It took weeks to get an appointment, it was cancelled the day before. I rescheduled - more weeks. First technician came out. Had to help him pull out stove when he couldn’t figure it out. Had to Google where my control board connected and to find fuses. Disconnected the board and had to borrow my electricians tape as he didn’t have any. I had to Google the right part number for replacement. Waited another month for part to be installed. Second technician was much more knowledgeable. The part they tried to repair didn’t work so a new board was ordered. I was told it would be 10 days. It’s now three weeks later and no part has arrived. I’ve emailed. I’ve chatted. I’ve escalated to next level is support and NOTHING. I’ve been without my oven and stovetop for going on FIVE MONTHS.Do not use their service. It’s not actually service of any kind.
The wait for an appointment was long, typically at least a month. It took 3 months for us to get the parts to do the work. For some parts they kept sending me the wrong kind. I got at least 4 wrong silverware baskets. I eventually gave up and went on Amazon and order the correct one myself. There was lack of coordination between the departments within the company. When its time for the scheduled appointment, and we are still missing a critical part, no one contacted us to reschedule. We took a day off for nothing. The scheduled appointment time is now 8am-5pm instead of 4 hour window. The company that took over home repairs after Sears went out of business is a complete disappointment. The dishwasher repair saga took us over 5 months from the first time In contacted them to the final repair.
Updated 5/20/21 - home warranty company dispatched again. This time, call was scheduled for 5/20/21. The guys that came out were friendly and professional, and were able to identify the issue. I would give Steve and his trainee a 5; but, the overall experience keeps it at a 3.Call was dispatched and appointment confirmed on 5/9/21 for 5/18/21...not a great turn around; but, I can at least understand things are potentially tough right now...4:20pm on 5/18, received a text that they rescheduled for 6/10/21...um...no...if youre having a bad day, bump me to the next day, not 3 weeks out. I tried calling to speak with someone, and their automated system wouldnt let me get that far.
That technicians for wonderful very professional courteous, considerate and did a great job on my preventative maintenance check.Trying to schedule the check took five calls that part was a little rough but the actual technicians were wonderful
Do not use -- SCAM ALERT -- They bill you after you pay. We paid $129 for service to clean coils on fridge. Paid with card on the spot. After receiving bill in mail, called phone printed on bill, no human in closed loop. Tried on-line chat and was told it would be taken care of. Received yet another bill next month, sent e-mail printed on bill. This is third bill. This is a scam, do not use. We paid on the spot, credit card shows its paid.
My elderly mom had to deal with Sears because she mistakenly bought a warranty because, well, back in the day Sears was great. Not recently and our experience confirmed it. Originally the wait for an appointment was 3 weeks. Unconscionable but there it is. Day of appointment, Sears called, claimed the truck broke down and another appointment wouldn’t be available for ANOTHER three weeks. Well you all see what’s going on - they didn’t want to honor the warranty. We had to raise a giant stink to get them out there. It was a horrible experience.
Had to work with this company for 6 months for a dishwasher that was beyond repair but they refused to submit that it needed replaced to my home warranty. Sewage water had backed up into it due to incorrect installation and they said it was irreparable but would try to anyways so they could get more money from the home warranty company. One of the technicians even threw up on our property and left it for us to deal with. I will never use this company again.
Sears technician was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly. Professional and punctual.
Called the number and got disconnected 4 times. Once i finally got through they were helpful but all I needed to do was cancel the protection.
They wouldnt service my area
All of our appliances are Kenmore products. Never again will I purchase another appliance from sears. I had a dryer repaired and was charged almost 300$ for a part that I could of purchased myself for 25$. What a disgrace.
Sears is not keeping their word and is discontinuing severances without notifying the hard working people who kept their end by staying to close their stores.
Tony is the best mechanic
Its closed for good
