Visited for the first time with 3 and 1.5 years old boys. It was really kids-friendly environment, in 2hours our boys tried to swim on their own, they were not afraid of water anymore which is really good for a swimming starter. Didnt really smell chlorine actually, and the best is that it wasn’t so crowded with many people.
The indoor basketball courts are okay, they are a bit bouncy and slippery. Courts are only open Tuesday through Friday and from 12-5.very small time frame and as soon as it turns 5 they raise all the hoops immediately and practically kick you out
Huge park, tons of variety, free of charge unless you want to rent rooms inside or fields. Speaking of fields, theyve got a lot. Several baseball diamonds of little league size and batting cages, two basketball courts, and at least five volleyball courts make up their diverse array of sporting sections.Moving on, no less than three - you heard that right, three - independent and age-segmented playgrounds scattered evenly across the grounds. With another full-sized indoor basketball court, a huge resort-style indoor pool, and an indoor Olympic swimming pool, this place has it all 😜To finish it off, a huge walking/biking trail with varied scenery makes its way around the entire perimeter, giving you ample cook-off time after the games!
This is my first time here being that my children and grandchildren, wanted to go swimming! All seems good so far however, the customer service is not good. The female at the first desk seemed to be a bit annoyed. Her attitude was not pleasant nor would I say friendly. I would have thought coming into a center for children and family that there would have been better energy. It was my grand sons birthday and she ruined the experience Thanks
One star rating because the staff at this location are pretty rude and inconsiderate to be honest. To make a long story short. Due to covid you have to pay in advance (no problem) I booked the night before and it started thundering and lightening pretty badly on the day of. I called to see if we could be credited for a different day so I wouldn’t have to be out and on the roads in the bad weather and my youngest is pretty afraid of thunder and lightening (I never even asked for a refund). I was pretty much brushed off and told that because they are indoors that it is pretty much my choice to not come so a credit cannot be given. I called Collins Hill location because we have had several positive experiences there with that staff and they agreed with me as well that a credit or refund should’ve been given and that they do not operate that way at that location. So apparently all of the locations are managed separately. It’s honestly not even about the money, it’s just about treating people like they are people and giving a little consideration. The tone of voice and non chalant attitude of take it or leave it was truly off putting.
The baseball field was definitely what we needed for our physical fitness training. We times it perfectly as well. Once we stopped and were all off the field, the sprinklers came on.
Would have been nice to go swimming, but apparently you have to make a reservation a day in advance? Well, thats ridiculous. Also, they dont make finding how to register for the pools very easy...even for a young person who knows perfectly well how to use technology! Now, I am just frustrated!
Great Athletic complex....fills the needs of the surrounding area.
I love Bogan park, this place is clean. My son had so much fun.
Multiple sand vball courts with T/TH pickup after work hours. Super fun!
I lived very close by to this park growing up and spent many years playing in it with my neighborhood friends. Bogan Park gave me and my friends some great memories. I wanted to thank the park staff for keeping Bogan beautiful and for always being friendly to the 3 kids who came to the park every day from 2010-2014. We had a lot of fun here.
Great park, but there are anthills everywhere!! I wasn’t comfortable letting my toddler play/run in the grassy areas because of the large volume of anthills.
I live about 90 mins away and had a very unpleasant visit today. I have been going there for years and was told that only 2 out of 5 reservations was accepted when I was confirmed for 5. Not to mention I had 2 toddlers questioning why we had to leave. Was offered to wait but I live to far to be waiting with 2 toddlers when there what to go in and all I could do was say sorry cant swim after they was promised all day and waiting very patiently for 3 hrs to swim. Very unpleasant experience & poor reservation confirmation. I dont think Ill be making a anymore trips to this indoor water park.
Warm and chlorine smelling, just like a public pool should. COVID-19 precautions taken.
Paved areas to walk, nice short trail, softball fields, swimming pool. Well maintained.
My family and I went to their pool today, unfortunately my son accidentally swallowed a little bit of water from the pool. Inside the pool he started coughing so when we began to leave the pool he began to throw up, I started screaming for help and no one helped even though there were three lifeguards present. Nobody asked if I needed anything or if my son was okay. Honestly, I didn’t receive any help, all they did was take everyone out of the pool and run away from me when I was screaming for help.
Great walking trail, kid & dog friendly. Not to mention...a pool!
I enjoy the trails while my kids love the parks. They also have an indoor pool thats nice.
InSide pool for swimming laps is excellent can reserve for one hour friendly and helpful staff
I have not been to the pool, but Love the BB courts, inside and out...Love the baseball program. Great walking paths and playgrounds!!!
I have grown up with this park in my back yard and it is still maintained the way it was like the day it opened. It has different walking trail options from concrete to a woods section. Multiple pavilions with outside playgrounds that include lights. If you walk the main concrete trail towards the end of the park then keep your eyes peeled for muscadines! They blossom August until September.
Very well maintained and run. Beautiful landscape, very 😎.
I like this park. It has tons of amenities like multiple playgrounds, sports fields, basketball courts, & even sand volleyball. My favorite (and the reason I go) are the walking trails. I do wish there were maps of the different segments, but I have my routine and love counting the turtles & ducks in the pond as I go by.
Went there for early voting. Fast and easy process. Everyone was super friendly, too.
Great walking trails! Trails 1 and 2 are paved and are 12 feet wide. The main trail (Trail 1) circumnavigates Bogan Park and is 1.3 miles long. Trail 2 is about one-half mile and goes through the center of the park. Trail 3 is a short unpaved trail about a quarter mile long and runs through the woods on the south side (rear) of the park. Collectively, these are the best trails in Gwinnett County for exercise. Mild inclines for easy walking or running.
Ann, who I spoke to on the phone is extremely rude and unprofessional.
It is a really nice park.
My sons and I visited Bogan Park Aquatic Center June 27th 2017. The staff were polite and kind, cleanliness was decent and the people I came in contact with patronizing the Bogan facility were friendly. The only problems I encountered were the vendor machines wasnt working properly (for all patrons bring coins only! Bills do not work in the machines, unless the machines have been repaired almost a year ago!) My second problem was chlorine or the disinfectant compound used in the pool-the smell was quite intense-too intense, (you need a gas mask this is my sarcasm) because the chlorine was so, so strong to be enclosed. But in all honesty my sons enjoyed themselves, they werent bothered with the heavy, intense chlorine smell, what matters is that my sons had a good time! My rating was based on the strong and intense chlorine smell in the pool, but everything else were to my standard on the day we visited.
Great park has walking trails. Has indoor pool, fields for softball, picnic tables.
My daughter and I loved it!
The main building and aquatic center is closed. A bathroom is located by Pavilion #1. This park is large with a volley ball court as well as other ball fields. Plenty of room to social distance and enjoy yourself.
Very, very poor management of addressing the Pandemic right as the season was slated for its first game.My child did not use over $150 in lights, lawn maintenance, & what using the parking lot.I paid over $200 including pictures & gear for a VOLUNTEER COACH(ES) to provide lessons via 10-15 practices.Needless to say, I shant return. Ever. You really, really ripped me off.
The only thing its missing is a tennis court
Went to the indoor aquatic center with my daughter we had so much fun!
Went there for early voting. Easy, fast, and friendly service. Very clean and sanitary.
It is a nice park with a play ground and several baseball and softball fields that are pretty well kept up. There are restrooms and concessions when there are games.
Clean, lots of parking, great park.
Nice park. Early voting there, in and out efficiently
Very clean, family-friendly Park
Honestly the greatest partI ben to great Park for children and a big path for adults children and kids to walk and ride bike scooter and skate bored
Bogan Park is obviously well cared for and parks department spends a lot of time here. It would be nice to see the same attention given to the other parks in the Gwinnett system.
Would you like two more me some where so we can toke that the only way I see any thire lng out of this if that are amything
Better make reservations
We love this psrk
The lines for early voting are not bad at all.
Great place for a quiet picnic. Outdoor party or productive stroll
My son will be 2 at the end of August and he absolutely loves going to this park and so does my husband and I. I tend to get really nervous and anxious around people I dont know but so far everyone Ive came across had been super friendly. So far no complaints.
The lifeguards or a little immature. Spoiled a good time with the grandkids.
Very clean, nice amenities for the kids, friendly staff. My only complaint is that the water has WAYYYY to much bleach! My eyes burned the entire time. I understand that public pools need more sanitation but I have never experienced this burn before. I wasn’t even in the water. I had to step out to the patio while my kids played on the slides.
Horrible for early voting! In line for 3 hours and still not voted. They are only using 1/2 the voting machines.
I do water exercise it was great, water was very comfortable
So nice, clean and friendly people I enjoyed my time with my family 😍
Great Place for Baseball!!
Great park to go for a run or just walk and enjoy nature
I love this park as a walking trail it has 3 different trails to walk on. There are plenty of trees for shade so that it doesnt get to hot. They also have a huge baseball field for games and my son goes there to play basketball when they have open gym. They also have indoor and outdoor pools, my kids used to go when they were younger. Its a great park for picnics too, they have 2 or 3 different playgrounds for kids. If you live near the area stop by its not as big as the newer parks like EE Robinson Park by Peachtree Ind Blvd but it has its own charm.
Always love or here
Another great Gwinnett park! The best part is that this park has beach volleyball courts and the aquatic center! Two playgrounds and an easy, paved trail.
Nice park. Lots of amenities. Indoor pool area is nice. Only dings I have is smell is strong in the indoor pool area and the pricing is high for out of county. This is much closer, but I usually make the drive to Frances Meadows.
The voting was well put together.
Great place for early voting!
We had a lot of fun... it wasnt too packed. We would definitely come back.
I would like to know if the pool is inside ? And opened year round ? And I would like to know the price. Im not to far from here and I am looking for a good place to get some exercise. The pic looks amazing. If anyone could help get some info on this nice facility, I sure would appreciate it.Thank you so much. It sounds very nice.
Highly recommend for swim lessons. Weve had several swim lessons by Greyson (aka Super G). My girls really enjoy it and adore Super G. The chlorine can be a little strong (more so in the waterpark side) but Id prefer that over bacteria filled water. All the life guards and staff are really nice. We rented it out for a birthday party with no problems.
Great parking
Great walking trails
Great Facility.... loved both the pools and the amount of natural light. Great open Basketball Courts. Staff was very helpful, welcoming, friendly
Beautiful park! Clean!
Beautiful clean nice paved paths and rustic trail.
Nice, good place for family
Its a really nice and clean water park and the restrooms/locker room was clean also but the only bad thing was the chlorine it was very very strong today cause It made everyone in our group start coughing, head aches and my daughter got sick. When we went to the other side where the lap pool is we were fine. First time going there.
Great place has against for all children. Indoor swimming pool year-round. Volleyball courts basketball courts football fields and baseball fields also a large track to walk the dog 1.2 miles around.
Great park for working out, running, walking, enjoying nature, sports, and pets.
Another great Gwinnett County park that includes Walking Trails (paved and nonpaved), baseball/softball fields, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, sand volleyball, swimming pools and community center.
Very nice
I luv it 😃
This a great park to do indoor and outdoor activities.
Trails are great...playgrounds still closed😢
Great place to go
The pool itself was great as was the pool staff. I would not recommend booking an event. We paid for a combo party that included the use of a party room and then admission into the pool. The person on the phone when booking told us that we had the use of the party room for an hour and that it wouldnt be a problem to arrive about 30 minutes beforehand to put out our decorations and the cake. My mistake was not getting it in writing. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk who was not the person I spoke to on the phone said we couldnt have the room until 3. She told us that someone was in the room which I knew wasnt true based on my phone conversation. I walked down the hall towards the bathroom where she quickly followed, passed me, and locked the door to the empty room which she patrolled until just before 3 when she let us in. In short, we paid $300 for a room that we had to decorate, have a party, and clean before 4 or she let me know that we would lose our deposit. This meant my party didnt start until 3:15ish and that my 5 year old had to stop opening presents at 3:45 so I could ask all my guests to stand outside while I vacuumed and cleaned the room to her detail which was very specific in even how I needed to vacuum and wipe the tables. It was ridiculous, made me incredibly sad for the party I was so excited about giving my daughter, and not worth the $300 I paid. Go to the pool. Its cute, fun, and inexpensive but dont waste your money on booking an event there.
Voting was easy..
Nice walking/running trailing
My dad works here and bogan park is a really fun place to work at. You meet many friends when youre at the events. Really awesome!
I live nearb and have been to Bogan Park more times than I can count and I think its one of the best parks around.
Nice place, to enjoy with the family
We came here for a birthday party which after seeing how they handle their birthday parties I would NOT recommend having one here unfortunately. Very unorganized and unprofessional. Kids had fun in the water (especially the mini lazy river) so we would come back for that someday.
This park is ridiculous. Front counter lady is a joke, untrained and rude. They treat it more like a correctional facility than a public park. What happened to being able to have a nice family gathering instead of being treated like some sort of criminal. I will not be returning and I am definitely not recommending this park to anyone.
Excellent community center. Gwinnett County has some of the best parks in the nation and this Center is definitely one of the reasons why.
Clean. Friendly staff. Decent amenities.
Great community facilities
Terrible experience! The young staff are rude, inattentive to children, and act as if they are Taxes Police rangers and not a life guards tasked with ensuring safety and wellbeing of the patrons.
Its a nice place to go when its not summer and you wish you could go swimming 😉 Not easily bored here!
I live nearb and have been to Bogan Park more times than i can count and i think its one of the best parks around. Always nice and clean and a great family enviornment
Great time! Nice warm swim for a November day!
Good park very clean
