My package was lost and there’s no way besides waiting for 2 hours to get an alive people to answer the call and let them tell you that you need to go to the postal office in person to ask where me package is. And the great beautiful elegant lady in the office will tell you your package is GONE in person. And when I was waiting for my friend to mail by the window and browsing news on my phone, this great lady come to me specially leftish every other customers on the window and shouted to me: YOUR PACKAGE IS GONE! NO MATTER WHO YOU TEXT AND CALL!!” All I can say is wow! Couldn’t receive worse service in my entire life!

I was supposed to get all my books for college this semester and never got them, the college sent them and all this office did was mark it as delivered then never got back to me. I had to order a refund and struggle without my books.For a more recent thing, I was previously sent a hand made plush animal a friend made for me, and it’s marked as delivered, yet the box hasent arrived in 2 days.

If there were zero stars, that would be my rating. My advice: when you have the option, use any other USPS facility in the area other than the Neil Street branch. This is the kind of customer service (either slow or rude, you can pick your line) that makes one dread returning. They even made one of my co-workers cry, a very sweet young person. Additionally, we mail packages all over the country and people in this distribution area get damaged mail with greater frequency than any other.

I have never seen worse customer service in a public place in my life. I used to work in customer service and I was not listened to when explaining the package was intercepted. the representative sent me to another city to get my packages when it turned out to be actually transit. I wanted to talk to the supervisor calmly about the situation but she was extremely belligerent and wouldn’t even let me speak. I kept my cool and just wanted an explanation or just a small apology. She spoke to me in an arrogant and supercilious tone. And offered me no apology for wasting 2 hours of my day off. I never complain and this experience put me in shock. I can’t even explain how bad it was, you just have to witness it first hand.. or not.

I find it very sad as well as frightening that the postal service, along with the DNC is pushing so hard for Vote By Mail. FIVE times since February 2020 the Champaign Postal service has delivered THE WRONG MAIL to my house! Do you really think I would trust MY vote in your hands? If anything, the USPS should be eliminated! It’s THE most inefficient government Seevice for the money. The USPS postage prices keep rising while efficiency and performance decreases. Typical bureaucracy! Just like Governor Pritzker; it’s big, expensive, and doesn’t do anything right!

Quite possibly the worst experience I have had in the postal industry. Ordered a gift with the intention of it being two days late and it’s still not here even a day past that. Drove from home (over 2 hours) with the intention of being able to claim my package, but ended up being too much to ask for. No order what so ever, no planning, no communication. Would have given 0/5 stars but that wasn’t an option.

This is the worst post office I have ever dealt with. Our mail carrier delivers when he wants to and I have no idea where a lot of my mail is! Many times I have been told did you get my... and the answer is no. Literally, the carrier stops at my house maybe once a week. I am missing cards, bills, replacement cards. The postmaster is not concerned at all - she said I doubt that its being thrown away... OK, so where is my missing mail?

Today I tried to cash a postal money order. After finding out there were problems with the money order. It was suggested I go to this post office for assistance on what I should do next. Instead of assistance, l was met with 4 police officers. Had I not gotten timely help from my friend who sent me that money order that was incorrectly created I may have gone to jail. I will never step in to this facility ever again and recommend anyone else reading this never use this location.

Reading the reviews from other people whove been abused by workers at this post office confirms my feeling that theyve been doing stuff to me. Last week I got a coupon booklet with this post offices cancel all over the coupons, which had my name printed on them—as though to say that Ive been cancelled (blacklisted). Not long before that, they purposely delayed a package I sent to an eBay customer. It shouldve taken 3 days, but instead took about 5 weeks for the package to reach him. I know it was this post office that was responsible, because they also purposely neglected to enter it into the system for tracking information. These people need to understand that their behavior is ILLEGAL and that the Trump administration is working to STAMP OUT federal employees who participate in it!

I just shipped out 2 packages there and the employees were super helpful. I was mailing something in a 12x18 picture frame and none of their standard boxes worked, but one lady (Vernessa) had an old box in the back that worked perfectly! Everyone was polite. Shocked to see such a low rating for this post office.

This morning at the Neil Street PO, the counter staff member who served me would not listen to me. She cut me off mid-sentence. She started cutting into the package -- because she wouldnt listen to me. (Thank goodness I was able to stop her.) She was the rudest postal worker I have EVER encountered. Leaving a positive review because Im very happy with the service I received yesterday and today. Yesterday afternoon I called the Post Office to ask about a package that had been stuck at the USPS Distribution Center for 4 days and hadnt been forwarded or sent out. It should have been delivered on Saturday. I was frustrated and a little rude, to be honest, but the man I spoke to was kind, took down my tracking number & name & phone number, and said he would look into it and call me back. Yeah right, I thought. I sent an email to the company that the package is from asking for help or a potential re-ship. This morning, less that 24 hours later, Jerry (I think that was his name!) called and left me a message saying the package had arrived at the post office, that it would be delivered today, and to call him if I had any further issues. Thank you so much for your help and follow-through; I really appreciate it!

I dont even know why we are served by this location as we are close to the Mattis location, but whatever. They must send all the idots to deliver on our route as they can never seem to figure out that we dont have a box at the street because our mail is supposed to be delievered to the cluster box near the leasing office. So often our mail gets returned to sender or it takes forever to get to us. Also a lot of times we get mail that is for other units in our box within the cluster box. So how many things of ours have been miselivered and we wouldnt even know?Now since I get the daily digest emails, we got notifcation that we had a package coming that we were not expecting. We checked the tracking and it said it was delivered, except we had no package in our mailbox. Im trying to call and figure out whats going on and Im still on hold. This is so stupid.

I was supposed to get a package, which I had been looking so forward to. The package was delivered at my doorstep, apparently. I didnt get it though. When I checked with the USPS facility, they said someone is looking into it and took my number promising to call me. They didnt. This happened twice. They also refused to share the tracking information so that I can tell the seller that the package has not been delivered. They asked me to get the seller to call them. Very incompetent people.

I have been waiting for a package for about a week now. They supposedly delivered it twice and supposedly left a notice. I have been present for both delivery attempts and I have not once heard a knock on my door nor received a delivery notice. Worst post office to go to in the county. I had a package sent to me two months ago. My tracking kept saying it was at the office so I went up there to get it. The employee told me it mustve been sent back to the seller. Well of that was the case it would say so when I look up tracking I send enough packages and receive to know better. On top of they lost my paycheck from October and now cant get a new check until after Christmas. Anyways 3 weeks after I went up there and made a call to the USPS 800 number they magically found my package. If you can avoid it DONT go through this post office. The one on mattis ave is WAY better. Theres a reason why you guys have terrible ratings. Maybe you should fix it and hire better employees who can do their job right

This is absolutely the poorest excuse of a post office I have ever interacted with. This location needs to be purged, and new employees who are willing to do their job need to take the place of these grossly lazy, rude, incompetent podunks. I was expecting a package today. I happened to be home when I received an email stating that my package could not be delivered. If the driver had merely knocked on the door, this would not have been a problem. He/she did not even leave a slip stating who to call or where to go to get the package. Isnt the whole point of online delivery to receive items at your door? Why am I paying shipping when I am expected to go pick up my item? This is one thing, but when I called to inquire about my missing parcel, the man on the other end of the phone was short and rude with me, as if I was in the wrong. Shut this place down.

This post office has lost or misdelivered at least 15 packages in the 5 months Ive lived in the area. I have contacted the postmaster several times but have not seen improvement. I have no difficulties with UPS or FedEx. I would advise you to purchase a UPS box instead.

They are not just rude. They dont want to work at all. My package arrived at the post office from Europe and it cost me a lot of money. Since the website where I bought the item was in Dutch I did not include street name and building no properly. Therefore, they returned it, even though my phone no and email were on the label. So I came the next day and asked them to stop the process of returning because I saw that on the app that they were returning it and they said they could not because there are so many tracking numbers and they would not be able to find it! Is this a reason? And isnt that their job? And then they said you need to talk the person you bought the item from and ask him/her to ship it back again once it arrives there!!

They have allegedly delivered two packages that I have not gotten. I’ve been there several times asking abt the packages and they have no answers.Every person that works at the counter is rude and in no hurry to help you. In fact, I walked in one day to pick up a package, that I now have held there because of the two they lost, and as I walked up to the counter, the guy working said “not you again”....and it wasn’t in a joking way.These people seem extremely unhappy with their jobs and life.

This company has disappointed me twice in one week. I left for vacation and called to ask them to hold my package. The lady over the phone told me that this was perfectly fine and shed write a note to let the workers know that Id be in to pick it up upon my return. When going to retrieve my package, I was informed that they had already sent it back to the sender. Being that it was my birthday week, I had another package being sent to me and after three delivery attempts they sent it back to the sender yet again. I am grateful that they are willing to attempt delivery 3 times, but to send it back without even notifying me shows the lack of customer service skills that this company possesses.

I work at a car dealership and have had issues MULTIPLE times with the Neil St. post office in the 8 months Ive been here. This time, the mail carrier does not go to our mail box and instead leaves the mail somewhere in the building without checking outgoing mail, so our mail just sits in the box for a week. My first phone call with Sarah was very pleasant, and she let us know to call the post office again if the issue continues to happen. As expected, the mail was once again left in the building without the mail box ever being checked. I called and talked to an employee today about 12pm, who did not give her name. She was the most unpleasant, nasty person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to, did not ask for the business address, and tried to argue with me that we should just hand our mail to the mail carrier so he doesnt have to go to our mail box. She then proceeded to hang up on me, and I guarantee the mail box will continue to be left unchecked. This business is a joke, and if I could rate it zero stars I would.

Never pick up their phone, dont attempt to make overnight deliveries to apartment buildings, dont call the sender or recipient when they cant find an address to an apartment building. They basically just dont care, and because they are a government agency, there is no where to complain. Use UPS or another delivery system if you want to get something important to someone in Champaign quickly!

I have called a lot of times, but they just wont pick it up. I even guess there is no use of the phone there. My package was delivered by FedEx, and was transited to USPS, they didnt even call me when the package was delivery exemption. There is nothing wrong with my address, because all other packages delivered by UPS arrived. But I even dont know whether they have ever tried to deliver my package and they have left nothing (even no delivery form) to me. It has been five days, no notification, no delivery, no phone. I dont want to go such a long distance to do something I should have done through phone call!

I would give this place zero stars if allowed. I posted a review two days ago and noticed it still hasnt posted. Our mail is delivered all bunched up in a ball or severely creased. If you call to complain to this office the people are very rude and now wont even let us talk to a manager. I posted a picture of our mail and of course that isnt posted either. Such a sad business. We just received another magazine all bent up and torn. We pay for these magazines and this is how they come. This is just unacceptable.

Very frustrated. Postal carrier delivered package to the wrong address and then marked it delivered on tracking. Of course if tracking says delivered, everybody involved with the transaction says there is nothing that can be done. I was instructed to fill out a report and diligently waded through the USPS menus and after lengthy hold time, did this very thing. This however has gotten me nowhere. National says call local and local says call national. Meanwhile for me it is a loss. Package lost, time lost, and weeks of stress. Well postal service I give up, you win, and have earned your 1 star.

Trying to resolve an issue with a lost package, its borderline impossible to actually get someone on the phone. Either no one answers or its busy. Its 2015, they have these new things called phones with call waiting...If youre lucky enough to get someone on the phone (Im about 1 for 25 right now), Theres only 1 person who can help you with claims and chances are theyre busy. It shouldnt be this difficult or require this much effort from the customer to resolve an issue created by USPS.

I was expecting a gift from my boyfriend. He entered the correct mailing address into the shipping information. The package was mis-delivered. I understand mistakes happen, Id just like someone to make it right, please. Ive called, visited, made a claim online and this issue has still not been resolved. Its been 2 weeks.Monday my boyfriend received a notice that the package was delivered.I checked the mail, nothing was there.Tuesday morning I called asking what we can do to get my package. They located where it was delivered based on their scanners and explained it was mis-delivered. They said theyll call the carrier and have them retrieve it.I waited until the end of Wednesday- no call, no mail, so I called them and asked for an update. They said when they tried to retrieve it nothing was in the mailbox. Moreover, the apartment appears to be vacant.Were human, I dont expect people to be perfect, but I would have at least liked an update from the carrier who was supposed to call me the day this issue was addressed. The person I called asked, Can you order another one?. Even if I could, I dont think I should be financially responsible because this is truly a mistake on USPS part.If my boyfriend entered the wrong address when purchasing this gift or the package was mislabeled then we would take responsibility, but because we did everything right on our end I was extremely disappointed that they could only try again tomorrow and wont reimburse my boyfriend for their mistake.Thursday I spoke with a gentleman who tried to help me, put me on hold, and then transferred the line to another woman who I had to explain the situation and give the tracking number to again. People are busy and pulled different ways, I get it; I just want someone to care and take this seriously. Im sure they get claims often and its frustrating to hear when somethings wrong, but Im politely asking them to work with me to find a solution.I spoke in person with the woman who handles claims and she said shed have her supervisor deliver a letter to the mailbox asking for the person who received it to return it. The letter wasnt on letterhead. My only problem with this is that I probably wouldnt have taken that notice seriously if I received it. It wasnt professional, and Im not sure why this wasnt done on Tuesday when I called. The more days that passed seemed to worsened the situation. To add, you cant put in a claim into the USPS website until its been 7 days since the expected delivery. (7 days too late..)I asked if they could put anything in writing to support their mistake so we could show this to the vendor my boyfriend purchased the gift from. On the vendors end, once the package delivers theyre no longer responsible for making and re-shipping a new one. While it has a delivered status, it was MIS-delivered. The only thing USPS could provide was a print out on Google Maps where the package was delivered. I could have printed this out myself, so why will the vendor take this seriously?I personally went to the location and the owner was in his yard. He said the apartment hadnt been rented since December. Im a little confused as to who took the package out of the mailbox if no ones been living there. Ive heard bad stories about people taking packages off front door steps, but I cant help but think what would have happened if this was properly delivered? They said the vendor should have gotten insurance on the package. I dont disagree, however, what should be done when its a case of mis-delivery and a mistake on USPS? I should have insurance if the package is broken when delivered, or if it was lost in transit, but why are you making the receiver pay the price for your mistake? Please help.

Dont use USPS!I sent one package to China and it is lost! USPS says they will do nothing because I didnt buy issuance! Last time I used their service, my package was broken! The blond old lady at this location is very rude. Didn’t listen to what I asked carefully, used rude language, and was being very impatient. I read the bad comments of this location and prepared myself before I went in. Oh boy, the rudeness just shocked me. Even other customers were shocked by the way she treated me. Words cannot express how irritated I am with this post office. Recently, I had two packages marked UNDELIVERABLE - INCORRECT ADDRESS. I received a few other shipments of the SAME order just fine. My address was autofilled by my computer and personally verified with the merchant. So clearly, my address was CORRECT. Upon finding out that my orders had been sent back to the merchant, I called this post office to see why. Just WHY. The lady, Pam, keeps telling me that I had the incorrect address. So I explain to her that this is NOT the first time. That my address was VERIFIED with the merchant. That I had received a portion of the SAME order just fine. Her response? Communicate that with your merchant. Make sure you have the right address. So I proceed to tell her that even if I were to reorder this exact shipment, I would put THE SAME address I had put BEFORE because IT IS THE CORRECT ADDRESS AND I WOULD KNOW BECAUSE I LIVE HERE AND HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. Instead of apologizing to me for any inconveniences or admitting that it was potentially someones incompetence, she told me to make sure to put the correct address again. Second time they claimed they left notice in my mailbox, which was totally not true, decided to send my express international package back and didnt even give anything to track it. WHat the!! . My girlfriend sent package with wrong zipcode so I went this place. One crazy woman asked me to write a form and I did. i wait 20min again and she said are you go to school? Seems she think I didnt get anything but I did get it. I feel so annoying and she ignore me several times. Im not a stupid as much as that woman. Never go this place. They’re rude asf for no reason. didn’t even know basic information about their redelivery rules and costs. i had to call 7 times to get connected to someone and the guy i got connected to hung up on me right after he picked up

In person service has almost always been fine, except for peak times of the day when two counters are open and there is a line to the door. Tried calling about a package I hadnt recieved and never got an answer after 11 attempts.

I went to this place often before for selling my items on Ebay. One old woman with golden short hair has a disgusting face and terrible mood when she talks to customers. She deserves nothing and should be eliminated from any job which relates to communication. She is one of the rudest person I ever met in my life. The only thing that fulfills her miserable life is shame for sure. :)

Until they fix their phones, this post office doesnt deserve anything higher than a 1, in my opinion. While their in-person service was completely normal for any given post office, I wouldnt have had to even visit the office in-person in the first place if I were able to get a single call through to them to clear up why my package was lost. It was medicine that I needed, too! I tried over 10 times to get a call through, to no avail.Try calling right now (if its within business hours, obviously)! It wont even ring, itll immediately go straight to a busy tone. Like another reviewer said, its the year 2015, what the hell kind of business doesnt have an automated phone system? As an experiment, I called this location multiple times while I was standing at the actual front desk, waiting for my package to be found in the back. I didnt hear a single phone ring anywhere (and there was at least one directly in my line of sight)! I suspect they simply have the phones off the hook. It was completely silent in there.When asked (nicely, too!) about the phone situation, the postperson was very dismissive/ignorant about it (as if people have complained about this before), simply claiming I dunno, theres people answering them all the time in the back, we just get a lot of phone calls. First of all, wouldnt an unreasonable amount of phone calls basically necessitate an automated system? Secondly, I seriously doubt Champaign is a big enough city to have people literally calling that place *all* the time, to the point that it goes immediately to a busy signal whenever you call. Thats bullshit. Im from NYC, how come I can call my home post office and get through there easily, every time? Because they know that having an automated phone system is actually necessary to run a business like this? Frickin absurd. Theres something about this horrible phone situation that seems intentional to me.

Packages are constantly lost. Mail is often misdelivered. Do not try to ask for redelivery, even though it was not delivered because the carrier did not want to come to the door to get the signature, they will not redeliver. Package slips very rarely left. If you have a mail hold placed, they still deliver and then send mail back to sender. Extremely frustrating. This is one of the worst post offices I have ever had to deal with.

I live in Dobbins Downs our mail boxes are at the dead end of the st. .I am disable and my doc. Filled the papers to have my mail delivered at my house. Will never had any problums till our mail man moved away. So our new mail man has cused me and my homemaker out because i am disable. He was yelling at the top of his lungs telling everyone that I wasnt disable. That i was fakeing it. This guy has no bussiness working for the postoffice. He has deliberately put my mail in the mail box at the dead end. So i have to have someone to go and check it. I have found my ins . Bill my power bills and other mail. I wish i knew someone else that he has done this too so we can get this man fired.

Rudest Post Office I’ve ever been to. The lady rolled her eyes constantly and the guy was being rude too. They said they attempted a delivery but thats just bull. They are just incompetent and lazy. If this was a private business it would have been closed down a long time ago.

Like others said, really wish theres a ZERO star I can put it onto their face. Super bad phone system. I lost my package and tried to call them for THREE DAYS and nearly FIFTY times on weekdays, and the phone is always busy and never go through. When I finally able to reach them on a Saturday morning, the lady over the phone was being extremely rude. She asked for my tracking number, checked it and literally said well, looks like our carrier delivered your package, but someone stole it and we can do nothing about it. Seriously? This is a $100 package, and it might be YOUR FAULT to deliver to some random place other than my FRONT DOOR. I mean before this, I never had any bad experience with ANY OTHER services like UPS. Fedex, etc. They always promptly deliver your package to your place, and make sure you got your package. And if I do need to speak to a representative from them, the man/women over the phone were always polite and helpful. This is just SUPER RIDICULOUS, especially the customer service. They were just try to get rid off their responsibility, and DONT EVEN CARE if you have something important in your package, like $100 or your important documentations. Thank God I was able to get a full refund from the store where I purchased my stuff, but in the future I would AVOID RECEIVE OR SEND A LARGE PACKAGE using USPS by ALL MEANS in CHAMPAIGN!!!!!!THIS IS A SERIOUS ADVICE for you all!!!! UNLESS you want to get your stuff lost, use UPS or Fedex Ground instead!!!!!

This is the worst post office i have ever tried to work with. They lie and say building is closed for delivery when they are not, they dont answer phone, they tell you to come back only to find out that they cant get your package because its locked up. This is not rocket science people.....it should not take 5 days to deliver a package when i paid for a two day delivery!

The US Postal service employees are some of the rudest people Ive ever met. Their customer service makes Comcast seem like Neiman Marcus. If the USPS went out of business, I personally would be glad.
