In the past year Del-Air has had to come to my home upwards of 15 times due to the errors they’ve made when installing and repairing. Not only are their employees unprofessional when speaking to customers, the company as a whole never communicates with customers. There have been many times where I had to chase them down to follow up on parts coming in, service calls with the correct tools, etc. I have had multiple appointments waiting around for hours with Del-Air ultimately never showing or getting into contact with me. If you want to waste your time and money, go with this company.

We moved into our new built home April 23 this year It came with a new Trane AC installed by Del-Air. Right before our vacation we noticed that the AC was leaking and flooding the closet. A Del Air repair person came out. He said it was installed improperly. Then he had to change the line because it was backed up and was flooding. It seemed to be working. So we left for vacation to see our kids two days later We set the thermostat to 76 while gone for a little over two weeks. We arrived home at 10 pm last Friday and the house was 90 degreesI immediately called Del Air and asked them to come the next day which they did The new repair person said the previous repair person did not fix the problem correctly and also we had anew problem. The Coil has a leak that cannot be fixed it is defectiveHe said a new coil would need to be ordered. We are seniors and I’m recovering from mold poisoning from our prior house I need to have clean cool airWe can’t sleep in this heat.Our repair person had come very late in the Day amd the parts department was closed He was very nice and felt bad. He called his manager to seeIf they would get us either a new coil from a mew unit or I asked for a new unit - it’s only 3 months old- and defective.The manager promised to call me back either last night or this morning HE DID NOT- I called and left messages todayit’s 92 degrees in the house. We have fans going and I feel sick from the heat and the leaking freon. This is Florida hot and humid. We moved from California and we are not used to this heat and humidity. We were happy to have a brand new house with a brand new ACMy husband drove all over trying to find a portable air conditioner to buy but none were availableI have no idea when we will get a new coil - but I’d rather have a new unit ASAP This is miserable. 😩

This is the worst customer service company I believe I have every worked with. Improper installation in my new construction home caused leaking and mold in my home. 5 services calls to get them to repair properly. Ongoing maintenance issues, never made a time window on time, no show for appt after 7hr window ended with no call. Do yourself a favor and find a new company.

Dont trust these guys, they work off of commission of any work they generate while on site. Had them come out to my place only to sabotage my unit by taking the Relay switch, which was suppose to be a hard to find part. They took it to their shop parts person to be getting it replaced only to lose it. I ended up having to replace the entire unit, costing me a lot of money in the long run and they acted like they couldnt care less. Played phone tag for several months only to be told they wont do anything about it, but they are the ones that came out took the part off the unit and then lost the part. I will NEVER trust them to do any work for me ever again. And this all happened in July/August without A/C for over 2 months. My 85 year old mom had to go to my brothers until we were able to replace the unit. Worst experience with a company I have ever had and they charged me for the pleasure of doing me dirty.

Let me preface this review by acknowledging that I have been a customer of Del Air for 3 years since moving into my house. I have a warranty service contract. Prior to this most recent service, I have been extremely pleased. However, I cant seem to get anyone to call me regarding my concerns. My service was performed on Nov. 7. I responded to the almost immediate text I received. The following morning I called to voice some concern and was told a supervisor would call. The following Monday a lady called, but had no idea about my concern. Again I was told a supervisor would call. Today is Nov. 16 and I have still not been contacted. I am enclosing a photo of the filter that was left in my unit.In response to the reply to my review. I have never heard from Joe Zgola or anyone else.On Nov. 21, I called Michelle Riddles #. I left a voicemail and a gentleman by the name of Shawn returned my call. He blamed the lack of response on an incorrect phone #. Its interesting since they always call me when my service person in on their way. We had a nice conversation and again, he said he would refer my issues to a supervisor. He offered another service call and I accepted. I was told someone would call to schedule. That was more than 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing.

In a word, excellent. Jason came out to do a standard HVAC check up. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He found a minor part issue that would have led to a bigger repair later. Overall I am very pleased.

DO NOT USE DELAIR!!!! Untrustworthy company.Our AC went out so we called DelAir to come out as it is still under warranty with them. They stated they would come out the next day despite the house being 82 degrees and I am 8 months pregnant and we have a toddler at home as well. They informed us the parts would be under warranty but we still owed $80 for the visit. The man came out and diagnosed our compressor being broken. Stated the capacitor inside was broke which has made the compressor outside break. He informed us NEITHER of these items were under warranty and the compressor would cost us $1,000. He replaced the capacitor that night and charged us $190 for the part which he told us was also not under warranty and the visit. He stated he would come back the next day to replace the compressor.Something didnt seem right so we called another AC company to come out. The other company came out, informed us the capacitor, compressor and the broken expansion valve were all broke and all COVERED UNDER WARRANTY! He fixed it all that day and we never even heard back from DelAir. No one has called to follow up.I am extremely disappointed in the theft and lack of service DelAir provides. This is not a company people can trust and I would NEVER recommend anyone to use them again.

They were the installer on our new build so we kept the annual service plan. It’s easy to schedule, reasonably priced and staff is professional. My only complaint is their arrival time frame. It’s either AM or PM. If you choose morning it’s from about 7am to whenever they arrive. If you choose PM it’s noon until they arrive. No 4 hour window like others. We have been forgotten once so now if it gets too late I call to check to make sure somebody is still coming. They will start as late as 8pm. They do call 30-45 mins before arrival. Our area must always be scheduled last because it’s always late arrivals, around dinner time.

Terrible service. It’s taken over a week to have our air conditioning repaired because Del Air does not have quick access to parts. Our 1 1/2 year old unit was serviced under a contract a month prior to our issues ....and the technician did not discover 6 leaks which ultimately drained the Freon out of the system. . Makes one wonder how well trained the techs are. We are presently sitting in a 84degree home, the temperature will rise at daylight . Called Del Air begging for a “gas and go” to get us through the weekend . Service is not available. They expect us to swelter until they supposedly come to repair the unit on Monday. We’ve waited 12 days since the first call to Del Air to have the 1 1/2 year old unit that they originally installed repaired . This is not acceptable for two senior citizens with health issues.

The technician came out on a Thursday to complete our semi-annual maintenance and he put on the receipt that he performed all of the necessary work. Two days later, the air conditioner stopped working. When we called they could not come out till the next day even though they claimed they serviced their customers 24/7. We had to call Arctic Air for an emergency service and they came out right away. Their technician stated that the air conditioner pipe was not properly cleaned out and that there was water on the floor. He vacuumed out the pipe from outside and inside and the air conditioner worked immediately. The day we called Del Air to come out for an emergency service it was 90 degrees outside and we said we would not be able to sleep and they still would not come out. After the air conditioner was fixed we called the supervisor to complain about the maintenance and request a refund and he never called me back. In the end, we had to pay both air conditioning companies Del Air screwed up. I wish I could rate this company 0 stars.

Ive got the maintenance contract and last fall it took 3 appointments to get a tech to come for the service because they were so busy with the snowbirds coming back. This season went better but during the Virus times we are in, tech came in with no gloves, no mask, and no booties to cover his shoes. He added some extra piece of pipe outside by the condenser that I have no idea about at all. You can go online and see similar reviews.

I was incredibly impressed with the response time on a weekend. I called at 5 p.m. on a Sunday and had a tentative time for repair the following day. Within 15 minutes I received a call from the dispatch asking if one of their technicians could come over in the next 2 hours. A very prompt and professional technician showed up at 9 p.m. on Sunday night and corrected the problem within an hour. Fantastic service. You have a very loyal customer.

We had a problem with our Nexia thermostat not working. Several people tried to fix it by replacement, but none of the others worked either. When Peter and Joseph came they spend a lot of time trying to determine what was wrong with the Nexia thermostat, but were unable to do so. They eventually replaced it with a Honeywell thermostat which has worked like a dream. We were very frustrated over the months with not being able to find out what was wrong with our original thermostat. Peter and Joseph were excellent in solving out problem. They were very professional and really took the time to inform us of what they could do and getting the job done quickly. They are a credit to your business.

After 2 years in my new house I discovered the drain pipe for my HVAC system was not glued together upon installation. I called service and they sent a tech on a Saturday night ( excellent) Repair was made and I am pleased with the results.

Todays service was great. Took his time and seemed exceptionally thorough. Wore a mask throughout the service and appreciated that as well.Previous:Both technicians worked tirelessly...and for a long time to replace the defective coil and performed a six month service on the system. Ended up changing out the thermostat as well.Appreciated their help...just will now have to have Guardian out to reset the thermostat to relink it to Z-Wave automation.

Seems he identified source of v minor leak onto filter.I wish to point out that among the four different service visits Ive had, by four different men, during the past 15 months approximately, each of them tells me something different about frequency of change and installation of filters, about use of thermostats, and other issues.This does make it difficult for the homeowner to follow correct procedures and properly maintain the system. I dont usually post review but Im getting really frustrated. The cooling to my house is never working properly and been almost four months now. The techs usually push the work to someone else so its never fix the same day. Try to reach a supervisor but never is available or the call center forgets to ask. I wish I could say something good about this company but so far I cant.

I had a wet filter problem with my A/C. The Del-Air technicians found the problem that was caused by another company that recently provided maintenance on the unit. That company installed a Nu-Calgon pad that caused the drip plan to overflow and wet the filter. I need to change A/C maintenance companies.

Dell Air technicians have all been well trained and fixed the problem they came to resolve.Peter arrived about 8:00 last night and stayed until almost 11:00. He is excellent!Unfortunately, they have been here far too many times since the Trane Equipment seems to be a “lemon”. It’s a brand new home. We’ve lived here less than 2 months and we’ve already had 4 or 5 service calls.When you call in to report a problem, the staff are always very friendly and professional. They do an excellent job of updating arrival times for the repair staff.

This is a state of the art system, very technical, very EXPENSIVE. Two technicians have tried to repair the system, they were not able to decipher the operating system, they did not have the experience or knowledge of this system to diagnose or repair the systems error codes. Del-Air needs to contact Trane, have one of their qualified technicians come and determine why this system continues to breakdown, and fix it properly.Del-Air then contacted me, and advised they were sending out one of their top Supervisors to assess the situation. Sean arrived right on time, performed the analysis quickly, determined the blower motor needed to be replaced, then called the various warehouses to determine where to pick one up. Sean then proceed to drive from Tampa to Ft. Myers to pick up the new motor, a 5 1/2 hour round trip, so he could install the motor this afternoon, to ensure I had AC asap. That is what I call OUTSTANDING customer service!!! Thank you Sean!! Daisy said to say thank you as well!! With customer service like this, there is no debating why Del-Air is one of the largest, and best, HVAC companies in the US.

Delair repaired 3 AC in my building around November, the bill was around $9000.I paid it no problem. Few month later We called again because one of themwasnt working . They dispatched a Tech he went up on the roof to diagnoseFound out that who ever worked on it last didnt put enough freon after thatBig job in November. Delair wanted more money to add the freon I refusedSince they the one who worked on it last on top of that the Tech demande$129 for the diagnosis I refused to pay and I demanded they fill fix the ACSince they the one who did not fill the freon last time. (I got someone elsewho did the job for half the money.) The moral of the story is they screwedUp and they were trying to make more money of me .Del air used to be a good company I have been with them for over 15 yearsIn 3 locations. The company changed big time and they are money drivenand not friendly any more.

When called upon, I found Del-Air Heating and AC to be very responsive to my evening call. By early the next morning, the tech arrived promptly and was knowledgeable in all facets of my Carrier unit and quickly found two or three areas of concern. Very lazy company. I had a improvement project that I called them about because they were the company that worked with my builder constructing my house. The questions I was asked about the project could have been easily answered by looking at their file and reviewing the original A/C plan when the house was constructed. When I suggested this, I got the answer I dont have easy access to that. Well if the job was something you are interested in you would at least try to get the plans. When I said I guess you dont want to be bother with this project, the answer I got was That is one way to look at it. Too many A/C companies around to have to deal with the up and mighty.

The first was adequate, the second was an ass who thought he knew everything and talked to me like I was a moron. Then there was Jacob. Jacob came in and saved the day. The other 2 where in and out in 30 minutes. Jacob took the time to find the problems, look for solutions and make sure all was right with us before he left. Jacob you are the man. You restored my faith in Del-Air and we will forever be greatfull for your professionalism and knowledge. Yesterday I had an appointment between 9: an 2:00 PM, Peter arrived 6:20 PM.This was the 3rd visit in the last two weeks. First, was a module failure, it was replaced, the problem, he only had the wrong size and someone would return with the correct one. In the mean time we were scheduled for the contract maintenance. Second visit July 2nd, the tech arrived with correct module. Thats when the problem started, apparently he didnt wire everything correctly. The unit worked before he arrived, but when he left it didnt. Another night with no air. When Peter looked at the wiring job and stated he could see the problem, went to work and performed the maintenance, checked everything.Now it work like new, Kudos to PeterAlso, I paid for 6 filters which would be delivered when maintenance was done. CORRECT! STILL WAITING

I had a horrible experience posted on here a couple years ago, Google doesnt let you post a second review so I edited this one. I have not used Del Air since the last issue. However on Facebook in our community page every time someone asks for info on using Del Air there is nothing good written. All very similar experiences as my own.So how they are at 4.6 has me baffled. So if you read this stay far away. Tbey have literally a whole community of disgruntled clients who have just moved on to more honest and reliable companies.

Service call was over 2 hours late.If you call customer service be ready for up to a 20 minute hold.Service is done on a flat rate,With this said the cost was $224.00 for a 10 minute install.I will use a different company next time.

Wally Eichelkraut was a great help to us for setting up wi-if control and servicing the system. He advised us what to buy to clean the drain pipe. He was very patient with us (we have never had A/C), and very pleasant.He did leave a small notebook which I’m hoping he comes back for.

Terrible. 7 month old unit under warrantee stops working and not only does no one answer Del-Airs emergency line, when i finally do get a hold of someone they cant come out for 2-3 DAYS. It is summer in Florida, not acceptable. Use someone else. The first company I called after them can be out in a few HOURS (which I will have to do and pay for) because the company who installed the product and holds the warrantee is too busy to take care of their customers.

Del-Air installed the drain line incorrectly on my air handler causing extensive damage to my unit and the wood platform that is sits on. They have acknowledged that it was their fault, but are refusing to fix it. I also had a part in the compressor that was under warranty. They tried to charge me for the part without even checking the warranty.

I am really frustrated (mostly disappointed) by De-Air’s bad attitude, poor service, and over priced products & services. I gave Del-Air the benefit of the doubt by using them, since they originally installed the A/C in my brand new home. I was recently told by the home builder that there are far better A/C companies in the area to choose from for quality service.1.) During the construction of my home, Del-Air covered up an obvious mistake by the dry waller, when they decided anyway to install a ceiling fan cover that was way smaller than the hole. (In other words, the hole was too big for the fan). Del-Air failed to alert the builder of this problem. Del-Air half-heartedly installed the bathroom ceiling fan that was NOT even properly secured to the housing, in order to give a “make believe” appearance that the fan cover was correctly installed.2.) Del-Air charges double the price for A/C filters. When I asked them about this, a Rep from their Customer Service Dept stated that they sell over-priced filters as a “convenience” to their customers and that they’re not really in the A/C filter business. (Why then do you sell them?)3.) Before I moved into my brand new home, I contacted Del-Air, because I heard that they also sold appliances (washers & dryers). Del-Air was double the price, as I wisely purchased these items from a more reputable store.4.) Del-Air, as part of their 6-month maintenance service, only sprayed plain water on my outside A/C condenser. They essentially lied to me about removing the outter cover in order gain access & to clean out the drain plugs. (Why pay Del-Air $$$ to simply spray plain water into my unit & to not apply any type of anti-bacterial treatment to the outside condenser?). To no surprise, Del-Air offered to perform this basic service for MORE $$$ than what was quoted.It’s absolutely sad when when my level of confidence is lessened by over-priced poor service.

Lost air conditioner last Saturday July 13th. Left message with address, name and cell phone number twice. Called again Monday July 15th. Indicated we have an extended Gold Contract gave cell phone number, name and address again. Operator indicated the Gold Contract holders are serviced on Wednesday’s??? Wednesday came and went. Our neighbor had to open the house due to us being snow birds. Finally after several conversations it was scheduled for Thursday July 19th. Fixed finally without a service report?? May look for another supplier!!!M

If I could give 0 stars thats what I would give.Shot version for those of you dont want to read the detail:All they did was CHARGE AND GO DURING THE SERVICE WARRANTLY PERIOD. ONCE WARRANTY WAS OVER THEY ARE NOW READY TO PROPERLY FIX THE SAME PROBLEM WHICH EXISTED FROM YEAR ONE AND YEAR TWO WHICH WAS NEVER FIXED PROPERLY AT FULL PRICE.So Del Air installed my system in a new house we bought and had service warranty for 2 years. We moved into the house winter of 2018 and had problem with cooling in the summer of 2019. At the time we contacted Delair and Pete came out and resolved the issue. WAS TOLD WE WERE VERY LOW ON REFRGERANT AND THIS COULD HAPPEN THE FIRST YEAR BECAUSE AT THE TIME OF INSTALL IT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN CHARGED PROPERLY. And I Had left very good review as he was very professional and experienced tech and had the job done.A year goes by summer of 2020 same issue happened. Pete came out again, REFRIGERANT LOW AGAIN. He performed refrigerant check and could not identify leak as it was very windy outside the unit during the test. AGAIN REFRIGERANT WAS RECHARGED, problem solved. There was no follow up visit scheduled to identify the leak.Now again this summer we have same issue, Del-AIR Tech came, before even doing a complete test he was able to go directly to the leak locations. (I wonder how). Now that our warranty expired in December, although the issue persisted from year one, year two to year three and was never fixed properly, Delair wont take responsibility of their work. When asked, apparently they only have record of coming to my house for repair on the first year. So seems like the second time Pete came out and did recharge and did a leak test vanished from their system, now the customer is made look like dishonest by claiming that the problem persisted year 2 and that Del-air had come again to fix the same problem from year one.We are light user of AC, considering this I would have to think the leak is very small and happens over the year, and when shows up in summer months when the use is high.I had done proper maintenance as recommended by Pete, replacing the filter and cleaning the drain system every 60-90 days. Followed all instructions. Yet Del-Air want to wash their hands.The technician even suggested I refuse to pay for the service call, so this way they can refuse to have repair done in the future . I still payed for the service call as this is the right thing to do for his work. But I am extremely disappointed with their service. I even requested for call back from manager which I am still waiting to this day. I even asked if I can talk to Pete who came out both times for the repair so that he can vouch for the second time he came out which is not in their system, but was refused.My initial review 2019I had great experience with the technician Peter who came out. He was good at what he did, and also made very good conversation throughout the process. We enjoyed his company and problem was diagnosed and fixed very quickly. : This was my post in 2019 when they first came out.

Worst company on the planet. Thought Comcast held #1 position for complete lack of customer service, but Del Air makes them look good.Their service contracts mean nothing, dont buy them. Their parts and service departments are rude and inadequate, care less attitudes and rude beyond belief. Without AC for over 8 days and I am under contract with them. Was given three different prices for the repairs and never could get a detailed invoice as to what I was charged. Used my warranty to order a part from Lennox that they never installed in my unit. Beware! These folks should be put out of business.

On a semi annual service call the technician was called away for an emergency at 8:40 AMHe left my unit disabled unknown to meLater that day I knew something was wrong when the temperature got to 83 degreesI called at 5 pm and they sent Wally who returned the unit to service by putting the compressor disconnect back in the outside boxHe then performed the semiannual maintenanceOverall I have been happy with DelAir but calling away the tech and leaving my unit disabled is totally unacceptable
