Highly recommend Petes Service center in Burbank Illinois. Ted is very professional and honest and does all of his research prior to updating you on what wrong with your vehicle and though he could have lead me down a path of spending tons of money on a new transmission he was honest, the money I would have had to spend was alot more than the blue book value of the vehicle. He was generous enough to let me leave the vehicle at the shop without charging me so I could figure out what I was going to do. They care about their neighbors, he even provided the tools and assisted my husband with trying to remove the front license plates which was on with special screws and overly tight. I was introduced to Pete’s service center through my work vehicles being serviced there. They were able to repair an issue with one of the work vehicles that the dealership attempted several times to repair. The whole staff is very pleasant and polite. I have been using Petes for about 10 years now. They are honest and more than fair with their prices. I have 2 teenage boys with cars, so Petes is like a second home to us. Theyve done everything from oil changes to engine replacements for us. They even try to help out with the labor for us, when they are able. They are friendly and professional. I usually dont give reviews, but felt it necessary after seeing a post from Mr. Aranda. I happened to be at Petes when he was on the phone screaming and swearing at Shelly, the office manager. I could hear him clear as day, and NO ONE gets paid enough to deal with that. What kind of a man speaks to woman, any woman, like that. He should be ashamed of himself. I hope the owner asks him to take his business elsewhere.

Ive taken my work van a few times here for major repairs, tried to form a relationship with these guys but impossible with the lack of professionalism. I lost my patience with them after being lied to everytime, forgave them every single time because I know how it can be running a business but they said they would have it ready by a certain time and failed to deliver every single time. The last straw was them not repairing the issue that needed to be repaired. I never lose my patience, which is one reason I have so much business but these guys really pushed me and the owner literally told me to take my vehicle somewhere else, I dont like dealing with people that cant control their emotions in a place of business so I will take my vehicles elsewhere and I suggest everyone avoid this place.

A competent person would have said something along the lines of Im sorry were booked Monday, but let me see what else we have available.Needless to say, Im grateful she conducted herself in such a way with me before I actually took my car in. After such an awkward interaction and looking at the one star reviews, looks like I dodged a bullet with this shop.

Ive been going to Petes service center for all of my car maintenance/repairs both small and large since 2014. Ted and Shelly always make me feel welcome and go above and beyond when it comes to customer service. They are very accomodating when fitting you in, especially when an emergency happens. I no longer live in the area, but still drive the 30-60minutes depending on traffic, for all of my car needs because they take care of me and always offer fair pricing for services done. Its so hard finding a mechanic you can trust as a woman without feeling taken advantage of, and I will continue coming to Petes until I no longer need a car!

Very trustworthy people. I consider myself a backyard mechanic, (jack of all trades master of none). This is the only shop I will bring my truck or any other vehicle of mine to. I found it hard to trust mechanics in the past but Pete’s is the best shop I have ever been to even over the dealerships. They understand the meaning of customer service!

Just started bringing my car to this shop. 2010 Nissan Altima with over 180k miles. Recently had brake work, oil change done. Also had an issue with water retaining in the front passenger door. They were able to fix it. Priced reasonably and work was done in a timely matter. So far so good.

Had a water pump and timing belt with coponents installed. Did a great job. AND they are all so nice. Will be doing a lot of referrals.

Such a Wonderful Surprise! I am no where close to home & receive a message on my dashboard saying that the car is getting hot. Not knowing much about automobiles, I googled the closest Car Service & Pete’s Service Center popped up. I pulled in, told them that my car was beeping & saying that it is hot on the dashboard. Recently took my Lexus RX over to Petes upon a recommendation from a very close friend of mine. My front brakes were making some kind of crazy scratching sound turns out rotors were damaged the car has been sitting for 6 months on attendant they were warped apparently I spoke with Tim one of the mechanics there he assured me that was the issue and they took care of it within 24 hours. I strongly recommend anyone that needs vehicle maintenance or large repairs done to go to Petes the price they quoted me was more than fair in fact it came out to be less when they were done they have a customer for life In Me a true five-star rating.

Great! Honest and outstanding automotive repairs

Used to go to them for years to get oil changes and always thought they were pretty honest and fair with prices.Last couple of years we have had to take cars back for leaking oil after oil changes. We were told they forgot to put cap on right. We have also have had to take our cars back on more than one occasion so they can reset the oil meter after oil changes. We were told sometimes they forget.Started to get the sense from the lady at the front desk that she was more interested in business than quality service but gave them benefit of the doubt since we had been going for years.Recently took a car in for a full inspection so we can get our son on the road with a semi dependable car. We were given a quote for rear shocks, timing belt, and alternator and said everything else looked good. We decided to get our own parts (bad idea?) and decided to just have them do the labor and we got an oil change as well. Two weeks later we take it back for leaking oil thinking they forgot to put the cap on right again and instead we were quoted another $300. This time time we were told they must have forgot to check the bottom of the car during the full inspection and they missed a rusted oil pan that was leakingduring the inspection. They said they arent perfect and the lady at the front was just smiling the whole time when I picked up the car which was weird. The gentlemen was somewhat apologetic but we could no longer trust leaving my car there and expect quality work.My advice would be to cover all bases before getting the work done and maybe shop around for a couple of quotes before getting the work done at any mechanic so you dont go back every two weeks and keep dishing out your hard earned money.

The only thing I can say about this place is that one employee in particular is not an honest person. So why continue to take my Vehicle there. I started taking my vehicles to Pete when I moved to Burbank. Yes my vehicles were old because thats what I was able to afford. This year I was in the market for a more reliable vehicle which I was going to purchase with my taxes. I called Petes because I know they sell vehicles, what better than to buy a vehicle from a mechanic or so I thought. When I called them to see what they had employee Anthony answered the phone and informed me that he had an Envoy for sale because he was saving to buy a house. I trusted him and went to look at the vehicle. Since I trusted him and we had a business relationship with Petes I bought the vehicle for a pretty penny I might add, didnt have the vehicle for 3 weeks when on a trip to celebrate my sons bday in Wisconsin the transmission gave out I not only had to get the car towed from Wisconsin to Chicago, but when I called Anthony he refused to help at one point he hung up on my husband, he wouldnt take my cars and when he finally answered my tex he literally laughed on the Tex telling me that I had signed a contract stating as is and there was nothing I could do. If you have employees like that working with you what am I to think of the time that my husband took his Hyundai for one thing and a month later it was junked, and the time that I took my Mitsubishi and I was told that it had an internal oil leak in the engine but that if I got what I took it to get fix in order for it to pass the inspection that the car would still last about a year, broke down in the highway a month after because of the oil leak in the engine. Makes me wonder. Never will I take my Vehicle there again and will not recommend they got their one star because I have to pick a star.

They quickly diagnosed the problem and called me with an estimate. I told them I need to drive to work the next day and I truly believe they made it a priority to get it done quickly for me. There pricing was fair for the quality work and parts.Want to say thank you to Shannon at the front desk, Ted, and the one mechanic who talked to me when I picked the car up. Because of you all my car was fixed very quickly and my day turned into a good day.

WOW!!!... where to begin..... I am dissapointed in my last and FINAL experience with Ted and his whole crew at petes service center. I have been coming here for services on my car and also my familys cars since 2004. This place was nothing but the best and I felt comfotable leaving my car there for any kind of service that was needed. I take care of my car and keep up with preventative maintenance always. I drive a lot, so i constantly need an oil change at least 3 times a month and this was the place I brought my car to. My last oil change was on 2/13/2017. I smelled something burning from the exhaust and decided to open up the hood, just to find out they didnt properly secure the oil cap andoil was splashed all over the engine bay. Anthony was very rude and acting tough even though he was at fault. Anthony said he did the oil change himself. Ted agreed to steam clean my engine at his place of choosing, not at the dealer where I wanted because this is a brand new 2016 car and I didnt want anything to void my warranty. Instead of apologizing to me or giving me credit on my next service or something to show courtesy and sympathy, Ted hands me the address and phone number to the detail shop he deals with and tells me these exact words: Hey, do me a favor, after this steam cleaning dont bring me your car. Great just great. Is that how you treat a customer? What a shame after all these years. Never again. Beware people.
