The worst dentist I ever dealt with ever! He ruined my front teeth and on top of that refused to refund me my money, or even fix his terrible mistake!!! For whitening my teeth, he charged me a fortune and the result: BLUE TEETH!!! Shame on you. He should be in jail.

Dr. Ron McKay is wonderful. The entire staff at Toluca Lake Dentistry is kind, through and friendly. I have been getting regular exams and cleanings for 10 years here and my teeth are very healthy. This is an upscale experience. I feel like I am with family and very relaxed whenever I am getting any work done.Thank you for everything. I am so happy youve been there for me and my oral health.

Doctor McKay is absolutely amazing. All my life Ive suffered from dentist fobia to the point Ive avoided dentist for decades. Growing up, my dental experiences were very traumatizing. Ive turned into patient that would bite dentist at almost every visit. Finally, at age of 39 I was dealing with my first cavity.Ouch! I was so scared to book the appointment, but after meeting with Dr. McKay I knew I was in the best hands possible. He was so kind and understanding, very professional and honest. He walked in the room with the big smile on his face and made me feel comfortable. He explained the entire procedure step by step. His assistants also made the entire process so easy that I am actually trauma free now. I am so grateful to him and his entire staff. Perhaps to someone, cavity is no big deal, but it was to me and Dr. McKay understands that.Big thanks to the entire office staff for being so amazing at your profession.

I tried calling this office to become a new patient. I was referred by a friend. But when I called, the receptionist I spoke to was very curt and cold. After being left on hold for a while, the receptionist returned, she appeared to be having a bad day and kept on saying no sir in a condescending, slightly annoyed voice. I tried to find a suitable date to schedule my appointment. Unfortunately after a few minutes on the phone, I didnt get an appointment but I did get some attitude from the receptionist

Dr. McKay is AMAZING!!! His office has all the latest equipment, is clean and his staff are so friendly and attentive:-) Dr. McKay is patient and explains everything he is doing. He has EXCELLENT bedside manners!!! I could not be happier with my experience!!! I will definitely be returning!!!

I hadnt been to a dentist in more than 5 years and after my appointment with Dr. McKay now regret my history. I was made to feel extremely comfortable by his staff and Dr. McKay himself was extremely gracious. Not once did I feel the trepidation I remember from my past experiences with dentistry.

Dr. Mckay is hands down.. the best dentist in all of SoCal!He is intelligent, caring, and has a state of the art practice. In addition, he is gentle and witty . Trust me, a sense of humor always helps when you see all kinds of scary drills and pokey instruments laying on the table.I have had everything from my wisdom teeth extractions to fillings to Botox (shhhh!!!) done at this office. It honestly doesnt get any better than this. I walk in looking all haggard and come out completely beautified with dazzling teeth. And each time I went in, Dr. Mckay and his staff were very friendly, patient, and above all, professional. You really couldnt ask for anything more from a dental office. Oh, and you get a goodie bag at the end of your visit --- a toothbrush, toothpaste and some dental floss. ( I love free stuff!)Overall, it was a great experience. Please beware of Dr. Charm drill and bill.I have been going to this office for over 10 years and I have previously given Dr. McKay 5 stars on Google. Unfortunately, I no longer feel Dr. McKay is even deserving of 2-stars. During my most recent visit, he recommended that I remove 2 teeth before my pending open heart surgery. During the extractions, bone grafts were also completed without my authorization or even disclosing the cost. Once the visit was over Gail, the office manager, came to my reclined dentist chair and handed me the bill. She handed me a bill of ~$3,000 for 2 extractions and 2 bone grafts. I asked how this bill could be so high and Dr. McKay later informed me that he uses “very expensive” materials (whatever that means). I was extremely upset and disappointed and ended up seeking a second opinion. The other dentist informed be this should have costed no more than $1,200. I reached back out to Dr. McKay to inform him of this and he said he could give me a $600 discount because I was a loyal customer otherwise he could not compete and nothing he could do to lower the cost. I have friends, and colleagues that go to Dr. McKay for teeth treatments they have similar stories of overcharging. To add to this dilemma, my son was visiting from Florida and made an appointment to have his teeth cleaned and was told he had 4 cavities. Dr McKay filled 2 of them and later, my son then went back to Florida to see his own dentist. To his surprise, his dentist in Florida said that he did not have ANY cavities! The worst part is that his insurance was charged for and ended up paying for 2 root canals and 2 crowns which never even happened (I doubt they will be happy to learn about being billed the wrong treatment). I can tell you that initially, Dr. McKay is very charming, and when you’re not paying attention, he’s drilling and billing.
