I took my car to three different places to fix the leak in my tire but they couldn’t find the problem. I went online and found PBC Automotive. I read all their good reviews and decided to go with them. They did such a great job. They took my car inside the shop and 15 minutes later they found the tiny nail in my tire. Nothing but great things to say about this place! I popped my tire last week and I was leaving for vacation the next day. They were able to fit me in right away! I needed 4 new tires and they had my car done within hours of me bringing it to them. I live in Arlington and I’ll always drive the extra distance because of how reliable these guys are. Brought Cris and Ruy a 2002 Miata for a head-to-toe inspection. They got it done quickly and explained what I needed, including which repairs I could wait to make, without pushing extra services on me.I brought back the car for repairs the next day (new battery, new shift boots, couple other small things) and they got it done right away, first thing in the morning.As a young guy with an old car, I really appreciated their expertise and their respect. They earned my trust and I will definitely be back in the future.

This place is hands down the best automotive shop in Virginia. The mechanics here are detail oriented and very knowledgeable. The shop has a quick turn around time and very reasonable pricing. I’ve been dealing with this shop for almost a year now and my experience with them has always been 100% positive. Most recently, I had them do a custom spec alignment on my 240sx which has a few adjustable arms. Arik T. got the whole car dialed to my specs with ease! The car now drives better than ever! With very competitive prices (usually the lowest in the area) and stellar service, this shop has earned a customer for life.

Brought my Nissan GTR here. Christian did an amazing job mounting and balancing my wheels and tires. All 4 balanced to perfection and the car drives perfectly. Would definitely recommend this shop. Christian is a joy to talk to and a very honest person.

Cheating people with initial quote and later they’ll add up more doubling the initial quote for very small additional things when the work is into halfway saying that it’s taking long after spending few hours of time which makes u to pay as you can’t go in the middle.. if you wanna get service at this place get the final quote printed out else they will spoil your day and time

I bought a NB1 Miata knowing I had a great shop to work on my car in my backyard. I dropped it off with them to go over the whole thing. Turns out, there was a good amount of work to do along with a couple things I wanted done. During the whole process everyone working there was very enthusiastic about taking me back to the car and pointing out exactly what the problems were and how they were going to fix it. There were no surprises. Their enthusiasm for the car itself, doing good quality work, wanting me to understand everything they were doing and guaranteeing their work made it much easier to swallow what was a pretty big bill. That isnt on them, the pricing is fair and what I expected.

I’ve had tires mounted on high end wheels here multiple times and PBC always does an excellent job. They take extra care to make sure wheels aren’t marked when installing tires.This is my go to shop in the area and I highly recommend them.

I live in Toronto, Canada and decided to take a road trip to Chantilly to visit family.Before I left Toronto, I took my car to have a tire changed. They should have rotated the tires at that point but did not. They did however send me to get an alignment, which I did. While there, I asked that technician to check my brakes as I was about to go on a long drive. He went into the shop and in less than 5 minutes came back and told me that my brakes needed changing and quoted me a ridiculous price. I took the trip anyway.However, once I got to Virginia, I noticed a vibration when I mashed the brakes. Since I was told that my brakes needed to be changed, I started to panic. My cousin then referred me to her mechanic (Christian at PBC Automotive) for him to take a look. I showed up at his shop without an appointment and he found a way to fit me in. He inspected my brakes and said that they were fine and were still at 80%. He checked my tires and said that they were fine too, but that I should take them for a balance and rotation when I got home. While I was there, I asked for an oil change. They didnt have my filter in stock and the parts place could not deliver it for another 30 minutes or so, so Christian jumped into his car and went to pick it up himself. Who does that? A super amazing mechanic and business man, Christian, thats who. I recommend PBC Automotive because they are honest, and courteous, which is such an understatement for the service I received. PROFESSIONAL service, FANTASTIC staff, GREAT experience!!I have been taking my cars to this body shop for years, and even though they are focused on Mazda Miata based service work, I have never had an issue with taking my Isuzu Rodeo to them for any repair or maintenance services. The staff is very quick to help you even when they are busy working on cars. The manager Christian especially presents himself well as a extremely knowledgeable and professional human being who is very eager to assist you. I would highly recommend friends and family alike, as well as anyone else who is looking for a grade A automotive service shop.

I went to PBC Automotive last Wednesday to ask if they had a 2 inch hole saw and could cut an insert for top hats or in other words extended strut mounts. The owner said of course. He quoted $471 to install top hats, a speed sensor and replace an o ring in the cars distributor.I drop the car off at 9am on Friday, they call me at 11am because they dont know how to use the original rubber bushings with the new top hats. They also mention having to buy the proper tools to do the job because they did not have them. I call the manufacturer of the top hats and tell them to call the mechanic. The manufacturer calls them and talks for 30 minutes to explain how to install the top hats.I check on the car at 6pm, the owner says they installed the speed sensor and o ring, tells me he is going to change me two extra hours and I can pick the car up the next day. I get to the shop 12pm on Saturday, no speed sensor was installed because they need to replace the heater hose and cant find one.On top of that, my strut was bent but they reinstalled it anyway. The mechanic tells me I am going to need to replace it soon. I complained but paid them $571 to get my car out of their shop. Keep in mind, the original price of just installing the top hats $295. I go outside and look at my car, my hood is crooked because the mechanic didnt check the clearance of the strut tower. The mechanic has an attitude and says he thought the car’s hood sat that way because it is a 1991. They have cars from the 60’s in the parking lot that are straight, he’s clearly trying to piss me off.I ask him to shave a few cm off the strut tower to get the hood to fit, he shaves the whole top of the strut off. I tell him that I didnt ask him to do that and his reply was “I know I did that because you are irritating me, I told you I could of cut the hood.. This guy never said a thing about cutting the hood. Now my hood is damaged, and both of my struts are damaged.The speed sensor I need to pass inspection was never installed. Their customer service was horrible, no one called me to state they needed another strut to install or a heater hose to install the speed sensor. My overall experience with PBC Automotive was horrible. Beware of taking your car here, they do not respect other people’s things or take pride in their work.

Stopped in because I happened to be in the area and I was overwhelmed by how friendly and helpful everyone was there. They took me on a tour of some of the projects they were working on and gave me some great insight on my build. If you own a miata I would highly recommend getting your work done here and they also have a large selection of new and used parts in stock if you prefer to do your own maintenance. This shop is way out of my way but I will be returning based on the awesome experience I had

Worst of all time..worst of any service..

I went there to test drive one of their Miatas. I didnt end up buying it but I was amazed by how professional and friendly these guys are. Two days later I found my little Miata somewhere else but I look forward to bringing it to PBC for service and upgrades. Also, they have a nice collection of cool cars around the shop. Thank you :)

These guys are great auto enthusiasts. They dont recommend any service that I dont need. Christian replaced the top on my Miata; he did an excellent job.

Had a good experience with Chris and his shop when I had to replace the engine in my 1990 Miata on short notice. They helped me source the engine, kept me informed throughout the whole process and did a great job with the inspection, building and installation of the engine. Chris also took the time to show me his shop and explain all the problems they discovered with the old engine, which he actually disassembled on his own time because he was curious. Generally, these guys seem to know their Miatas and seem to care about the quality of their work and their reputation.

Great place to take your Miata. They are absolute specialist and know everything about the car. Everyone is very nice and helpful when explaining issues with the car.

I dont usually leave reviews, but I am doing so to share my experience with ppl. I got an used Lexus GS 350 F sport and had alignment and wheel balancing done from a dealer and I still had vibration issue. Only possible issue at this point was on tires, but I wanted to stop by this store before dropping $$ on new set of tires. Chris, the owner/mechanics inspected underneath my car without asking and confirmed all parts were original parts without any major accident from previous owner. And he suggested to put one tire on wheel balancing machine to see how it is... well.. as I suspected, all 4 wheels were off balanced and he rebalanced all 4 wheels. Bottom line, my vibration issue is gone. And I can tell you that Chris will take good care of your car like his baby. Not kidding.. he uses all special tools not to leave any scratches on wheels (even when taking off old weights on tires) and he spent enough time to take good care of my car till the end. I was very pleased with the work done on my 1999 Dodge Viper ACR. VP, Dwayne, and Christian did an outstanding job with the repairs and new exhaust. Nothing was rushed and the professionalism of the team though out the process was obvious. I highly reocmmend these Viper Techs!

My car broke down outside their shop. They were friendly and eager to help. If I had went anywhere else I probably would have had to replace my alternator, when it was actually a blown fuse on the battery terminal. They work on all cars but he also he specializes in Japanese cars so if anyone wants work done hes youre guy.

Very disappointed with the customer service at PBC. I made an appointment with Chris (the owner) days in advance for a simple oil change. When I arrived at the agreed upon time, he wasnt even there. Another shop attendant then proceeds to tell me their bay is full and it was impossible to accommodate my appointment. He did not even attempt to offer any help or escalate the issue. This was the second time that they did not honor my time, and wasted my mileage and fuel to boot.===================================Update: The owner, Chris, noticed my feedback and called me to explain his side of the situation. I will just say that he ran into some difficult circumstances and had to be away from the shop, and he offered to perform the oil change free of charge to rectify their mistake. I told him that while I empathized with his situation, the service mishandling goes beyond him being there and its difficult to consider giving another chance, but I appreciate the call and it indicates that they genuinely try to make it work.

This place is just no ordinary auto repair center particularly for Miata enthusiasts! These guys take their work VERY SERIOUSLY down to a point where car repairs becomes an art! I have never seen such passion and dedication in fixing cars.Went in to repair my Miatas leaky engine and Chris walked me through everything and explained to me exactly where my car went wrong. He gave me a very reasonable price even updating me with real-time pics of the progress of the work. Chris stayed at his shop late to MAKE SURE every last detail of my engine was fixed properly to his satisfaction and guess what? He even let me drive his own personal car the entire day so I could get to work! What auto shops let you do that?Naturally, I felt very well taken care of knowing my car was in good hands and now its like Chris is my brother! Had I taken it to an ordinary shop they would have done just an average job and made a buck. Not here,. These guys are obsessed with repairing and fixing up cars. Another good thing for Miata owners is that the center has a very communal feel to it. You get to meet other Miata owners and see how theyve pimped out their rides. Such a great way to connect with new folks! Theres even a Miatas club you can join!The Thanks PBC for the awesome work, no more leaks, my car literally runs like new and couldnt happier.
