Please clean those corridors, I have gone to the administration several times to ask them the same thing but they do not solve it, in truth that living in a dirty place is not pleasant. There are too many dead bugs in the hallway, thats been there for months and they dont do anything.
My girlfriend and I set up a tour to get a better idea of the floor plan and amenities offered and were very displeased with our experience. We arrived a few minutes early and our tour guy seemed busy but decided to take us on a “group tour” with another couple, totally understandable being a busy time of year however the tour guy was very unprofessional, he was not wearing a face mask and was very blunt about the amenities and floor plans available. Our guide mentioned he was actually a regional manager and does not work at this area which is extremely disheartening to hear, we expected much more professionalism from a regional manager .
I had to move out from this place because it is full of cockroaches, bats and bugs all over the place. This is because they never clean the place. If you walk around the place, you will see that the complex is very dirty. When it comes to the appliances, they are very old and they are not working well. The management/maintenance pretended to fix them, but they never do and I had the problem with the appliances for long time. For this reason, I had to leave the place. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. You will find better places around the area ( that has better management) for the same price or even lower.
I’ve been a tenant for almost 5 years here. This property was great, but when new management/ownership took over, I saw an immediate decline in quality care for this property. I do understand a pandemic has been going on, however, the increase of issues has been insurmountable. The property has become dirty, there is trash in the preserve area of the property. The previous maintenance contractors were amazing. The ones now, do the bare minimum. There used to be power cleaning on occasion, now the breezeway (at least in my building) are urine-stained from dogs, blood stains are still present from a dead armadillo found over a month ago. Old trash from a tenant has yet to be removed from the valet trash company. (Been over a week) Only being able to use amenities like the gym during business hours, when most people work at that time, doesn’t make sense to me. To top it off, the increase of rent costs in a pandemic (standard is 6% increase, mine was over 10%) prompted me to end my tenure here.Addison was good while I’ve been here, but this management/ownership needs to step it up to retain faithful tenants. The office staff is nice and they do what they can, but much improvement needs to be made to get this property to where it needs to be.
I was asked for a recommendation of this place that I lived in for a while and I can only say that my experience was not pleasant. the place was very dirty. The corridors are not washed, it is true that there are many cockroaches inside the apartment and so they do not eliminate them because the garbage area is disgusting and that is where the problem arises. There is no space to park, the pool I never entered because it seemed dirty, I dont know if it was cleaned, the administration is not good. this is not a good choice
I’m not a resident here but my wife and I toured one of the apartments and it was the worst tour I have ever been on. The apartments themselves didn’t look too bad but the person giving the tour needs training. When we walked in he didn’t say a word to us, he just handed us a paper and opened the door. He then just started speed walking towards the apartment. When he got there he stood at the door with it open like we were an inconvenience to him. Definitely no going to apply here.
This is the worst place i have ever lived. the hallways are disgusting, the place is overrun with roaches and other insects. they never wash the place and the rent is expensive. I do not recommend it
Overall, the complex is not the worst. But it’s far from the best. The parking here is absolutely HORRENDOUS. They don’t have enough spaces for all of the residents, let alone the guests. And they will tow, even though there is literally nowhere else to park which will cost you another $185.I have lived here for 5 months now and have left NUMEROUS voicemails about the dog park (you have to leave a voicemail because getting someone actually on the phone in the office is like hitting the lottery) because the fence is broken and the gate doesn’t stay shut so it’s very dangerous to bring your dogs to because it’s not fenced in. The dog park was one of the main reasons we moved here and we can’t even use it. Along with all of the other amenities. You can’t use the gym, pool, or grills unless you work from home or don’t work a typical 9-5 job, which I do.We pay good money to live here and have no parking, no amenities, bugs in the apartments, and non-existent office staff. It’s because of these reasons we will not be renewing our lease when it’s time to move. I really wish this place was better kept because the apartments are a great size and the garages are too. But it’s not worth the money when you can’t use the extras that you pay for.
The pool has been closed since March (I think) – permits are expired. The gym has only been open when the office is open, which is generally less than 40 hours week, and not evenings because of the gate card system. Now, it’s apparently open 6 – 6, which is better but still doesn’t accommodate people who work traditional hours. Our apartment is in a community that is supposed to have these amenities, yet when they don’t, it doesn’t affect them – and they just keep thanking people for their patience – which is long gone at this point.Elevator wasn’t working Friday or all weekend and wasn’t working yesterday (Monday) around 4:00. I emailed the office and didn’t get a reply. It’s not working again/still, but now they say it was fixed yesterday.Raised our rent $56 for a 12-month term, even though our apartment is just another year older, with outdated cabinets, carpets, etc. I thoroughly checked around and had a spreadsheet to show that the new rent rate wasn’t competitive but they said it was (although they didn’t provide any evidence of that) and wouldn’t budge, even on the garage rent, which is $135. And they have regularly advertised hundreds of dollars off for new leases. Our experience has been that the general attitude (even with many different reps and managers) seems to be that they are doing residents a favor and “allowing” us to live here.
The pool has been closed since March, it recently opened hours that does not accommodate residents that work 8-9 hours a day, and it is not open on Sundays. Cannot access the gym during certain hours and cannot use the grills. We pay for these amenities that we cannot use.The gate have been broken forever, just open and leave them open if they cannot be fixed. 2 gates are stuck open, one open and closes the forth is broken and has been laying over there for a couple weeks. This just looks very tacky. We also do not have trash pick up, havent for a couple + months so why are we still paying for it??We like our townhome, but for what we pay, we really expect a little bit more.
I wouldn’t suggest applying to this apartment complex. Me and my roommate applied back in May in the midst of COVID, mentioned to Darcie that my roommate had a German shepherd that was in the process of becoming an emotional support animal and was told this breed was not allowed. I told Darcie to pull our application as it was only submitted a few hours prior. I now know that per fair housing my roommates dog should not have been turned away with her breed as she was being registered as an ESA. We have yet to receive a refund back for our $400 and it is now almost 6 months later. There is no reasoning to hold the application fees and the deposit as no screening was completed within the 3 hours before the request of cancellation. The management are thieves who violated a law and still has yet to refund me.Update: I’ve sent multiple emails in response to your comment about sending an email and I have heard no response. The responses you post asking to send an email are a way to avoid addressing the overall issue which WILL NOT help your horrible ratings on google. I expect to receive a reply back.
Beware of bugs. Ive lived here for the past year and unfortunately have had constant ant issues. Cockroaches appear almost every other day, and insects have infested my cabinets, microwave, and kitchen on separate occasions. No I dont leave food out and Im not messy. Most recently Ive discovered between my morning tooth brush and evening brush, ants have infested my bathroom now and I only realized after I brushed my teeth that it had some ants on it. Gross.Additionally almost all of our light fixtures are filled with cockroaches and silverfish. The light fixtures are all enclosed, theres no way I can possibly do anything differently to prevent that.Management has given their best shot at spraying constantly and replacing door stripping but I think my unit is just extremely prone to ants after the rennovation they did on my unit. Id strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a place to live, Ive never had a problem anywhere else but here..
Im moving to Tampa and was really considering this as home. But these reviews are not good at all. People pay good money and seeing that the bugs are bad and the staff is rude is not fair.
The management here is terrible, it seems they hire unprofessional people to work for them. My husband and I lived there for 1 year and could not wait to leave. There was never any parking, which all they said for that is buy a garage. As soon as we came up on our lease ending we hurried and turned in our notice to vacate which the office lost ! Then blamed us saying we did not turn it in. We even knew the employee we turned it into but guess what, she no longer works there. So we are screwed with these charges even though we checked with the office multiple times within that 2 months and each time they told us they had our letter. They waited until last minute to say “oh we don’t have it, so you are going to have to pay a penalty.” They take no responsibility for their actions.
The living experience at Addison is an actual life style knowing I am safe while enjoying a beautiful modern apartment and all of the amazing amenities that are offered. Everyone front Monica to the maintenance men are professionals and helpful. I have lived here for a year and plan on resigning my lease cause I couldnt imagine a better place to live than at Addison
Has anyone here lived in 2527, unit 314?
I Have been living at the Addison for a long time... Love the area, Love my apartment. Monica Stone is one of the best leasing agent ever. She cares and always smile and more importantly she knows all the residents by name.. I may never leave!!!
I have lived here for a full year now and I have come to LOVE the location, surrounding area and especially the staff. Monica has been invaluable to me from the smallest detail to making sure something really major was handled for me. I plan to live here for a long time!
Great experience. Been here for year and it’s been quiet and great. Elaine is great As well the property manager. Always have been there with great service! No complaints.
Enjoyed my stay there. The front staff and managers were always willing to go above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I suggest new tenants to be open upfront and keep a good communication with the front office and they’ll help you however they can.
The Addison is a great property. My move-in was good and the staff made sure I had everything I needed. Parking is a bit of an issue, but the office offers great rates on garages to ensure each resident has a parking spot. If you’re looking for a home close to everything (literally), The Addison is the place!
Been living here for a year and just finished signing a new lease. The office workers were very friendly and if theres ever been an issue with the apartment they have been quick to fix it. Looking forward to another year or more here.
Ive had issues since I moved in. I am a single mom and sacrifice to pay for a decent area and decent apartment. I have had issues since I moved in these apartments. These are so overpriced. You def. can get more for your money somewhere else without the headache of contacting the office over and over for same issues. Not happy here will start packing now until my lease is up.
This place has all the nice finishes and looks very nice but the management is horrible. The parking is a joke, people park everywhere including in the middle of the road because its so hard to find decent parking. The staff tells you they will follow up with something and you this is not always the case. The rent is very expensive and in my opinion its not worth it.*****update***The staff have really turned around and address my concerns after posting this review. They added a very nice property manager, Emily, in the front office. My concerns with some repairs in the apt have all been addressed and I have no more issues!Satisfied Renter!
My fiancé and I recently just left our older home being that our lease was ending. We decided on The Addison for its spacious apartments! It was a very short and speedy time line we had to be moved in by, Camila helped us completely threw our move! She is incredibly nice! Loved her!
I miss this complex Soo much I had plenty of space in my apartment Home a nice garage across from my apartment and ms.pattie was a sweet manager! It was close to everything and only thing there was no play ground outside for kids...nice indoor game room and awaweso planned gatherings for tenants .I would recommend this place because you can plan and grow with plenty of space to do so!! stores and shopping on every corner... and location is prime.. only thing too much concrete and not enough grass area to relax outside and safety play for kids.. and people would walk on property from the Kohls parking lot there was no fencing to keep out non residence of the complex.
The Addison is one of the best apartment commnities in the Brandon area. The customer service from every staff member is remarkable. Every resident is met with a smile and the grounds are beautiful. My husband and I have a smaller dog and the community is very dog friendly including a fenced in dog park which pet parents meet up to chat from time to time. The community is located in The Loop, which my husband and I have named the circular walking/running/biking trail that circles around in a 1.7 mile radius. Overall the community is an awesome community and you cant buy peace of mind and a friendly caring staff.
Manger is amazing! Office staff is wonderful to interact with. Thank you for all you do for us.
Clean property! Friendly Staff! Love the pool! Love the community get together the staff holds from time to time.
Horrible customer service. Brand new unit and air conditioning stops working every few weeks, maintenance will only make repairs when they consider it an “emergency.” Fire alarms go off randomly and the service desk won’t respond even if it were an emergency. If you want to overpay for an apartment that promises amenities that don’t work, Addison apartments is the place for you! If I could give zero or negative stars I would.
Nice Apartments
Addision Apartment Homes manipulated me to believe that my stay would be a breeze as it is close to my place of employment. Since the beginning of my lease, October 2018, I have had a plethora of issues that has not been resolved. For example, as I am typing this review, I am encountering (for the second time) an issue with my refrigerator and freezer. After spending hundreds of dollars on food (vegetarian, gluten and dairy-free eating habits) I (for the second time) have had to trash food. Prior to the beginning of this month, maintenance was called out to fix my refrigerator and freezer, regretfully this was not resolved.I have been diagnosed with multiple herniated discs, hence, my request to find an apartment home with a dish washer. At times, I am in so much pain, where I can not wash dishes inside the sink. Since the beginning of November (the second month of my lease), I have had issues with my dish washer. My dishes would sit inside my sink for days until I have the strength to wash them as Addison Apartment Homes have not fixed or replaced my dishwasher. Amongst other complaints, moving in to an apartment with several issues has caused me emotional distress and an attorney has been contacted. Please be aware of this location, ask questions, ask to see the apartment prior to signing your lease.
My Husband and I moved to Tampa from Denver, Colorado. We searched for days looking for a place to call home. After visiting dozens of other apartments we finally came across The Addison Apartments. We instantly knew this was a place for us. Upon our four day drive from Denver, we were welcomed by the wonderful staff and moved in without a hitch. The Addison is minutes away from the highway so it cuts commutes in half. One other perk is that any shopping need is right around the corner (seriously almost anything). I highly recommend The Addison for anyone looking for a place to call home.
11/07/18 Updated: I now live here 2.5 years and have no intentions of leaving. I truly enjoy living here. The staff is very accommodating and have every intention to fulfill my needs. Monica and Elaine, along with Kahri, make a wonderful team and are helpful as can be. The complex is currently going though many renovations, only making the place even better.I really enjoy living here! And EVERYONE who visits me loves it too. So close to everything! I have some rebuttals in response to the somewhat negative reviews. I notice so many of you do not know how to follow the Valet trash rules, which lead to the rodent/animal issues. The reason the trash may seem to sit for days, is because it is NOT picked up on Friday and Saturday. If you have garbage those days, WALK TO THE DUMPSTER!! It only shows how naive and lazy you are. The rules set up for the new indoor trash cans, are set for a reason. So we dont get unwanted critters. Duh. If you CARED about where you live, you would abide by the rules to keep the Addison a happy and desirable place as it is. As for the noise levels, we are off Main drags, and many drives like to have loud exhausts and show off! Par for the territory, you can not blame the apartment complex. If you would like to live here, please become my neighbor and enjoy your life! Id be happy to meet you.The staff and office are knowledgeable and friendly, The service requests for repair are done in a timely matter. What else do you want? Its a benefit of renting, you dont have to fix a thing! They fix it for you. I couldnt be happier.
Roaches Roaches EVERYWHERE!!!!Beware - Do not even think about living here. Roaches are in abundance and guess what, management will do nothing about it.
We love the Addison! the staff is friendly and they are very welcoming towards pets. Great place to live.
I love The Addison Apartments! It is a safe community and the staff is wonderful! THey are very helpful and caring about their residents, people and pets!
We have been living here for the past couple of months and the staff has been wonderful. Move ins are always such a hassle but the staff has been fantastic and so helpful. We had the strangest problem with the garage door, kept opening up on its own! Ashley was wonderful and went totally out of her way by walking to our unit every couple of hours to see if it had opened again mysteriously! That was solved instantly and we have had so few problems that I would recommend anyone to move here. The grounds are kept immaculate and the neighborhood despite its close proximity to the main stores, is very peaceful. We are in the center of it all but have peace and quiet. We cant ask for more!
One thing this place is notorious for is parking. It is uncontrollably bad, and they have zero effort on making it any better. I have been here since march, and it has progressed to the point of having your family members who are 7th months pregnant and single mother walk in the rain from a near by shopping center, or risk parking in illegal parking zones. There is no regulation on visitor parking soon, so even if you do actually live here, youre more likely will not find a parking spot. When you bring up the issue, the best they can do is offer to add a garage which is extremely overpriced. This place will not see a renewed lease from any tenants in this apartment. On top of that, the AC goes out at least twice a month. Other than that, the women in the front office are amazing, but management clearly could care less about its tenants.
Great location, good layout, but the construction is very poor, walls are thin as paper, you hear everything from the neighbors next door and the upstairs. The garages are extremely loud, do if your bedroom happens to be above a garage your in for some loud noise from the garage opener, its a shame because the apt itself is comfortable and has a great layout, but you hear everything from the neighbors next doir, its like having them in your apt, they dont even have to raise their voice, you hear every single word they say, never seen anything like this, they took alot of shortcuts in the construction. But if your not picky about your privacy, they youll be able to deal with it
Office staff is rude af
Very very very noisy apartment complex. There are about two different cars that peel out every morning along with my neighbors stereo that I hear all day every day. I guess why Im most upset about this is when we moved we were told that they use to be condominiums and they are sound proofed very well which we now see was a lie. The trash vallet is not very helpful either, many times I come home to find trash all over the stairs due to raccoons. The gates are never fixed, it will last for maybe a couple days before it is broken again. Also a lightening storm took out the gate access to the pool area for over two months. This apartment is extremely overpriced for what you get. Ive lived in apartments for many years but I would never resign a lease here!!! Which is such a shame since the customer service is great, along with the maintence works as well.
Our apt./home was ready when promised, clean and in excellent, shape. Moving n was a breeze with the elevators. After I turned n a list of minor things a leaky fawcett and drip, property maint. Who r great came the next day. When i expressed my compiments to Kahri Douglas the property manager, i was made to feel like any problems I world have would be immediately addessed on my home. SUPER staff !!! Also having washer and dryers n the apt. Is great and they work super.
Overprice partments and they never have the proper prices listed online. Online they have apartments priced significantly cheaper than what they actually are. They claim that the prices are higher due to renovations but the price is not worth what you actually get. The hallways to all the apartments are also very narrow so it would be very hard for residents to move all of their belongings in to the apartment.
Sorriest excuse of an apartment complex. Couldnt wait to get out, so many better options in the area for the same price. I dont recommend to anyone.
Where do I start..cockroaches (staff wont do anything, they said its Florida deal with it), dirty stairways and entryways (staff doesnt care, they are never cleaned or pressured washed), parking lot issues (staff doesnt care, there is nothing they can do, and getting a garage will not solve your issue, people here double park behind garage and block you, and park where they are not supposed to period), light poles not working at night (staff doesnt care, notified but never fixed), trash compactor overfilled/broken all the time (why is this even happening when there is mandatory fee for valet trash), the list goes on and on..otherwise staff is ok (when they decide to respond to your emails or you call them multiple times.)
Everything is great but the parking is HORRIBLE, coming home late night from work and having to park on the other side of the complex is not fun.
