Multifunction center including fitness center, physical therapy services, yoga, massage therapy and more. Excellent service and staff, particularly for physical therapy. Easy access and parking as well.
We’ve ordered take out several times. Great food and healthy options!
Very nice and supportive peopleWent there for PT
This place is outstanding for aquatic therapy
Such a wonderful, holistic place to go. I go for cardiac rehab - which is ending for me. The staff will be severely missed by me.What a great energy about this place. [And Im a harsh critic.]
What a well organized, amazing staff, great equipment this facility has! I only go there for PT, but I do get the experience of the whole facility. In addition the Physical Therapy staff there is amazing. They will help you get back to where you were before or even better. Peter Olmos makes my session go by so fast because we do not only do the PT but we engage in normal life conversations etc. He makes me feel like if I was his friend! The receptions ladies are amazing at everything and they are so calm. Thank you for everything!
Spent a lot of time here and it would be my #1 choice for rehab and physical therapy.
Great health and wellness club. It has everything you need to get in shape as well as a staff that cares and is extremely responsive to any needs. With free weights, weight machines, cardio machines, indoor track, indoor pool and great classes, it is the best health club around.
I have been considering joining the Wellness Center and finally decided to go in. I was greeted at the front desk and they directed me to a membership coordinator. First off, let me tell you how professional Matt Bonds was when describing the Wellness Center and what it has to offer. He then gave me a private tour of the facility and I was blown away. He was able to answer all of my questions without hesitation. I plan on being a member in the future and telling all my friends.
I pay about $65 per month for my membership here, but I think its totally worth it. I love the wide range of classes and all the intstructors have been very supportive even with people of low skills. At other gyms Ive been to there has been pressure to push myself harder than i was comfortable with, but never here. The facilities are well maintained and clean. They also give you towels to use so you dont have to bring your own.
This is an ok gym which seems pretty standard for a hospital affiliated fitness center based on my experience in other cities. The average age of members appears >60 and it has the vibe of a senior center without many younger people. Some of the staff can be rude. I saw someone thrown out of the gym today for weight lifting (bench pressing) in sandals. The weight area is limited with only 1 squat rack and no weightlifting platform, although probably good for most of their target audience. The treadmills are older with smaller screens for those interested in cardio.
Clean. Thats so important.Remarkably professional staff. They must audition them. So attentive, informative, helpful and kind.
Love this place!
Getting ready to start rehab here. Very nice and clean plenty of equipment to work on
They took really good care of me after my heart attack. Great people who know how to cardiac rehab
Nice track and pool and lots of good exercise machines.
I joined because they have child care. The women who work there and AMAZING, with my 15 month old, my son likes going. I on the other hand, love that the machines upstairs overlook the trees outside and the sauna is my very favorite so far.
Nice, new gym. Good cardio, indoor track, pool. Bonus: towel service! Does have limited free weights and older clientele, so few kid-centric activities.
Went to PT here
Great doc. Super staff. (Dr Miller)
Great place to work out. Clean facility. Very helpful staff.
Convenient location, easy to schedule, good staff. Perhaps not always hard or strict enough on patients to get to goals. Lacking in communication between PT and patient.
Love going to the UNC Wellness Center. Especially enjoy working with out with my trainer, Mary H.
A great gym, with lots of great wellness and fitness classes and a friendly and welcoming staff.
Good therapist, with what they have you do to improve whatever ails you, to the optimum level you can obtain.
GREAT Medical Health Care, MD, Great Youll Love There Vast Service
Lots of good activities for older participants, especially the class for men who cant bend
The facilities themselves are very nice; locker rooms, prep areas and fitness machines included. However, this gym lacks some serious hardware. Only ene squat rack, one bench, and one Smith machine each. No incline bench, no decline bench, no preacher curl rack, no t-bar, and only three free benches. There is also nowhere to effectively and quietly drop weights (snatch, clean, deadlift). The staff and facilities themselves are great, hence the more positive than negative review, but the hardware is seriously lacking for a well-rounded athlete.
Best gym in the Triangle!
Staff are expert nurses and physical fitness champs. They care about their members.
This is a fantastic facility, but the location is terrible unless you live in or near Meadowmont. I eventually cancelled my membership because the location was just too inconvenient, but if getting out there isnt a problem for you, I think a UNC Wellness membership is worth every penny. There are all kinds of extras included in your gym membership (pool, sauna, consultations, access to medical staff), and the facilities are very clean and well maintained.
We got a family membership specifically for the indoor pool. Once in a while it gets really crowded but the facility is great and meticulously maintained.
Friendly atmosphere, very clean, caring and professional staff
My favorite daily place to exercise! Highly recommend!
Staff is VERY rude and prejudice. When addressing this issue with administration it was conveyed that they have no control over the environment. This gym is run with no structure or concern for members.
Well equipped. Helpful staff. Clean.
Did work here...great place!
Great place to exercise with people of all ages. Not your typical gym.
I loved it at first, but then had several really bad interactions with staff who were really rude. I aslo saw them being very rude to a family in the locker room who didnt speak english. I quit after that though I did lodge complaints with membership who acted like they could care less. The amentities are great, but lacking in free weights as someone else mentioned. Also it is crazy expensive. Much older clientele. I do like their class instructors but have heard from some if them that they treat them badly. Overall I was really disappointed by the staff.
Great staff, clean place, great atmosphere.
Plenty of work-out gear w/o waiting time! I’ve yet to attend a class{:~D
Google was following me, I was either dropping off or picking up a Rideshare client.
Nice, easy going atmosphere.
Great facility and staff.
Great place to workout
