time and gave me the best foot/leg massage I have ever had. Went to get a pedicure and sns/dip and it took 4hrs and some change. The lady was drilling my cuticules and made them bleed. She also didnt know what she was doing with the SNS. It was on my skin and my nails were miss shaped. Had to have another lady correct it and it was better but im not going back. Ive been getting SNS for 2yrs consistently and never had this problem

I just love this nail salon. Ivy does a fantastic job on my nails, and believe me I am very particular about my manicures. I recently gotten a pedicure, and it was the best pedicure I’ve ever had. She takes her time, and I never feel rushed. I highly recommend this Nail salon!

This is HANDS DOWN the best nail salon in Charlotte. everyone is so so nice, welcoming, and amazing at what they do. it’s also super affordable for what i’ve found in the area — i always go to Thao and get dip with tips for $45, she is incredible and they come out perfect everytime. please support this business and the people!

The most horrible pedicure ..very unprofessional and terrible custom service ..I would not recommend this to anyone.

I sincerely did not have a great experience. To preface, this was my first time here and it got a little busy after I got there so I can understand the need to rush things and attend others, but what I don’t appreciate is when the rushing effects the quality of work being done...I was being attended by the owner, and a customer and her daughter that came after me a while later, who I’m pretty sure were one of her friends or one of her loyal clients, because once she came in the owner started to rush though my manicure making it blatantly clear that they were her priority now. I asked that my nails be trimmed short, but she just ignored what I said and rushed through filing them and cutting off my cuticles, which she did not do a good job at doing. She then passed me off to another technician, so she could attend her loyal customer and daughter, and the new technician rushed through putting on the gel polish and did not do a good job as well. Granted, more people had been trickling in so they were getting busy, but again I don’t believe that should effect the quality of work. I just paid $35 plus tip for a gel manicure and I am not at all happy having paid that amount for this service.From what I know, this nail salon just opened in the area and from a business standpoint they should focus on building their rapport with new clients instead of the client base they already have.

This place is NICE! An I mean the customer service the look location it has everything. The techs are kind an do great work. This is definitely my new nail shop. I’ve also taken my daughter an she likes it no wait an reasonably priced.

I never get my nails done and the one time I chose to spoil myself I ended up with nail fungus. Now Im dealing with that. They must not clean their equipment/tools properly.

Wow!! John did so amazing on my nails, I am so impressed!! I moved here two days ago and a friend recommended urban nails bar, I didn’t read reviews or anything I just went with it and I am so glad I did! I can honestly say this is the best I’ve ever seen on my nails. The pricing isn’t bad either!! So grateful to John for having taken his time and really doing amazing work!! Five stars!

I went in yesterday after being so heartbroken with getting my feet done at another place and being left looking exactly like they did when I walked in. I wanted my nails done but didnt feel I wanted to do them at the first place, I got John and Im so so so happy that I did! His vibe is on point! I had to leave in the middle of it due to emergency but he cleaned my nails up beautifully and we made an appointment for today! So excited to go back! Thank you John!! I needed a pick me up and you offered it!

The one women was aggressive and rude! I got my nails soaked off and wanted a full set. I didn’t like the vibe and how aggressively she was handling my hands. I also had sore nails from breaking and she poured acetone straight on my nail. Lol I was in pain and told her I’ll pay for the soak but I didn’t want her to finish..

I love Urban nails bar. I always get amazing dip powder manicures by Thao. She also does the most amazing herbal pedicures with hot stone massage. The salon is within walking distance One305Central Apartments in Plaza Midwood. I take in ideas and she does a beautiful manicure everytime. The salon is clean and friendly ans following the latest safety guidelines. I can always get a last minute appointment. They have other manicure and waxing servicea also. Definitely recommend them.

Great customer service but, I feel my nails shouldnt need a filling and its not even two weeks yet

I was horrified when the lady was doing my nails. First, she had two appointments at the same time ( I made mine a day prior) and she was rushing to do my nails and it took her like 20 minutes when it usually takes about 45 in a normal place. This lady didn’t understand what I was saying to her, was always distracted by others. Second, in the whole world they first clip(actually no one clips anymore) and file nails and check if the length and form is the same on both hands, here she rushed and put my hands in water then she cut cuticle and I am pretty sure that they use the same cuticle nipper for everyone without sanitizing it. She didn’t open the nippers in front of me she just took already opened... so I was worrying also about the infections... i showed her my nails and said that they were not even. Then she put a nail polish and I thought that my 6-year old nephew could do a better job. the price was not high but for this work I wouldn’t give even a dollar... aren’t they supposed to have certificates or trainings there?

Thao was amazing. I have been looking for the right nail spa since moving from Washington DC. This spa gets 5 stars. Thao is beautiful, kind and professional. She even stayed late for me.

They are very nice and professional. Its so relaxing they play soft music and each tech welcomes you to their shop. They did a great job and I have to say its the best nail salon I been to in nc.. Defiantly 5 stars very clean and great customer service💓

I rarely leave a bad review! But All my nails were filed slanted, I had to ask her to re-file them 3x. She missed so many spots when painting. Barely clipped my cuticles.. I will never come back here. Yikes! :(

I am so pleased I visited today! As someone who works in customer service I have little tolerance for less than good service. The staff is very friendly, anticipated my needs, and attended to me quickly. Jeanet did a great job with my dip manicure checking in with me throughout to make sure my nail shape and color were what I desired. I am so pleased and will consider this my new regular place!

First time trying this place. Very good experience. I have been dying to find a good place that does good pedicures. Most places charge you for a pedicure but it’s more of a polish change with water. This place actually took the time on my feet and made me feel great! The nail dip process was also great. The tech Carol took her time and confirmed multiple times it was what I wanted. I’ll define back!

Super quick. Even though I only had an hour for an S&S manicure and a pedicure, they took great care of me. I never felt rushed, even though I was the one with the tight schedule. My nails look great! And was pleasantly surprised by the price. Moved to Charlotte a few months ago and this is my new go-to.

They do alright work. It was my first time here and I signed up on the website to get $15 off towards my service. They wouldn’t let me apply it to the current purchase for some reason so I had to get a gift card with $15 credit. They spent 2 hours on my friends nails until they could finally get the color right that she wanted. Might as well sell this gift card because I won’t be back.

I got my toes done last weekend to find pain in a toe today to find an infection! Stay away from this place!!!!! NOT CLEAN NOT CLEAN NOT CLEANNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!

The place was very clean and the people do a great job! Even though there was a constant stream of people, no one waited very long to be cared for. I was very much at ease there and I would go again and recommend it to others!

I wish I could give 0 stars. I walked in, smiled, and said hello. I wasn’t acknowledged but the lady behind me was. Once I was finally helped 1 1/2 hours and 4 customers later I asked why wasn’t I being helped. Supposedly, only 2 people does overlay gel. No one told me this until an hour later. Had they paid attention to me and knew what exactly I wanted I would have been notified and gone somewhere else being that I was on a time crunch. I sit down and the tech didn’t have a clue what she was doing. Never again! Rude, incompetent, and unwelcoming

I had a wonderful experience at Urban Nail Bar! The atmosphere is very relaxing and positive. The ladies there are very sweet and helpful. It looks beautiful and clean inside and even has smaller spa chairs for kids. They also have these amazing scented pedicure bombs in different scents. I will for sure be going back soon.

This was the worst nail place ever. Do not go here. I got a pedicure and had to waited an hour to get them polished and never got them polished. I ended up just having to get up because I was tired of waiting. Also while I was waiting to get my toes polished they were polishing other people’s toes and pedicures that came in after me. I do not recommend this place. Do yourself a favor and just don’t go.

Great first experience at Urban Nails Bar! I will definitely be back. Very friendly staff, did a great job with the powder manicure & deluxe pedicure! Clean and pretty place with comfortable chairs. Also complimentary beverages (wine, soda) and they do a points program to earn discounts off future visits.

I was hesitant to write a review for Urban Nails because I wanted to ”keep the place to myself”. The staff is friendly, fast, and they pay attention to detail. Urban Nails offers everything from SNS to Acrylic. So many colors! The Herbal Pedicure with hot stones is worth every penny!

This is my favorite nail salon in Charlotte. First of all, it is very clean and decorated super chic. They have a million different colors to choose from in SNS. The staff is very nice and friendly and take their time when doing my nails. Also, you can accumulate points to use towards your next visit! The best part is it is 1 block away from my home! I would post the picture on here my mother spend 75 on a pedi the next day her damn toes are swollen to the point she couldnt walk her cuticles are pussed up and swollen they got some explaining and a refund to do!!!

I would 5/5 this place for every reason except for the time/wait. My nails look better here than at anywhere else Ive ever been, but it took 2.5hrs for an acrylic set and I even had an appointment. But maybe it was just a busy night so I will be back to try again!

I was visiting the area & was searching high & low to find a great nail salon to put SNS dip & tip on my nails. I arrived at exactly 9:30 & was greeted almost instantly. My nail tech was Edy. She offered complimentary wine to me, I chose Moscato, & it was WONDERFUL. My nails look beautiful also. We could not find the color I wanted, so Edy created it for me. I’m already planning my next stay in the area just to see her again.

I found my way here a couple of weeks ago when I showed up to my appointment at another spot and was informed that my regular tech was out sick and they had no acrylic techs in that day. That snafu was the best thing that ever happened! I have been so happy with my nail services here! Kiki does an amazing job on my nails, even with gel they are thin and natural looking! (I am picky as hell) Plus she pours a stellar mimosa!

If i could give them 0 stars i would because i was not impressed by the service they provided. I would come regularly before it went under new management. The manager or owner of Urban is all over the place. As she was doing my nails, she was worried about the person behind her. I went with a friend and she left me there with two coats of powder halfway done through my SNS to go work on someone else. She told me she would be a second and that besides the fact i was waiting for a friend since she was getting other services done. She was also not paying attention to detail to my nails. They had 2 people walk out on her due to taking too long to get to them. We also had previous points from when i would attend before new management and i asked her how much were our points worth, she told me $5 per 100 pts, i had 298 points, meaning i would get $10. NOPE, not what happened she said she didnt know how to subtract the points that she would give me $5 off. I also had a $15 voucher and she told me i could use it next visit. She charged my friend and i incorrectly because she was on the phone. The owner is not focused on providing great services, she is just worried about getting her money and thats it. I also think she overcharged me for SNS basic color with nothing on my nails. Usually SNS is $35 with nothing on your nails not $45. I tried giving this spot another try but i will not be going back.

I went to the nail shop after I called over the phone and asked could they take any clients the manager told me yes. I drove across town only to be greeted with racism. She told me to show up at 5:30, I arrived at 5:15 a young lady that came in after me got seated first and once the manager knew I was black she helped everyone but me and it was then after the appointment time. I had to a least put a star in order to leave a comment, but I wouldnt dare go there again. Unprofessional!!!!

My sisters went here and ended up getting the worst service experience ever. One of my sisters left with lumpy, and misshaped nails. She got the SNS and even asked ahead if they had chrome powder, after they finished her SNS nails they told her they didn’t have the chrome powder. My other sister simply wanted to polish her nails and ended up leaving with her polish because they were taking a really long time. Just save your time and money, don’t go.

Waited a whole hour and a half before they said anything to me, before they decided to tell me they didnt have anyone to do my nails. When confronted about the outrages wait time that they knew about the woman tried to brush it off like she was not in the wrong. Completely wasted my time there and will not be back again.
