Mike and his team were great to work with! They offered the best price for the work among the 3 companies I got quotes from. The weather was not doing us any favors with getting the work completed, but when Mike saw a moment in the schedule to get it done he called, coordinated, and doubled the man power to get the work done in the window mother nature allowed. For reference, we had grading, a french drain to surround the pool, sod, and hedges installed. 5/5 experience!

I initially contracted Stone Creek to replace the sad fescue grass in my front yard with Bermuda sod. After witnessing the professional and detailed installment process I decided to give them a try with weekly maintenance.The sod took beautifully and stayed that way all summer long. Stone Creek has been doing a fabulous job with the maintenance, my yard always looks great. The yard is weed free with perfect edging around all flower beds. I wish I had hired them a long time ago to save me a lot of time and energy from doing it myself. In addition, I had been battling crab grass in my backyard and losing badly. The backyard was 50% crabgrass and I had tried everything and nothing worked to rid my lawn of it. After Mike took over it was all gone in a week and has not returned. A year and a half ago we were finishing up a pretty big remodel on the house. We decided to do it all and get the lawn sodded as years of drought took toll on our yard. After researching and talking with a number of companies we decided to go with Stone Creek Landscaping. Mike Hoskins is a true professional. He recommended a specific sod that had great success in this area. We have one of the most beautiful lawns in the city. This summer we have turned the sprinklers on only 3 times and the lawn looks like a green velvet carpet. People drive by and stop to take photos of our lawn. Several folks have left a note on our front door, asking me to phone them with the name of our sod and the person who installed it.Mike was so wonderful to work with on the lawn, we still have his company maintain the lawn weekly. Last Fall we wanted to finish up the landscaping on the side and around back by the new screen porch. We called on Mike and he presented a plan. He also gave me a few choices/ideas. Ive had Stone Creek Landscaping install plants on two different occasions. The most recent was last March. I wanted to reroute some gutter downspouts in the process. Mike proposed to carry the downspouts underground and terminate outside the landscape area with a pop-up drain. He also consolidated two spouts into one pop-up drain. I was very pleased with the end result.

We hired Mike and SLC approx 2.5 years ago when we moved to Raleigh. We had some issues with our builder installed landscaping and drainage. Mike improved our yard immensely and has fixed all drainage issues. He has since added more plants and does our monthly maintenance. He also provides us with our annual wood chip refreshing. We are extremely pleased with all the services he provides and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I struggled with tall fescue ever since I bought my home in Cary North Carolina 28 years ago. I checked with several installers in the area and Mike was the most competitive. I removed a few trees from my front lot and had the stumps ground and then did some basic structuring to the small front yard. Mike recommended that I use the ZEON Zoysia sod which is better in shady conditions. He and his crew came out and did exactly what he said he would do and re-sculpted the yard and then laid down the sod. With a regular water schedule the first few weeks, it started filling in and it became one of the most beautiful turf that I have ever had. I have been a home owner over 50 years and the right grass choice and the installation is fantastic. All the neighbors love to come by and talk about the lush carpet as I tinker in the yard and garden. I definitely made the right choice with Stone Creek Landscaping. Thanks Mike.

Our lawn was an eyesore for almost 10 years but is now spectacular, the kind of lawn that people notice and one where kids love to play. When I first met Mike, we spent considerable time discussing the advantages of different sods. We found him to be exceptionally knowledgeable and ready to support his beliefs with documentation. We selected a shade tolerant zeon zoysia and couldnt be happier. The lawn is like a plush carpet.Initially we had an issue with the sod but Mike and his crew worked with us and the supplier to correct the problem. We have had a fantastic experience with SCL! We were looking for a company that could do weekly maintenance, bi-annual pruning, as well as provide ongoing lanscaping design and installation. It was difficult to find a company that was reasonable and did both maintenance and landscaping. We would definitely recomment Mike and his crew!

Stone Creek Landscaping Inc has been doing an outstanding full service lawn service for us for the past 10 years (known as elite management). Our lawn is one of the most beautiful in the neighborhood. I have never had a lawn that looks this good and the trimming and edging done each week is really super.They keep our lawn free of weeds and crabgrass and the lawn is lush and green. They trim our hedges (and we have a lot of them) two to three times a summer and are most thorough in doing all bushes and hedges that need trimming They also do weekly weed contool in our garden beds. Their staff is courteous and efficient. They do such a nice job of clearning up and blowing off all walks and our porch as well.They also aerate, thatch and seed our lawn in the fall as well as apply all needed fertilzers (six times a year), ph adjusters and weed control as needed. They do post emergent spray on turf on as needed basis and do leaf removal in the fall. In addition we have them dark mulch our bush areas and gardens giving a very neat appearance.I most heartedly recommend them to you as a full lawn service of excellence and dedication that will keep your lawn really looking great.

No kickbacks here either, Mike just asked me to write a review after he did the work and since it was a good job I was happy to. This is my review from work done a year or so ago. -- We were looking to add wired landscape lighting to illuminate our home in the evening. Mike came out to assess our property and make some suggestions on type of lighting, location of lights and number of lights needed. He gave us a very large brochure of products to choose from and some ballpark figures on prices based on light style such as standard vs LED. We chose the LED lights despite the higher cost due to long bulb life and low electricity costs. We were concerned with the appearance of LED lights being too bright and white but Mike assured us the lights we chose would look just like standard lights if we used amber filters and he was right. Now we have the soft white look of traditional bulbs but the long bulb life and low electricity usage of LED lights. Once we chose the product the lights were custom ordered for us and as soon as the product was ready Mike came out with his crew to install. They did a great job and worked very quickly. They were able to simply install a transformer on the side of our house near our AC units instead of trying to tap into the main electrical panel which was surrounded by our concrete driveway this made installation easy and construction free. They easily ran wires under concrete paths and paver stone paths and as a result the house looks great. We originally were not going to put lights in our backyard but Mikes suggestion convinced us and we are glad it did. Now our back patio and fire pit area as well as the path to the deck are perfectly lit. I am very happy with the lighting we chose and in the end paid about $200 per light installed which included the cost of the transformer. Assuming these bulbs last the 15 to 20 years Mike suggests they will we will certainly get our moneys worth. Additionally the customer service from this company was excellent. About two months after our purchase the lights didnt come on one night so I reset the system and the next night same thing. I called Mike over the weekend and he came out on Monday and fixed the problem which was a bad wire in the transformer. Since then the lights have been working great and I have piece of mind that if any other issues occur Mike will come out and correct the situation. I would certainly use Stone Creek Landscaping again in the future. A great overall experience.
