I not only visit, I work there. As a co-worker once shared ITs an honor & a privliged to work here by Christina Wills.
Neighborhood soupkitchen .The staff treats everyone with respect
Gave me a meal as well as a refreshing bible study, and coffee. Was a refreshing time. I do hope all is well in the faith with the staff/volunteers, and those in need during Corona. (That is if you believe of course).
When you are hurting financially, you can get an actual good meal here - free. They also have a food pantry.
My coworkers and I volunteer to serve lunch there every year around Thanksgiving time. The food is nutritious, delicious, and the staff is incredibly nice. If you are in need of a meal, please go there. They care.
I volunteer here on Saturdays and if I could Id dedicate more time to this place. The staff here is very friendly and the atmosphere here is very rewarding. Nothing better than to help those that want and need help. 👍😉😄 w
I had the pleasure to volunteer here and I loved it. It is a church-affiliated soup kitchen that cooks meals for around 250-300 people per day. They are very clean, organized, and provide many services to the surrounding community, such as showers for the homeless.
Very nice people they do wonders with yall hungry and homeless and stuff like that you know the food is there is always top notch I cant say anything but good things about the people that are in there go run the place and everything else willing to help anybody if they can
Awesome soup kitchen!!! Staff are very kind and welcoming.
They serve a good lunch, just wish they offered showers more often. Still I think they are doing their best.
I go there every morning for breakfast and lunch and theyre food is good and downstairs of that place has a food pantry to get free food every month.
I donate to the Merton House. The pantry coordinator is great. They love what they do, helping families in need.
Needs to be cleaned up a bit, always people outside everywhere and some selling drugs. Just needs to have better security.
They provide a fantastic service to the community! They were so wonderful I am excited to be dropping off food rescues there
This a safe place for the economically disadvantaged offering food and shelter during the day . Please visit .
Its a great place if your going there to eat, get groceries nd leave as soon as done. Not A place to hang out nd sell illegal drugs.
If you live in the 06606 zip code area and arent earning a substantial income then you should seek out thomas merton food pantry. Depending on family size you are availed healthy food products that will hold you over for several weeks. It is truly a gem of a service. No large lines.
The staff are great the food is wonderful its a good place to be.
Good people Christian Based. Clients they serve tough group.
If you honestly need to eat, its here. And it helps. But is loaded with the usuals that arent in need of its services, and congregate here in search of drugs. Or to socialize. Of course not everyone. But, one bad apple spoils the bunch.
Everyone there sits around sells or is already on drugs while there. Not a safe haven by any means!
