Jeff and his son were amazing. They were friendly, on time and worked very quickly. Jeff worked with me to understand my needs and vision.They installed a very large french drain the length of my property to solve a draining issue and leveled a portion of my lawn and built a small retaining wall so I can install a playset as well as several other tasks. They stayed within the estimate even though they added a few extras which I thoroughly appreciated. I would definitely recommend them and use them for future projects I cannot handle on my own.

I needed some assistance with drainage and sprucing up my back yard, along my driveway and a planting bed in my front yard. I wasnt quite sure what would work or look best, but quickly realized when Jeff came for the estimate and to walk my property that I was in very capable hands. His recommendations and vision were exactly what I never knew I wanted or needed. His estimate was accurate and fair. He was able to start the job a day earlier than originally scheduled and completed the extensive work with absolute superiority and finished on the exact day he said he would. Jeff and his crew showed up on time everyday and worked diligently (frequently in high heat). Jeff consulted me each day on materials, design and was exceptionally careful with existing plantings. We had an overgrown area in the back of our property and Jeff came in and presented us with a plan to reinvent this area. It turned out fantastic and has really grown in nicely over the past year. We planted some trees this fall to complete the project. It is now a well used area of our property and very beautiful thanks to Jeff. Jeff and Jonah built block wall terraces in our front yard. They worked very hard, and kept at it from start to finish. Great team, excellent work and easy to work with.

We used Genesis to put in a dry creek bed where we have had years of drainage issues. Although they were so busy it took a few months to start the project, they actually started on the day they told me they would, and work extremely hard until the job was finished. They didnt even leave for lunch, using a delivery service in order to stay on the job site longer. They were very professional and cleaned up the job site after every day. Showed up on time, and were also respectful to the other neighbors in the area with where they would park their equipment or drop off supplies and products. I felt as if they took a lot of pride in their work, and didnt cut corners. They even seemed to go above and beyond in some areas that we talked about, providing more than we had hoped for. Although it hasnt rained hard yet, the new creek bed looks great, and we are very happy with the job they did and the outcome. In the future, when we look to add some plants and other things around the creek bed, we will call Jeff and Genesis once again in hopes of working with them.

Jeff Nye and his son do a fantastic job. I had drainage issues in my back yard and had Jeff out to look at the issues in November. He gave me his recommendations and I contacted him in January 2021 and said .. please come out and correct the issues. He and his son showed up a day early and finished the project today. My yard was a mess! It was extremely uneven, patchy, and we had a constant problem with a ton of standing water! Jeff came in and worked his magic in 1 day! He regraded and seeded the yard. Last night we had our first storm and we have no standing water! I would highly recommend Genesis Landscaping!

Contacted based on their positive reviews on Google to install French drains in our back and side yard. They ran multiple drains and corrected some grading problems with our yard. The drains are performing perfectly and our yard looks better than ever!

Jeff came out and removed some sod and created bed edges to make way for some flower beds. He also moved a few sprinkler heads and made sure they were correctly positioned to hit the remaining turf. Jeff came out and gave me an estimate the day I called and was able to get me in within a few days to accommodate our tight schedule. My wife is very detail oriented and when she came home to see the completed work she was very pleased. It is so hard to find a reliable landscape specialist and I think I found one with Jeff and Genesis landscaping. I will not hesitate to use Jeff again in the future.

We used Genesis to solve a major backyard drainage issue. Jeff was amazing to work with! He started and finished the project before even the estimated start date given! The job was done and then some to solve our backyard drainage problem. We have now found our go to company for landscaping in the Charlotte area.

So many other landscapers offered a free estimate...not genesis. Which would be fine except the MOMENT I said that $100 wouldn’t work for me, just to get a quote, Jeff hung up immediately without letting me finish my sentence. So rude. Glad I dodged that bullet.

In my experience the most important ABILITY is AVAILABILITY. This attribute was most evident when I procured quotes for my landscaping project this summer. I contacted 5 local landscaping companies to bid on my project. Only Jeff from Genesis Landscaping answered my call and was at my home within 48 hours to scope the job and provide me a price and a start date. He took the time to see my vision and made suggestions for options I had not considered. He also gave me many tips on things I could do to mitigate insects and weeds in my yard without harming my 3 dogs. Short Version:Jeff did an absolutely amazing job fixing my drainage problem..Long VersionI first met with Jeff last year (2019) for an initial quote to discuss the problem I had with my existing drainage system that had been penetrated by roots causing backup.Fast forward to 2020 and after a second meeting with Jeff we finalized the project. Both Jeff and Debra were wonderful to work with for scheduling and quickly addressing any questions or concerns we had before and during the work.The results:Since completion we have now had several heavy rains and all have drained away with no issue. I now have grass growing in areas that never grew before and no water pooling in my yard. Jeff Nye and his crew at Genesis relocated (and divided) several large azalea shrubs for us in January. He was very particular about the seasonal timing of the work so the shrubs had the best opportunity to survive and thrive. The project looks great. Everything placed perfectly, and very little evidence to show that a landscaping crew digging with machinery had been all over my yard. We cant say enough good things about Jeff Nye and Genesis. The 40-yo home we bought in 2015 needed a lot of work to rejuvenate the yard. Jeff got it in shape quickly, and added new drainage and other features to keep it that way. Using decorative pavers, he converted our crumbling concrete driveway and patio into spaces that ever since prompt passers by to stop and praise the look. Each spring and fall, Jeff and his crew are back to revive our lawn after one winter or get it ready for the next (including hauling away truck loads of leaves).
