Scam, scam, scam.....my daughter paid her bill of $220.46.... and the Transaction on her debit card showed complete. A month ago(june1). They still have not turned her internet back on and will not refund her money. Now they are saying they never accepted the card cash app and yet the money Was taken off her card after she paid her bill....... This place is ripping off people.....
Okay less than one star. The company is allowing someone to use my banking information to pay their recurring charges for their service. I called Customer Service who told me to call my bank. They really don’t care and truly lack integrity. The reviews are pretty bad BEWARE!
This business is so unethical it is strange. My husband called to cancel our service since we were moving out state and they dont provide in our area. They charged the 280 for several months instead of the $15 a month for early cancelation. We returned the equipment in their return box with their label and now we are getting harassed and weve been transferred to a third party for collections. Im reporting this company today. Now, youre returning the extra money you took. They wouldnt cancel the contract and was still taking 280 until a manager on the phone with my husband heard me say no, they need to return all the those months and take the $15 a month. It says it in the contract and its on record that we requested to cancel back then. Theyre bullies to customers about the contract but dont adhere themselves. After I said they need to return the money the managers tune changed and she then said shed cancel without charge. Then they took our money to cancel anyway! We had to escalate to get a return and finally got it because nobody could see the notes but the manager. I was so happy to be done, I wasnt pressed about the money. But now, Im getting it back and Im making a very thorough report to the proper authorities to make sure you guys are held to standard. No ethics, no morale. Find another provider!And viasat, just so you know, my husbands attorney is with Womble, Bond, Dickinson. He handles his finances and we will be reporting to him as well as a few other places. You should try showing respect to the people willing to pay you or at the very least, have some ethics. Look the word up since you dont seem very familiar with it. And I know Ive told you Im reporting before. We were surrounded by CA wildfire smoke, and had a lot going on. But I have so much more on you now and am definitely going forward.
Well, I just FINALLY got so upset at the customer service that I will now be contacting MY legal representation. In the state I live, it is required that a person have at LEAST a LEA-b license in order to install or remove low voltage devices. As I have neither, it is ILLEGAL for me to do so. Cesar at VIASAT said that if I didnt remove it, they were going to charge me $95 for a service call to have a technician remove it. Now, theyre trying to extort $95 from me.I asked for the information on the local install company so I could talk with them directly. Our install tech was perfection. He was very clean. Did an amazing job of installing our devices. Was very friendly and his customer service was impeccable.Cesar tried telling me it was Quality Direc, LLC.. No such place exists any where near me. This is a lie Cesar!I have a witness transcribing the last 45 minutes of the conversation. We will be speaking with our attorney.The first picture is total length of time before THEY hung up on me. The second was me hitting numbers because they claimed the could hear me.

100% THE WORST SERVICE THERE IS. Ridiculously hard to get to Customer Service. When I did, to say my internet goes down 2 to 6 times a day, EVERY day, they said it was because I ran out of data. The plan I pay for says I will get slower speed when I run out, not NONE. After arguing that and finally getting a manager, I was promised a call back to schedule repairs. No, I had to call 3 more times, then get scheduled The manager did not even log my complaint, just tried to up-sell me. This company is a nightmare, all they do is try to up-sell you when you try to get service, the lie to you and NEVER NEVER call you back when they promise they will. Once my contract is over, I am the hell out of here. BEWARE, THEY LIE, THEY DO NOTHING TO HELP YOU, AND ARE SCAMMERS FOR MORE $$$$$ AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY!!!
The worst service in all existence! Huge rip off! We dont get anywhere near the speeds were supposed to. We pay 3x as much as any other company charges for unlimited data and its not even really unlimited. We cant stream shows or play most of our video games. My tracfone signal gets better download speeds.These crooked people allowed me to set up service in my husbands name but they wont let me cancel it even though all the payment information is in my name. Theyre trying to scam me out of another $160 this month. Do not trust this company of crooks!

Stay away!!!! At all cost!The sales rep lied to us about the data available for the month. He said on a recorded line that the main difference between viasat and other satellite companies is the unlimited data for the month and the consistency of mbps.He said they do not slow you down. I said excellent lets sign me up. Living in the country can be tough for certain services as it is. We had the service for 2days before we couldnt even load netflix for a show to relax in the evening.I called them and they said a hurricane hundreds of miles away was the problem. I gave it another 2 days and still the same problem. Then I got a confirmation email for their services. It said they slow you down after 30gigs of data.I called immediately. I said I want all services cancelled and no cancellation fees or installation fees for them lying to me on A RECORDED LINE.I talked to some 3rd world country p.o.s. rep that kept tryin to upgrade me and not cancel. They literally refused to cancel over and over and over again.I asked for the names of her and the supervisor whom also refused to get on the line when she would put me on hold over and over again to ask what to do next.Then after 40mins they hung up on me!!!I searched for corporate and he understood everything. Said to return the equipment and that there would be no charges. He essentially took care of my request.Now a month or so later they still tried to charge my card after an email confirming I cancelled my services. I of course disputed it and they turned it into collections.They are an absolute terrible company with horrible service all around. They will not work with me as far as documentation to dispute collections.I wish I could start my own company to put these people out of business. Idk how companies stay in business. Anyone that uses this service must put reviews up for google because it is a scam.
I will NEVER recommend this company I live in a rural area i need internet for live conferences, I asked will I be able to stream live I dont want to enter a contract if not. The rep said yes we guarantee it. So they came out hooked it up and it kept cutting out or disconnecting my calls so I thought maybe if I up the speed nope did not help I had my service for a total 5 days from they day they came out to the day they disconnected my service I explained to them what the issue was how I was told it will work. They wanted to charge me 380 disconnect fee plus one month bill plus a half month bill for upping the speed for 1 day. When I called to dispute the charges I was told I had a contract and my fees are valid. I told them to go back and listen to the recording and told them I was guaranteed and I guess they lie to customers so they can charge them an arm and leg after. I was on the phone for 2.5 hours and nothing was resolved. Im very angry and upset on how I was lied to and then get charged so much for 5 days of service that did not work for what I needed it for!

I would not recommend this provider for anyone, especially if your going through at&t, they give you no information on there 24 month contract and if you have to do it early termination they charge you $300 plus their service is horrible I cannot stream any videos on my kids tablets it kept lagging and the resolution was horrible. Please make sure you are aware of what you get into before you sign up with them.
We are paying for an average of 25 Mbps. Its never ever been over 12 at any time of the day or night. But recently its dropped below 1. So we call tech support figuring our dish got misaligned due to recent storms. After an hour on hold and rebooting things multiple times /w tech support we are escalated. Foolish me, I assumed a tech would be coming out. Nope. Nothing wrong w/ our dish or modem. Viasat simply changed the plan we signed up for right under our noses. They claim they sent an message but we didnt get an email and there is nothing on our Viasat account. Given that such things are likely to go to SPAM, you would think they would post SOMETHING on the account page. Nope. We now get reduced speeds on the old satellite unless we pay $50/month MORE for 50 FEWER Gig (even though the plans listed on their public site are actually for far less than we are really paying - but hey, were not NEW customers so we dont matter). Our only other option - quit and have no service. No letter, no call, no apology, no explanation. Just - Weve decided to stop offering you what you contractually signed up for. Sorry. Sucks to be you. If you have ANY other options at all - use them. Do not use Viasat. Repeat - do NOT use Viasat.

Ironically, when I traveled to Florida on business from Wisconsin, I saw one of the representatives on the airport shuttle I was on. I asked him how much service was here. He replied you can get 25 GB for 3995.That was 25% of what I was paying. When I called I asked them about it they said that plan was not available in the area in which I live.Fast-forward one year. After experiencing horrible service and intermittent availability, as well as having to drive into town and use McDonalds while this because it was actually better, I moved across the country. They asked me if I wanted to move my service. That came with a fee of $100 on each end. I said no, I would like to cancel. Why dont you wait and see if the people that wants to move in wish to use the service?It turns out they didnt, and I asked them to cancel. At that point I was not presented with the option of anybody going to pick up equipment, just told I would have to pay about $600, and why didnt I just go on this vacation plan that would take me to the end of my contract and then everything would be fine.My contract ended and, guess what? They charged me another month of $154. Viasat is running a scam.The automated system doesnt take your credit card payment and sends you to the representative.The representative tells you that they see that the card actually was accepted on their end.They tell you that they can take the payment over the phone, but it will cost an extra $5.00, or else you can go back to the automated system.You go back to the automated system, re- input all your card information and it wont take your payment again. ( Payment transaction failed)It sends you back to the representative and you wait on hold to repeat the cycle until you give in and give them the 5 bucks.I finally had to threaten to quit Viasat to have them wave the fee....I dont sense any customer service expertise in the reps.This is the only company I work with that wont say Im sorry sir, our system is malfunctioning and were sorry for the inconvenience. Here, let us go ahead and wave the $5 since the problem is on our end.This was my experience today. A half hour of my life. After you reach your data cap, service is completely useless until the next billing cycle. Their main income source will be charging you an early termination fee for canceling your contract. Look else where for better service.

I am very disappointed in customer service and sales, I was LIED to by the person in sales that I agreed to one price and was charged more. I called customer service and was told they would check on it, no satisfaction. I called sales they assured my they would have a supervisor contact me, a week later no response. I was told the conversation was recorded, yet no one can find the time to listen. I provided the sales persons name as well. My satellite is good so far, but the rest is pitiful
Horrible online service. I was trying to find which services they provide in our area and got stuck for 10-15 min twice on their website. When I tried to chat I got stuck with a bot that kept asking me for my current account and phone number. Horrible service these days.
We used this internet service and are highly dissatisfied. We have fire stick tv and the streaming was awful. We started at $55/mo plan, then after expressing our dissatisfaction, were told to upgrade to $100/plan and change tv resolution to improve streaming. Still no improvement. After giving it maybe 4 days we said we wanted to cancel it and receive a pro-rated refund for the 4 days we had higher stream plan. They then told me they had discounted already the $108 they charged me in the last bill. I told them $28 was not a refund when I was expecting at least $50 since we could not use the upgraded streaming to even watch our shows. They then said they wanted to charge $300 to cancel contract.Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company. They will rip you off and charge unexplained amounts on your card. They will do everything in their power to not pay you your refund. Just.Dont. Go. There...
Very slow internet. Called for help did not get anywhere called the salesman Sergio who promised such great service and I got ignored. Please dont waste your money. I wish I read the reviews before I got sucked in.

I would NOT recommend this internet to most people. Although it can be fast internet while you have priority data, your speed will DRAMATICALLY drop once youve passed your cap. We were misled to believe that our speed would remain in the 15-20 Mbps range after we passed our limit, and after locking us into a two year contract we discovered speeds of .5-1 Mbps. We found another provider in our area and when we cancelled our contract with Viasat they gave us a $200 cancellation fee. Very disappointed in how they treated us at the termination of contract.
Experience from having to deliver something there: The business sends all their deliveries to one building down the street, yet only some of the employees are sending their deliveries to the right address, the rest are sending to the corporate office address who directs you back to the original address. If you are visiting here give yourself 20 to 25 minutes of time to actually find the right building since, there are lots of different buildings on both sides of the street, some three or four buildings behind the building facing the street.

PLEASE CALL THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND REPORT!I have been a customer of Viasat for 13 months. Initially I was scammed by a sign up company called Reconnect Internet Service out of Oklahoma. They promise all kinds of great service with no limits blah blah... It was all BS when you do agree your sent a customer agreement and told its generic and everyone has to agree but that it wouldnt apply to me. But once you agree your no longer in contact with the sign up company and everything is how it is in the agreement. At best I can get 15 mbps I pay for 25. after your data cap is reached your throttled back to 0.02- 0.7 mbps. The only fix to this is to call during the day on a weekday and spend 2-3 hours with easycare to get to the tier 3 service department. They and only the tier 3 techs can fix the issue. they add 5 gigs of data to your plan. This will get you above 3 mbps. Unfortunately you will have to do this every month and they will not always do this for you. Some times they will simply tell you that they do not have to provide you with any speed just a connection. This is not one bad person. This is the corporate structure and strategy. They have over sold their infrastructure and have not slowed down to care for the customer as they make a large amount of free money from cancellation fees. Its as if they could care less if you cancel or stay either way once you fall for the false advertisements and sign up they make their money.
I just dodged a bullet by canceling this service within 24 hours of ordering it. Having dealt with their sales department and customer service I can say they are about the worst out there. I will be waiting for a while to get the refund for the charges I wasnt supposed to get in the first place for a while, no doubt, but it is worth it to not have this bunch of weasels as part of my life. One could easily write a book about how inept this organization is. If you have an alternative at twice the price and half the ISP performance - TAKE IT. If you get stuck with them - good luck.

Will not answer my calls. The band width is very limited. Went to various test sites and ran various online test and they all rated ViaSat service with an F rating. That is the lowest rating any service can get. I too recommend that everyone stay away from these idiots. Service in all is not what they say. This service was actually provided by Dish Network and I pay them for piss poor service. Had I known this to begin with, I would have not subscribed.

Its frustrating enough not having access to other providers when living in a rural area and having to rely on satellite internet, but even moreso when having to deal with lousy customer service.When I went to switch my bill from the Exede plan I started on, I noticed that there was a Liberty 50 plan for $30/month cheaper and 25 GB more bandwidth. Why wouldnt they have automatically switched us over to that plan, or at least contacted us to let us know there were other plans available?When I reached out to customer support via chat to inquire about a refund or account credit, they told me there was nothing they could do and that I should reach out to the customer support phone line. The gal, while friendly, was not able to reach a resolution that I considered acceptable, which is to say she did nothing also.I think its a little dishonest to be charging someone more for less, then not offering any compensation when they realize it. The first gal I talked to said that the Liberty Plan had been available for quite some time, which means we could have been paying $30/month extra a month for a year or more. $360 annually for less service. Gross.If you can avoid them, I would. Even their entry level plan of 50 GB is hardly relevant in the age of streaming media.
Ive had Viasat for abut 6 months, and Im here to tell you the way they make their money must be their termination fees. They offer what they call unlimited service, but that couldnt be farther from the truth. They state that after a certain amount of data you may be throttled due to network congestion. What they dont tell you is that the throttled speeds are so slow that it takes about 15 seconds to load a webpage, slow enough to make secure sites (i.e. sites you pay bills on) not work, or time out due to excessive latency (between 2k-15k ms), impossible to stream netflix or hulu at even the lowest quality, and even so slow, it takes 5 minutes to download a TEXT FILE. As for customer service, literally the worst people. Oh and dont even think about going past your bills due date, or they will instantly cut you off, often without warning, then refuse to work with you at all on you bill. Fact is they will never change their policy, because folks like me, who have no other choice (I have nothing, not even dialup, which would be preferable to this garbage) will always go to them so they can communicate. I really feel as if this is a huge scam, especially to pay TWICE the amount that I previously paid for fiber optic Internet at my last house.In closing, if you have ANY other alternative, I urge you to use them instead. Look into DSL, Fixed Wireless, 4GLTE providers, smoke signals, ANYTHING else than this overpriced, massive, bloated piece of amphibian garbage that is Viasat
Please don’t waste your money here! I have only had this service for 2 weeks. The internet does not work! You are better off going to any other provider they make you purchase your own router PLUS rhe service hardly works they blame it on other users in your area! They make you may $95 for a service technician and you’ll probably need one every other day because the signal drops so much!!! Please don’t waste your money! And on top of that the cs reps argue with you instead of trying to fix the problem! They show no simpathy if your having an issue they just say they’ll cancel your account and yoyill get charges $360! They do not care !!!!
WildBlue satellite internet service the most corrupt company since internet neutrality loss they turned down every customers internet service to dial up. We used to go 20 days before being told we used 10 gigs of service now we were told it was used up in 3 days and our service was turned down to nothing pretty much shut off. They try and force you to buy more service at a higher rate Customer service threatens to shut you off if you keep calling and complaining, they BLAME customers and laugh at you on the phone when you ask to speak to supervisors. They schedule technicians and no one shows up or you are told you have to pay in CASH before they do any work.
For $94 a month (not including fees) you can get internet service from Viasat formerly EXEDE but beware because If you steam any type of videos (Ex. YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and/or Amazon you will be unable to stream any content even audio is flakey. In addition, this company offers a low rate for a year however their year apparently only consists of 3 months,on top of that you are charged an annual fee; I advised my grandmother to cancel their services they gave her a fee to cancel along with the annual fee although she only had services with them for 6 months. The part that bothers me the most is they want my grandfather to climb on a ladder and get one of their pieces of equipment off of the roof and if he does not they want to charge him over a $100 to come out there and remove it themselves. PLEASE BEWARE!!!

I would rate as Horrible - Atrocious if it was an option... Fair and Poor do not adequately describe the business.Do not use this company. They lock you into a 24 month contract without providing any of the information before you sign. I just filled a complaint with the BBB (case 75196594) after trying to leave their service after only 24 hours. BE WARNED, they sign you up for a very inadequate service with no grace period after failing to disclose important details prior to signing the contract.Again...stay away from this company. They also operate under the name Wild Blue and Exede.

I agree.. worst internet provider ever.. i was referred to this company by direct TV and thought i was getting a bundle package with AT&T. this no name company came and installed. once i realized that they were not AT&T i called to check on rates and service. Terrible. i have better internet speed and faster data thru my mobile phone for only $10/month. i never signed a contract and canceled within 1 week of install. all equipment has been returned and i was told they would charge my credit card on file, which i never gave them, Direct TV did. i had already canceled the credit card on file because they charged my 1st month bill to it in advance without my authorization. i was told i would receive a final bill in the mail with a statement of charges that i requested. Nope, just a very vague final bill payment due invoice for over $300.00 and threats to send me to collections. i never even had the opportunity to dispute, pay or hold Direct TV liable for mis information. i hope the viasat team contacts me to get this issue resolved. i never signed a contact or received service from your company, you already charged my credit card for 1 month payment how could i owe you an additional $300+. Crooks..
AN IRONIC 5 STAR RATINGThis review is to rate the customer service I received from Mikaela in the disconnections department with regards to my particular set of circumstances causing us to disconnect service, NOT the actual product (signal, etc.) itself. Our family relies heavily (as do most) on the internet not as a luxury but rather a utility. We had the service installed and for only 6 days endured such a poor internet signal that we were forced to terminate service. The principal of the matter was that regardless of canned legalese built into the contract and agreement for customers to incur costs associated with termination if done so before the 24 months are up, we were provided with simply unsatisfactory, almost non-existent internet services. This caused a host of operational disruptions to the home with the highlight being my childs inability to complete several homework assignments for school. We had written Viasat a letter urging them to contact us to discuss the matter and why we thought it completely unjust to collect early termination fees for a service that never actually worked. This letter was sent on two separate occasions and we were never contacted. Soon after that Viasat recruited the help of a collections agency and that is where we drew the line. I took roughly 38 minutes on the line with Mikaela and laid out the facts and repercussions of having their product fail us as a household and after researching and working her hardest she was able to completely dissolve the charges.The bottom line here is that yes, their product is atrociously lacking but if there were perhaps more people like Mikaela on the technical side of things this post wouldnt exist. Pay more for a proven ISP and avoid the hassle of having to prove was is right and wrong to Viasat. Again, 5 stars for them doing the right thing but 1 star for the quality of the product.

Im only at this location on weekends and that is when the service is/would be used.The level of customer service that I get is horrible. I was a Wildblue customer for years and it was fine. I liked it a lot, it worked. Then I got upgraded to the Excede service service and it has been nothing but trouble. 90% of the time it never worked/was offline and not because of anything that I did. Finally, I cancelled my service and paid the remainder of the contract, yes I hated it that much.8 months later, during some construction on my home, against my better judgement, I re-invited Excede to install the service on in my home again. The installer (not an Excede employee or Viasat employee), a private contractor, installed the dish on my roof. Mind you, it is April and there are no leaves on the trees, After a few hours, the technician was able to obtain a signal and I had satellite internet once more.That first weekend in April I had service as I did the following two weekends. I returned after my honeymoon to discover that the trees finally bloomed with all of their leaves. While this is great, it also means that I no longer had internet service. I called Technical support and requested that my dish be moved and was promptly told that I would have to speak to the service technician who is an outside contractor. After several attempts to speak to these contractors, one of them finally texted me and said they would move the dish for $200. (plus being charged $30 by Excede for the service call). I was outraged. My contract is with Excede, not Billy Bobs Fly-by-night Satillite installers. I told the contractor that was unacceptable at which he replied The best I can do is $150. I told him to forget it.Over the course of the next couple of months I had to take action. Because of the construction at my home, I MOVED THE DISH to the new location, try as I may, I was not able to hold a signal. It would connect but then disconnect.It is now the middle of August. I have not had Internet service since the first week of May, but I still pay for it. I have called technical support several times to give me the information I need to align the dish myself and they have refused to provide with the needed information. I have made several attempts to get service to come out to my home on a Saturday or Sunday to re-align the dish. Ive been hung up nearly every call. Ive been told that the technicians dont work on weekends. During this period of no service.... absolutely zero service... one of the technical support people actually insisted that have seen periods of activity on my account during the months of no service. Really?? Would I be calling you because my service is offline if it wasnt??This weekend, the 15th & 16th, I made 3 attempts to have technical support fix my issue. All three times I was hung up on.I have come to the decision that I will cancel my service with Excede/Wildblue. Purely based on the horrific customer service that I get and absolute lack of attention that my issue gets. The only thing this company is interested in is the money they take from my account every month and that is about to stop. If Excede wants to charge me a cancellation fee for breaking contract, fine. I would rather pay the $250 to cancel my account than throw away the $50 a month for the next 19 months, it is far cheaper.HughesNet, here I come.

Terrible customer service. Slow internet performance. They only want to get your money and charge you for every thing they can. I had their service for several years as I only had limited options when I first signed with them. They wanted to charge $100 to move my dish 2 feet from the roof to the side of my single story house. After I cancelled their service, I received an email that my bill was available on line. However when I tried to view my bill, I got a message that the account was closed and I was unable to see it. Several calls and emails later their customer service said they would request a paper bill to be sent to me -- that was 3 weeks ago and still no paper bill. I will now dispute their charge with my credit card company and see if that gets their attention. There are more internet options available to me today and I now have new internet service through my cell phone provider. No satellite dish or $$$ outside installation required. I took the Verizon receiver/wifi router home, put it on a shelf, plugged it in and am operating at a speed much much faster than the Via Sat internet has ever provided. Another benefit will be no snow to sweep out of a dish.
They are the worst internet provider ever. Stay away!! They sign you up in to a contract, and if you are not happy with their service, WHICH YOU WILL NOT BE, and want to cancel, they want to charge you a $300.00+ fees. The internet is limited and very slow. I regret signing up with them, and if I had the $300.00 I would be out of this nighmare already. By the way they also go by the name of Exede & Wildblue. They were refered to me by DirectTV, and thats why I thought they were good. Lies all lies.
Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No Customer Service and worst Internet service Ive ever experienced. Waiting for my 2 year contract to expire so I can be done with them. Definitely would never refer them to anyone.
WORST internet service in History. It is horrible and the customer service is even worse. They treat you like an idiot every time you call, is everything plugged in ahh that must of been it, I didnt have anything plugged in. They refuse to take responsibility for their horrible service and it takes an act of God to get out of their 2 year contract. NEVER NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE.

Do not get this service. If you have a cellphone with tethering do that instead. Horrible customer service, once you cancel they do not let you keep the service till the end of cicle bill.

DO NOT USE THEM!! They will lie to get you to sign some pretend contract that no one ever tells you about. They have hidden fees. Their data is limited and EXPENSIVE. They do not offer wifi. The tech was 11 hours late. When your service goes down it will take 2 DAYS for them to come out to fix it. STAY AWAY, FAR FAR AWAY!!!
Horrible service and when we canceled they took almost $700 out of our account ! Steer clear or this company.
