Scotts refinished my hardwood floors for a house I sold. They are honest, dependable and the floors looked as good or better than new. We had multiple complements on our floors from prospective buyers. Scott and his crew were very easy to work with and they took the time to explain the process and give us good advice. It went great! Scott and his team were able to remove the damaged marks in the floor. They had to do all our wood floors on our first floor, since the rooms were continuous. His team moved all our first floor furniture into our sunroom and then when the job was completed moved it all back. No easy job and no damage to the new refinished floor. The sanding job was done with minimal sand dust and then three coats of Poly were applied over four days. Had four bids and Scotts was the lowest and we felt best. Scott was professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to have met. His price was substantially less than two others. Im from NY and can be difficult at times, there was no reason with Scott. Communication was fast and the job was completed when it was promised. The employees doing the work were professional, timely and the finished product, excellent.Would recommend Scott without concern.

After a mishap with another local flooring company who couldn’t deliver what they promised, I was in a bind when referred to Scott and his team by a friend who said they had done great work on his new home. I was under a major time constraint and on a budget. Scott was communicative and his team delivered beautiful floors the very week after providing me with a reasonable quote. I went from 3inch 90s yellow wood flooring downstairs in BAD shape to a full tear up and install of 4inch oak floors with espresso stain (multi stairs and staircase railings included in the upgrade).

Scott and his crew install Brazilian walnut hardwood flooring in my lakefront house 10 years ago.They sand and finish them on site. Scott Kivek and his team did a fantastic job refinishing my red oak hardwood floors and stairs. They were here on time and finished exactly when they said they would for a reasonable price. The last time I had the floors refinished, there was so much dust we could hardly breathe, but we had minimal dust issues and my floors are beautiful. They also did a much better job putting the quarter round back down than the original floor installer.

I’ve used Scott and his team twice to install hardwoods in two houses that I have lived in. In both cases they were super professional, did a great job and at a very reasonable cost. I will use Scott every time I need hardwoods installed or refinished. Great service!

These guys were subcontracted by another contractor but they were quick and personable. They take pride in their work. I didn’t ask the little details they added but they were details I wouldn’t have thought to add to make the flooring in the room pop. I am happy with the hardwoods they put in. They are going to finish them in the next two days so I’ll add pics later.

The owner Scott and his crew were very professional. They worked me in and show up on time, completed the job well, and with superb results. Fixed one deep scar, did screening, sanding and the finish coat looks great. Fantastic result with no splashes on my walls or baseboard. Fairly priced. I would not recommend using Scott’s services. It is our biggest regret. We purchased a new home and knew from our previous to homes it is best to apply a maintenance coat to continue to protect the floors. We hired Scott because he had good reviews and could start that week despite his estimate was slightly higher. Scott’s crew finished our 1.8k square foot home in less than an hour and a half. The process they use requires lightly sanding of all the floors, cleaning up the dust, and applying the new layer of coating. The attention to detail was just not there. If you look or touch along the baseboards you can see and feel the grit from the sanding. There are bits of dust. There are areas where it is rough. We also had a pool of coating from one room to another. It looks like spilled water. When I mentioned this to Scott he said it would wear away over time. The other major issue is the lack of durability in the coat he applied. I am not sure if they are using subpar coatings, but if you look at our floors the coat he applies will scratch. When we moved in so much got scratched. Scott’s crew did come and repair it. (Although it took 3 visits to get correct. One of his guys was amazing at it. Others sanded spots after applying new coating which left a rough gross patch.) 6 months later if even painters tape touches the floor, it will pull off the coat he applied. Scott’s response was don’t put painters tape on it. Our painters loved dealing with that! Overall the floors look like absolute garbage now since anything sliding on the floor even if it is new and clean will scratch them. Scott said nothing should slide on the floors. I waited over six months to post this review since Scott said it would take that long to cure. We consulted two other floor companies after Scott’s explanations. They all said it was from a poor application of the coat Scott’s team applied. We have lived in homes with hardwood floors prior with our two dogs and have never had results like this. I gave him two stars since he did come out and fix the issues after we moved it, but can’t give anymore since the end product is so awful.

Scott and his team are excellent. They removed an old tile floor for us and replaced it with hardwood. In addition they added hardwood to our upstairs hallway and sanded, stained, and finished all of our existing hardwood, stair cases, and banisters from a natural finish to a dark walnut finish. We couldnt be more pleased with the results. Scott and team were professional and did a great job. We would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future.

Highly recommended! We’ve hired Scott’s for whole house wood floor refinishing services twice - once prior to a home sale and once for the new place. I can’t speak highly enough about them - they do outstanding work and are a pleasure to work with. Their rates are reasonable and they’re extremely responsive and accommodating with schedules.

Scott came to our house and gave us a very reasonable quote to remove the furniture, install new hardwoods and refinish our existing hardwood flooring. We where out of town while work was being completed. When we came back as we left him the key to our house. We where so impress the way it was professionally done. I bought a 80 year old home that needed work. I hired Scotts Sanding Service to see what they could do with original floors that were painted and in need of a lot of repair. The floors now look gorgeous and it was done at a very reasonable price. I dont think I could have put down decent carpet for the same money. I had Scotts Sanding Service install and finish two rooms of hickory flooring. Not only were they reasonably priced they were extremely personable. My floors look amazing and each room only took a couple of days. I look forward to having the rest of my house completed by this company

Scott and his team did an excellent job refinishing a hardwood floor that I thought had little hope when I bought the house. The floor looks brand new and completely changed the look and appeal of the first floor. His color recommendation was spot on. Went above and beyond to coordinate timing of getting a job well done.

Our experience with Scott and his crew was a bit of a mixed bag. Our floors look great overall. Our staircase railings however were another story. Scotts team had to come back about 4 times to finish them (and were still not completely satisfied). There was little to no pro-activity on their part to ensure they were complete and that we were happy. Neither has there been much follow-up. I would have a hard time recommending them for anything other than a floor as a result. Sure they were nice and all, but a complete job without constant following up to ensure it from our end would have been preferred.

Great service and floors make the house look brand new. They helped us move furniture out and back into the house. Scott kept us up to date with progress by sending pics daily. Highly recommend!!!

These guys did the hardwood floors in a house I own. One bedroom floor had been damaged by renter. They did OUTSTANDING job of restoring floors to primo condition throughout the whole house including damaged section. Good on both pricing and work done professionally.

They did a fantastic job sanding down my worn down floors and making them look new again. They even made a custom stain mix to get just the exact color I wanted. The team doing the work was very polite and professional. I would definitely recommend them to others.
