This was my first time there. I love it. I walked into the shop not knowing what to expect but Sandy Aycock welcomed me with open arms. She is such a sweet loving woman. She was patient with me and gave me a peace of mind. Then what also blew me away was Megan who was my stylist she has done an amazing job. The made me feel welcomed and happy when I left. This business is amazing. You walk in feeling old, unattractive and fading fast, but you leave the store and salon enlivened and energized by the new YOU. Sandy is supportive, kind, and helpful in every decision making process. She is the advocate through all experiences with Custom Hair. Laura is a stylist magician with hair, hair color, hair styles and cuts. She truly creates miracles. It is a long drive for us, but one that we never dread, as we leave feeling like new women, very beautiful and confident. As long as I can drive, Ill continue to be a customer. And after that...well, I will have to figure out how to get Laura to come to my door instead!

I stopped in a few months ago, almost about 6 months ago. I had a unpleasant experience somewhere else and I was hesitant. I’m so happy I took the step and walked in. Megan was amazing! She didn’t overwhelm me, she focused on what I needed and she took the time to show me her products in the midst of running the store. You know that someone is truly good when you still remember them 6 months later.

I wrote a positive review about Custom Hair a few months ago after visiting their store and I wanted to add to my review now that I have purchased my first Premium Remy Human Hair wig from Custom Hair in Brandon. I am so happy that I did it and that I found Custom Hair! I visited several shops and even looked online before visiting Custom Hair. At Custom Hair, the experience was completely different than what I had been experiencing at other shops. Sandy was very patient and helpful as I tried on different styles of wigs. She was never once pushy or made me feel pressured to make a purchase. I returned to Custom Hair and ended up purchasing my first human hair wig. At Custom Hair they can customize the wig once they receive it from the manufacturer to give the most natural look. Meagan, the hair stylist, deep rooted the wig and gave the wig a cut to fit my face shape. The wig is the closest I could find to my natural hair (before experiencing hair issues due to a medical condition). I was wearing my wig to the doctor’s office this week and a nurse pulled my hair back so she could put a thermometer in my ear. She commented on how thick my hair was. I was so thrilled, because even being up that close and touching my hair she could not tell I was wearing a wig! I did have some issues with my wig after I purchased it, but Sandy and Lori (The owner) were extremely communicative and tried to correct the issues with a special treatment, etc. When the issues did not resolve completely, Lori was kind enough to replace my wig with a brand new one, without knowing if the manufacturer will credit her for the first wig! Sandy and Lori are always there for me giving me tips on hair products and how to treat the hair to keep it lasting it’s longest. If I had ordered my wig online or from another shop I’m not sure I’d get such a personalized experience. Since my first visit, I have been to the shop several times and each time I find women laughing, smiling, and have even heard them exclaiming with joy at how beautiful their hairpiece turned out. If you are considering purchasing a wig or other type of hair solution, I highly recommend visiting Custom Hair in Brandon. They’ve gained a life-long customer out of me!

Great quality wigs with awesome service. After a hair stylist fried my hair with bleach highlights most of it fell out. I found the perfect wig here that really boosts my confidence. Everyone asks me where i got my hair done!

My life has changed completely! I used to be so self conscious about my hair thinning, I tried 3 hair transplants nothing worked. My friend went to Tampa Custom hair and she looked beautiful, I couldnt wait to get there. I ended up going to Brandon and met Sandy who was so helpful and made me feel so comfortable about my situation, I ordered a hair piece, and Christine the beautician ( who is the sweetest thing) gave me a hair style with my new piece and BAM! I was a new person. I cant say enough about Custom Hair, Sandy, and Christine, except thank God I found them.

I cant say enough about Custom Hair. It literally changed my life!! My hair started thinning when I was in my 20s and got worse as the years went on. I was devastated and self-conscious about it and felt very unattractive. I started going to Custom Hair back in 2005, It was the best thing that ever happened to me!! A special thank you to Sandy and Christine. These two ladies are remarkable at what they do. Sandy is very helpful and is right on top of things. She is very professional as well as very personable. These people are great ! My wife lost her hair due to chemo treatments and she was helped by Sandy at this location. My wife was understandably upset about losing her hair - she has alweays been very attentive in her grooming. Snady made her feel very comfortable with the entire process.She spent a lot of time with my wife, helping her pick the right color, the right look and style. When my wife got to work with her new hair, everyone complimented her on the fit, the style - and the look that was totally natural. So wed recommend them to anyone, without any hesitation !

I started loosing my hair in my teens, it was devistating to go through my high school years with thin hair. I knew someone that had done hair replacement so I decided to try it. It has been the best thing Ive ever done. I no longer have to plan my activities around my hair concerns. Sandy and Christine at Custom Hair have changed my life. I am SO glad I found Custom Hair in Brandon! After 4 years of watching my hair disappear and trying every over the counter remedy, I received a medical diagnosis that I have a rare form of alopecia that causes permanent scarring hair loss. While devastating, it was a relief to know I had no control over it and there was nothing I could do to fix it. Rather than try steroids and medications that have rarely achieved new hair growth and only cause side effects, I went in search of a place where I could explore human hair pieces. I met Sandy who truly understood my alopecia and made me feel completely comfortable. She made a mold of my scalp and showed me hair samples that would match my curl and color. 10 weeks later, voilà! I had hair again! I will be honest and say that going from having balding, thinning hair to having a LOT of hair was hard for the first few days - I just wasnt used to it. But Sandy and Megan were so helpful and patient with me. Now I am completely used to my hair piece and am more comfortable styling it etc. I receive a LOT of compliments on my hair and the self consciousness I used to have with my thinning hair is now gone! Great Selection, Quality Wigs, Wonderful Customer Service, Comfortable Atmosphere: I am a young female w/ extremely thin hair texture. Recently, my hair has become even thinner & started falling out over a very short period of time. My doctors are concerned but are still not sure of the cause or have a diagnosis. This has caused me an enormous amount of stress and anxiety having to deal with this, especailly at such a young age. I researched everything there is to know about wigs (and let me tell you are there is a lot to learn!), visited several wig shops and considering purchasing online. I have fair skin and blonde hair and am really looking for something similar to what my hair used to look like. I found that options for natural looking blonde hair was very limited and was becoming very upset. I ended up purchasing a darker color lace front synthetic wig. The color is OK but not what I was looking for. Very far from my natural hair. I have also found that this particular lace was very sharp and hurt the skin on my forhead. I purchased this just as a temporary solution and to see what wearing a wig would be like. I decided that I would give one more wig shop a chance to see if I could find something closer to what I wanted. I ended up at Custom Hair in Brandon yesterday. Sandy, the manager, is very knowledgeable and helped me try on a handful of wigs. The selection at Custom Hair is much better than other wig shops I have been to. They carry quaility wigs, such as virgin remy human hair wigs and wigs with comfortable high quailty caps such as lace front and monofilament tops, which create the ability to make a part anywhere on top of your head and give you the most natural look. She also told me that I could order the wigs in any color so I would be sure to get exactly what I wanted as far as color. I found a synethic wig I really liked, but thought it was a little pricey for me since it was only a synthetic wig (but the cap was very high quaility and I assume is the main reason for the price). I really wanted a Human hair wig but since my hair is naturally of thin texture most of the human hair wigs felt too dense to me. There was one wig that was less dense but was dark and had curls. A wig of such quaility is not something to play with. So before I could purchase a wig I have to be sure it was exactly what I want. Sandy offered to go straighten out the curls in the front so I could get a better idea of what it would look like on me. Since I am unsure the cause of my hair loss & thinning, if it will get worse, and the doctors are currently working on it with treatments I was not ready to commit to a wig just yet so I did not want her to go through the trouble (although she insisted it would not be any trouble). She also went out of her way to call the Tampa location and ask if they had that wig in their store. They did, it was in blonde and straight. She asked them to bring it to her store so when I go back I will have the chance to try it on and have a better feel of what it will look like on me. Once I get an idea of the future of my hair and if I do need a wig I will most likely be returning to this store to make the purchase. Sandy made me feel so comfortable and was never once pushy. I was surprised to see that the store was also busy for a rainy weekday! When I felt I had no options Custom Hair has given me hope that I will be able to have a natural look if I need a wig. I am so releaved to have this option and cant thank them enough! I highly recommend Custom Hair.
