Weve been using Real Green for 2 years now. All I can say is if you follow their watering instructions, you will get the results you want. The weather has had an effect on our yard, but it always looks great regardless. We went from zero grass to a green lawn which stays this green even through the winter. I highly recommend using Real Green. The pictures speak for themselves. John first seeded the yard and this is the end result.We also started using their mosquito service because our daugther has gets huge welts from the bites. After the first treatment, we already notice a huge difference.

We have been working with John and his team for quite a few years on 3 of our properties in West Cary. Very nice and hard working people. Professional, attentive and responsive, and knows what they do and what is going on. They pay attention to the small things here and there while working through each yard, and provide us inputs and suggestions beyond their scope of work of lawn/shrub care and bug control. The flyers that come with their invoices are educational to read and follow. We outsource all other landscaping work (mowing, edging, pruning, etc.) to someone else but decided to keep John and his services even though it costs us more in some ways not to let the other crew take care of everything altogether as a package. I usually dont write reviews anywhere but feel that I owe John and his business a 5-star review.

John and Jana are extremely responsive and more than willing to answer any/all questions we have regarding our lawn care. Jana is always on top of service notifications and monthly newsletters, and John has an in-depth knowledge of the science involved with establishing and maintaining a top-quality lawn. In just a few short months we have seen a noticeable improvement and are looking forward to their continued service. We are proud to support a local, family-run, small business, who go above-and-beyond to satisfy their customers.

Run away from this company! Customer service is non-existent and field specialist was extremely insolent Johns (Owners) attitude also left a lot to be desired. Its almost like they have too many customers and they are trying to get rid of existing customers; otherwise, theres no other way to explain the rude response that accompanied the poor service. We decided to use RealGreen as an effort to support local business instead of going with one of the nationally recognized names, but it turned out to be a huge mistake with John/RealGreen. Stay away from this company as its not worth the time, its definitely not worth the money.Update after response:Based on the John’s response, it has now become abundantly clear that not only does this company engage in dismissive tactics when responding to customer complaints, they also bend the truth. There are so many lies in your response and while time will not permit me to call out each lie, the fact of the matter is that your field rep left abruptly when I asked him to walk around the house and explain to me why there are no weeds at the back of the house, but only at the front of the house.It’s unfortunate, and quite disappointing, that you still could not be truthful in your account, but resulted into fabricating lies to make you look good. All I did was to express dissatisfaction with the service received and it is obvious that you are not equipped to treat all kinds of weeds as evident in my case. Also, it is glaring that your staff have not been trained to handle situations with dissatisfied customers.Lastly, you need to stop the lies about me and other customers that have voiced dissatisfaction with your service. This ploy only makes you look worse, potential customers can read in between the lines. When a customer complains about poor service, it’s their fault, same excuse - no watering, no lawn care, warm temperature, etc. This is not a strategy and, sooner or later, your lies will be exposed. I hope you will find it in your heart to do right by your customers even those who are not happy with your service.

I started using RealGreen Lawn & Shrub Care for both my lawn and shrubs in December 2018. Both John and Jana are very professional and they responded to my requests and questions and took the time to explain any concerns that I had about the lawn and shrubs in a timely manner. I really appreciate John always notifying me by e-mail when the next lawn treatment and/or shrub service would be. There were couple times when I had to ask them to change their schedule because of my landscape people were coming to do some work that required them postponing their services. After one year with RealGreen Lawn & Shrub Care, even my landscaping people tells me that they have never seen my lawn as full and green as they are now. The landscape people have worked for me since March 2012. I really like the Air-8 Liquid Aeration process because the aeration that I have experienced always had such a mess especially after watering the lawn -- muddy shoes and foot prints. Keep up the wonderful services that you have provided for my lawn and shrubs and they also thanked you for they have been very happy too. I highly recommend RealGreen Lawn & Shrub Care to take care and nourish your lawn and shrubs.

John is the best. Most knowledgeable person we ever met. He has answers and advises on everything we ask. Absolutely amazed with the service provided by RealGreen. Our lawn improved dramatically. Will recommend them to any one.

As a home owner you need your weeds to be out of your life, doesnt matter on turf or under deck or side of house or on the drive way etc., They dont treat the weeds under deck and side of the house, only takes care of TURF area!! BTW the communication is rude when I raised the question about the weeds under deck and side of house, they responded that dont take care of them and removed me from their service. If you need a better service and eliminate any weeds around your house irrespective of turf or non-turf then go for a better one.

Very knowledgeable and straight up company. Excellent communicators. Started on my yard mid season last year and made a huge difference. Referred them to my nephew who is very pleased with their work. Also recommended them to our HOA who has hired them for over 30 homes. Just talk to John. You’ll be impressed.

John and Jana & crew are great. They are so nice to work with. They always let me know when they are coming so that I can put my dogs in the house first. I like to understand what’s going on, so I appreciate their detailed notes and that they welcomed questions.And my lawn speaks for itself—for them, actually! My neighbors marvel at it, because it was completely trashed when I moved in, with scarcely any turf at all and lots of weeds. Now is lush and green. Happy to refer Real Green to everyone!

Weve been really happy with their services. They were super responsive and got right to work - You dont even have to be there for the initial estimate or further treatments. We bought our house a couple years ago and have some sort of warm season grass. It was looking pretty rough at times when the clovers would pop up and flower. The treatment has made a HUGE difference in that, and it looked way better over this summer/spring compared to last year when we didnt do anything. I also think its reasonably priced, and easy to pay online. No complaints!

John was honest in his evaluation of our lawn. He could have convinced me that I needed to aerate the yard before seeding but stated not really needed. Our lawn has really improved with the new seeding and we have continued with him for weed control. Highly recommend their services.

None of the previous lawn care companies could get rid of the weeds from my yard. With RealGreen I didnt have too much expectations. But I see immediate improvement after a few applications. The service seems meticulous and cost very reasonable. Pleased with the service.

Really good, fresh food. Had lamb Schwartz and it was great. The sides, chickpea and squash salad, and Cous Cous were great as well. The baklava, usually not my favorite dish was good too. Not the typical cloyingly sweet thing you usually get. Its really busy at lunch, but the line moved quickly. Seating could be a problem, so be prepared.

We have used this company for several years, at our old house and now our new house. We had previously used several other companies but and they just didnt perform. Our grass is always green and thick with Real Green. I also love that they call before they come! They also gave very good advice about types of grass that would work well in our yard.

Timely notification as to when they will be on our property is appreciated and they quickly respond to any concerns or issues bought to their attention. Another lawn service actually killed more than half my lawn a few years ago ... either too much weed killer or not the correct stuff. After a few unsuccessful attempts at recovery by other lawn services, and some that did not even call back after my request for a quote, RealGreen was the ONLY company to give me my lawn back. It took a couple of seasons (remember, it was down to bare dirt) but I now have a lawn I can actually cut and be proud of. If youre wondering who to use, please use RealGreen ... they are the best lawn service in this area, bar none.

John does great work on taking care of the lawn. They are much cheaper than other big companies and provide better services.

After trying two big commercial lawn care companies, I am SO happy to have found RealGreen.In the past, I was paying too much for shoddy service from the big companies. Always someone different treating my lawn, often temp workers who knew nothing about lawns, killing my herbs and veggies but not controlling weeds. Very impersonal, and no phone help either. They would often fail to call the day before so that I could bring my dogs in for the day--and would often not come on the scheduled day. And my lawn did not thrive--it got worse every year, not better.Then I found RealGreen, and I could not be happier. If I am here when he comes out, the owner will walk the yard with me, answer my questions, give good advice. John will go the extra mile, and not charge me an arm and leg--prices are very reasonable, especially if you get a year-long subscription. I refer my friends and neighbors to RealGreen without reservation!

Terrible service!!!! Our yard always has weeds even after a year of using this service. My yard is a brand new yard with sod and it looks horrible after using this service. Definitely dont recommend this service to anyone.
