Whereas the repair was accomplished in a timely manner, I was shocked by a labor (not part) charge of $484 for about 1 hr of work.

I have been updating all my appliances with Sears for the last 15 years. I always stay up to date with the extended warranty. They back it up 100%. Service calls and customer satisfaction is their priority. No long waits for repair. Constant contact is evident through email. I love it!

It only took 9 days to get an appointment. The appliance technician sat in his truck in my driveway for about 10 minutes before acknowledging my presence, which was awkward. I had to move my refrigerator into the garage and use my old garage refrigerator in the house, due to the length of the appointment time. The guy said it was too cold outside to diagnose the refrigerator in my garage... and I could try again in the summer. haha this place is a joke. It was over 50 degrees out and I couldve had the heat on for her if he wouldve asked.

We have had our washer and dryer warrantied from the beginning (the units are 12 years and counting) and service is usually excellent. It must be said however, that we have easily paid twice the original purchase cost of the machines buying the warranties. Truly, it has been needed as many repairs have been required through the years.

Very polite, professional technicians. Two technicians arrived separately, but were here at the same time. One handled laundry and dishwasher; the other oven and cooktop. They ordered necessary parts which were delivered to my door free of charge. They also hooked me up with an extended warranty on my fridge. All my appliances are now protected for 3 years and will be checked free each year.

Charlie came on time with a good phone announcement of arrival time (30 minutes). His performance was excellent in that he found and corrected the problem. Just as important were the findings and recommendations he made for needed work which has now been scheduled. He was polite, cleaned up are the mess and described what he was going to do.Regards,Joe Cox

The wide span of time requires taking a whole day off work. Run dont walk away from their whole home warranty. It is completely worthless.

Pretty awful. I received multiple calls, one for each appliance I purchased last year, trying to get me to sign up for home service. For the only appliance, a wall oven, for which I had purchased such service when I bought the oven, it took 3 phone calls to set up a service call. There seemed to be a problem with the system each of the first two times I called, even though the calls were days apart. When I finally did get the maintenance service appointment, I received 3 calls verifying the date and timing. Very annoying. The service technician was courteous and professional, the only good part of this process. However, all that was done was to turn on the oven, insert a thermometer and check the accuracy of the temperature setting. He did also examine the seals on the door. This was a whole lot of aggravation for very little return. I will never pay for a service agreement from Sears again.

Repair guy did not like his job and seemed more interested in selling warranty service than looking at dishwasher... After perfunctory analysis gave us a $1000 dollar estimate for repairs... Never again... Needless to say we have a new dishwasher that is in no way connected to Sears

My fridge has been returned to working condition. This was the best warrantee decision I ever made. Sears even covered loss of frozen foods. Service was done well. Good folks!!!

Our Samsung refrigerator broke (freezer was fine) and we needed it repaired. Our usual go-to appliance store does not service Samsung so I called Sears. I was pleased with their prompt service, especially since it was all arranged online - calling support centers is never fun. Anyway, a repair man came and fixed our refrigerator after ensuring us it was worth fixing. It worked well for about a week, then started to act up again with the same symptoms as before. About another week passes and the refrigerator quits all together. Now, according to Sears, parts and labor are guaranteed - assuming the same problem is causing the failure. This is acceptable. However, what isnt OK is that I have to pay another diagnostic fee for a repair man to guess as to whats wrong with my appliance. Clearly it wasnt fixed properly the first time so its likely that the original parts werent the problem to begin with. So now, because it wasnt repaired correctly I have to pay another diagnostic fee - which, in this case appears to amount to a guess, and entirely redundant. I cant afford to continually pay someone to guess. If Sears wants to guarantee their work, the ought to waive the diagnostic fee unconditionally, especially when its clear it wasnt fixed properly to begin with.

Made an appointment and was told the I would receive a call an 1/2 hour before the technicians arrival time. I received a recorded message at 11:34am telling me the technicians arrival time would be between 10:45am and 12:45pm. They call me AFTER the arrival time even started. I arrived home at 11:49 (15 min. after getting the call) and called Sears to make sure I didnt miss the technician. I was told I had already missed him. I suggest if anyone makes an appointment with Sears that they plan on spending the entire day home waiting for them. Complete waste of time.

I was happy with the service rendered. The person did a great job. My only complaint is that I had a scheduled appointment for service in the morning 8 am-12pm and no came till after 12:30 pm. It was a huge inconvenience for me. I had to rearrange my plans and appointments to accommodate for Sears tardiness.

This was a terrible experience. The pre-appointment email stated Diagnostic Fee: $55.00; The diagnostic fee is the cost to have a tech come to your home and provide a repair estimate. If you decide to proceed with the repair, then the diagnostic fee will go toward the final cost of repairs. But if you decline the repair, you’ll still be responsible for the diagnostic fee. This clearly indicates that while there is a $55 minimum if you have them do the repair, there is no extra diagnostic fee. what else would the diagnostic fee will go toward the final cost of repairs mean?Anyway, I was charged the $55 on top of the repair which literally took less than 10 minutes and was charged $213. Trying to get my $55 refunded has been a nightmare of literally hours and hours of being on hold, being shuffled from person to person, promised refunds and then the failure of the refund to appear.I still have not been refunded any money and its been two weeks. I have given this one star because it wouldnt let me give it zero.

First... the technician that came to our house was fantastic. He knew right away what the problem was, stated that he has seen this issue many times before and quickly resolved the issue. The reason I didnt give 5 stars is that neither the Samsung representative or Sears support people I spoke with knew anything about this issue. It took some digging on my part to even justify getting a tech out to my house.

Technician arrived promptly when we expected him. He was very professional, courteous, and walked us through everthing he did, while explaining the problem. We decided not to have the repair; but buy a new tv when we were able. Very satisfied with service from the first call we made until the gentleman left our home. Thank you for the excellent service. So called to see if they stocked parts locally as I needed a part for my dryer and the girl that answered was dumber than dirt. I asked if they had parts local or did they have to be ordered and she said ordered. I said ok thank you and she asked is I wanted to order one. I told her I have one on order elsewhere but saw that they had a local address and were open till 10pm and figured I would call and see if they had it so I could just come and get it and not wait for the other place to get it delivered tomorrow. She seems a bit confused and seemed to be going through a script of sorts. Sad that should couldnt go off script. Oh well. One sale lost.

The job was not completed as my cloths dryer was still non functional. I had to hire someone else to finish it and paid out of pocket. The individual was a layman not a professioal and i think Sears should have finished the job. we have been loyal sears customer for 35 years and now you treat me like this? Maybe thats was sears is struggling,

January 2016: Highly disappointed with customer service. My furnace is barely 4 years old and this is the second service call for the same problem. The furnace did not reach the set temperature and then stopped working. House temp went to 39° & the best they could do is send someone a week later. The tech was ready to leave after it started up. I told him of the previous repair and he did some investigating and cleaned out a tube. Shortly after he left, the furnace started and stopped several times without hitting temperature. I called customer service ASAP & was told I could have an appointment 3 days later; supervisor was sorry but the tech had 7 more appointments. Tech did return and all is well...for now.
