My husband tried coming here, and he was waiting for about 2 hours. One of they’re friends came in & they get first dibs. This place is not professional at all! Don’t waste your money here!
Loved the shop. Good barber. Strongly recommend.
There late a lot on their own appointments, and they take a lot of time doing other things rather than cutting hair like going to get something to eat and not come back for an hour and a half. haircuts are way overpriced for them to do not what you asked for. it used to be the go to place, but now i would seriously recommend to go somewhere else!
I was greatful to get my Grandson in last minute/Walk-in Geno was a great barber n looked really good when finished and would recommend Geno again! Thank you Grandson likes his haircut & lots of compliments 💇♂️
This shop is terrible. They are unprofessional, they overcharge you and take advantage of you like crooks. Worst of all is the favoritism, their friends will cut line on that meaningless list. They dont respect you as a grown person, you and your time mean nothing. If you have anywhere to be you better cancel your plans for the next 2-3 hours, because you will be standing outside of the shop waiting, appointment or not. Absolutely humiliating.
Great barber atmosphere and even better cuts.
Wilson cut my hair and he was very professional and accommodating. I came in looking rough and left looking like a snack. Thanks to Wilson.
Just shameful! Charges a extra $10 for appointments. However they are never on time for appointments than there’s a $30 charge for kids as in 5year olds hair cuts for unprofessional service.
Overcharging for sub-par experience & results. Find another shop.
Theres a guy there named Royal that does specialty cuts in designs along with traditional cuts. Couldnt ask for a better experience or better Barber.
Fredi was awesome, very clean and professional experience. My beard looks super sharp. Thank you very much!
Wilson is the greatest!
Been coming here for 1.5 years. My old guy left, I went to Royal. He did an amazing job. I will keep coming to this place.
They take time with you to give the very best.
Talk about skills. So many talented barbers that work here and can get you in and out with a fresh cut. My personal favorite is Fred. He is an amazing barber and really focuses on what you want him to do. Not at all pricey and good quality service. Being a male I have a hard time finding people who are good at using single bladed razors but Fred is the man for that.
Disrespectful and never on time and never answers phone ...shut them down or fire every one and get new people
Great place for hair cut.
Look, all of the stylists were African American and my family is Caucasian. Now that that point is made clear, it was an awesome experience. One of my three boys needed a haircut and it was fun for him and his older brother who sat with me. He got a newer styled cut and it looked good. Not my type of a cut, but that just means Im getting old. The barber, nicknamed Boomer, did a good job with the cut like I said, but he attempted to connect with my two boys (10 & 7 - with the 7 year old getting the cut). Well be coming back.
Coldest barber I’ve met is Boomer. He’s also a very personable guy. He made me feel very comfortable and I’ll definitely be back.
I’ve been going here for years. It’s been on and off with the quality but it’s usually at least okay. It’s overpriced and very unprofessional. Also, little to no one in the store wears masks.
Fredi is the man!
My barber at Shear Innovations is Takela! I love my haircut every time shes cuts it. I never have to worry about how it looks or how long itll last. I get the most for my money out of each haircut. I even let her decide my styles for me from time to time! Thats how much I love her haircuts! 💯💯💯
Takeela is one of the best barbers in this place. Always ready to accommodate me on her schedule and does a great job.
The best barbershop in Burnsville Mn! I’m all the way from Cali, just recently moved here looking for a barbershop, if they’re were more than 5 stars these guys and ladies got it! Check them out won’t regret it!
Been getting cut here by Cesar for 2 years. Ive always had a great experience and gotten a great cut. Best barber shop in the south suburbs. Make an appointment and show up ten minutes early, you wont be disappointed!!
My first time in this place and was wondering
Went to this shop because they were one of the few black barber shops in the suburban area. People are nice, but unprofessional and kind of unorganized. No real system on how they do things. Got there and it seemed packed, signed my brothers name down reached when there was an opening but one of the barbers who was just sitting around was able to get me in right away. He seemed nice and talked to me and my brother while he was getting a hair cut. But he also paused a-lot when he would talk either to us or other barbers. When finally finished he charged $20 (plus tip) for my brothers haircut but as we later discovered he gave him a trash line up and on-top of that a bald spot on the back of his hair. Now he always wears a hat when in public. Very disappointed. Please don’t go here and get a cut from Sen. Also if you do choose to take your chances note that they are a CASH ONLY establishment. Will now be going to Trendz Barber shop.
Friendly service and professional fresh cuts is what I got my last visit there. Theres a lot of different TV screens available playing different programming (e.g sports) for your entertainment while waiting for your turn. oh and theres confusing with whos next or whatever as they have a sign in sheet. Cant give 5 stars because its a little bit cramped space. Overall good 2 thumps up.
They dont pick up the phone, you wait for at least an hour before you get your hair cut even when you have an appointment and they overcharge. I will never go back or recommend this place to my friends its too unprofessional and Id rather cut my own hair than deal with their bs
A RIP off ask for simple design and they tried to charge me $60.00 just for the sides of my head, not a whole cut because I have braids at top. No more business from or grandsons .
Ive been going here for about 4 years now. Cesar cuts me and my sons hair. Always does a great job and is very serious about his craft. Everyone in the shop is awesome and they all have great attitudes! Will continue to get my service for many years to come!
Horrible customer service! Absolutely terrible. When you walk up to their desk NOBODY and I do mean NOBODY will walk up and greet you, or tell you how long the wait is. They have a piece of paper you write your name down on and number. Apparently they call out your name and dont call your phone. Not sure why they have you put down a number. So meanwhile your walking around expecting a call from them, after hours of waiting, go to find out they have been calling out names from the list to people sitting in the shop. Nobody mentions anything to you about how they do things. Finally they get my kid in the chair. But they messed his hairline up its super crooked and his fade is nice on one side and choppy on the other. We go back to get it fixed and AGAIN nobody says anything to us. Were just sitting there, and sitting there, and sitting there. Finally I just got up and left. Dont waste your money or time. Go to the Artisan Barber shop in west st. Paul they have great customer service and they do a great job at cutting hair.
Excellent
I have been looking for good stylist since I moved to this area. Found Shear Innovations- Burnsville and Im glad I did. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and gave the best haircut.
Do not go here unless you have the entire day to wait around. There is no customer service morale. There is a sign up list which is just for show. Do not rely on it as you will NEVER be served. All I wanted was a haircut. I arrived 20 minutes before opening and after waiting 2 hours and watching over 5 walk-ins after me get served, I finally left. I was a fool for being hopeful that they valued my money. Dont make the same mistake. They only serve clients they know. New customers are unwanted.
Got me in right away and I received a great cut, hot towel shave and beard trim with cut in. I will be back.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!I first made an appointment and then I watched 2 people who were walk ins get cut before I did. I waited for 45 minutes after when I scheduled to get a hair cut then left. They called me back and I decided to go back and get a haircut. This dude claimed to be a pro, but cut my hair like he was using his left hand. he faded one side and cut the other side straight up. not to mention he was on his phone for 70% of the time I was in the chair. he was in a big hurry and left the hair long on one of my side burns.. I didnt realize it until I got home because he never offered to show me his work. NOT TO MENTION I PAID $25 for this bullshit haircut... but on the window it said $20
The language is horrible for a place of business in a shopping mall. I wouldnt take my grandchildren there Ever! If I wanted to hear that type of language and or conversation Id go North! No thank you. How sad that I experienced this in a Black owned shop. And they didnt even respect that a lady walked in. I was not greeted at all. I love to patronized my community however, this time its sadly impossible.
Ive came to Shear for several years to have my hair cut by Taylor, who has since relocated. I came to receive a cut by Caesar, whom Taylor recommended and I was more than pleased. Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere with no rush and these gentleman always spin out very nicely done professional cuts. If you seek a barber in the Twin Cities Area, Shear Innovations is the spot. 10/10 recommended for everyone.
The barbers are very nice and they give great cuts for an affordable price
Cesars been cutting my hair for about 4 yrs now and its always clean. Would recommend going here and scheduling an appointment with cease!
Great place to get haircuts for guys and salon services for both male and female African Americans and others
My son got perfect hair cut and he was so happy.
Cesar has been cutting my hair for a year now and hes the best barber there give my mans props no one there cuts like he does best barber Ive had ! I recommend to make an appointment with him always !
Wow. Very unprofessional business here. If you need a good cut, former barber Cesar was the only bright spot skill-wise, and is highly professional, and cant believe he ever worked with such an ungroomed, ill-mannered bunch. Trendz Barbershop in Apple Valley. No this is not a fake. I just went in there desperate for a last minute cut because I have business in a few days, and was disrespected by at least three of the barbers. And the big catch for me is, they cant even cut. *shrugs* bagged my current hairstyle, tried joking on me for 10-15mins straight. But Im a business man, not gonna let you walk over me, but Im also not gonna spend my money in a place like that either. Im just not gonna do it. I walked out of there with my head held high, knowing they will still be the same barbershop comedians a year and a half from now.
Shear Innovations is the best place to split your wig. I would highly recommend it for everyone. Friendly and professional. Their busy hours are listed on that graph, or put in your number and theyll call when ready. I can cut my own hair, but they can do designs. They do custom or freestyle, for the same price as a regular haircut, and the cut can come with it. Great service. Since they are great barbers, they can get busy during busy hours.
DONT WASTE TIME OR MONEY...We just moved out to Burnsville from Mpls this was my second time taking my son to get his hair cut there. Tried two barber and both cuts where OK AT BEST but the service was HORRIBLE there attitude and cursing in the store by the barbers in front of kids is ridiculous and they are overpriced one barber charged 20$ for kids cut the other 25$.. overall poorly run business with no sense of management or any type of customer service. We now make the 20min drive to south Mpls for hair cuts. Oh and they don’t take cards or have proper change after u use the expensive ATM around the Conner so get ur own cash and change and we’ll at this point just cut the hair ur self to probably have similar outcome..
Never answers the phone
First, the shop has a sign-up list which no one goes by. If the barbers don’t know you they will not even look in your direction. Average wait time is about an hour. The vibe in the shop is terrible, the service is terrible. Been here twice and each time waiting over an hour and a half.Horrible shop, the worst shop I been in Minneapolis. ✋🏿👇🏿
Great place if you have a different ethnic background for sure because they know how to cut anybodys hair! By far one of the best places Ive been to for getting my hair cut. Doesnt take that long either and on top of that everyone there makes good conversation and its all decently priced as well! Would reccomend to anyone looking for quality hair cuts for a quality price!
My Grandson had an appointment scheduled for a Tuesday. The barber texted on Tuesday right before the appointment and canceled. He rescheduled us for that Thursday at 6pm. Got there about 5:50 and he said he forgot to put us on the books. He was finishing up with a client and we were supposed to be next but he took 2 walk ins before us. Then when he finished the 2 walk ins he stated he had to run something outside to someone and NEVER came back in. I used to love this place when the original owner was there. Now its very unprofessional and I wont go back or reccomend it to anyone.
Went to this barbershop the sunday before christmas eve. I was a walk-in at this barbershop and waited 3 hours before realizing that people that came in to barbershop after me were getting there haircut before me. I then told one of the barbers that I may have been skipped. He assured me I wasnt, and that he would double check he roster after his next client. Sure enough after he checked, he realized that I was skipped. Long story short I ended up getting a descent haircut. But it was a huge inconvenience for me. The haircut should have been free or half off. I would not recommend this barbershop due to poor organization. You guys should invest in a digital computerized system for your clients so mistakes like this dont happen in the future.
Convenient, but long wait times
Amazing job, Royal does the best cuts ever and is 100% legit at what he does and the quality of his work and art.
Service is okay but haircuts are great
I went here before i had a lady cut my sons hair she did an amazing job i wanted to go back and this old man who is African American cut his hair and omg he is the worst barber i have ever seen he talks too much he doesnt pay attention to what he is doing. He made his hair uneven he took a chunk out of his hair in the front.even scrape his skin while he was talking tm When i told him to fix it he cut his hair shorter and made it worst then he started yelling and arguing with me saying am looking for a free hair cut. This the worst place u have ever seen i will never go back.
Great barbers. They are busy so you need to be patient.
My son has had his hair cut here twice. The first time was ok nothing fabulous for the amount I spent but it was whatever. Second time he was brought in was even worse looks like they tried to line up the back but completely failed so now one side is super high looks horrible. At the end of the day I could do a better job at home and save the $100 and will do that next time.
Very horrible experience. I went in to get my sons haircut. I asked for a specific cut AND showed a picture. He gave my son a completely different haircut, not even similar to what I requested. I paid the $30 and went home, only to find out on their website that kids cuts are supposed to be $15, so I was fraudulently overcharged by the barber. He clearly did not know what he was doing. My sons hair was long, now its very short and all crooked. Luckily its hair and it will grow back, but this is a horrible barber shop.
The diversity professionalism and skill set of these barbers are second to none
This place sucks!! The barbers here are very slow, asked for a simple beard lineup and it took them 40 minutes to do this. Also, the cost of a beard lineup is $7, when I went to pay the barber told me it was $12. Overall below average barbers, slow service, and a huge rip-off
Im sorry but this is the last straw of just poor unprofessional service absolutely slowest service. So tired of putting my name on a list to never be called, whatever this is now a last resort barber sorry, people are nice everything else garbage.
The shop is top notch and very professional.
I have ben taking my 3 boys here for many, many years and am extremely disappointed by what I experienced today. What kind of chaotic BS of a place did this become? We signed in. Waited and waited...and waited. Then left 1+ hours later. We were second in line btw. 2nd in line from the time we signed in...btw. Its the back to school season. 3 people working? What is the point of a sign in what when you dont follow it? Robert...if you are still the owner...check on your business. We will NEVER be back.
John is One of a kind💯🏁
Get your cut from Royal!!!! He will get u right!!!!!
They give the best hair cuts
Waited for 2 hours to get a cut. After 30 min, I was told it would be another 30 min. Waited some more before I just walked out. No sense of urgency or willingness to get me in by any of the staff. Saw numerous people walk in after and get cuts. One of the barbers asked another to cut my hair 3 separate times and was shrugged off. He was tryin to look out for me but still, I felt completely discriminated against.
Best haircut ive had in a while, highly recomended.
The best barbershop in Minnesota
My barber is the best in town Nile House
A good place toget a haircut
Great place, always hooking it up! Shoutout to Royal
Horrible service, my son waited 3 hrs. For a hair cut. Letting people go ahead him, does not go off the sign list.
This place is a joke! They tell you the wait is 15 mins and you sit there and wait over that then people who come in after you get in before you do! The “barbers” get an attitude with you when you ask them who is next bc they have a list and they don’t even go by it. Save your time and go somewhere else.
Great place to get a cut
Royal is The MAN!!! Best fades in town he takes his time and takes care of his customers The right way!
Got cut here twice in the past few years cuz I was in a rush. Dont do it to yourself.
They are very good
Great Price and Conversations, Great Employees!!
Very poor service. I went there to get my 3 year old sons hair cut, and we were not greeted at the door. Eventually someone told me to write my sons name down. We waited for an hour and when a barber became available, we were told that they were waiting on an appointment. Then we seen that same barber take a guy who had been waiting after us. The kids haircuts are overpriced and I wouldnt recommend this barber to anyone. Very unorganized!
3pm appt didnt get cut to 4:15My Barber had a client in his chair when I walked in.Disrespectful. Then another guy came in who was the same nationality of my Barber and he took him before me.Disrespectful. Then this client engaged in a short conversation with me and I wasnt even talking to him. By this time I addressed my Barber and told him I will not be disrespected in this place. So I wasnt letting him cut my hair at this point. I got cut up by another Barber, my hair looks good but as far as returning. NOT AT ALL.
Because he cut my hair wrong
Mikayla got me clean right before my video shoot . Don’t sleep on her ! 💯🎬
I would never go there again! Im just go stick with my regular barber!
Great Shop!!
Best barber shop in Burnsville hands down
They messed up my hair horrible
Took way too long. Make an appointment or you will be there all night. They all talk way too much.
You guy should get your hair cut from J.J because he will do exactly as you ask
Really good barbershop
$40 for a mens haircut....enough said
Go to juwan. You can make appointments also.
Love this spot
Great service
Very pathetic service, I had to wait 2 hours for cut mine hairs, staff are very slow, I would suggest not to visit
