EPM has provided service for our lawn for a number of years. Staff has been knowledgeable and provides a reasonably high level of service. They call the day before they arrive which allows time to mow the lawn before application, if you wish to do so. Unless you are willing to pay a considerably higher fee, I think they provide a good value and our lawn generally looks good. This is a partnership which means the homeowner has to water and cut the lawn properly as well. Yes, fertilizer does reach parts of the driveway, but that is hard to avoid. I would recommend them.
EPM has done my lawn for years and I couldnt ask for better company. The guys that come to treat my lawn are very knowledgable and helpful. Even when I call in and have a question, they always are so pleasant. Thank you for making my lawn look the best in the neighborhood!
I agree with other reviewers. Total scam. They are supposed to come out for complementary service when they do not kill weeds. Never come. When weve called to complain about them not killing weeds or grubs, they say it will be extra. Also charged us extra for lime when our contract clearly states that lime treatment is included. Last time they came they charged double. When we called to cancel, due to many many calls that went unanswered, they finally offered to send out a manager. Meanwhile the weeds continue to multiply. Stay away and save your money.
Please let me save you the trouble. Absolutely the worst company and service you will encounter. This company is a scam. Lawn looks worse that it has in the six years Ive owned my home. Whatever they are doing, it actually makes your lawn worse than doing nothing at all. If you call to complain, they will berate you and say things like grass is dormant even though what theyve done is kill your grass. EPM will then continue to show up and bill you even after youve called them to complain and cancel. Talking to their office reps is an exercise in futility. I would think this company is not long for this world. Look at all the 1-star reviews. The only explanation for their existence is that they are scamming people.
I am a 100% Disabled Veteran who hired EPM to help my lawn grow grass! I moved into a new house in Franklinton NC. The yard was clay with little grass. The Manager at EPM (Lee) came out and looked at my lawn, and said he could help me. Will...every time they came out I was charged $67.00 and they did something different every time. The last time they came out, the guy was in his truck longer then in my yard! He sprayed a couple spots in my yard and charged me for fertilizing my whole yard. I have about an acre! I called in to complain and the new manager said Ill come out and look at your yard. He did come out and look at my yard and told me over the phone that there was nothing he could do for me! I told him, why didnt you tell me that 6 months ago? He said, we havent been treating your lawn for 6 months! I then told him that I kept the all the service sheets. You see...my yard looked so bad that he didnt believe me! My yard looked the same as it did the first treatment I had. I hired someone 3 weeks ago to fix my front yard and I now have grass coming up! DO NOT HIRE EPM!!!!! They did give me 67 dollars back! Wow! They should of given me all 6 months back! Stay away from them!!!!!!!
Company help nourish your lawn and give it that awesome green look all year long.
If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I moved into a new house with the wrong grass (bermuda) planted in my yard, so it wasnt in good shape to begin with. A guy came out and recommended their service and provided a detail explanation (including lime application and aeration) of what they could do starting in the winter to have my grass fully restored by summer time. Well its summer time, and I have less grass in my yard now then Ive ever had. Dont waste your time with this company.
This company have specialist who come to treat your yard. This morning they came to our house, rang the door bell and told us that they will be treating the yard with lime granules. then he went to his truck, prepared the paperwork and left it on the front door saying they put 20 lbs. lime. He didnt even step in the yard. we watched the whole episode and he left. I called the company and they said they will schedule again after two week just in case the treatment was done. then I looked up the reviews and saw that this is common. So i called again and canceled my services with them. I have been with them for several years and we have been complaining but this time it was obvious. we had requested that they do not do the service if we are not home. just think, you are not home and if they charge you for not doing anything.08/10/2017Today a collection agency called for the same asking for money that they had charged for the service that was not done. Shame on this company.
I agree this is a very bad company to work with, they have no concern for their customers. I asked a manager to come out 6 times when the techs showed up. No one ever called or showed up. I canceled and the service kept coming and kept billing me. I work from home so I know for a fact that they did NOT apply the applications because I asked them to leave my property. Their tech still submitted that they applied the applications.
After several years of service with EPM, we will probably cancel our contract with EPM. We requested aeration and seeding of our yard. They showed up before 8 AM. Give me a break!! They rang the door bell several times. They banged loudly on the door. Then they started the aerator and just skated it over the surface of our yard. This was after contacting them several times to get them out to our house. Getting them to show up was like pulling hens teeth. Then they show up at a bloody early hour of the day. But what shows up right away? Yup. You guessed it. The bill. My wife called them five or six times about the service. No response. She even showed up in person. No response. No effort to fix the situation. STAY AWAY from this company.
Very bad service, substandard work. The worst part is once you cancel your service they begin to call you constantly to renew your service. The easiest way to avoid their non-stop calls is to never let them get your phone number in the first place.... Horrible.
EPM Lawn Care is hopefully the worst service out there. We have been with them for one year and our weeds are worse than ever. I actually can smell onions when I walk past my driveway there are so many onion weeds. Crazy thing is the service people always came when expected and did the job its just the product is terrible. Its like weed fertilizer spray. Never again.
I’d give negative stars if I could. Not even worthy of a star but to leave a review you must give atleast a star. Where do I begin? Dealing with Truegreen (EPM) has been a nightmare since day 1. From using my credit card info (that I gave to them in order to get a discount when prepaying for overseeding)and then using that Info to auto charge my card instead of just sending me a bill. I never signed anything telling them they could just auto charge my card. I even told them I did not want them doing that. I originally signed up for service after a field supervisor stopped at my house multiple times trying to gain my business. I had informed him my neighbor had truegreen and hated their customer service. The field supervisor then promised me he would personally look after my account and make sure everything was done right and called me after I was still reluctant and said he spoke with his direct mgr about my reluctance due to my neighbors experience. He told me his mgr is offering the third service free as an act of good faith to show they provide excellent service. So I said ok and prepaid for overseeding. I was then charged $29 for the service before the overseeding. I was fine with the price. That was what was promised. However I did not agree to giving authorization to charge my card for that service or any other service other than the overseeing. I contacted the field supervisor and he said he would take care of it. I said I wanted to be sent a bill after each service and I’d pay it when i received it because it’s easier for me to keep track of. I even have the text msg conversation with him showing that. Well he never fixed it. Next thing I know I’m charged for the third service which I was promised would be free. I contact the field supervisor and he told me he would talked to his mgr and they would take care of the problem by the next day and I would get a call from one of them confirming the problem was resolved. I got no call back. The charge remained on my card. I disputed it with my credit card company. I should have gone w my instincts and listened to my neighbor. These people entered my address into their computer system wrong before the first service. The tech called me saying he couldn’t find my house. I found out they entered the address wrong. So I asked the tech if the guys overseeding the lawn in a week would be able to find my house. He told me call the phone number to tell them the correct address. I did and the person I called couldn’t do it, didn’t know how and was told by a supervisor to transfer me to sales. The sales person went through a bunch of questions asking me how much I paid etc I said don’t you have that information in the computer? Can’t you just change the one digit that is wrong in the computer for my address? Nope. He had to reenter everything. Then after all that he asks what credit card are you putting this under. I balked and said excuse me?None I don’t want my card on file. He said for the special pricing it has to be. I said forget it then. I don’t want you to service my lawn just cancel me. He said ok and hung up. I contacted the field supervisor who said he will fix it and not to call the main Truegreen # anymore and to deal w him directly. Yeah that worked out great. Sense my sarcasm. He talked a great game but took care of nothing. Total liar. Scam artist. I sent an email to the district mgr. and got no response. They don’t care about their customers. Sad part is if they didn’t auto charge my card and actually kept their promise of giving me the third service free I would still be with them. My lawn was starting to look better. But I refuse to do business w a place that operates like this. It’s like dealing with the stereotypical used car salesmen. No I take it back. The stereotypical used car salesman would be offended being grouped in w these people. Please people, DO NOT ever do business with EPM (Truegreen). Even if a guy named Tony comes to your door several times making promises. You will be likely be very sorry if you choose to do business with them.
I signed up with EPM after a convincing sales pitch. However 6 months after I signed up - my yard is looking worse than before. After repeated calls, their tech did not show up. I gave up on their service. I should have seen these review before I signed up.
DO NOT TRUST EPMI have recently used epm lawn care to tend to my lawn. After incredibly shoddy work for an even worse price I decided to cancel my service. EPM took it upon themselves to tend my lawn without my consent after I cancelled their services and then proceeded to bill me for the un-requested lawn maintenance. After I flat out told them they would not steal my money they persisted in calling me every other day and sending bill after bill until they finally sold my debt to a collection agency. EPM only offers incredibly rude employees and complete and total harassment. They should consider changing their name from EPM to EPN for Empty Pockets Now. At least they would be more honest about their thievery.
Very important to read the reviews on EPM... I wish I wouldve. My neighbor warned me too -- but unfortunately I didnt listen to anyone...The most recent issue I had was last week. I tried to call them starting over a week ago, waited on hold then was pushed to voicemail multiple times... left three voicemails (during their working hours) asking for a call back. Never received a call. Day 4 I called them again... I finally got to a live person. I have both a lawn and tree & shrub service through them. I explained that one of my evergreen trees in my backyard that they dont treat looks to be dying (top 1/4 is turning brown) -- asked if they could get someone out here to take a look and quote how much it would cost to cover my trees in the back too. The lady informed me that Im already on the schedule for Thursday. I asked her if I could move that appointment forward because I was worried about the tree... she said that she didnt think so, I finally said ok lets go with Thursday, but please have him call me as soon as he sees the tree to discuss. Friday comes and I hadnt heard anything back, now the tree is about half brown. I called them and was told that since it was raining off and on Thursday they didnt come out and now it would most likely be Monday. I said that wont work, not sure why you cant look at a tree when its raining off and on. After a long discussion she said she would have a supervisor call me -- I told her I just need to know if they can get someone out here before the entire tree is dead... if they cant come I will try to find someone else. No one called me back, Ive left 3 more voicemails Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. (no one answering their phone). They have never returned any phone calls... but they never miss pulling money out of my account. Unfortunately waiting for them to do something has most likely cost me an evergreen tree...The only reason I gave them 1 star is because they wouldnt let me give them zero stars. Now I want to cancel, but unfortunately Im not sure how -- they wont pick up their phone or return messages.... Very bad company to work with, they have no concern for their customers.
After several years of service, we finally canceled our agreement with EPM. We were consistently dealing with weeds and crabgrass while all of our neighbors had perfect lawns. Lots of excuses from EPM. Do not use them.
I have EPM Lawn Care for the past ten years and we absolutely love their service, they are excellent and respond to any additional work very promptly. My lawn and shrubs look healthy, thanks to their regular maintenance.
Epm is not a good company. The worksmanship is shoddy at best. Every person I spoke to was condescending and rude. Im a bit surprised theyre still in business frankly.
Absolute worst company I have EVER done business with. Non responsive, will charge you for services not rendered, will not follow simple instructions. They have billed me multiple times incorrectly, and have just created an absolute mess of my yard. Save yourself the headache!
These guys are fools. They meant to treat my neighbors yard and hit mine instead. Fertilizer was all over the place- all over my sidewalk, driveway, and street. I called to let them know and they acted like it wasnt a big deal that they dumped chemicals all over my yard. Pitiful customer service.
I have used EPM for several years, but finally cancelled. I was charged for aeration & seeding when it was not done, poor application to back yard on a regular basis and when I cancelled the svc, they came out for svc and charged me again! Stay away from this company!!!
Very Sloppy Application. They just spray a little around in the middle. I have tons of weeds all around the edges of my lawn. I have been their customer for a few years and I am about to cancel. FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!
THEIR EMPLOYEE, SAMANTHA IS RUDE, COMBATIVE........Was with them for 3 years - had a billing issue and called the office to resolve. Samantha answered the phone and was SO RUDE, and UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! In fact, due to her behavior, I cancelled my service and am going with a competitor ---
This company sucks!
Horrible
