I just started service this year and so far the local office has been very organized, punctual and responsive. Lawn is looking great! Highly recommend TruGreen.

Trugreen does what they say. When I called them to come out, I had cinch bugs in my lawn. They treated for cinch bugs and got my yard looking good again.
I really like our new consultant Derek MaAfee, he is very conscientious and thorough in his applications. He is also knowledgeable about issues that affect our grass. We definitely recommend TruGreen!

Was so hoping to post a 5-star review. Instead, forced to make it 1. David Current and his Carrollton team were unreliable. Customer service was terrible. Unless being hung up on by David and others is considered good. Never received call/text/email they were coming, despite repeatedly signing up for it. Miserable experience. Posting here in hopes others can avoid the same.
Service: aerationResults: one pass over a 4 ft area leaving at least 8-15 inches on either side with clearly no dirt plugs. This level of service after they came A WEEK LATE when I was supposedly going to have service 1-2 weeks prior plus a 48 hour notice, which I also did not receive.I will never use trugreen for any other product. I would have done better to rent the machine and done the work myself as a novice.

I have to say, I’m impressed and happy with how TruGreen has stepped up their service all around. I love the app! Knowing when they’re arriving is great so I’m prepared if I need to speak with them about any concerns. And they listen! We received great advice on improving our front lawn and it’s coming back nicely. Give them a try, if you’re serious about having a great looking lawn.

They sprayed their chemicals over 4 potted plants and flowers killing them all. They werent located that close to the grass either. I called to speak to a manager and never got a call back.
During repair tech destroyed my sprinkler system and now sprinkler system does not work. they charged me to destroy my existing sprinkler system. disaster company. falsegreen. stay away from this >>> ( i dont have words.
I was with this company since 2015. When I was with Scott I was so happy. Ever since I hire this company my lawn getting worse. Now I have a worst lawn in my neighborhood. My grass still gray in color all neighbors has green. I was paying them all this time for nothing. Today I fired them . Either I am going to hire another local company or I am going to do the job myself. I will not recommend this company at all.

Our lawn gets comments from the neighbors and is doing well this year despite the weather. The specialist does a good job of telling me of problem areas and is very friendly. I have fertilized my lawn for many years buying over the counter products and applying with a spreader. I feel that your service does a better job for about the same price I was paying to do it myself. TruGreen calls me the day before coming out so I can check weather and events I may have planned.

Do not do business with this company unless you want to be over billed and harassed continuously by telemarketers!! Their call center talked me into to letting them treat our yard again after a bad experience over 2 years ago. My agreement was that if they did what they agreed to do, I would gladly pay their bill. You can guess what happens... Their service guy did a good job the 1st month but the next time he only treated part of my yard. I called in and they came back out. On the next service, the tech didnt treat my entire yard again! I knew this because I had watched him on my cameras. I called in and the office apologized and offered to come retreat everything. I stated that I just wanted to end the service because I didnt feel it was my job to make sure their employees did the complete job. The manager agreed and agreed to remove the charges for services that werent performed. I offered to pay half because that was all that was treated. Yesterday I received a letter from collections from the charges that the manager had agreed to remove. When I called the billing dept. the lady said there was nothing she could even after i expressed my displeasure. Bottom line, I DO NOT recommend this company!! I know a lot of other people in my area that have has the same experience with this branch.
Informative/helpful Specialists... Specialists are always polite and friendly. They are willing to answer questions and follow-up as needed. The tree specialist was extremely helpful in scheduling treatments to solve a problem with our Hawthorne tree.
Couldnt agree more with the review below. I have had multiple terrible experiences with this company and this office in particular. I will never use them again. A couple years back I had a bad experience and constantly tried to get in touch with them, but this year my husband asked me to try them again.. so we did. I prepaid for the 6 weed treatments. Towards the end of the year, we kept seeing the weeds and calling them and finally were told that out of the 5 times they came out they had only done a weed treatment once. What was I paying for then?? The techs werent doing what they were supposed to and of course we wouldnt have known until watching them and checking. I had to call multiple multiple times and wait for a call back and then a supervisor to come out and look at it and he confirmed that they did not treat it all (even though they had been out to re-treat 2 days before). All a big rip off. This supervisor told me he would have them re-treat and also roll over my remaining treatments to the new year since it was now late in the year and we wouldnt need to be doing all of these treatments in the winter. Of course nothing was noted. No credits. No follow-up. Oh, except for a letter asking me to pre-pay for next year. I call and ask them to follow up on my credits.. Im told the supervisor will call you back in 24-48 hours. 4 days later nothing. I call again and oh theyll call you by tomorrow. So by 24-28 hours do you mean hopefully 5 days? or ever? Long story short - if you dont want to constantly be checking what they do, pay for something you dont get, and constantly trying to chase them down, dont bother. Id rather just do it myself at this point.
Work still in progress, several brown spots had gotten smaller, however i was told to by the tech to watch for them, that It could be some sort of fungicide. Ill be giving them a full week to see if they disappeared. I received a call form them asking me to more money to treat the weeds in my yard. This company promotes guarantee green lawnwhat a money-back guarantee? extremely disappointed!

Lawn looked great last year and not so great this year. Hard to get anyone to call you back but to Trugreen credit, they came out to try and make it better.
I would give negative stars if possible, but I couldnt give review without giving one undeserved star. We live three hours from Dallas, but Dallas True Green repeatedly harasses us with sales calls asking for our business. This, despite telling them we are not interested and asking for them to stop contacting us.
I have been a customer of TruGreen for a number of years and have always received good service from all of the techs that have either serviced my lawn or trees. The techs are always concerned if there are any dry spots in the lawn or the leaves on the trees are not as green as they should be. I respect their opinions and go by their ideas.

These guys make TWC look good.They never make it to fixed appointments, charged money upfront and didnt provide the services that they charged for.My lawn was way better and had far less weeds before I had their services. Theyve not only taken my money but also have made my lawn worse cause I left it to them to maintain and theyve not done anything!
I find it extremely frustrating that TruGreen cannot keep enough steady employees (technicians) that they can ever send the same Tech out twice! I am so sick of having to go outside every single time to show the new guy where the keys to our gates are hidden! Two years ago, we discontinued our service. At that time the local manager called and begged us to re-consider, promising we would have a Tech assigned to us. That has not happened one single time, & our lawn certainly reflects it! I will be calling again today, probably to discontinue our service.. Ive had it with these guys!
Just had service yesterday 9.20.16. Technician was on the grass a full 2 minutes (I have security cameras)! Not sure how you can properly treat .87acres in 2 minutes. I am incredibly disappointed and would never let them perform service again unless i am there watching them like a hawk. Calling the office Thursday to see what business ethics they have. Not hoping for much......Do it yourself!!!
Great lawn care... I have and enjoy a lawn that has the excellent appearance of a well cared for lawn that enhances the value of and beauty of my prpopetty that I dont have to worry about.
My biggest complaint is with their corporate accounting system. I prepaid and still received numerous calls about payment in addition to a collection notice. Each time I spoke with a CSR I had to educate them on the issue. The folks in the Carrollton office have always been nice, but I have to admit, my yard doesnt look that great after 4 years of having them take care of my lawn. Weeds have taken over.
Ah where to start, the level of service they provide is terrible with a capital T. 3 times they have shown up unannounced at my home to treat the yard and I have called 3 times to yet again tell them this, we received no call prior to the treatment and I have pets in the backyard. I was assured each time we would get the calls to warn us so we could lock them up for the day. Thus far this has not happened. I have even called the automated service myself and they stated there was a date scheduled so I would lock them up for the day, they were a no show both times. Im very tired of this. They obviously dont care about customer service at all, its appalling. Also the treatments dont seem to be ridding us of the crab grass and other weeds that invaded our lawn this summer. Expensive, worthless staff, and horrible results. Not worth it at all!
Have been with this company for over 15 years--back when they were Scott. This year my yard looks horrible. So, on the 4/24/17 service, I look at the Service Information after I saw the lack of density in the fertilizer granules. 6 #s of granular fertilizer was applied--RIDUCULOUS!! 6#s on my yard is nothing. If I were applying it myself, I would use at least 15 to 20 pounds. No wonder my yard looks lousy. Just called today to discuss with a manager--you guessed it. The call center receptionist will have them call me within 24 to 48 hours. This Company has forgotten Customer Service, so, they will loose my business--but I suspect that theydont really care.

I have given TruGreen lawn care two chances. 1st, when I was talking to them I was promised an aeration when I signed up for there service. I was never given that service. I went back to Scotts which was doing a good job but at a higher price. I decided to give trugreen one more chance and I paid for a year of service in September 2016 and was then charged for two services later in the year service starting in June and August of 2017. When I called and asked why I was being charged they informed me that a year of service is only 8 treatments which only covers through May of 2017. Then that is not a year of service. I will not go with them again.
I own a preschool, at the beginning of last year I was told I will get 9 treatments, I received only 5, even for getting those 5 treatments I had to call multiple times to get their service scheduled. They never came when they were supposed to and when they showed up, did only half of the site. They have absolutely terrible customer service and Lawncare service. They even charged me, even though I had not renewed my contract. I was always put on hold, when I called them and was given fake promises. At this point I am completely tired of these folks and have switched to another Vendor.

Even the vacant lots in our neighborhood had greener grass!! You know I work for Scotts and Tru Green, and sometimes the Tech forgets to start the arrival time and itll show two minutes on the printed ticket, or a minute but he was there way longer.No point in hitting arrival time again and sitting there for 20 min you just have to print the ticket and make sure you hit it next time.Just wanted to help.But you know some of you all lawns just need to be re Sauded. You cant start treatmeants with 10% soil in the lawn or you have a million weeds, it just will not work itll take 10+ years to fix that. So call with reasonable expectations
Beware - they employ bait and switch tactics. I called to see about having the lawn treated of a rental property I own and they told me the treatments would be $30 for first treatment and $54 for each treatment thereafter. I had the first treatment done and they billed me $64.90. I called up and they had me down for $59.90 plus tax for each treatment for a total of $64.90. No $30 for the initial treatment and no $54 for each treatment thereafter as they had quoted me.I have made two calls and spent one hour so far with customer service trying to get it straightened out. They finally got it straightened out but it has caused me my time and frustration which there was no reason for. Even though they have a local number listed, all calls go to a national call center so you get a different person each time you call.They want my credit card number on file to auto withdraw the charges but I dont trust them with my credit card so will be paying with a personal check. Even though they dont tell you this, when you print out the statement, at the very bottom there is a coupon that you can cut and mail in with a check payment, which is what I will be doing. Would definitely not give them my credit card number.9/14/18 Update:New tenants moved into my rental house and they sent me photos of the yard and in the front yard there were weeds everywhere and the grass in half the yard was dead. The grass in all the backyard was completely gone but Trugreen never informed me of this and were spraying the backyard and charging me for it. The previous tenants never did water the yard I found out and was the reason all the grass died.I live in a different city and Trugreen was aware of this so they knew I would not be checking on the yard. I finally got ahold of the franchisee owner of this Trugreen in Carrollton and he said he would go out and look at my property and call me back but he never did. Left numerous messages for him but no return phone calls. Finally called the corporate office and they reached out to him but he was of no help.I forwarded Trugreen corporate the photos of my yard with all the dead grass and weeds everywhere and told them I was not going to pay them for the most recent treatment as they supposedly have a satisfaction guaranty on their service. I never heard back from them so I thought this was the end of it.Now I just received a bill from a Transworld Systems collection agency in the amount of $59.48 as Trugreen had turned my account over to them for collection. What a scam this company runs and so much for their satisfaction guaranty. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and would advise others to avoid this company.

Used their Ortho service, which is suppose to be guaranteed. Had an ant problem before the treatment, and it persisted after the treatment. Called Scotts to set up a reapplication at no cost. I waited a week with no followup. Called them again, and they said theyll request it again. Waited a week and half with no response. Called a third time and requested to cancel the service. The rep said I cant because I still had an outstanding balance. I told him fine, but I want the reapplication done. Waited another week with no response. Called again, the rep said my account was cancelled and there would be no followup. I told him the other rep said I couldnt close it, so I was fine leaving the account open as long as they did the reapplication. He said the other rep was incorrect and theres really nothing I can do about it.I called Orkin next. They said their turnaround for service is within 2 days of the request, even for reapplications. They are a bit more expensive, but seem much more reliable. Im switching to Orkin now.
Worked with Scotts for several years after merge with Tru Green I scheduled 4 times in 3 weeks and no one came out. Supervisor was supposed to call but never did, finally cancelled.

The most inept group of people I have ever worked with. I run a multi-million dollar business so I can speak from experience when I say DONT EVER use their services. Not only do they do poor work but when you cancel and they offer you a credit for bad service they send you to collections and harass you for $178. They will never get that money from me no matter what. They killed 4 trees in one year with their Tree and Shrub “care”. Never apologized and certainly never offered to replace the trees. Then accused me of deceit when I replaced the trees. UNBELIEVEABLY poorly managed business unit.
Our yard has never looked this good - until we hired your company to take care of our grass. My only wish would be that there was a preparation that would kill the crabgrass in our backyard. It is starting again this year and your people have tried but cannot get rid of it. Not truly a huge problem, honestly.

This place is good to get all of your ticks and fleas spiders and cockroaches in everything but theyre very very expensive $800 for the year thats pretty expensive and they only come out three or four times so youre paying $800 for three or four times coming out for the service for 1 year thats extremely expensive so if you know somebody that can do it cheaper go for it TruGreen is too expensive you have to be very rich to have them Im not rich
