I had some major repairs done on my Audi A4, but they needed to be done. They also noticed the severity of my tires and assisted me with finding a new set according to my needs. Foreign Auto Services is an amazing service shop, and sets the bar high for other auto service shops. They are a family owned business, that has been passed down through the generations from father to son. I brought in my Lexus LS and they gave me a full diagnostic.Sandy was amazing in assisting me. From this diagnostic and my interaction with them, you can tell that they take pride in their work. They value the health of your vehicle over it just being another service ticket thats going to provide money. They even recommended different coupons and specials to help you save money. I was astounded that along with the diagnostic of my vehicle, they sent a PDF file via email that had videos attached further explaining and educating about the different parts that were needed. I will definitely be taking my vehicle here for regular service and 100% recommend their services. They will not leave you disappointed.

Went in to get my wheel alignment, it was my first time coming here. I was told I was emailed an attachment that shows my car inspection and they even included photos with what work my car needed. Very good quality service experience. Impressive digital inspection reports with photos.Downside was the time they took to complete the service. I just had oil change and tire rotations performed and it took them close to 2 hours. Since i decided to wait until service is done with advance appointment, i was expecting to be done within an hour.

Took my Mercedes SUV for turbo coolant line replacement that was broken. I am very pleased with the service I received from FAS and they were able to fix my car in timely manner . Stacy was my point of contact and she was very professional. I will definitely take my cars to them for future repairs.

Came in about a month ago with a groupon for an oil change. All the workers were masked up and socially distance for the safety of others. The whole process took about two-three hours and I was able to go in and out just like that feeling satisfied with the service. They do a complimentary inspection on your car with a digital analysis sent to you on what might need some work done. I am planning on coming back soon to get some problems fixed on my car because I can see that they seem to pride themselves for their service.

Carlos assisted me with booking my appointment and telling me everything they found during the inspection. I was also emailed an incredibly detailed inspection of my car. It included pictures of my car parts and the condition they were in and it even explained the function of parts and why it’s essential to the car. There was no pressure to get extra work done and they were extremely honest about the value of my car and if the work needed was worth it. Absolutely amazing job I would recommend everyone here.

They did my wheel alignment, couple miles away I notice my steering wheel is not in center. At first I did not wona complain, but after few days I decide to give them a call and let them correct, place steering wheel in center. I have taken my car again, waited for 1.5 hours. And got a call to get back, pick uo my car. I was told they will not be able to put my steering wheel in center since my bushings on rack and pinion are bad and my steering wheel will never be in center.At first they did not notice this problem.At second they have noticed this as a problem.Week later I took my car to Toyota, ask if I am having problem with bushings on my rack and pinion, they said No, did my alignment, and my steering wheel is in center, does not move no where after few months it is still in center.

The free sanitization service provided on my vehicle was an awesome bonus, not to mention the fantastic free report sent to me of my with pictures showing me the condition of my fluids, filters, brakes and tires. I bought a used vehicle from a CarMax dealership that claimed they did a state inspection and it passed. I had my suspicions and decided to take my 2010 Lexus RX 350 to FAS. Out of the many service shops I have experienced over the years, no one has done as thorough of an inspection as they have. They email you a report with pictures included of the diagnosed parts. A dear friend recommended Foreign Auto Services to me, and they diagnosed the problem quickly, fully explaining everything in a way that I could understand. They didn’t try to up sell me AT ALL, which has been the norm with the dealer where I had gone previously. I’m thrilled to be driving my car safely again with no noise. These guys are AMAZING!! I had this pesky light that kept coming on so I finally took it to go get it checked out. Originally took it to the dealership and they wanted to charge me an insane amount of money. (They clearly just did not want to work on my car) Then I took it to Carlos, he was so helpful and they really tell you exactly what is wrong. The dealership had my car for about two weeks Carlos diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in two days! It was incredible and he did not try and up charge me like the dealership was trying to. So nice to have heat again! The heater blower in my wifes 2013 Mercedes ML350 quit on one of the coldest days of the year - Carlos and team were able to take the car the same day (during an ice storm). Diagnosis was quick (turned out that a wiring harness connector has fried out and was giving an intermittent connection) - instead of replacing the entire harness (BIG bucks on a Merc), they were able to source most the parts locally to replace just the burnt connectors and then spent the weekend finding the rest from all over the country. Everything was buttoned up by COB on Monday and my wife is a happy camper. Carlos and Jim were very professional throughout - lots of updates on where they were and their approach. Best part was that their pricing was transparent and they saved me a TON of money. Highly recommend.

I called Foreign Auto Services (based on a referral from my neighbor, who said the mechanics are great) on Friday afternoon with safety issues with my sons car identified at another car repair shop. He was planning to drive to Florida in 2 days and the shop could not get the parts for the exhaust system for many days. When I spoke to Jim on the phone and explained the situation, he asked all the pertinent information and told me he could not only fix the exhaust system on Saturday, but also would check over the car as if it were his own sons car. He identified several other issues that were not identified at the other shop, and sent pictures of safety issues. He made a list of what needs to be done now and what items can wait a few months. He was able not only to fix the exhaust, but also the rear brakes which were metal on metal. He also suggested while he was repairing the issues with the car, I research a place to get tires installed before the trip. Jim offered to stay late if the repairs were not done before his shop closed on Saturday. The prices were better than the initial shop I went to and everything was handled professionally and with genuine care about the customer and their safety. Jim was so calming and helpful when I was scrambling to get all the repairs and tires installed in 1 day, that it all worked out. My son was able to leave on time and safely arrived to Florida with no car problems at all. Thank you Jim and Foreign Auto Services, you have won me over as a customer for my other cars!

I brought my Mercedes in to have a 4 wheel alignment done instead of going to Mercedes of Arlington as I did last year because they were on Costco list of auto services where I can get discount on services for being a Costco member, and they are much closer to home. Even though There 2 other cars ahead of mine, the service was done within 3 hours instead of an entire day. Their price was also about half that at the dealership. They explained all that they would do and checked and answered all my questions. I was very impressed with their service and wished that I had known about them sooner. I will be bringing my Mercedes back to them after the service warranty expire. I will also bring our Honda minivan to them moving forward for all oil change and other services as needed.

Honestly, Ive been to several shops and Ive really liked this one. they did a full on inspection of my 2012 Toyota Sienna and told me what I needed repaired or replaced. I really appreciated the fact that they didnt push me to do anything then and there. all the staff seemed super friendly and I appreciated their friendly attitudes at 8 AM (especially when youre still half asleep). I dropped off my car at 8:30, took about 2 minutes to get everything done, and I was on my way. they quoted me about 3 hours and finished within 2. great service (on my car and customer wise), highly recommend!

The shop was clean, everything was sanitized during Covid, and when I drove my car home it immediately felt like a silkier drive. This shop came highly recommended, and for good reason. Mike was my point of contact throughout the whole process, and he was extremely polite, professional, and thorough. He told me my car would be running better than it had in a long time, and he was right. They did wonderful work! When I went to leave, I noticed a new issue with my car that was completely unrelated to the reasons I brought it in. Really bad customer service. I scheduled an apt. for an oil change and called before because I was running a few minutes late. When I called someone hung up in my face. I called back and the guy made up several lies such as it takes an hour to sanitize the car etc and could not complete the service. I would not recommend!

First time experience with Eric and the Foreign Auto Services team was great. I made an appointment last minute online and was able to drop my car off the next morning. About two hours after dropping off my car, I received a thorough email report outlining all the details of my inspection. Each item was sorted as Good, Needs Future Attention, or Needs Immediate Attention. The report provided a detail of the issue, the justification for any action, and pictures of my car specifically to show the issue in detail. Eric then called me to talk through the inspection report in greater detail. After another couple hours, I was notified that I could come pick up my car. After picking up my car, Eric talked me through the issues in person and provided guidance and insight as requested. Would highly recommend Foreign Auto Services and the team. As a non-car guy, having the inspection report prior to discussing on the phone with Eric was exactly what I wanted. Rather than having someone talk about the issues and try to explain on the phone, I was able to look at the issues and research them myself to better prepare prior to my call with Eric.

These guys are great. I was able to easily schedule an appointment only along with a real time chat session with one of the guys. Their customer management system works very well. No consumer ever wants to feel taken, or worse yet, be taken but man did Jim get me good at Foreign Auto! The problem is that to him its business as usual.The story: 2002 VW TDI I use as an airport car in Dulles, Virginia. I drop it off to have the ac serviced/diagnosed and an oil change prior to a Thursday evening flight to Germany returning Saturday after their close of business. Plan is to have my spouse call Saturday AM to get an update and make payment so I can retrieve after hours. In this Saturday AM call JIM advises my wife the brakes are worn beyond limits and car is dangerous to drive. Also tells her rear wheel calipers are shot and car will not be ready due to caliper part availability. Wife verbally authorizes $1400.00 repair quote (mistake she readily acknowledges but genuinely concerned for my safety).The problem: what my wife does not know and Jim fails to research is that just 5200 miles ago Foreign Auto Service (YES, the same exact facility) replaced the rear brakes ($600) and also sent photos of the front brakes advising they were fine. When I returned and phoned Jim on the following Monday he sounded the exact same way your child does when their hand is in the cookie jar. Told me he wouldnt charge for the rear brake components and the adjusted invoice was now $1300.00. When I went to pick up the car and question the adjusted invoice Jim now stated the $1400.00 quote didnt include the $360 in rear calipers. When I explained it had to because that was the reason you told her the car wouldnt be ready he struggled to tell me hes been in this business for 30 years and doesnt appreciate what Im saying. He had nothing else to share (including any worn parts) so I paid the $1300 and left and drove away in my UNairconditioned Jetta. The brakes felt exactly the same as when I brought the car in!The moral: people who have too much money should take their car to Foreign Auto Service, but if you’re rich still dont work with Jim cause hell take your money and your sense of decency in people from you!RESPONSE TO OWNER: The Internet is a powerful tool and Yelp is a positive tool that can inform and protect consumers. You had my number and I informed Jim specifically I’d be posting a review/warning to others. He knew when I said that that there was nothing he could do (including no charge at all) that would preclude me from posting something and you didn’t call because you also knew I would not take this review down as there is actually quite a bit more (the serpentine belt had just been replaced 122 miles previously at a firestone facility with no note of brake issues...oops!) that I did not include. I’m a very fortunate consumer because I can absorb the financial loss. I came to your shop with air conditioning that worked but only had a 15 degree drop. $1300 later I left with no air. The pink painted brakes, rotors and struts in your waiting room speak volumes on the consumer you are targeting and they need to be informed. If you’re pricing is high I, as a consumer, can compare shop. But you and I both know that’s not the situation here. I stand by my complete narrative and you can cling to your response.

Very knowledgeable staff and professional customer service. I replaced front brakes for an Audi S4 three years ago and was told at the time that the rear was OK. Now it was finally time to replace the rear set and I was quoted an nearly identical price to the original. Both of the estimates were better than the dealership. In and out the same day.

I have a 2006 Escalade with 304,000 miles. The reason I’m still driving it is because of Foreign Auto Services. They have taken great care of my vehicles over the last 13 years A few years back they moved to Chantilly and it’s worth the extra time to drive there to have them service my vehicles

Carlos and Mike are very friendly and informative.They are quick with follow-up calls. I also like their detail reports about the issues with my car and the next steps. The prices for services are reasonable. I definitely recommend this auto shop!

Good prices, fast service, courteous and knowledgeable personnel who did not try to oversell, modern office, automatic notifications for order status, ability to see service history online. I got an online report with pictures (!!!!) for each problem area. I am sold:)

Brought my car in for routine maintenance and Foreign Auto Services did a great job at a reasonable price. Also asked them to check my tire inflation monitor since the light would not go off. They said that my tires were fine and that to save money dont invest in changing the batteries at this time but wait until I need new tires and then pay to fix the light indicator. Very honest business. Will definitely go back for all future automotive maintenance needs.
