Long Distance Property Management and Maintenance is difficult under the best of circumstances. Without the assistance of Mikes Home Repairs we are not sure that it would have been possible to successfully maintain our Charlotte investment properties over the course of the past decade.Recently, we worked with Mike and his team on Extreme Home Makeovers for two of our Charlotte properties, extensive work completed by Mikes Home Repair, preparing the homes for sale. Mike and his team paid close attention to detail, exhibiting excellent workmanship as they completed two down to the studs renovations of our two 60+ year old homes. When finished, both homes were works of art, completed in a timely manor at very reasonable prices.Mikes Home Repair did an excellent job communicating with both our broker, as well as ourselves, throughout each phase of the extensive home renovation process. Mike and his team provided a truly outrageous level of customer service from the beginning to end of our projects. We look forward to using Mikes Home Repairs again on future projects!

Mike’s Home Repairs recently completed a full home renovation for me. This work included tear out of old carpet and water damaged wood flooring / sheetrock, new carpeting / linoleum installation, interior and exterior prep and painting, porch screening and more. Mike paid attention to details and attended smaller needs such as broken blinds, light fixture issues, smoke detectors etc. The house looks GREAT! I’ve dealt with a lot of contractors over the years and Mike is the best. He’s accessible, easy to work with and does what he says.

Although he was communicative and accommodating with timing, the job itself left little to be desired. We did a small built in bar, after painting was done there were uneven lines, splatters in our drawers due to carelessness, paint on bottom of our cabinets along with pencil lines left on white cabinets. Poor calking of the countertop to the wall and even letters/#s were left on the marble counter top when installed and no one cleared this off. When bringing it up to him after job completed (within less than week) I was told well I am not responsible for miscommunication b/t your husband and yourself so will not be able to come back to fix this. Would not recommendAnd to clarify my husband and I get along great and there were no disagreements. My husband actually mentioned a few of these things at one point and was told “oh you can just paint over that” so when someone hires people it should be to the satisfaction of everyone. I also wrote an email to review my concerns and had a very unprofessional and rude response with no apologies about anything or else I may have not written this review. Learning to be professional is important and that was not received.

I was extremely pleased with both the high quality of workmanship and the professionalism of the people that did the work. The detail and carpentry type craftmanship that was put into my deck exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone. As a matter of fact I did recommend them to my neighbor who used them as well and was also very pleased with the work that was done.
