Robbie did a fine job. Was punctual and professional. He set the expectation level appropriately letting me know that the replacement parts would take a long time to get here due to pandemic supply chain disruptions. They notified me weekly on the status.I recommend.
Recommended by 2-10 home warranty. Problem is they never answered or returned my calls. I will never do business with a company that you cannot reach
I only use them because of my home warranty 2-10, the tech Randall was very unprofessional. He left without letting my husband know that he was leaving, he lied and said he was ordering parts that he did not order. When the service manager came out the next day realize that it needed two parts, so if Randall had did diagnostic testing he would have known that and I could have had my washer fixed. ITs going on two weeks and they are telling my husband its going to take at least 3 to 5 business days before the other part come in. I wished I saw the reviews before hand because the same thing happen to another customer a year ago and they was dealing with 2-10 as well. I will let 2-10 know about this as well because I need company that will do they jobs and be professional too. Now I have to spend money to go to a laundry service because this company dont have good customer services and apparently does do they job well.
The tech was nice. But we paid $100 to this business through Home Warranty America. They misdiagnosed the problem causing weeks of delay. I never got my money back either. Does anyone else see a pattern in the comments?
This place is the most unprofessional repair company I have ever encountered. My home warranty schedule them to come and fix my washer. They didnt show up, call or communicate till after a week. They never answer their phones when you call for updates. And what is worse is that they want to charge me 5% extra for using my debit card, not credit but debit card to pay for $150 deductible. They want me to mail in a check for no fee, and I told them that I dont have a check. The representative that i talk to was always sighing when asking her a question. I will definitely not recommend them to anyone if you want professionalism and fast reliable service. And oh by they way, we the Technician finally came to my house to take a look at washer, he said that he is going to order the parts needed. They didnt communicate with my warranty to see what is going on. This whole process took over a month because I was waiting for them thinking they have communicated with my warranty. My warranty finally decided to just send me a check and buy a new on myself. Never ever ever using them again.
Tarheel was the service provider elected by our extended warranty company to come out to do some work on our washing machine. They came out 3 times and were not able to fix the machine. They then lied to our extended warranty company and said they completed the job and the machine was fixed. We have been without a washing machine for 2 months now and are back at square one because Tarheel misdiagnosed the problem, couldnt fix it, and then said the job was completed so they could get paid. Our original claim was closed out and now we have to file a new one, putting us back at square one.Weve been trying for days to get in touch with them to ask why they marked the job as complete.Id give them 0 out of 5 stars if I could. If a company is willing to lie to get some revenue I wouldnt want to do business with them.
GE uses this company as a vendor and scheduled them to come look at my dryer that was not heating. The receptionist called me the day of my appointment and said that GE should not have scheduled me with them because they are booked. She scheduled me but had to reschedule twice due to the technician having a headache. The tech came to my house and said he will need parts to fix my dryer and to call the office for an update on the parts. I have called daily for two weeks with no answer and my voicemails have not been returned. This is unacceptable.
This persons best intrest is with his appliance contract he has relationship with, not the consumer, before you call for any retail issue check his ratings and reviews,
We went through our home warranty company to get a repair for our leaking refrigerator. It has been an entire month, and we still have not been scheduled for service. Our home warranty company said that the part has arrived but this company has yet to return my calls. Since then, our hardwood floors have raised due to water damage and is spreading throughout the kitchen. This company lacks communication with is why I’m sure they request for customers to leave “1 voicemail” when calling. I am hoping to switch contractors ASAP. I do not recommend this unresponsive and unprofessional company.
We recently purchased a new home. Every time we used the microwave there was a rattling noise. The warranty allowed for the repair. Tar Hill Appliance Repair ordered the part and fixed the problem.
I have been waiting almost 4 weeks for this company to return and complete a repair.
Alan did an outstanding job repairing a new GE microwave that developed a door latch problem after only 3 months usage. GE took months to provide the required parts ordered by their original tech. When they finally arrived the factory service tech for this area was out sick so GE hired Tarheel to complete the job. Alan was timely, thoroughly professional and quickly discovered that one needed part was missing. He got it locally and completed the job the very next day. Situations vary but in my case, Tarheel is highly recommended.
They did not show any knowledge of the appliance. It took them weeks to get the parts. They did not finish the repair are put the dishwasher back in place all crooked so I had to take it out again to fix it. But they sent the invoice.
We were scheduled for the next day and they arrived on time. Allen was very quick in resolving the issue and replacing the unit. All under warranty. Great job! Thanks.
Never use these guys - consistent with others. Took a month to get service scheduled after a 2 week wait for a part order, Lowes repair on warranty. Demand another for your service. Communication was one way - they notify/text/call you. Zero follow up on any questions, never answers any call, no email. Repair visit - after 6 weeks of no dishwasher - clears error code and it throws same code in the next hour. Call and text to beg them to return - no response, no visit, no repair. Worst repair experience ever. They should shut off the lights on their business - they dont care.
Robbie, our Technician, was very pleasant, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. He was not only on time, he was before time which was very good since I had other things to do. Keep up the good work, Robbie.
I very rarely write reviews but was so impressed with my technician Tim that I had to. There were several issues in my home that Tim come out to repair - one of which took 3 trips. Every time he showed up he was on time, respectful and genuinely wanted to get all of our appliances up and running correctly. He even followed up the next day to make sure things were working correctly. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen that kind of customer service. My experience with Tarheel was great and I’d recommend them to anyone!
Tim was great! The team at the office when I originally called was very helpful as well. They went out of there way to assist me in better understanding my warranty before they came out!

They were subcontracted to fix *a* knob on an outdoor grill the week before Labor Day. They spent five minutes taking something apart before realizing they didnt have the proper part, then left it not working, and warned gas was flowing so dont use it. Its been almost a month now and theyre still MIA.
Excellent service! I’m shocked by some of the low rated reviews on here. I had to work with Tarheel through my HWA warranty and they were great. Very accommodating with my schedule, fast and friendly service with my dryer. I would use them again in a heart beat.
After almost a month of initial service call, the technician came to replace part, claimed the dryer was now working and if there was a problem, give them a call. I washed a load of clothes,put them in the dryer and the dryer came on . After the dryer cycle ended, the clothes were not fully dry and the dryer wouldn’t start. I called Tar Heel Appliance right away and as yet no response.
Very hard to get a hold of; will not show up if you do not respond to them within 10 minutes. I missed their call but responded to the text within 11 minutes. The technician did not show up.
Lady at the office was super helpful and my tech that came out to the house was super nice.
Technician was prompt and very knowledgeable. Girl at the front desk was polite and helpful. Will definitely request their services again.

My wife has been trying to have our washing machine repaired using our home warranty and she has had nothing but problems from this company.First we were hardly able to get anyone to answer the phone before noon. When we finally got the technician to come out and look at the washer last week he said we needed a specific part. It took over a week to get the part because he didn’t turn in the information for the order like he said he would.When he came back out to replace the part we were informed that they needed two additional parts to make the repair and it would take another week to get them in. He assured us he would turn in the information immediately so that the part would be ordered, but we have been informed again that this as yet to be done. Now my wife is forced to take our 7 month old out during a national health crisis in order to get laundry done.Unless you’re forced to use this company like we are with a 2-10 Home Warranty, I would avoid them by all means.
We had a hard to repair high end double oven, and Robby from Tarheel persisted until the oven was fixed. Each time they showed up at the time they set and gave us reminders before and the day of their arrival. They encountered problems with the factory getting support which is why it took three trips. Others would have given up. Tarheel has also fixed other appliances for me at my rental properties and they are great to work with. I highly recommend calling Tarheel Appliance to fix yours!

Was super happy! Had to use Tarheel because of my home warranty company. After reading the reviews I was very worried. I was contacted very quickly, the customer service from the lady on the phone was great, and I had a tech out at my home within a few hours! Pablo was very knowledgeable and I was not home when he came and he kept me updated on the entire process the entire time! Even sent me pictures! I can’t say enough how impressed I was!
Tarheel Appliance Repair was the company that our home warranty service sent out to replace our badly leaking garbage disposal. They contacted me promptly, and were very pleasant. Tim, our technician, was friendly and competent. He quickly removed our old unit and installed a new Whirlpool disposal without leaving any mess, and quietly enough that he didnt wake my sleeping child. He even took the extra step of zip tying the Allen key for the disposal to one of my pipes under the sink, so it didnt get lost. Overall this was excellent service, and I am impressed!
They incorrectly diagnosed an issue with my refridgerator, but they came back and rectified everything. Its great to know they are willing to correct and serve their customers. Thanks guys!

After searching all over Charlotte for an appliance company to check on our Fisher and Paykel oven we were fortunate to have a local family run company address our fan, broil coils and a few connections that had been worn out. I observed the work that was being done and actually helped when I could and got to know the owner operator Robbie and his staff. We were patient in sourcing the parts and realizing that Tarheel was determined to get the fix right. Ill say if it is not an emergency and you allow ample time to have this small business use their expertise and guidance youll be very pleased with the result. They came in, listen patiently to figure out what was wrong with appliance (3 units), and fixed what was fixable. One item to be replaced through my home insurance as it cannot be repaired.Customer service was also good anytime I called. They picked up the phone immediately; no wait time as these 800 numbers.Would also go to them if something came up after my home warranty is done.
I had to use Tarheel appliance for a Home Warranty claim. It took them and the home warranty place more than 6 weeks to get the parts and fix our dishwasher. When they finally came to fix it, the new part was broken on arrival, so they had to order a new one and then come and install it again. They never once answered the phone on any of the dozens of times I called them, I always had to leave a message and hope they called when I could answer the phone. The only reason I’m leaving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the service repair man, Tim, was very nice and competent, and did what he could with the broken part when he came.
Do not recommend. This company was used by the home warranty company, therefore we had no say in the choice of company used, would not use them again if we had a choice. After not hearing anything from them after 4 days and calling for an update (on Friday), we were told they would be coming out Monday between 12-5, but would call 30 minutes ahead so someone could be home. They came Monday, but called only 5 minutes before arriving, luckily someone was home. After diagnosis we were told they would order the part needed and call us when it came in. Fast forward to Friday and the part is still not in, but say it should be in by the end of the day on Monday, and as we could not be home Tuesday, they were scheduled to come Wednesday between 12-5. Wednesday rolls around and the snow storm shuts down Charlotte, so no appointment for Wednesday, which was out of their control so I will not hold that against them. We receive a voicemail saying they will need to reschedule for Thursday. After several follow up calls both Wednesday and Thursday morning to confirm that they are coming on Thursday, we finally reach someone who now says that they arent working Thursday, that now the earliest they have is the following Tuesday 12-5, with a 30 minute heads up call. I myself tried calling several times to speak with someone and no one ever answered the phone. The technician comes on Tuesday and never bothers calling ahead,just shows up. Luckily again, someone was already home. This company is slow, unresponsive, unhelpful, and unreliable. Took 3 weeks to fix one part on our refrigerator.
Chad, the technician was so wonderful! He was very patient and took great care to make sure it was done properly. Very professional. I highly recommend Tarheel Appliance as Chads customer service was impeccable.
Poor response time from office on a call back. The initial visit proved the technician was not familiar with the latest vent installation kits. He suggested we replace the kit with a traditional dryer kit and get the duct cleaned. After I had it replaced and had the ducts cleaned I asked for Tarheel to send out the technician to re-set the heating element in the dryer again. The duct was not very dirty but I paid to have it cleaned anyway. Unfortunately, my warranty company would not cover another company (as suggested by Tarheel as they were booked a week out for call backs on services they initially provided) for the same problem on my dryer. Im still waiting to hear from them..really hoping they will respond by the 24th hour tomorrow. My washer was moved around and its now leaking water from the third floor of my house. Disappointing! I thought the technician was thorough and conscientious but Im out $200 for a cleaning and a new kit that I did not need. Still no dryer after a week. I do have wet floors though!
Though they have not been able to repair my LG washer, they have tried 2 different times, but the washer will not duplicate the leaking while they are able to be here. Pablo was the service tech that tried repeatedly to work with LG despite long on hold waits and LG trying to blame the customer. Pablo tried everything possible and then some. It is the machine....not the service people. would recommend them for any major appliance repairs. VERY FRIENDLY and PERSONABLE
Pablo is the best in the business. Very polite and was in and out and our freezer is working better than it did when it was new!
Just had a service call for a leaking disposal. Tar Heel was straight up from day #1. Everything they said would happen, was executed flawlessly. Their efficient, friendly, service tech called ahead and gave us a time that he would be there. He was on time to the minute. He worked quickly, and confidently. He let me inspect the job, and helped me run tests for leaks or problems. So glad to have called Tarheel Appliance .
I had excellent service from Josh. He took care of our refrigerator (which had been out of service for a month and a half after another repair service couldnt figure it out). The office staff was also very helpful and friendly.
Nice enough people. However I had long delays getting callbacks and services provided. My big problem as to why I never recommend them is they didnt fix my problem initially and then charged me a second service call fee because it was a different problem then originally thought. Great way to scam customers. A good business would accept their mistake and fix the problem they were originally paid for, not double dip and charge twice for something they never fixed in the first place. Oh and my dishwasher still doesnt work properly but I give up trying with them.

I called Tarheel for a Lowes warranty repair on my dryer. The technician was knowledgeable and prompt. They had our dryer repaired quickly. They also confirmed appointments via phone and email so we knew exactly when to expect them. Ill use them again when needed.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Never have they once picked up the phone and I always have to leave a voicemail and they return my call hours later. Also when their technician did finally show up to fix my applicance (3rd time) he was mad and swearing (probably because he hates his job). I would never recommend this company. The only reason we even dealt with them because our warranty through LG forced us to work with them as our local techs.
Tarheel Appliance is a joke and I cancelled the job before he even started due to the lack of professionalism, the fact its been over two hours since he said he was going to be here, and then proceeded to argue with me and give me flack about what time he called while I was looking at the call log on my phone and could see he was in the wrong. Sorry, but my money is better spent with someone who holds true to their word!
Waited all day on Saturday for someone to come. They called on Monday and said if I did not answer the phone before the appointment they would not come. They called to reschedule on Monday but she would not give me a weekend appointment. So rude. No coustomer service. Your better off looking elsewhere!
We have a Home Warranty with HWA. Tarheel Appliance repair came out for our dryer not working with a F-01 code, Whirlpool Duet machine. We set up an appointment and they arrived during the hours scheduled. We all knew it was a motherboard problem. The Tech said he would try to fix the motherboard with a 75% chance of it working and if he could fix it we would not have this problem again, otherwise they would have to order a new motherboard. Which could take some time.....And who can be without a dryer for that long, right!!! Well he came back the next day after fixing the motherboard and the dryer works great!!!! So happy our dryer is working and the Tech was able to fix the motherboard.
Had my dryer looked at, it works now, however it is nothing I couldnt have done myself. The service was basically to just connect a vent and offer advice to go to Home Depot (which I could have all done for free). Will definitely not use again.
Tim came to my home to look at my brand new LG oven that is clearly having a manufacturing defect (inside enamel is peeling off.) After looking at my oven for a mere 5 seconds, he tells me Ill be hearing from LG and theyll be most likely replacing my range. After waiting all week, I get a random email from Robbie Doster (office manager) who tells me that I have a cosmetic issue and tells me to buy paint at lowes to fix the problem? Are you kidding me right now?! REALLY? LET ME PAINT THE INSIDE OF MY OVEN WHERE I COOK FOOD?!Complete unprofessional liars, who by the way, NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! Dont have your tech come to my home and then not support the decision he made! Unbelievable! The lack of customer service is a disgrace ! You couldnt even give me a phone call? You hide behind an email?!Do yourself a favor and stay away from this shipwreck of a dump! F grade all the way!
I was fortunate that Tarheel Appliance sent Josh to repair my Electrolux Freezer this week. He was very knowledgable and professional. He thoroughly inspected all of the trouble spots to make sure that he was not overlooking any small detail that could lead to another repair call.Josh clearly strove to provide the best service possible. I would highly recommend his services.
I was assigned Tarheel from my home warranty company. Home warranty company is terrible, First American, dont ever use them ha! But Tarheel was the 2nd company to come out because the first one is so bad. We had a guy named Robbie who came in, thoroughly looked over our broken dryer - quickly figured out what was wrong, and came back right away when the parts were in. Was friendly, knowledgable, and quickly fixed it for us. Tarheel doesnt seem to have a ton of good reviews, but they were great for us, thanks Robbie!

Said he needed to order parts. After 2 weeks they never called me back to follow up. I called them and they said the parts was still coming... from 2 weeks ago. I ended up calling a different company called Gantt Appliance. Guy came out and fixed both my washer and dryer in 30 minutes. There were no parts that needed to be ordered. The technicians at Tarheel have no idea what theyre doing, and the company just tries to steal your money.Asked for my money back for wasting my time and their incompetence but they refused. They said too bad. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will be terribly sorry.
I have written several negative/complaint reviews lately so I am pleased that I can finally write one! I have had 3 GE repair calls, under warranty, for my NEW GE refrigerator, only to have the certified GE repair tech giving excuses with no solutions. Now, using the purchased extended warranty, we were send TarHell Appliance. Not only did the tech immediately pinpoint the possible problem immediately, he said there had been a bulletin regarding our exact problem. GE didnt know? The part was ordered, sent, and installed within 2 weeks. Tarheel kept us informed through every phase of our repair with emails and phone calls. Were not sure this is the fix, as the fridge continues to make the same noises, just not as loud, but at least its a start and something was tried. This was our first experience with an appliance repair in YEARS, so Im happy to say, I would recommend Tarheel Appliance and will use again. Thank you!!
Please avoid this place at all cost! In the past, my wife and I have relied upon Tarheel Appliance for repairs at our old house. We sold that house and purchased a new home, and experienced a problem with our new refrigerator. The manufacturer gave me the number to reach Tarheel Appliance. Being familiar with them, I felt comfortable contacting them. This time because they could not be assured that the manufacturer would cover the cost they refused to even schedule an appointment. This was after I said that I would be willing to pay for the cost out of pocket! Who wants a refrigerator in their house that isnt working!!!! That didnt matter, as I was told without an APN number no appointment would be scheduled. Trust, I will never spend a dime nor refer any of colleagues or affiliations to Tarheel Appliance!!!!!
Ive had to use Tarheel appliance several times through my home warranty policy. Every time Ive had to take at least half a day (once a whole day) off work off because the technicians have been ill prepared and/or late. This past time the techniques removed my door to access the appliances better and then were unable to put the door back on. They suggested I hire someone to put the door back on. The same technician last week told me he was unable to look at the back of the dryer because he had recently had his nipples pierced and was in too much pain. Super unprofessional and consistently a pain to work with
My family and I have been using Tarheel appliance for over 8 years, we have always been giving high quality work at affordable prices and I just can not imagine using another company. Best in the business for sure!

Do not condone business with Tarheel appliance repair. My review is base off on our experience with them through our warranty. If your warranty refer you to them, please do not use them or ask for a full refund.We were referred to Tarheel Appliance repair through Warrantech. Our glass stovetop cracked and needed a replacement. And yes like all the other reviews, if you call them, they wont pick up but they will call you back. They gave us a grace period on what time theyll show up which was 8 am to 12 pm each time. The first time, a guy came out to check out the crack, took pictures, and got the seriel number to order the part. Two weeks later, the technician came out and took the entire stovetop off while waiting on the first guy to bring the new glass stovetop. Right when they took the stove part out, of course, it was the wrong color. At this point, I was giving them the benefit of doubt having read all the reviews about them already. The first guy told me hell have to contact GE to order the right color and well have to wait another 4-7 days. Not only that after the technician put the stove top back, one of my burners didnt turn on and my hot cooktop light has been on since. My husband ended up stopping by their building just to double check if they ordered the right parts for our stove. Two weeks later, here my husband recieves a text from Dawn Doster office manager that they have received the wrong color again and that Warrantech will reach out to us within 24-48 hours. We didnt recieve any calls so we contacted Warrantech and at this point, all they can do is refund us the money back for our warranty. Not only that, the status that Tarheel appliances repair provided for them was complete. That was very false. Again, this was base off of our experience with Tarheel Appliance Repair. Please take precaution condoning business with them because there has been alot of similar experiences also.
Deserve more credit.Place a service call through our Home Warranty for our dishwasher. Set up an appointment for the following Monday from 9-12pm. Repairman called 10 till 9 to say they were 10 minutes away. Arrived on time and spent 30 minutes troubleshooting. Our house was previously a rental that was run down. It was working when he left but gave my husband his number just in case it wasnt working. Welllll it continued to leak. My husband called him and he came right back. Now weve ran it 3 times with no issues.
Using Tarheal Appliance due to a home warranty obligation. They made the situation worse and then had to order more parts to correct the situation. This caused our refrigerator to be inoperable for a month. Still waiting on a fix.If you have a choice- go somewhere else.

STAY AWAY! Good luck getting a hold of anyone in the office or actually getting the owner to call you back after requesting. Unfortunately we had to use this company because of my Warranty company. Very adamant about getting the service call fee up front. Service Tech was at the house less than 20 minutes and said he would order a couple of parts hoping that would take care of the issues. I had to call back to re-schedule follow up services calls to ensure the parts would be installed as the office staff did not call to set up an appointment. Very frustrating.
Lowes schedule a service for my fridge through Tarheel. After rearranging my schedule to accommodate the usual 4 hour window for an appointment, Tarheel had called to reschedule the appointment for another day. I called back but would always get their voicemail. Their office hours are 9-4 but NEVER answer the phone. They do call back but usually the following day. We had to schedule our appointment for approximately 10 days after the originally scheduled appointment by Lowes. After taking the day off work, the tech never showed. After calling and complaining, the tech called to apologize for over looking the appt.
Called them to come fix my dryer. Technician came out (for $75 just to look) and told me my motherboard was broken and I needed to order an $800 part.Got a second opinion from another company and found out the inside of my dryer was filled with lint. Guy cleared it out in 5 minutes and fixed the problem!It appears theyre paying for fake reviews too. All the good reviews are from people who have only left one review on Google and it just so happens to be for Tarheel Appliance. Shady company, avoid at all costs.
HORRIBLE SERVICE -- technician walked out and didnt do anything. Unfortunately as they do repairs for GE products weve had them out more than once . . . never a good experience and takes several appointments to get the simplest things done. Technician stated if I knew it was you I wouldnt have shown up! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Im calling the company and GE to complain.

I would give them a 0 if it was an option. First of all a 5 hour window( one time 1.5 hours late and another time a half an hour early), and nothing after 3 is ridiculous! This will now be the 4th time they are coming out for my fridge (due to home warranty), with something new being wrong each time, and no intention of fixing one of the original issues. Josh is the worst! He told me I had a plumbing issue, so I got a plumber out( which is not cheap), and he told me it was definitely a fridge issue, nothing is wrong with the plumbing. When I expressed to him the first time that my ice was still not dispensing, he was very condescending and explained to me as if I were a child an issue completely unrelated. So very over them! Do not use them!
LG fridge showed an error code. I was contacted before the tech arrived to let me know he was coming. Repair part was ordered and arrived and was installed a week later. Same day a new error code popped up on the fridge. Apparently the part that was repaired was supposed to have a fan replaced as well but the tech didnt get the service memo to order the fan. Had to wait several days for it to get in and then the tech had to come back out to replace it. Here we are now a few days after the fan was replaced and now the fridge is making an awful noise. The fridge worked perfect and now seems to be falling apart. Im considering the possibility that its a bad fridge and needs to be replaced even though its only 2 years old. Will update again once I have spoken with Tarheel Appliance about this problem.
Unfortunately I had to at least give this company a 1 Star rating to write this review. These people are horrible. First of all, they sent out a technician that was new and clueless. He took one look at my refrigerator and said oh you need a sensor and Im like arent you going to look on the inside to see why its not cooling. Wow. Secondly, I told him my ice maker wouldnt make any ice and he said okay Ill order a new ice maker without checking to see if it was something he could fix right then and there. Two weeks later I get a new icemaker. Still not making any ice, a new sensor and still not cooling and all my food has literally gone bad. Smh. The owner comes out and bad mouths the new guy and assured me he would fix the problem. He ordered a new control panel for the cooling system and needless to say still no resolve. My husband bought coolers and ice and we are using them until LG gives us a resolution because Tarheel Appliance are clueless and lazy. Oh by the way the owner huffed and puffed and nearly beat the refrigerator because he couldnt get the part on. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. Oh and its a red head receptionist that has a really bad attitude and she should probably work under cars not answer phones.
Had our LG dishwasher serviced for OE error code. This was the only authorized appliance service company in my area. The office admin did not have any information that was helpful. The technician did not stay to even make sure the parts that were replaced were working. They are getting paid in full from my warranty company to do a job that is not completed.
Hung up on me. Flat out told us that they dont work on LG products, but proceeded to tell me that LG needs to contact them to get a service call out to us. LG had them on their list for repair service, and contacted them. RUDE woman on the phone. She would NOT listen to me, and kept interuppting me. When she answers the phone, she doesnt even state the name if the company. Put me on hold and told me if she didnt pick up the phone, to call back 20 mins later.DONT USE THEM, because if you cant even listen to the customer or even state the name of the company, then I can only imagine their techs. Smh
Next to impossible to get to answer their phone, last week and this week call non stop to get an answer...required me to wait at my house for a 3-hour window of arrival and then skipped my service visit because I was in the yard for 30 minutes and missed their technicians call. Extremely unprofessional considering I took the day off work to await their arrival. It like they don’t really want the work...
Contracted to do a warranty repair on our Haier Beverage Center. Technician was courteous and friendly. First repair did not correct the problem so I called Tarheel and they promptly sent the technician out again. Technician was very apologetic that first fix did not work - he worked with Haier tech line to diagnose the problem which required new motherboard for fridge. We are fixed. I had a completely different experience than other reviewers and will call Tarheel again for other appliance repairs.
Absolutely terrible.. told me my washing machine needed a new part and after I wrote them a $100 check per my home warranty they ran off and wont return my calls.. no one has gotten back to me, Im beginning to think they dont have any intention of fixing my problem and have just taken my money
This place is a complete joke. Dont ever, EVER use this place. We went through lowes, using our warranty for our washing machine. This place called me the day of the appointment, 1 hour before they were supposed to be here ( this was today 5/25/17 about 20 Minutes ago) and I had already taken the day off work. I own my own buissness, so I know how it works. And that is very very unprofessional. And the person that called to tell me the work order just came through and it took 3 days to get it and they needed to cancel the appointment, sounded like she was 12 years old and didnt know what she was doing. I called lowes and sent a complaint through immediately after and she gave me the number to advanced appliances in gastonia, they were so professional. I told them this story, they proceeded to make me am appointment to make up for these idiots mistake and recieved the work order 5 minutes after i had hung up with lowes,thankfully they can come out today.Please dont ever use this company they will waste your time. If I could rate less than 1 star I would.
Tarheel Appliance is garbage. They came out and just scanned the error code with the Samsung app like that was a big deal. Anyone can do that. He said the refrigerator needed a new compressor according to the code. He said Lowes will be sending a person in 24 to 48 hours we dont do that. He texted someone and they texted back got it to prove he had sent my info out. I waited 48 hours and called them after several calls they finally answered. The receptionist said I need to call Lowes not them. After I explained that her technician had told me some one would be coming or contacting us. She said I dont know call Lowes thats all she said I dont know call Lowes for everything. Lowes contacted them to see why they never were contacted by them and they said they could not fix compressors their tech was to busy. They could of atleast called and said they cant fix it. Tarheel appliance are just a bunch of crooks hoping to make money off easy fixes.
We had problem with our refrigerator and our home insurance company sent us to Tarheel repair, they came to fix the problem and when they were leaving, the problem was not fixed, they told our tenant it will be working by the next day, two days later the problem was still there and our tenantcalled to let them know the problem wasnt fixed as they said it will be, they refused to go back and fix it and told him to go back to insurance company and get another service request. our tenant called us and told us he was treated poorly and they were not professional.when i contacted tarheel to find out what was the problem they were so rude to me as they were so rude to my tenant. they are not professional, they wasted our time and money, our food went to trash because of them, they also billed the insurance company for service and parts!!!! if they were not sure what was the problem they shouldnt have changed any parts unless they were diffidently sure how to fix it.the bottom line is THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS AND HAVE NO DIGNITY AND ARE EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. WE WILL NEVER LET THEM WORK FOR US AGAIN, YOU WOULDNT EITHER IF YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. WE REPORTED THEM TO BBB AND ASKED OUR INSURANCE COMPANY TO NEVER SEND THEM TO REPAIR ANYTHING FOR US. we are now working with another professional company with high rate of customer satisfaction. thank you for reading.
Terrible company. Took them two months to repair our microwave. Moreover, they did secondary damage and then denied they did it. Flat out liars. I did not hire this company, they were sent to us because of our home warranty with Old Republic.
I wouldnt even give them one star. After taking off work for the day and waiting 5 hours, guy shows up after I had already left and didnt even give me a courtesy call to tell me he was still on his way. Wouldnt waste your time with this company

If you can avoid it, please take your business elsewhere. This company is AWFUL. We have had two technicians out to fix a microwave issue, parts on order for several weeks and still getting the runaround. Taking time off work, waiting around, being told our parts are on order when they are clearly at the store, not returning phone calls - all together bad business practice. Unfortunately our home warranty company is contracted with them and therefore we are forced to continue until this issue is resolved. This entire process has taken over 4 weeks and is still not fixed yet. Very frustrating. Companies like this are ripping people off and taking advantage.
Horribly, HORRIBLY unprofessional office staff. They dont answer their phone 85% of the time and it takes them DAYS to return a voicemail. Theyve gotten TWO of my appointments wrong (nothing like taking time off work for nothing) -- then blamed me for ...writing it down wrong, then the customer service girl laughed (laughed!). My husband took a day off from work for nothing.. They run this business like a shabby hobby and its very clear they dont care about their customers. Im forced to use them bec this is whom HH Gregg contracts with under my washing machine warranty - otherwise, Id run like xxLL in the other direction. ** Update on 9/11 -- I also reported them to the BBB. Tarheels response to that BBB complaint put the blame on me (no kidding) and claimed they were very accommodating (unbelievable). If you read their other publicly posted reviews, youll see this pattern of customer abuse over and over. We (the public) HAVE NO REASON TO LIE - in fact, wed LOVE to have GREAT THINGS to say about the companies we deal with. Please keep in mind, most people dont take the time to write a review, weve all grown so accustomed to lousy, rude and unprofessional service we just move on. But the point of asking the public for their reviews is so others will know which companies treat their customers with respect and those that dont. This company has no integrity at all. Why not just APOLOGIZE? Because that would require a company that actually cares -- not only about their customers but also about who they are in this world. Just unbelievable.
I have a brand new LG refrigerator and the Mother Board died.they came, found the problem, ordered a new board and when it arrived at their facility, came and put it in.GREAT SERVICE
Samsung recently contracted Tarheel Appliance to repair my Samsung refrigerator. They were the closest authorized repair contractor in my area. It was not a good experience. In three visits over the course of two weeks they were unable to fix the refrigerator. On the second visit their technician dented the stainless steel door on the appliance and their receptionist who had been pleasant up to that point was l... view moreess than courteous on the phone. On the third visit they sent a subcontractor (it appears that they lack the service personnel who are licensed to replace refrigerant). Over the course of those two weeks a pattern of poor service became apparent. After each failed visit I would contact tarheel to schedule the next step to fix the appliance and they would be unresponsive until I contacted Samsung directly and asked for them to intervene on my behalf. On their last visit the subcontractor they sent indicated that the refrigerator was totally out of refrigerant and that it was apparent that the sealed cooling system had failed and the compressor had failed. The sub-contractor replaced the compressor and recharged the system and within a hour of their departure the unit stopped cooling (the coolant had leaked out again) and the new compressor ran with no effect. Tarheels response to this development was to recommend that they try to replace a circuit board (a fix they had already tried on the second visit). (According to Samsung this repair had never even been recorded in the service history with them for my appliance.) After another 24 hour lull where I had repeatedly called and requested a simple phone call to discuss retrying a repair that had already failed once (and totally ignored the glaring fact that the compressor was running but the unit was not cooling) I once again had to call Samsung directly to intervene. In the end Samsung and I decided it would be best if they provided a different repair service as my customer service from this group had been so bad. Its a shame that a zero star rating is not an option. Contrast that experience with the alternate company Samsung sent (A and E Factory Service). This technician placed a rigid plastic sheet on my floor so that the wheels would not dent my wood floors when he moved the refrigerator (tarheel never did this). He put a furniture pad over my granite island stovetop so the fridge would not get dented (unfortunately that is exactly how the Tarheel tech damaged my appliance on the second visit). The A and E technician had equipment that could detect the coolant leaks (neither Tarheel nor their sub-contractor ever brought such equipment) and quickly and efficiently found the problem. He had me fill out a customer service review of his performance on his laptop before he left (no one from Tarheel ever checked their employees performance). Furthermore, I received an automated phone call from A and E three days after their visit to ask me to rate their technician. I gave A and E top marks in both surveys. How could I do otherwise? They were courteous, professional, took care not to damage my appliance and my kitchen floors, and they accomplished in one visit what Tarheel could not do in three. Before he left, I asked the technician from A and E about the circuit board. He told me it should have been obvious to anyone who knew what they were doing that the problem was not there. I think that final comment speaks volumes about Tarheel Appliance.

I dont like tarheel appliance I have been eating for three weeks for them to fix my stove before they came out I told them what was wrong they still have not fix it . Do not let these people in your house.
