Ive lived at this community for a year and have no complaints - leasing staff is helpful and knowledgeable everywhere that it counts. Facilities are always clean. Maintenance very responsive. Parking never an issue. Highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a place in Carmel at competitive prices.
The staff are awesome and very nice. They have always been helpful and their maintenance staff is 100% the best Ive dealt with through 4 different complexes. Great place to live! Cant hear neighbors, everything is kept up. Its just slightly expensive and no indoor bike storage unless you have a garage or bring your bikes into your apartment.
Rented an apartment for the first half of 2021. In 3 months, developed severe difficulties breathing and lung fibrosis. After a month of treatment, received an order from the doctor to test the air quality at home. Had 2 inspections positive for mold. Moved out of the apartment as soon as was released from the hospital. The apartment management offered to reimburse $400 for my inspection, but no rent and no medical expenses. Would never moved in an apartment that smells, or with an air freshener, or that I cannot see in advance, again.
I lived at One One Six Apartments for a total of 3 years. The property itself was nice and I rarely had issues with that aspect. When I did, the maintenance team was prompt and wonderful to work with. The office staff on the other hand has been by far the worst property management team that I have had to deal with (including management companies at IU in Bloomington). I rarely leave reviews, however I feel that its vital for any future residents to understand what exactly youre getting. Lack of professionalism, timeliness and friendliness were the main issues I experienced. I decided to transfer to another J.C. Hart community in Midtown which has an amazing management team. I would highly recommend looking there in your search!
I just renewed my lease for a second year at OneOneSix. Never in a million years would I have thought I’d want to stay living in an apartment, but I’ve also never felt more at home. Obsessed with the location, the amenities, the layout and overall esthetic of the units and the office and maintenance teams…whoa…unparalleled. These people take care of you here. Don’t think about it, just sign a lease, you won’t regret choosing to live here.
This was my first and only tour of apartments. The leasing office staff were very friendly and answered all my questions, even when I texted them at random times. The process to sign was simple and easy, I was in my apartment a week later and I love it. The complex, surrounding area and apartment itself have everything I need. But I’m mostly writing this review for the maintenance. My hot water went out one night, I sent in a work order that same night and the next day I came home from work and they had fixed it. Very impressed and pleased with my choice to live here!
Staff all go out of their way to help in anything you need and the apt is lovely - much more than I expected after years of owning my own home. Moved here recently from the East Coast. Rented sight unseen due to COVID. Pleasantly surprised!!
I was reluctant about doing this review of one one six apartments. There are some benefits and there are definitely some areas of opportunity for this location to compete with other communities in the area. Location is really good you have easy access to keystone and 465 without being in the heart of Carmel. The floor plan layouts are nice and generously sized for the area. However, the upkeep of the common areas, stairways and hallway are absymal at best, especially for place within this price point. The amenities fall short of the competition. Residents get a discount at Upland Brewery. Original review would be two stars but they have a new property manager that really seems to understand living in apartments. I met her once and I think shes a gem. Hopefully they will be able to address the issue with the common areas. Tan walls and carpet dont seem to be the best solution. Darker carpets with Regularly Scheduled cleaning in hallways and stairwells.
I moved in, in October and worked with Katie! She is amazing. The staff has been so helpful and maintenance is fantastic. My first day moving in a staff member met me at my building to make sure my keys worked, garage door opener, and the apartment was in good shape. I would highly recommend to others!
I lived here for almost seven years, and I have nothing bad to say about the apartment complex. Office and maintenance staff were always extremely helpful and quick to resolve any issues. The price I paid was very reasonable compared to other properties in the Carmel area, and I would definitely recommend One One Six to anyone whos considering living there.
I have been living at One One Six for a year and I think it’s about time I sing their praises. I’ll start with the staff who go above and beyond in their roles. Katie has been amazing to work with since before I even signed my lease and has continued to be amazing. The maintenance team is always extremely prompt and thorough whenever there is any small issue. The area is super convenient, noise has not been an issue, and the gym/pool/free printing onsite are great perks. I have really enjoyed living here and would definitely recommend it.
Currently live here on 3rd floor. Location is great, never hear our neighbors really. Everyone I run into while walking my dog is nice. Price is good for 2 bedroom having a roommate. Gym is decent. Great place
Just wanted to take an opportunity to recommend this property based on leasing office staff alone—specifically Lindsay and Katie. Both were wonderful to work with. They were welcoming, courteous, and knowledgeable to me from start to finish.
Very Nice apartments to live in. Has many conveniences near by and as close as you can get to downtown while still living in Carmel.Management is great, especially Katie Harder who is always nice and has never hung up on me on once!
I have loved living here. We just renewed for another year! The maintenance staff and managers have always been prompt and pleasant. One wish I have is that the cabinets, countertops, and carpet were better quality. I understand they are built for renters, however, I plan to be here a while and wish they were more durable.
Very attentive management - I have to disagree with other reviews. High quality apartments with great rates - even on short term leases. Katie Harder was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Its been wonderful. The apartments have a good price market, the staff is helpful and professional, and I love that there is always a community activity for the residents.
Average apartment complex with an above average monthly rent and surcharge list:Pros:-all dog breeds allowed-decent locationCons:-owners do not pick up after dogs-hallways in apartment complexes are carpeted so liquid from trash bags and dog pee has stained the carpets and left a permanent smell in the hallways-not enough room for dog owners to properly walk and let their dogs out to use the restroom-elevator has been broken in my building since Ive moved in and still has not been repaired
No one ever answers the phones. I have tried calling on multiple days, at several different times. I was trying to set up an appt to view the apartments, guess Ill take my business elsewhere.
Ive ran cable in a few of these. Seem pretty decent to me!
