Great place to spend a day and learn about NASCAR which includes history regarding NASCAR, different awards, different cars, simulation which gives someone experience of driving a Nascar car, a well as there are cafes to eat and one can also watch a quick movie in the theater about the history of NASCAR. Do wear the mask as it is a necessity.
I have never watched nascar, but would consider myself a gear head. ended up having a blast, i like the combination of technology and history at work here.I think the simulator was my favorite. The facility itself was immaculate and staff very nice, if your in town deff swing by and check out some smiles per gallon
Had an absolute fantastic visit to the NASCAR Hall of Fame! We opted for the guided tour and our had the pleasure of sharing his last tour at the HOF, Aaron is moving onto a position with NASCAR. He was extremely knowledgeable, Im sure he will be missed by all at the HOF. The cars, exhibits, and interactive events were fantastic. Located within walking distance from downtown, BofA Stadium and the Spectrum Center. We walked from the Hilton Charolette Uptown, maybe a 10 minute walk. It has a small Smithfield meats luncheon area and is also connected to a Buffalo Wild Wings. A real nice on-site gift shop as well. Im not a diehard NASCAR fan but it is worth the visit.
I dont understand some of the horrible reviews this place gets...IF its not your cup of tea then fine but Review based on what it is.... not your personnel ticks....I am not a huge NASCAR FAN....BUT my son was captivated by all the brightly colored cars....the workers were very friendly and helped him play some of the interactive games.... Some educational stuff about engines and how drafting works...gave military a discounts. Was very clean and well maintained....I think it was very well done....as far as MASKS go....Yes they follow the City mandates...but we had no problem taking them off for pics....no one gave us a hard time about them....occasionally you would see a sign reminding you .....WE HAD A GREAT TIME THERE
The NASCAR Hall of Fame has cross appeal to both seasoned veterans of the sport and newcomers alike. The information and history is presented in an engaging and thoughtful manner and the displays are visually impressive. They have a very large array of restored race cars from different eras and decades which really shows the rich history of the sport. My family and I spent approximately 3 hours here and felt we couldve spent a few more if we read all of the materials presented. A definite highlight was the simulated race they have on the 2nd floor!
We always enjoy our visit to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Theres so much to see and do, so much information, and all of the staff are a great help. The BBQ sandwich is huge and delicious. The race simulator is so fun, and easy to find yourself in competition with your family. Parking couldnt read our ticket and it ended up costing us $16 for the 3 hours we were inside. Im not sure the average. I recommend getting the biggest package, the meal and $10 shop gift card, are both something we would have used either way, and we got them cheaper by buying the bundle.
The racing simulators are a lot of fun. It was a challenge just to survive. Many racing cars and drivers racing suits from different eras are on display. Interactive displays help you see a little of what goes into a race car, or let you try calling a race on radio and television. The story of NASCARs beginnings from moonshine runners is told in video.
Nascar Hall of fame is a great place to visit. Mask is required for now. They have an extensive exhibit of race cars and each one has very interesting information. The race simulator was so realistic and so much fun. Great place for all ages and for all levels of knowledge about Nascar.
I did not think my Girls will have so much fun as they did! We are now big Nascar fans!! The place is full with interactive exhibits and fun things to do! Yo can even drive a Nascar car Simulator and race! It’s so organize and easy to walk through that we spent there all morning! Definitely worth a visit!
Nice way to spend an afternoon. The boys loved competing against each other in the pit stop competition where you are timed to see who can change a tire and gas up a car the fastest. They also loved the virtual racing experience. You get to sit in a race car and the windshield is your gaming screen. If you are a big NASCAR fan, this will be a very exciting place to visit. Trophies, stats, jackets, coveralls, schedules - you name it. Some of the cars still have confetti stuck to them. If you are not a fan, you will get an opportunity to learn about how it all came about. Moonshine runners - who knew?
What an educational experience. I like racing but have never been a dedicated fan of the sport. I had a blast and learned many things that I never imagined about the history and technology behind the sport. They also have an incredible driving simulator that you get to experience inside of a real sized car. Very kid friendly place and Flatstanley even made an appearance.
Amazing collection of NASCAR cars and memorabilia. We could have spent a lot more time there if we had it. A must stop if you are in Charlotte!
Going in, I didnt know much about Nascar except for a few household names and racetracks, yet I was eager to learn. They do a great job teaching the history of the sport with plenty of interactive kiosks and simulations. Definitely informative and fun. I walked away with a better understanding and greater appreciation.
Great day with Crystal, Lon to and the granddaughters. And of course my Better half Tammy ❤️❤️
NASCAR is one of the best attraction in downtown of Charlotte North Carolina. This place is really nice to spend around 4-5 hours, lots of information about legendary racing cars and winners. Kids really enjoy simulators at the 3rd floor, you can also enjoy food in cafe there.
**********************************The NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte NC is a really nice place for NASCAR fans to know about their history and have a peek at some of the famous winner cars as well. They have simulated car driving experience that they provide as well. The place was kept very clean and looked hygienic.Theres a few other activitied that you can do like pit stop simulation and a few others which were fun.**********************************
Very high tech museum with lots of history and interactive exhibits. Especially enjoyed the sim racing and put stop challenge. This museum is good for nascar fans and others alike as well as all ages.
Nascar stands for the national association of stock cars auto racing. And this hall of fame tells you everything you need to know and more
This place is amazing. Plenty of old and news race cars . History of the sport from the beginning. Videos and display cases . Also interactive game for kids and adults.
Wonderful family day filled with fun and lots of learning about the NASCAR history. Fun for all ages
Great cars and info. If yall would like to hire someone to dust those cars, Im your girl!
Alot to see and do. Could spend 4hrs there easy.
Im not a NASCAR fan, but the Hall of Fame is very interactive and visually stunning, inside and out. A FUN time. My kids, who hate NASCAR, love this place. Their favorite is the race simulators where you actually sit in race cars with computer monitors for windshields. All the racers are on the same virtual track racing each other. Bystanders can watch the race live on a huge monitor. I suggest going early bc there are no lines for anything. Even Saturdays. The pit crew experience is also pretty fun, where you can race your friends changing a tire and fueling a mock-up car. Plenty of staff on hand to explain the activities and guide you to where you want to go.
Great for any kind of motorsports fans- kids or adults. Were fans of anything with combustion engines and this museum was great for both adults and our toddler. CARS is his favorite movie, so seeing a real live Lighting McQueen and Doc Hudson was priceless. This museum is very clean, well run and staffed, and has hands-on exhibits. We werent brave enough to attempt the pit stop trial so the museum employee did his best run for us. That was fun! Weve been here 3 times in 2 years! Its great for a few hours if youre in Charlotte.
The Mecca of Motorsports! Had a blast. The Simulators are tough! Great visit everyone must do!
A very fun experience for the avid nascar fan to go to at least once. Clean environment, friendly staff, absolutely awesome seeing the history of one of Americas greatest sports. The biggest drawback for me was if I am there on a Sunday and a race is on while Im there it should be absolutely no question that virtually every single TV in the place should be showing the race. Every. Single. One. Instead they had highlights of last weeks race. Big missed opportunity Nascar. Lastly, Ive done the tour of Daytona with the gear shop at the end. The gear shop at the HOF was practically bare by comparison when you would think it would be the biggest of all. Overall it was a fun experience but theres some meat left on that bone for sure. Thanks for having us! Go Harvick!
Birthday / Anniversary get away! Spent a few hours at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and really enjoyed the exhibits and history. Ticket prices vary on the level that you want to interact, such as audio tours, access to simulators, etc. Since we had another appointment this day, we paid for general admission and worked our way through the hall. The exhibits were amazing for you NASCAR fans. I particularly liked seeing trophies and driver memorabilia. My husband, loved the array of cars! Just really cool. Disappointed race shops were not open on the weekend, but we will go back and take a bit more time! The facility was very clean, and staff was helpful and very nice!
Had a wonderful time seeing the history of Nascar. There are so many exhibits and a ton of interactive displays that are all personalized to your preferences. Definitely recommend to the avid NASCAR fan.
Absolutely georgous place. Simulator ride and pit road challenge was so much fun! Bbq pulled pork sandwich was delicious!
A very well put together museum. It’s not overwhelming with either info or displays. It felt like just enough to keep you engaged. Really cool interactive displays and things to engage you further. The driving simulation is well worth the extra $5 to do. Will definitely come back when our travels have us back in CLT area again.
Ive been a race car fan since i was very little. Many thanks to my dad, in heaven, getting me interested in antique & hot rods at a very early age and then into racing. NASCAR was part of our weekend rituals and it even trickled down into my kids. I loved watching races on TV and going to the tracks watching people i knew race e-mods and sprint cars. Took my son for his 16th birthday to Nascar Hall of Fame and we had a good time. Theres so much to see if you take your time. If youre familiar with iRacing you can race a simulator too which which my son loved, as did my husband.Highly recommend this to any car enthusiast, NASCAR or Indy fan etc. It took us about 3hr to see everything & we were there for about 4hr because my son enjoyed the simulators. There is so much here to learn and immerse yourself in. There are many historical things & people I didnt even know about. Very interesting. Theres a little cafe and a gift shop inside and the exit leads you into Buffalo Wild Wings or you can go out the exit where the entrance is. Lionel shop isnt too far away from here (about 30 min) if you wanted to check that out and buy a model 1/24 scale car or other items. Check them out but keep in mind times & traffic.#LetsGuide #family fun #racingFan #DaleJr #TheIntimidatorWillAlwaysBeNumberOne #Alfredo -not the sauce :) #JeffGordon #RichardPetty #JimmieJohnson -needs to come back to Nascar lol. #ChaseElliott #KyleBusch #Logano #andretti #penske #rousche
Downtown located and an amazing experience. Not a big connoisseur of NASCAR but with all the details and memorabilia they have to show amazes anyone. Well worth the time spent here with my family. Very interactive and kids friendly.
Great place to see the history of nascar. They have cars from past to present day. Good way to see the historic cars that shaped the sport of nascar and learn about the man who drove them. Would recommend anyone to go.
Outstanding fan experience! Simulator racing is very cool. Amazing display of cars and firesuits!
I did about 54 seconds of donuts in the infield on the simulated race before the attendant came and told me how to stop and get back on the track. Thanks for the “help” lol 🙄🤷♂️. It cost $95 for all 3 of us with the virtual race, money well spent.
Enjoyed my visit. If you are an avid NASCAR fan, there Id no better place to visit. So much history. So many interactive experiences. The staff was so friendly.I wish we had more time. It takes a while to see everything.Enjoy yourself and visit them. Go early and beat the crowd. They open at 10:00.
Loved the history and all the cars on display. Love all the interactive and simulators.
Went here to celebrate my fiancé birthday and had the best time. so much to see and interact with. they were cleaning after every person which made me feel very safe. employees were nice and helpful. 10/10
This was a great experience and well worth the upgrade fee. Everyone working there was super! Had a great time viewing the cars and exhibits. Loved the simulator cars! Thank for a superb day!
I have been a NASCAR fan for 50 years. It was extremely cool to see the historical cars and videos. The facility is well laid out and well staffed with helpful people. Very impressed. And my wife enjoyed it.
A lot of interactive exibits. For an extra 5$ you can try a simulator where you compete against other people. Ive never been interested in NASCAR, but i enjoyed my visit.
Great displays, incredibly informative and a lot of fun. Great way to spend a few hours downtown. The driving simulation is fun and interactive as well.
Delight! interesting for both children and adults, even those who are not at all interested in the topic of cars
Awesome experience! All of the staff were nice and helpful. We had a lot of fun with the race simulator. The Pit Stop cafe had good food. If you are indecisive about what package to get I would go for the $50 package. You get unlimited simulator rides, lunch is included, a yearbook, and $10 voucher for the gift shop. Overall a great experience!
I am not a fan of Nascar but I had an amazing time! Loved the simulator
Really interesting museum ! A lot of history about all of the major nascar drivers and manufacturers but also there is actual historic cars that have been on circuit and different stands where you can learn the mechanics of nascar card. Also they have a lot of interactive activities like pit stop, nascar driving simulator (you have to pay 5$ more for this one)... We really enjoyed it and I think it’s a great thing to do with children too !
Really cool experience good pricing and never know what you are going to run into there
Great place. I enjoyed my visit
Our first time at the museum. Wow!!😁 Huge!! Loved every part of it. Were definitely coming back.
My wife and I toured the NASCAR Hall of Fame with wide eyed enthusiasm as the history and technology that is NASCAR was revealed. BUT before we even made it up to the ticket check-in, we were greeted by a most remarkable woman. Her name is Jewell and her heartwarming energy, her desire to provide visitors with a positive first impression just had me smiling, from ear to ear (albeit under my mask). I can truthfully state that visitors will have an enjoyable time at the HOF, for all the reasons that reviewers have stated elsewhere. However, among all the myriad of outstanding employees working for the venue, a gem hidden in plain sight was Jewell, the greeter par excellence. When you go in, please tell her that Jim said, Hi!
We had a great time! Loved glory road. Awesome collection of memorabilia. The simulators were so fun! Employees were friendly and knowledgeable.
Awesome experience regardless of your level of NASCAR fandom. I am a mild fan of the sport and still thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Protip-> get the top tier ticket, its definitely the way to go as it includes unlimited everything as well as a meal.
I didnt go in I just went through the back
Nice place! Nice history of Nascar. The simulator is awesome!!
Great way to spend a few hours in Charlotte. Even if youre not a NASCASR fan, this is a great place to visit and learn some history.
We love this place! They have the coolest hands on stuff and the boys cant get enough of the simulators. Literally everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to ensure your visit is the best it can be. I am critical of customer service and cant overstate how great these employees are. Bought a family membership today and will be back soon. Keep it up!
What an amazing experience full of memories and incredible entertaining for the kids. The customer service is out of the world. Leslie at front was kind, friendly and extremely professional, she will make you feel at home, what a nice lady looking happy performing her role and making customers feel welcomed 100%. Nick was very helpful with my kids at the simulators and that made my children very happy. Luis and Iris at the cafeteria, were attentive, social and friendly as well, that is very important for customers wanting to come back. Overall, it was an excellent time with my family that I will repeat soon. Thank you to this great places Management team for having a perfect facility with top class employees.
The people that worked there were very friendly and helpful. Alot to enjoy especially of youre a big Nascar fan.
I loved learning the history and interacting with the different exhibits. The simulator was fun, but took a little bit to get the hang of and not overcorrect and hit walls! XD
I love it, its a awesome place for the kids and lover of cars. The simulator was fun and exciting. You get the full experience of NASCAR.
Felt like a child again. Even won most of the races 😆 It’s great you can actually virtually race
Love the interactive experiences. If you love speed then this is you place.
I loved it enjoyed the whole experience If youre a nascar fan you need to come here
Great experience! Friendly staff..
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Helped direct me and my friend to the best spots to get the full experience. Loved the driving simulator wished we had more time to try it a few more times. Enjoyed making a daily record on the out crew experience as well as shattering it many times and during last run breaking the daily team record as a solo run was great. Enjoyed a audio tour. Neat stuff at the gift shop lots of nascar history under one roof. Clean and well taken care of. Hopefully my next trip down we can spend some more time there.
An absolutely wonderful place to go that contains a lot of history. Additionally, their racing simulator is extremely awesome.
Not a huge race fan, but love history and enjoy watching nascar. The cars were cool to see. We didnt do the simulator experience - it was too costly for us. Nascar. To see once. A casual race fan could probably do it in an hour or 2, while a big race biff could spend hours in there.
It was ok! My children loved it. The stimulator was the best part. Buy That add on
Absolutely the best day in a long time. Thank you NASCAR, yall always look out for the fans
Really liked the simulator, so much fun.
I absolutely LOVED IT!!! Im not into cars at all but I really enjoyed learning the history of car racing, how it started and what it is now. The workers there were super nice and helpful as well!
Great visit with my family! The kids loves seeing all of the cars and the racing simulator was so much fun!
Needless to say, if youre a NASCAR fan this place is for you. It is filled with informative history, awesome cars, and much more. My group had a great time.
Went for the first time the first year it opened, went back this year for the second time and its just as awesome! A must visit if youre a race fan!
AWSOME place this was my 2nd time there was even better than the first
Highly interactive. Well-maintained and engaging throughout. We thought wed be done in 3 hours but were were so wrong! You will not want to leave. Wheelchair accessible with ramps throughout. You will be walking a lot but there are rocking chairs and benches everywhere if you need a break. The Pit Stop Cafe prices are affordable and food and the service are great. It can feel cold after a while inside the museum especially on the upper level so bring a sweater.
It was so much fun, the people who work there are so nice and helpful. It was a great anniversary gift.
We drove from Dandridge,TN to see the HOF. It was ok, wasnt very big, wasnt at all what I expected. The place had absolutely no Tim Richmond things of any kind...a bit disappointing. For the most part it was worth the 3.5 HR drive, if youre a NASCAR fan.
Took my father here for his birthday. Hes a huge Bill Elliot fan. The museum did not disappoint. He even beat me at the racing simulator! This was such a fun, interactive experience. Great service by the staff as well!
My daughter suggested we stop I am so glad we did My younger daughter and I along with my older daughter and her boyfriend had a blast thank you very much
Again as I said before if you ever in Charlotte North Carolina this is the place to go if you are in the nascar. Staff was very friendly again enjoying the Southern hospitality, Even though was close to closing time they gave us a discount and let me see as much as I could as we were all the way from Arizona. Thank you to the staff 🙏
Awesome experience! I learned a lot about NASCAR and where it started. Safety issues were non-existent.There was lots of History in the building. Also, lots of interactive experiences as well
So I solidly fall in the not at all a nascar fan category, but decided to go as something different to do and bc I’d heard it’s neat to see even if you’re not a big nascar fan.Well…..the simulator was fun but that was about it. Otherwise that was a very steep $60 admission for myself and my significant other to go be confused and really not have a connection to or be drawn into the rest of the museum.Nascar fans will probably love it. If you don’t follow nascar……SKIP.
Great place for anyone interested in Nascar. Lots of hands on fun and education throughout the building
Excellent display of nascar history and current cars. Being able to see some of the original cars and individuals from the bootleggers really gives perspective about how far the sport has come.
We took our toddler today and we had the BEST time!! He LOVED the cars! Lightening McQueen is his favorite and he was SO excited to see him. He also really enjoyed the 13 minute video they had in the theater. Everything was clean and they had plenty of hand sanitizer stations. They gave you your own mini stylus to do the interactive portions with. They were well staffed. Everyone had masks on and everyone was good about distancing. Took my almost 3 year old about an hour to see everything. We had a great morning!
So cool, must see if in Charlotte NC
Nice place, I like, fully recommended 🚙🛻🚚🚛
Came here for the first time with my wife and had a great time. Learned a lot about the history of Nascar. Highly recommend getting a combo ticket with the meal (amazing pulled pork sandwiches!) And discount off gear from the gift shop as well as the simulator ride. Staff were professional and friendly. Truly an experience to try at least once!
The driving simulator is a must do experience at this place.
The place was wonderful, great mix of new and history. Some of the displays were just amazing. But the best thing was the staff they were aim friendly and nice. I can say how much they made us feel welcome. My Dad had an amazing time and I thank you for that!!
This place is a must for any Nascar Fan. Extremely interactive for both kids and adults. So much great history on exhibit here, so take your time and spend a few hours here walking through it all. Well worth the price of admission. There is a parking garage adjacent to the HOF so take advantage of that if you can.
